Fantasy Those who came before

Jack

I hop into the back of the carriage, "You can call me Jake" I lied and continued to look out the sky, "And what is yours Ms. Bounty hunter?" I watch your back waiting for a response.

- Meredith: A Few Hours Later -

The fire of the candle was dim in the dark room, causing weird shadows in the wall. Meredith focused on the book in front of her, reading the words with care.

"You could just open the windows, you know. Probably better than a candle."

The voice came from the woman in the middle of the dark sheets. She turned around in the bed, fully exposing her body. Meredith's reply came with a smirk.

"Sorry, sweetie. But I'm not a big fan of the sun."

"What are you researching,anyway?"

"I'm looking for ways to awake an ancient evil that will cover this entire realm in darkness."

The woman laughed now,an adorable giggling sound.

"I'm being serious, love. What are you looking for?"

"Cooking recipes."

Meredith closed her book and returned to the bed, pulling the string that had been wrapped around her hair. Meredith's hair was long, dark and soft. The prostitutes seemed to love it.

"Maybe it's time for a little break. Let's have some fun."

After helping the man under the bookshelf, Mas sent them to report to the king.

"Where are you going sir?" One of the guards asked.

He gives a slight smile to the man, the first one any of the guards have seen from him yet. "Why I'm going hunting" With these words he leaves the room and walks around to where the intruder would have landed outside. He starts to smile unconsciously while he begins to track him. "It has been too long since it was difficult for me to track someone." He mumbled to himself

Finding herself on top of another building again, Naomi searched for any activity that may have piqued her interest. She saw that where was a wagon surrounded by strange people. Is there something valuble in there? she thought, thinking of the possibilities.

While scanning the area to devise a plan to take what was inside it, she thought she saw a figure moving by a tree. "You've gotta be kidding me..." she murmured to herself. She didn't want to be beat to the prize by some lowly piece of scum. She decided to watch this figure to learn it's motives, whatever they were. However, she wasn't going to sit idly if it began to act.

She crouched down on the roof and stared intently at the situation.

Thagnarok, the Grandmaster

Skirts of Aikido

Another disguised hound came to Thagnarok. The hound reported that the manuscript had already been retrieved by one of the members. Not realizing the spying girl on them, the two puppies took on their true form and Thagnarok sent them into the castle to cause a bit of ruckus to slow down any possible trackers.

Still in his human villager form, Thagnarok began to stroll back to town.

I rolled the scroll into my clothing and placed my weapons in the carriage retrieving my swords. I dusted of my clothes, Leo looked like any high, pristine noble walking through the streets of Aikido. Watching all of the commoners go through their daily lifes he finds one not like the others. "Oh... It's him~" I wear a devilish smile as I walk in the same direction as him, following where he is going not trying to cove up the fact that he is being followed, 'Returning the manuscript can wait, lets have some fun...'

As she looked on, Naomi found that there was a small puppy with the mysterious figure, whom she identified as an average-looking citizen. Another puppy appeared, and she suddenly found that the two had become monstrous beings. She subconsciously reached for one of her throwing knives as she blinked rapidly, thinking she might have been dreaming.

She saw the monsters and the man, who she assumed was their master, disperse from the tree. Still baffled, she took her hand off her knives and sat herself down, trying to figure out what all of it meant. She pinched herself. She wasn't dreaming, and surely, that was no ordinary man if he controlled creatures that were so demonic-looking.

Should I chase after him? Should I keep my eyes on this wagon? Naomi weighed the pros and cons of both sides of her curiosity. That man... she thought. What power... What money he must have! Being able to do something like that...

She made up her mind. She was going to follow the man, and she would find a way to get money out of him. She snuck her way off the rooftop and blended herself in with the crowd, keeping her eye on her target and walking a distance behind.

Thagnarok, the Grandmaster

Lorthington

Thagnarok finally reached the human house. The two villagers were still unconscious. Realizing no other duties in this region, he turned into his true form. His gold and dark armor and dark colored robes replaced his tattered human clothings. Replacing his face was his crown helm and his legs disappeared and it seemed as if he was levitating. His height spanned to twice an average human and his hands turned to spirit like. He prepared to teleport back to Death's Gate.

"Jake huh? That's a normal name for someone who obviously isn't human," she snickered as she hopped on the side of the cart, hanging by a tiny piece of wood and still keeping her distance. "My name? My clients call me Castle so I guess you can call me that too." She pulled her hood off her face.

@Jack of Cloves

I watch your hood fall off and reveal your hair, "Heh, I guess your right" I chuckle, "But that's what makes it really abnormal you know?" I look down smiling when turn to you. Moving up front I tuck my wings in and watch the scenery as we pass by, "I wonder if she knows?"

Castle laughed at his comment but couldn't help but agree, "The world truly is interesting isn't it? It's a story book filled with different characters that add color to the plot." She managed hide her ears as she rode beside him. "If you don't mind me asking but what are you. You're not human."

I turn towards you, with a glint of surprise in my eyes. "Oh." I look forwards, "Usually people don't ask me that, they think it's 'rude'" I lean my head on the palm of my hand, "I'm a harpy" I look at your hair seeing a clump of it out of place and I try to pat it down, then it twitched which make my hand quickly draw back.

"Wh-Oh, a neko/lyth" I mused and smiled at you once more.

Castle raised a brow as she tilted her head, "Neko? You mean Elf right?" she snickered at his remark before acknowledging his own species. "Harpy huh? Your species is really rare. You guys endangered or something? No offense though, I probably should have added that disclaimer earlier." She rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly.

Mas tracks the man until he loses the trail n a crowd of people. "He could already be halfway to Death's Gate by now." He thought to himself. He is about to put his bow up when he notices someone walking towards him. He looks like a noble with two swords but his eyes, there was more blood lust in them than a starving wolves. @Jack of Cloves

- Meredith: Back to Death's Gate -

Meredith

entered the mountain with confidence, carrying the book along with her. The pages showed some kind of ritual she couldn't fully understand, but obviously involved some kind of sacrifice of the blood of innocents. Fun stuff.

She had been hoping to be able to show it to Thagnarok, but she couldn't simply approach her master. The mas was used to summoning people, not to be summoned. As usually, she would be patient.

She had been waiting for 200 years, after all.

Naomi followed the mysterious man until he reached a house, which she assumed was his. She watched him go inside, and she sneaked around the back to keep from looking too suspicious to those who walked by.

She found a that all the windows were closed and decided that it would be a waste of time to find a way to peer into the house first. "Time to get reckless," she muttered to herself and smirked.

She kicked a window in and hopped into the house with the intention of blinding whoever might see her when she got in. Once she realized that there was an enormous being in the room, she was paralyzed with fear.

What is this thing!? she thought, doing her best to keep her composure. The air suddenly seemed thin, and her heart sank. Her hand still gave off a shadowy aura from when she was about to use magic to bind her target's limbs, but she was too afraid to stifle him now. She stood up from the position she had landed in when she entered the room, trying to at least keep her best poker face. It was hard for her to maintain her normal attitude at this point.

Nacthjaeger was sitting on a large rock. The girl was waiting on her father, Thagnarok, who had left to fulfil some selfgiven mission. Nachtjaeger had wanted to join him, but he said she couldn´t. Though that made her a bit mad, she fully trusted her father. Sitting on that rock at Death´s Gate, Nachtjaeger boredly threw some small stones at nothing particular.

@MrPotato

(Probably @KaalysBR , if you wanna interact with Nachtjaeger.)

Meredith walked around the cave with some calmness, mostly ignoring the other members from the Dark Legion. But when she noticed the young lady, daughter of Thagnarok, her curiosity took the best of her. Approaching the lady, she bowed with a smirk.

"Hello,Nacthjaeger. How are you today?"

Nachtjaeger turned to the woman speaking to her. "Good day. Fine, mostly. Bored, to be honest. I am waiting for father to return. What about you?", she asked. Nachtjaeger had nor reason to be pissed or anything, therefore she was polite and nice.

Meredith seemed amused as she sat by the girl's side. She pushed her hair away from her face and placed the book in front of the girl.

"I've been waiting for your father as well. But you are his daughter,so this should be fun. This book shows invocations and rituals that might help with calling the Ultimate Terror back. It involves death and blood. I found it lovely."

Leo

He smiles as he walks up to you, his intentions were clear that wanted to talk but what the man wanted to talk about was a mystery. "Hello there~" The man said with a purr, his hair flew with the light draft something that the ranger didn't show was his hair. Or face to say but there was a distinguishing similarity between the two, just by the way he acted.

"Oh, no need to apologize." I laugh awkwardly and run my fingers through my hair a few times before responding to you, "Um, a rare species is one way to look at it. Most harpies don't show themselves, they either "live" in the sky or hide their wings from others" Looking over to you I say the last part very jokingly, "We're wanted for our wings but, what most don't know is that they don't do much." I lied right through my teeth, 'I've been lying so much today, I'm surprised my teeth didn't rot out yet'

I look back onto the rode, and waited for your response ((@FadeAway

As the man approaches, Mas puts his his bow and his back and greets the man back. "Hello" He is used to hunting animals so he decided a different strategy as the man walked up to him. He stood without a weapon in his hand but stood ready to draw a hidden blade at any moment.

Leo

The man stood in front of him and smiled, "Hello Mr. Hunter" He did a closed eyed smile and waved, "Would you like to join me for tea? It's my treat" The man gestured to a near by out door area, "If you're not into tea, they have a fine selection of alcohol. I'm sure they'll be to your liking."
