Fantasy Through The Portal

Azalea perked up immediately. "Okay!" She said brightly. But who to invite with her? She headed down the hallway after Kenshi and glanced into Bliss's room. She didn't look in any state to train... Maybe Randeruck would train with her, or Shin. She left Kenshi and Leoch to tend to Bliss and went to look for them. Whoever she found first, she decided, she'd ask. If he didn't want to she'd look for the other.

@Nenma Takashi @Randeruck

Kenshi replied "What happens, happens. Though I don't think you'll return from a real fight against my big brother."

Meanwhile, Dragna downstairs was standing infront of map plotting points. He thought aloud "My brother encountered the hooded figure here and other sightings are over here and here. Gradually some sightings allow me to depict their direction. It seems a few of them may converge here in the northern woods." He gestured to various dots on the map.

Leoch sighed and rubbed his temples. He was beginning to doubt the worthiness of this mission. "Very well," he agreed wearily. He tossed a small bag of red tea leaves to Kenshi. "Boil water and put a pinch of these in it. Don't put too much, or the mixture might result in a three-day sleep." Glancing at Bliss, who was looking worse by the second, he added, "And hurry. Now, where is your brother?"

Kenshi caught the tea bag with one hand. He then replied "He's just down the stairs and through the hallway, he should be standing infront of a map." Kenshi then left and walked through the building to the kitchen. He took a cauldron and filled it with enriched enhancing water he created using Chi. He then threw a mini fireball at the base of the cauldron to create an unnaturally hot fire underneath the cauldron. He then pressed his hand to the cauldron and used mana to reinforce it to cope with the heat. He then opened the bag and added a pinch of the leaves. He then went into a cupboard and removed a kettle and a teacup on a teacup plate. Once the tea was ready he used chi to bend a ball of water into the kettle. He then poured some tea into the teacup and carried it back up stairs to Bliss. He offered the tea to Bliss silently.

Shin stretched and punched the air sending shock waves through it. He then ran in a circle a few times fast he was a blur then looked at his hands his knuckles were scraped and had scars but that was from a long time ago he rubbed the scar above his eye and sighed.

Bliss was sitting in the bed still, trying to gather herself once more. She shook her head and set the bloodied cloth down, taking the tea softly. "Thank you..." Bliss said gently, blowing on the tea then taking a small sip. Energy flowed through her bones and she stopped shaking from terror. "What's this talk a-about training?" She asked Kenshi, keeping her eyes on the cup of cheery tea and off of him. Stay calm. It'll be fine. It wasn't real. You're with and elf, he can help. She thought, taking an deep breath and drinking a little more tea.

Azalea continued down the hallway, poking her head through doorways as she looked for Shin or Randeruck. "Anybody down here?" She called, pulling on the handle of yet another door. Perhaps she should just go back and talk to Bliss, after all. But she's so... fragile... all the time. Azalea thought and sighed, tucking one of her braids behind her ear. As powerful as Bliss sometimes was, Azalea didn't particularly want to spend hours of time with the other girl... But then again, maybe she'd be less afraid once she'd had some training. Shrugging to herself, she decided to continue until the end of the hallway. If she hadn't found either of the boys by then, she'd just have to learn to put up with Bliss. If she'd gotten over whatever had happened by then, of course. Azalea still wasn't clear on what she'd been screeching about, since she hadn't stopped by to ask.

Shin turned a corner and bumped into Azalea he froze and began saying he was sorry over and over again. "I should have been looking where I was going."

"Well you guys all need training so I am choosing 2 of you for now to train. You're kind of out of the pool because you're sick but this chi enhanced tea should passively help you. Azalea is the 1st and she is going to pick the second. Meanwhile I do have some training to offer you. In one of the bookcases you should find a book of plants in this realm. You should look into it because some plants can be more battle useful than others." Kenshi explained.

@Miss Mack

Azalea laughed. "It's all right. Anyway, Kenshi's going to train me and one other person. He told me to choose. Want to join me? I think we're going to start as soon as he's done with Bliss. He told me to bring whoever else with me to the courtyard and meet him there." She studied Shin carefully. He really needed to relax around girls, she reflected. She resisted the urge to raise her eyebrows or roll her eyes, and instead rearranged her features into a cautious smile.

Shin changed at the mention of training. "Training count me in!" He completely forgot about his fears. But part of him also knew he needed to get better around girls Bliss was no problem but Azalea may be a bit tough since she seemed to be pretty good at fighting.

"Great! Let's go." Azalea tossed her head and went back the way she had come, slowing down as she passed Bliss's room to glance in. It looked like Kenshi was still there, but she was sure he'd be there shortly. She practically ran down the stairs, taking them two or three at a time, glancing over her shoulder to see if Shin was following. She was glad the idea of training excited him. It seemed to make him less afraid of her, too. If Kenshi and Leoch's fears were anything to go by, they might have to fight side by side someday soon. When that day came, it would be best if they could trust each other.

Kenshi seeing Azalea and Shin go by decided he should get to the courtyard for their training. He told Bliss "Just drink the tea and rest you should bounce back better than before." Kenshi then Speed Teleported to the central courtyard. Kenshi then began to consider what directions he wants to develop their powers into. He thought aloud "I want to get Azalea into the advanced side of her fire manipulation. Shin also needs to enter the advanced side of his powers."

Shin was getting pumped for training he punched the air a few times. "Oh man what kind of training is this huh huh oh man I hope it's good!" Shin kept punching the air and seemed to get faster everytime.

Azalea shook her head in amusement, smiling to herself, and walked over to Kenshi. "What are we doing?" She asked, flexing her fingers and cracking her knuckles. "Can I let my flames out now? I promise not to burn your house down." She was almost begging in her eagerness to begin, rocking back and forth on her toes excitedly. Finally, she would be able to learn how to use and control it. Her attacks against the monsters earlier had been clumsy and weak, it seemed to her now. She needed to be strong.

Kenshi said to Azalea "Okay so you have the basic portion down I assume which are burning, melting, incineration, as well as generating, absorbing, and creating flames. So now I want you to focus on solidifying those flames and then making constructs from them. Basically I want you to be able to use the creative portion of your flames."

Kenshi then turned to Shin "Your conditioning will never reach it's full potential unless you cover you missed areas. Starting with 100% Muscle Usage, I want you to practice doing that all the time or under most normal circumstances. You'll understand when I teach you its techniques."

(OOC: Sorry guys. For some reason I haven't been getting notifications on this thread, so I haven't been responding.)

Leoch cautiously crept down the stairs. He had been ambushed more than once, and he wasn't very keen on the idea of it happening again. He checked his corners, keeping one hand on the dagger hidden beneath the folds of his clothes. Finally locating Dragna, he silently stepped out from the dark corner. "Hello again," he greeted coolly, keeping any trace of emotion from his voice. He carefully analyzed the man in front of him, ready for the slightest sign of an attack. "You summoned?" he asked.

"100% muscle usage?" Shin repeated alittle confused was that his power he just figured he got a speed and strength boost going through the portal.

Dragna looked at Leoch not returning the greeting. "Yes, I summoned you. We're going to the northern forest. If you check my sightings map that is where the Shadows seem to be proceeding towards. I also don't trust you enough to let you go anywhere to far from me where I can't keep an eye on you."

Kenshi replied to Shin. "Yes you seem to possess an enhanced physical condition. But you'll he proceeding the wrong way if you don't even cover the sub basics. Currently whether you know it or not, you only use 30% of your muscles. So I am going to have you repeatedly have an adrenaline rush which will make you for a moment use 100% of you muscle, this should eventually make the use of 100% of you muscles second nature."

"Okay, I'll try!" Azalea flexed her fingers and watched in fascination as the blue flames sprung to life, dancing on her fingertips. She allowed the flames to travel across her skin, condensing in her palm, growing larger and larger. It was like discovering a new muscle, sluggish and clumsy with disuse. But she hoped to change that. Quickly enough, she learned that it was possible for her to control the blaze only with her mind, but that it was much, much easier to use hand movements to direct it. She flexed her fingers and spread her arms wide, as if she was holding a rope between them. The fire stretched out to brush both hands, and she focused on concentrating it to a bright white, flexible string. The fire singed her sleeve as it trailed a little, but her skin remained unburned.

Leoch scanned the map on the table, committing its symbols and roads to memory. "This is the part when you say, 'no offense'," he replied dryly. Trying to drag me out into the forest where there's no witnesses? Leoch thought to himself. Instead, he said, "Fine. When do we leave? And what happens if we get into a fight with one of these creatures?"

Shin practiced using 100% of muscle usage and punched the air he grabbed his arm. "Ow that hurt!" He did it again remembering the breathing sis taught him. "Remember Shin breath when you punch so you don't strain yourself." He remembered her saying then mimicked her jabs and did her special a Chopping Right. Which was a downward right hook the air shook and sent a wave of wind blowing knocking himself back a bit.

"No Shin you're doing it all wrong, you're not pumping enough adrenaline. That means I have to step this up. I am going to force you to have an Adrenaline Rush. My first way will be to put you on a slope with a 10 ton metal plate on you. And all you have to do is have a rush exactly at the edge to get the plate off yourself." Kenshi explained. He then stepped on the ground and it opened a deep crevice so deep the bottom isn't visible with a downward steep slope leading into it. Kenshi then pushed his hand forward and using Chi created a 10 ton plate that flew at Shin to knock him onto the slope.

Kenshi then said to Azalea "Good string but your flame is still burning, try going for a hand of flames like so." Kenshi used chi to create a long arm with big hand of flames and used it to pick up a rock and then dropped it at Azalea's feet revealing not heat altered to the rock.

Dragna replied "I meant what I meant. We leave now, and if we encounter trouble we deal with it. My goal is to squeeze information out of an intelligent one." Dragna then tossed a rucksack to Leoch which contained supplies. Dragna picked up his own before motioning for Leoch to follow.
