Soon. I'm fighting a nasty cold at the moment and have very little motivation. But I don't want to leave everyone hanging, so I'll muster up some strength and continue on with the game.

Ah, I see. In that case, take as much time as you need to recover. Was just afraid you hadn't noticed my last post.

I managed to avoid the crud earlier this year, but it looks like it's catching up with me too. Either that or I'm having a rough time with a sudden onslaught of seasonal allergies. Best of luck z.z

Sorry guys, was out camping this past week/weekend and got sick, so I missed a whole slew of posts. Should be caught up now. :)

I'm going to assume that the teashop's called the Jasmine Dragon, and that the owner's nephew has a large burn scar on his face. ;)

Lol I wasn't sure that anyone would catch the reference. Kudos to you.

Me, too. Avatar is a great story, with top rate animation and character development.

It's gonna be real sad if assimilation efforts go sour there. Zuko and Iroh were among my favorite characters of all time.

So far Chaing Dav doesn't scream fortress as loud as I'd thought. It will be interesting to see if negotiations are possible with leaders that are liable to be zealots, or desperate to save face after the house being battered and broken by the Bull.

On another note, I'd been working on the lore of the nation some (currently in the characters section) so some small bits have been updated. At some point, I need to get around to elaborating on the role of the Righteous Order of the Celestial Imperium imperial cults and clergy, specifically in regards to the worship of Exalts, gods, and the expectations put upon god-blooded / half-castes.

I'd like to try jumping back in one more time. Can I just get a summary of what's happened recently?

Absolutely, just let me know the last thing you remember and I'll do my best to help you catch up.

Well the last thing was everyone else killed that one guy...filial wisdom, I think?

There's been a lot of small threads, but I'll try and keep things simple.

Filial Wisdom, the mad solar that was ruling a mob of goblins and mutants, has been defeated. The dark spirit, Han-Tha, that was manipulating him was also defeated by our Sidereal allies.

After the battle, there was a necromancer that had entered the central pyramid, which we were fighting on. We confronted him and forced him to spill information about his master's plans in the city. The Sidereals then murdered him instantly. What we had learned was that the deathlord active in the area was trying to gain access to a behemoth locked underneath the city. We don't know where specifically it is locked up, nor do we know where the key is. We are also speculating as to whether the key merely unseals the behemoth, allows us to command it, or potentially both.

In the time since then, we've mostly been recovering and figuring out our next moves. Siroco has been scouting the city, Annika has been scouting a realm fortress somewhat nearby named Chiang Dav, Viktor has been analyzing a hidden door within the central pyramid (Pyramid of the Sun), and Aredin and Darian have been going to the other two pyramids to attune to those manses after learning what they can of what lies beneath the city.

It's not clear yet who all plans on going, but we are preparing to head to the underways beneath Rathess to eliminate infestations of ogres and various creatures of darkness. One of our potential solutions is to bind some ogres to our will to fight against the other subterranean creatures. Otherwise, we can merely carve paths through.

Everyone, feel free to chime in if I missed something important, but I think that was all the high points. Most of the smaller details are still unraveling I believe.

Happy Easter everybody!

Hard to believe this game's almost hit a year already. This one's probably the most fun I've had with the line thus far.

Yes, happy easter. And I'm amazed at how long this game has lasted, given most of my prior experiences on this site.

Happy Easter indeed! And it is thanks to all of you that this game has lasted as long as it has, due to your interest in keeping the story going. I once had a Robotech game that was active here for over four years before I finally retired it. That was a good run. I hope to keep things lively enough to have you all stick around for a long time to come!
