Weapons Are Human

"Yeah, there's a cupboard in the bathroom that you can take from." Leila responded. She turned to leave when she remembered something, turning back to face Cisco.

"Feel free to use any of the products there. They're all labeled." She said with a smile. Her parents had a different bathroom from her, so everything might be a bit feminine smelling for a male, but none were particularly powerful.

Cisco nodded and went to go take the shower. It will be nice to be clean after the years of being on the street. Who knows how dirty he is. Cisco got to the shower and started the water. He notice that some of the bottles of products were very... Colorful. Once the water was nice and hot, he took off what he had and stepped in.

Leila darted around the kitchen to make a meal, humming the whole time. She could hear the water running upstairs. She hadn't said anything, but Cisco did smell a bit. It was easy to ignore for her. She had often helped her father with his work and people sometimes lost control of their bladders. Now that was a foul smell. She wiped her hand on a cloth, not wanting to get her clothes dirty.

"Clothes!" She realized. She closed the lid on the pot, turned the temperature down, and dashed to her father's room. He was there reading a book.

"Can I give Cisco some of your clothes? He doesn't have anything clean to change into." Leila requested. Her father raised an eyebrow. His daughter didn't ask for much and he had plenty of clothing.

"Sure." Leila smiled in thanks and grabbed a shirt and pants. She went to the door of her bathroom.

"Cisco." She called. "I've got a change of clothes here for you. They're probably too big, but I'm leaving them on the floor outside the door." She placed them down and went back to the kitchen. She resumed cooking and humming.

Cisco got in the shower, taking in the heat of the water and letting of a sigh in relief. After a moment he herd that Leila got some cloths for him.

"Okay." He said before continuing with the shower. After he finished, he stopped the water and got out to grab a towel and dry his hair a bit before putting on the cloths that were left outside.

Leila had gone into her own world created by the tune she hummed. She had become a kung-fu master with a ladle in hand. The soup simmered quietly as Leila bashed invisible enemies with her own soundtrack. At least she didn't make sound effects. Somehow, she managed to gather all the necessary eating utensils in her odd state. Hopefully no one would see her prancing around like an idiot.

Cisco got the clothes on but notice that he had to hold up the pants or else they'll fall. Cisco sighed.

"She could at least given me underwear along with the shirt and pants." He said. Cisco then smelled something good in the kitchen. Cisco went to the smell and saw Leila prancing around like a fool. He couldn't help but chuckle a bit before it turned into laughing quietly.

Leila stopped in her tracks, mid joust. Somewhere along the line, she had gone back the the medieval era. But that wasn't important. There was a chuckle from behind her. Slowly turning her head, she saw Cisco holding his pants and laughing at her. Her face flushed a bright red that reached the tips of her ears. Her mouth opened and closed as she searched for words, but only imitating a fish. She turned away and walked on stiff legs to the pot on the stove.

"Soup." Was all she could manage to say, dishing some into a bowl.

Cisco chuckled a bit more before looking at the pot which was filled with the soup that Leila made. It smelled good as it filled the area inside the house.

"Smells good." He said, "what were you doing before I got here? It looked funny." He chuckled a bit again when he thought about what happened.

Embarrassment coursed through Leila's entire body. She put the bowl down and slowly shuffled forward a few steps, back still turned to Cisco. She reached to grab a lemon from the fruit bowl. Every movement careful and calculated; hidden from Cisco's vision. In one swift movement, she turned and threw it at him with accuracy that surprised her.

Cisco chuckled even more when he kept thinking about that little scene. He closed his eyes for a second before opening them again. Once he opened them, he saw a lemon coming at his face fast. Cisco quickly, with both hands, grabbed the lemon before it hit his face. His pants were now loose and with the sudden reflex of catching the fruit, his pants fell.

Time seemed to slow down for a moment. Realization hit Leila like a truck filled with bricks. She squeaked, and spun around. She crouched on the floor with both hands over her eyes.

"I didn't see anything!" She said quickly.

Cisco realized that his pants fell when he caught the lemon and looked down. He dropped the lemon and quickly pulled his pants back up. His face was red and he looked at Leila as she was crouched on the ground over there with her hands covering her eyes. For some reason Cisco didn't believe her when she said that she didn't see anything. He blushed more and turned away from her.

The lemon rolled towards Leila and bumped her foot. She looked at it between her fingers. 'It's all your fault.' She glared at the innocent object. She was still fighting the blush on her face. She took a deep breath and stood up. Somehow, she tripped on her own feet and toppled over, landing on her back. 'Can this get worse?' She questioned herself.

Cisco never experience this time of situation before so he didn't know how to react. He just stood there facing away from her while he held his pants up. When he turned around again, he saw Leila on the floor on her back.

"Um... Hi?" Leila said, noticing Cisco's eyes on her. Why did everything have to be going wrong to make her look even more foolish? She quickly scrabbled to get up. She dusted herself off, trying to regain some sense of dignity.

"Here's the food." She handed the bowl of hot soup over.

Cisco nodded when she mentioned the food. He took the soup with one hand and laid it down on a nearby surface. He shook off some of the heat on his hand from the bowl and sat down. Once he was seated he brought his hands on the table and looked at the soup. Smelling it and feeling the heat coming off from it.

With her face finally returning to its normal colour, Leila sat opposite Cisco. She gently blew on her food to cool it down before she began eating. She watched the Weapon out the corner of her eye, trying to inconspicuously look at him. She remembered what happened only moments ago and the blush came back in full force.

Cisco started to eat his soup that Leila made. He really liked the taste since it didn't taste like watered meat juice. He enjoyed the soup and just focus on it, not looking up at Leila.

"This is good." He said to her as he looked up for the first time.

Cisco's eyes met her own and Leila's blush had yet to subside.

"Th-thank you." She stuttered, trying to hide herself behind her bangs. She wasn't used to compliments. They made her feel flustered. But, hearing Cisco saying that made her feel happy as well. He hadn't been teasing or mean as others had. He sounded honest.

Cisco notice her blushing and the little stutter that she did. For some reason Cisco thought it was a bit cute. He looked back down at the soup before he got too into thought of it. He continued to eat his soup as the time goes by.

Leila glanced at the kitchen clock. It was getting late. They had eaten their whole meal in silence. Leila breathed out a sigh.

"Well, um." She started, unsure how to continue. "I think I'll be heading for bed soon." She said to Cisco.

Cisco looked at the time and then looked back at Leila. He nodded when she said that she's turning in.

"Yeah, that sounds good." He said as he stood up. "So the guest bedroom is next to yours?" He asked.

"Yeah." Leila replied with a smile. She gathered the dirty plates and put them in the sink. "I'll show you." She led the way upstairs and stood outside her own door.

"It's that one." She said, pointing to the door to the left.

Cisco followed her up the stairs and stopped at her door. He looked at the door to his left and nodded.

"Okay" he said as he walked to the door.

"Good night." Leila said before dashing into her room. She slapped her hands to her cheeks. She had blushed more today than she had the rest of her life combined. Why? Some of the things that happened shouldn't have made her so embarrassed. It was weird. She sighed and flopped onto her bed. Stretching out her arms, her hand bumped the wall. Leila looked at it. That wall was the one between the two rooms, she realized. For some reason, that just made her face flare up again. 'Why?' She yelled the question in her head, covering her face with her arm.

"Damn it." She cursed under her breath.
