Em tapped her fingers on the desk she'd been given quite nervously as Murc would usually be back by now. There would be guards outside her door, no doubt, so exploring the castle was off limits. The room itself was nicely furnished in an impersonal way, as if anyone could stay there and call it home, but remain apart from the feel of the room as there was nothing to suggest a unique flair.- and where the heck was her friend? A tumbling noise quickly followed by a light crash jolted the mage from her thoughts and she turned around with a smile to see the lizard scamper toward her toting her worn leather supply bag. Scooping up the greenish lizard into a hug, she released a low purr-like noise. "Good job, my little friend."
She set the excited creature and went to her bag, pressing the flaps open to see its contents. He brought her quills, brush, the ink to go with them, blank notebooks, filled notebooks, and of course her spell scrolls. In a pocket to the side of the bag also rested a change of clothes and a half-dozen spare aura pendants. Em took the broken crystal off its chain and slid on a milky white one set in silver. Upon clasping it, at once she felt her aura squeeze and fight against the cap. Only a small bit ebbed out, just the amount to come off as a less-than-powerful mage. With Murc in the corner playing with puffs of steam, she took her quill and notebooks and set down to writing and studying.
