Thagnarok, the Grandmaster

Unnamed house in Lorthington

Thagnarok was just about to drain the souls of the two villagers to get back to Death's Gate when a girl suddenly barged into the house. Seeing her weapons, he thought she was some sort of demon hunter. But there was something about her. A strong and malicious aura lingers around her.

Then he saw her hand. Dark magic. If he had a human face, he would have raised an eyebrow in amusement.
"Now how did one possess such a power? Especially for a young girl." He questioned her straightaway without posing any sort of threats.

"Really? That's odd then, so many people pay their life's fortunes to get ahold of them" she rubber her chin while taking out a list of her jobs. Those listed on the left were jobs that had to be done immediately and those on the right could wait. Those that were underlined had a great sum of money as a reward and those written in another color of ink had priceless information as a reward. 'He's probably hiding something. There's no way a dark magician would want those wings,' she thought to herself as she eyed his cautiously.

"So what's your magic?" she broke the silence.

"Sorry but I'm not thirsty. If you have something to say then just say it now." He didn't move as he said this and stayed ready to draw a knife at any time. His eyes also never left the swords at the man's sides. @Jack of Cloves

I was looking over our shoulder trying to see the list you were looking at, when you suddenly turned it surprised me. startling me right back into the cart, "M-Magic? Well, I can heal people. And shoot fire, besides that I'm not really sure what else I have." Only half of that was a lie, I knew I had another power but I wasn't sure how to go about it.

And attacking people from the sky isn't really more of a power, it's pretty much jumping someone from up above

"I'm very interested in you" The man moves his hair away from his face, "I have seen your handy work as an adventurer and I am very impressed" Leo pulls out a fancy piece of paper to you, "I am throwing a party later on this week and I would like you to attend, as a guard of course. I am currently sending other invitations to your other hunter friends and high ranking nobles. It is located at the Mor Mansion, I'm sure you've heard of that last name before."

He tries to hide a grin, "Especially since, I'm pretty sure that is the last name of one of your co-workers/adventurers. Jack Mor have you heard of him?"

((@Eraticwanderer

"Haven't heard of him." He says flatly. "I haven't really taken the time to know my coworkers. Plus I just joined this almost hopeless cause three days ago. Haven't met most of the people." He reaches one hand out slowly and takes the paper from the man. "Though I might be there. I wouldn't say I'm interested in you but well, I haven't really wanted to see someone die so much before." As he finishes his sentence he has a knife drawn and thrown at you while he leaps backwards. @Jack of Cloves

I gracefully spin out of the way of your knife, "Well, I look forward to seeing you then

monsieur" I spin and take big strides to my carriage having it take off before you can have the chance to reach me.

((Smart man, I see you've played portal before. Because you already know The cake is a lie @Eraticwanderer

He tsks while watching the carriage roll away. "It seems I should find out who this Jack Mor is." He starts to walk back in the direction he came from. Back towards the castle because where else would you find an adventurer.

((Love the reference @Jack of Cloves

"Young girl?" Naomi responded, obviously annoyed. "For your information, I'm a young lady, not a child." She seemed to have regained her sense of arrogance. She crossed her arms and held her chin up. "And this?" she signaled at her hand before making the aura disappear. "Something from a few books... and a little bird." She smirked. Judging by the way this... "thing" was acting, she figured that she wasn't in any real danger, though she still felt an abnormal pressure in the room.

"Before you ask, I came here looking for a strange man." Her eyes wandered around the room, looking for anything of value. "I thought that maybe I could get something out of him." She snickered. "But it looks like no one's here but you." She hadn't seen Thagnarok turn into his true form, but she seemed to put two and two together after seeing the unconscious bodies.

@MrPotato

I take out the scroll from my shirt and unfurl it, feeling the power in the palm of my hands is. Exhilarating, "I can not wait until the party." I purr, plotting out my plan.

((Thank you @Eraticwanderer but that's only the ICING of the cake. Lol I'm sorry

Thagnarok suddenly grew short, equivalent to the height of Naomi. His helm faded and replacing it was Naomi's very own face. The hair, the eyes, the facial features were exactly the same. Thagnarok's armor shedded and replacing it was human skin and clothes similar to that of Naomi.

"There is no strange man. Only a... young lady." Thagnarok mimicked her voice. Out of nowhere, the same type of death hound she had seen appeared behind Thagnarok and barked at Naomi. Thagnarok walked around Naomi, mimicking her waking style as well. "The Dark Legion could use someone like you."

@RazingCatfish

Naomi was annoyed and felt as though she was being mocked. The death hound's barking only made her angry. She growled, and her left hand became shadowy again. She made a motion in the air with it as if tightening a rope around something, and shadowy chains appeared around the hound's legs, tightening and making it fall over helpless. She took one of her knives and threw it at the hound. It landed square in its forehead, and Naomi returned her attention to the creature walking around her. Whether the hound was dead or not, she didn't care. She just wanted it to shut up.

"What do I get?" she asked with aggravation evident in her voice. She folded her arms again and eyed the figure that looked like her.

Thagnarok simply smiled. He stopped on Naomi's left and snapped his finger. The corpse of the death hound instantly turned to drops of gold coins. The coins splattered on the floor and the amount of gold coins were triple what a rich merchant could earn. "You can earn a bit of that. Or maybe even this." Thagnarok vanished and appeared at a dark corner of the room in his original form. "Mhmm, wealth and power. What could be better." He spoke in his original voice.

"You're pretty quick to offer all this to someone you met only a few minutes ago," Naomi chuckled. "Who are you anyway?"

She couldn't help but stare at the gold coins. "... And what would you want me to do?" She was already very tempted by the money, but she was at least careful enough to keep her freedom in her work.

"I am the Grandmaster." He spoke seriously. He does not wish to speak of anything more about himself to a potential new member. "What I seek is simple." He spoke as he 'floated' to her. "I want my hands on every single piece of information on the ancient dark arts. I don't care how you do it. I don't care how you get it. Get it done. And that would be yours." He said as he pointed to the big amount of gold on the floor. "If you're interested, come to Death's Gate." And with that, Thagnarok vanished with the gold still laying on the wooden floor.

Death's Gate

Thagnarok stood at the top of Death's Gate. He went down the steps to greet the others.

(Sorry for late reply. Busy with band lately)

Nachtjaeger sprinted towards her father. "Daddy, your back!", she exclaimed, suddenly clinging onto him. The cold killer had turned to a little girl. "I missed you! Next time i wanna join!", she said, still hugging him.

Mas made his way slowly back to the castle. When he got there, a guard came up to him and said "Sir. The king wishes to speak."

Mas groans, "The king? He better not be thinking he can order me around. Oh and...guard person. Do you know a man named Jack Mor?"

The guard looks irritated but responds "No sir. I have never heard of him sir."

"Eh whatever." Mas walks away from the guard and heads towards the king's chamber.

"Death's Gate..." Naomi picked up one of the gold coins and flipped it in her hand. She pondered the offer that had been made to her, thinking of how much richer she would be than she was when she was younger. She thought of her family and what they were probably doing right now. Her father was probably out fishing, and her mother was most likely in her library. And Michael... probably a highly-respected paladin by now...

She shook her head, confused as to why her family came to mind. Maybe it was all the money before her? Surely, she'd be able to prove to her family that she was worth something.

A myriad of thoughts came into her mind. Revenge? Humiliation? She grinned deviously. "Dear, dear, brother..."

"That's a tad common for a unique species such as yourself. I've seen many kinds of beings that walk the earth because of my job and lots of them have unique magic." She commented rather bluntly as she chewed on her bitter snack. She offered the pure chocolate stick to him and snickered, "Although I do forgive you for being cautious around me. Perhaps that is a wise move on your part."

I laugh, "You're quite the observer" I didn't deny the fact that I was hiding something, "Ah and thank you." I take the chocolate stick and I take a little bite of it scrunching up my nose, 'I was never good with candy, but it looked so good' I sob in the corner morning the fact that I can't have candy.

"Um, so. How did you get into the bounty hunter businesses if you don't mind me asking." I ask while trying to take another bite of the candy.

Death's Gate

Thagnarok quickly turned into his human form before embracing his daughter. Although he had left her since young, he dotes on her. "Yes perhaps you can join the next 'expedition'. I expect it won't be long till we can cross through the Mahaya forest and find the Ancient Kingdom." He said confidently. "Now, has Leo returned?"

Everin brushed her hair off her face and looked at the sky, "Elves are usually known for their incredible wealth and talents however the country my family is from isn't rich in mining materials and farmlands so majority of the children are trained in warfare and sent to the capital to be trained as soldiers so they can send money home. I on the other hand wanted to travel learn about the world. Something else happened in the past but I kind of forgot it. I just remember being sought after by a couple of shadow guilds because of my magic and talents and well now I am a mercenary for hire." It was a good day that day, the sun was blocked out by the clouds, leaving the lands in a cool and calm weather. It's been a while since she could stop and admire the scenery, she's been traveling too much in her lifetime.

"Hmm. When he has return, ask him to meet me at once. That manuscript contains vital information to our next phase." He told his daughter. "There might be a big event in Aikido. I'll need everyone soon, that includes you."

I nod my head, "I can relate to not knowing much about your past, I've never liked the way I was raised. I guess it's a good thing that I'm stubborn though." I knock on my head and I laugh. After talking I looked around and felt the cool breeze, "Hm, I guess I lied. I want to say that I can't remember but it's more like I don't want to remember."

I lay back in the cart and watched as the scenery passed by, "You're quite interesting, I would love to have the honor of knowing you better." I move behind you and watched the horses lead us across a wooden bridge, "So let me introduce my self again. I'm Jack Mor, my profession is an Adventurer."
