Realistic or Modern The West Family

She smiled and eagerly nodded. She took off her shirt and shorts revealing a simple navy blue bikini. Jess folded them neatly and left them under her notebook. "You promise not to laugh if I'm really bad?" She said with a smile

"This is your first time surfing, it's hard to be anything other than bad." he said. "The waves are looking pretty small right now, so it won't be too hard, but really concentrate on balance." He handed her a surfboard and picked up his. "C'mon, let's go. The first step is paddling out a good distance into the water before standing up." Chance laid himself onto his stomach on top of his surf board and waited for Jessica to do the same.

"Another daiquiri please." Ava added to her order. "So, what's your story? Do you have a job?" she asked, curious.

"Well I have no job at the moment cause I just moved here with my family but let's not talk about me I'm more interested in the pretty lady known as Ava"

She carried the surfboard and it was a little heavier than she thought. Jess followed him out to the water and laid down on her stomach, copying what Chance did. "Do you surf often?" she asked him trying to make conversation as they paddled.

"Yeah, at least I did back where I used to live. I just moved here. My first day in this town, actually." he told her. He paddled slower than usual so that it wouldn't be too tiring for Jessica.

"Hmm surprise me I'm all ears after all I bet your a bit more interesting then a simple man like me"

Jess tried keeping up with him and was happy when he slowed down a bit. She laughed a little "I'm clearly not in shape." she said slightly out of breath. "Well welcome to this town." she said with a smile "You were probably wanting something a little more exciting than this, huh?"

"Well.." Ava thought for a moment before continuing. "I'm a part-time lifeguard here at this beach, and I've lived here my entire life. I'm currently a junior in high school and...I guess that's all that's special about me."

Chance thought about her comment about wanting something exciting. "My family's plenty exciting. I actually could really use a toned down life, you know?" Before she could reply Chance turned towards the waves. "Alright, when we get a few inches away from that wave, you're gonna carefully push yourself up with your arms and stand up, try to keep your balance, but don't worry if you wipe out, I do it all the time, it's actually kind of fun."

Jess went to reply but he began instructing her how to surf. She was sort of nervous just going with it, she wasn't much of a risk taker and as the wave got closer she got more nervous. Jess waited for the wave and pushed herself up, she probably wasn't on the wave for more than 10 seconds before she fell off. She let out a slight yell and fell into the water. Jess resurfaced, slightly embarrassed, she was a lot worse than she thought she was going to be.

"Hmm a lifeguard maybe you maybe.....just maybe might save my life one day. But only time will tell" brushes Ava hair to the side

Instead of staying on the wave, Chance dove into the water, letting himself wipe out. "You okay?" he said, swimming over to her. "You did pretty good for the first try."

Jess watched him swim towards her, she smiled and nodded "I'm okay, and you're right. It's kind of fun wiping out." she said swimming towards the shore. She got a bit of a head start "race ya!" she called back to him and started swimming towards the shore as fast as she could.

Ava smiled softly as he brushed her hair to the side. "You're cute, you know that?"

Chance tried to hold back his powers and let her win, but he wasn't able to resist the temptation. He swam like a bullet to shore then sat on the sand, waiting for her to catch up. Cheating wasn't right, but it sure was fun. "I win." he said, laughing.

"heh that right there is no secret" pulling Ava closer kissing her right when the bar tender brings us our drinks

Jess looked to her side and saw him speed past her. when she finally reached the shore out of breath she sat down on the sand next to him, "wow, you're a fast swimmer." she said as she laid back on the sand. Jess placed her hands behind her head and looked up at the clouds. "So are you starting school tomorrow?" she asked curiously.

Ava kissed him back and ran her fingers through his hair. "Oh, thank you." she said as the drinks came. "And thank you." she said to Tyler. "You're cute and a good kisser. Only lookin' better and better to me."

Chance joined her and laid down, feeling the sand press against his skin. "Yeah, I guess I am. I'm not really looking forward to it, though. At least you'll be there." he said, giving her hand a slight touch.

"You wouldn't even be able to handle the mass amount of things that I'll do to you" pulling Ava onto my lap kissing her more " and maybe I'll get to learn more about you"

Ava laughed and let her head rest on his shoulder. She took a sip of her daiquiri and set it down on the bar. "Is that so?" she said with a sly tone.

Jess flinched slightly at his touch "oh um, yeah." she said softly, blushing slightly. "You probably won't see much of me. I've got this knack of being invisible and pretending I don't exist. It helps with avoiding the popular kids and the jocks. They don't like drama kids very much." She said quietly. She looks over at him "If you ever need to find me try the auditorium, specifically backstage. That's where I belong." she said giving him a smile.

"Well, it'll be good to know where to find you." He internalized her comment about popular kids and jocks. "Not all jocks are that bad, you know. I'm considered one, and I like you, so I guess that means there's one jock that likes drama kids, huh?"

"Oh yes very much so" sips her daiquiri "so what would you like to do now dance, swim, party" winking as he says party

Jess looked over at him "Well you're an exception. You don't happen to want to trade your life of sports and manliness for a life of stage and costumes do you?" she asked with a slight grin, knowing he wouldn't. "It's alright if I got to be popular for a day I probably wouldn't trade it to go back to my life of stage blocking and props either." Jess was enjoying talking to him, "you should come see the show" she said eagerly. "I mean you won't see me, but all the props on stage are indirectly me I guess" she smiled a little. "Hmm, partying sounds pretty fun." she giggled. "There's a big bonfire tonight. Everyone who's anyone is gonna be there. Lots of games, drink, and usually really good DJ's. Please come. It's gonna be right here in a few hours."
