Feel free to post your next day's activities. I wouldn't mind moving on.

I've just been waiting on a response from the Sidereal these last few days, and Viktor and Durke appear to be in the middle of something.

I don't mind moving forward, the Viktor and Durke conversation can be continued concurrently by stating [Previously] at the top of the post.

I'm mired in a swamp of technical writing. I'll have time to follow up when I get back from the office. =d

I don't mind finishing my interview/interrogation and moving on to the next day.

Well damn, I'm glad I didn't pre-write the conversion attempt. I'm rather surprised he could get an effect off like that with the manacles on, but I guess Astrological Resplendencies don't require charms or motes. I don't think any equivalents to Everywhere and Nowhere Technique would apply though given the conditions of the various stealth effects. I'm legitimately stumped. Well, time to see if we can bag the rogue Sid.

Haha! Not gonna lie, there's nothing quite like thinking you've got it all under control, and then being thoroughly surprised as the rug is ripped from underfoot!

Until we know better, I'm just gonna assume he had some special item stored away (sorta-like Octavian's acorn). I am pretty confident in the Soulsteel Manacle's efficiency in preventing him from using any abilities of his own; however, what's to say he wasn't hiding a small item on his body? Honestly, a 1000+ year old Sidereal is gonna have some wicked tricks up his sleeves, and I don't think its far-fetched at all to suspect he straight-up mundane stealthed an item past the guards. Especially if they were focused more on his weapons and dangerous-looking items, rather than some tiny innocuous trinket. It would also fit with his comments: wait until he gathers the info he wants, then choose to leave (aka crush the item and be whisked away to a predetermined location).

Definitely excited to see what kind of wrench this throws into our plans! Cue a renewed fear of unwelcome Heavenly visitors! :)

I am now going to have an even harder time getting to bed thanks to this plot twist of yours, Shirley.

Assuming we survive Rathess, I'm only 2 charms away from an army slaughtering singularity. I think we'll be ok short of an all Bronze Faction hit squad...which I'd expect to prioritize the Bull first, but who knows, these people already had us high enough on the hit list to target us this early on.

Edit: Speaking of sleep... after that post and jaydude jaydude a nap sounds pretty kickass right now... Work wore out 2 of my 3 brain cells D:

Psychie Psychie I believe between your charms and hearthstone this was the most effective way to get the lay of the land quickly. Let me know if you have another idea.

Just wondering, does anyone have a better candidate for the Obsidian Sheath armor than our Dawn caste of Durke? It gives good protection, but IIRC, it also boosts the strength of the wearer by three dots. Just the thing for a sword-wielding brute of a Exalt.

Up to you guys, since I was wondering if anyone was going to tap into that asset or not.

The attunement's a little rough but I'd certainly snag it if Durke or Viktor don't need it. The black trimmed in orichalcum certainly fits the character's caste aesthetic, as well as affinity for Dragon King Artifacts.

As a player, I love that thing and would be very happy making use of it.

That being said, Viktor will definitely wait to see what Durke thinks first, as he'll think it should go to the Dawn first unless they don't have an interest in it. If Aredin decides he needs it, Viktor won't argue, but he will be interested in at least studying it if he doesn't claim it for himself.

Seven motes is a little steep, but it is not overwhelmingly so compared to other armors that you can get.

I think the lack of armor penalties combined with the strength and mobility boost is worth it. If nothing else, Viktor should definitely study it for replication.

Speaking of... who was the original owner? I imagine a Dragon-Blooded would be very hesitant to wear it.

Maybe they were a secret Infernal, so they didn't mind wearing the Obsidian Sheath? As the group of Immaculates spied on Solars, perhaps that individual themselves spied on Mellar?! O.o

It was taken from one of the Daiklave wielders that is now deceased.

Kalin Scarlet Kalin Scarlet Just took a look at your character sheet, that is a really neat Virtue Flaw! Both unique while also dovetailing nicely into your motivation. Can't wait to RP with you in the main thread! :)
