Fantasy The War (Players Needed)

Galandor calmly placed her on the ground. "Calm down, Tina." He gently placed a warm hand on her head, stroking lightly. "First, you're not in trouble. Second, I didn't make you do anything, just taught you how to. You can do it every time you want. If you want to tag along, be my guest." Returning to Elsbeth, he pointed at Tina. "She's Tina, foster child of Bellatrix, and a little spy. Don't worry, though, she's not going to do any harm to us. Now, there's a courtyard that way. Maybe we can spar, let me see your abilities, maybe teach you a thing or two. Does that sound like fun?" He turned to Tina. "Would you like to watch us train?"
@Pandorian
Tina happily nodded. That man was one of the nicest she had ever met. Probably nicer than Aermik even... She felt strange all of a sudden, but not bad. Her stomach was feeling somewhat... lively. Tina shrugged it off. She might be hungry or something with those sweets was wrong.

Tina grabbed Galandors hand. "That alliance of you will stay right? There will be peace, right? I won't need to one day aim my crossbow at you, will I?", the little spy concernedly asked. War was something she feared eternally. Just as the light kingdom. The light kingdom never had done bad to her, but Tina disliked light at all. She could see at night just as good and if light was too bright, she would be blinded and be hurt strongly.

Zelarous winced as the root pulled tighter, holding him in place and beginning to cause pain. He felt the slap hit his face, he was not expecting it. He kept his head to the side for a few moments. The pain was very minor compared to what he had been through in the pits, but for some reason it angered him. He refused to show it. He felt his legs release and stood up. Did he believe in his own words? Had he not fought hard enough? Did he need to devour more souls? He did not know. Perhaps he just picked the course of action that he believed would be most useful for his survival. Being walked like a freshly bought slave, he felt his pride diminishing. The great gates opened and he was soon brought to the prison. It was dark and damp, his cell no different. H looked through the bars at the queen "What are you going to do, now that you have caught the great 'traitor' of the kingdom of darkness?" he used the word traitor sarcastically.

@sprouhtt

Thalia faced him as he went into the cell. Thalia smiled and she moved towards him touching his shoulder and pinned him against the wall, Thalia leaned into his ear and with a cold tone she said,"The decision is still to be decided, but for now you are to stay here. If I hear you have escaped--" Thalia stopped herself from finishing her sentence and she backed away from him with a mischievous smile on her face and walked out of the cell that he was in. She looked at him from behind the bar as the guards locked up the cell and she was handed the key to the cell. Thalia walked upstairs in front of the guards. @Zelarous

Zelarous did not resist when he was pinned against the wall. After all what could he do in the heart of a kingdom. Try to kill everyone in the castle? Impossible for any one person. Try to burn it down with him inside? There were no good options, so he simply looked away from her. She leaned into him with something that sounded like a threat. He watched as she walked out of the cell and waited until she was out of sight. He kicked the stone wall out of frustration and sat down on a cold bench in the cell. "One day and you got yourself captured." he chuckled at his own idiocy.

Avelyn was expecting it as soon as her hand came back. She allowed herself to be taken out of the trees, but she latched to another and jumped out of it, landing on her feet swiftly. Her hood shadowed her face once more, her identity therefore hidden. She stayed silent, a cold, tiny smirk on her lips as Thalia turned her back to her. Avelyn watched the scene unfold, with a dark silence. She watched Thalia walk away. Oblivious to her presence. The burned guard was quite behind and before he walked back into the kingdom Avelyn slit his throat swiftly and silently, As nobody was looking considering Thalia was dealing with the man.

Avelyn dragged the corpse up the tree, and using the thick branches and vines, she hung him by the feet off the tree. She then placed a large black Raven feather in between the bonds that hung his feet. He was 10 off the ground, and his slit throat dropped blood. An ugly scene. Avelyn was gone and out of sight completely, before anyone noticed.

There was her message to the plant kingdom. If she couldn't get harm the inside of it. She'd harm the outside.

After a quick fly around and more than a dozen spells, the fires of the throne room were burned down and she'd managed to snuff out the vast majority save a few embers burning on stray leaves. After her work, Em remained perched above the throne room, black feathers sleek and giving off small ebbs of magic leaking from maintaining her form. She narrowed her eyes slightly as she watched the queen re-approach from the dungeons, her flaming rival disappeared. Ruffling her feathers slightly to reveal a small bluish pendant nestled on a chain underneath, Em tapped her beak to it once and a small shock-wave pooled out, in its wake leaving the mage in her human form, cloaked and perched.

Thalia heard him quicking and bickering off and she simply ignored him. Thalia didn't pay any attention to him, as she walked upstairs. Thalia walked into her bathroom about to shower and get rid of the discusting dirt from her when a maid interrupted her and told her that it was ergent.

Thalia still had her clothes on, she didn't even get time to bathe. "What is it now," Thalia muttered. Thalia was handed off to a guard who guided her to the scene. Thalia gasped and grew in anger, she didn't show it or expose it. She kept it in to unleash it on whoever did this. She knew it couldn't have been from Zelarous, she was with him the whole time. Thalia felt a pain inside her, she was just about done with all of this foolishness and knew who did the act. It was the girl who was up in the trees. Thalia ordered her men to keep a look out. The kingdom was on high alert. Thalia watched as the men brought down the body and she had chills going throughout her body, why would someone do this? She thought. This meant war and Thalia would make that girl pay. Later that night Thalia had a send off of the guard who died. Flowers were arranged beautifully in a small boat along side him and she watched as the boat went down the river. Soldiers lined up in a straight line to pay their respects. Thalia shot out an arrow that was on flames towards the dead body, and she watched as the boat caught on fire and the soul from the body was lifted up into the sky, joining the stars above. Thalia had the feather which was attached to him in her hands and she walked back to the castle. Thalia put the feather on her desk and she walked into the bathing room and took a bath. When she came out she was in her armor and her weapons along side her. Thalia sat down at her desk and looked at the feather as the servants braided her hair. When they finished they left the room and closed the door behind her. "You are going to pay," Thalia said to herself as she looked down at the feather.

The little spy had brought Elsbeth's heart quite a surprise. "I guess I'm not accustomed to spies...", she admitted. She surveyed the girl a little before coming to any conclusions. Galandor seems to have made quite the impression on the girl, from the looks of it. Certainly a lot better with those younger than Elsbeth was. "M-magical things...? I would say I never thought of you as a teacher, but you're offering to spar with me, so I'm probably going to have plenty to learn. Note though, I can say right now this will be interesting, alright...". Pondering on the new acquaintance, she felt a little awkward in Tina's presence. Maybe Elsbeth was just trying to stop herself from saying the wrong thing, or trying to say stuff right. "I... I guess I'll have to put a show on for Tina, then... y-yeah...". Or... it was that she just wasn't really used to being around kids. Damn. Maybe being in the dunes for so long has really made her weaker. At this point, she couldn't tell.

"Follow me, then. You too, Elsbeth." Holding Tina's hand, the trio walked to the courtyard. "Yes, Tina. The alliance will stay. I hope that you won't need to aim a crossbow at nobody." When they arrived, Galandor sat Tina in a bench, then stood a few feet from Elsbeth. He then grabbed one of his blades, Ember, and poised himself in a basic battle stance. "Okay Elsbeth, first of all, I need to see you in battle. Now, attack. I won't retaliate, I just need to see you fighting." The talk of war didn't let him train for a whole month. In the outside he was calm and collected, but in the inside, he missed the thrill of the fight.

Eventually Em came down from her perch and by way of monitoring which servants were going where (for instance kitchen maids generally went downstairs while those dressed in finer clothing went upstairs to the more well-aired rooms) found her way to the hallway where the queen's quarters laid. Under a veil of magic making her appear as one of the countless handmaidens, none of the guards questioned her. With her cloak folded to appear as a towel and Murc hidden beneath the folds of it, Em raised a tattooed hand to knock on the queen's door.

@sprouhtt

"Come in," Thalia said as she put the feather in a draw and closed it. Thalia leaned back in her chair as the cool breeze came from the balcony into the room. Thalia really couldn't hear anymore bad news or she would blow a top. Thalia let out a sigh of frustration and wondered how her brother was doing. @Moolock

Em smirked slightly and waved the veil away, swinging her cloak and clasping it over her shoulders in one fluid motion as she nudged the door open and entered. Without a word between them, Murc scampered up her dress and onto her runed shoulder guards. "So this is the mysterious queen of whom I've heard so much. It's a pleasure, Lady Thalia."

"Yes, who might you be?" Thalia spoke out as she stared at the girl, she had never seen her before. "You came into my kingdom uninvited at a time like this, why?" Thalia asked her as she raised an eyebrow and saw the guards standing near the door. Thalia waited patiently to hear what the girl had to say, she was quite beautiful but looks could be deceiving. Thalia was extra cautious of the girls actions. @Moolock

"Oh, no one but a humble mage of the north. The few who know me refer to me as Crow. I did attempt waiting and did dare doze off until that fire mage's attacks awoke me. I am not here to cross you with malicious intent." She cast a small glowing orb light blue like the spells her friend would play with, purposely only using a fraction of her power, enough that she could cast it asleep. The orb did, however, take one's attention off her surging aura trapped by the bounds of her equipment. "Besides, even if I carried such intent, given by your display of power I doubt my strongest spell such as this would not even rustle your fair hair." Em gave a sweeping bow, cloak billowing out to reveal a myriad of pendants, one of which glowed brightly, her tattoos, and other magical knickknacks nestled among daggers. "War brews, my lady, and I come to you with the hopes of becoming a loyal warrior on your battlefield." Murc gave his best lizard grin as an offer of reassurance but it would come off as an odd attempt at showing his teeth.

Aermik si

As Bellatrix made her way to where Aermik stood, she began to contemplate whether or not it was time to put up the old barrier. "Aermik..I believe it's that time again.." She said softly without ever turning to face him. She had to put it up, just like before when Demitir was around. It was the only way to ensure the safety of her people and kingdom. So with careful and practiced hands, Bellatrix began the spell. Her grimoire turning to the very last page and floating as she recited the ancient words. Within a few minutes shadows would begin to move toward the boarder of her kingdom and piles up until they made a barrier around and on top of her entire nation. After that Hellfire and Black flames would then form two separate rings around this. No one would get in or out without asking her, and that was for sure. If anyone tried to get in..they would certainly feel the wrath of the Lich Queen, Bellatrix. This barrier was ancient magic, and even Aermik had only ever seen her do this spell once before. After it was done however, Bellatrix feel to her knees, tired and with a headache once more. "It is done.."
@Airagog
Aermik nodded, catching her, holding her up. "Come now. Let's get you to sleep. It's been a long day and you need your rest." He sighed helping her walk along the halls, looking at her as he moved. "It seems you and the fire king are getting along swimmingly. Are you taken with him?"

"What do you have to offer to my kingdom and I if I let you become a warrior?" Thalia spoke out as she crossed her leg and watched as the girl showed of some of her powers to her. It was impressive but that wasn't going to win Thalia over. Thalia needed reasons on why she should let her join in, Thalia had to be cautious of who was coming to her nowadays because now her kingdom is everything to her, it was before and it still is.

"One less enemy on this field, for a start, dear lady. Secondly, I ask for but a place in your court should the conclusion fall in your favor... and perhaps some insight into how your are so immensely powerful." She closed her palm and the orb evaporated in favor of her eyes beginning to give off the bluish glow of the arcane realm of magic. "I bring no harm to the creatures under your wing. My quest is one away from the solitude that this land has locked me into. I believe it is time to shake the board but with not a coin nor kingdom to my name, such goals cannot be attained alone." Em raised, leveling her gaze with the queen, a faint smile still playing on her lips. Ambition drove her on but not to become a ruler... no, shadows are much more powerful when one knows how to wait within them. She held patience between her palms and the shadows of politics and battles were her true stead, not that fort harbored by solely snow and wind.

Thalia stood up and she walked around her looking at her body language,"If you are to cross me at a time like this or anytime I will make you pay." Thalia said coldly hoping the girl had gotten her message. "Guards direct her to a sleeping chamber," Thalia said as she guards walked towards the girl to guide her to a place to sleep. Thalia was going to keep a close eye on the girl since she just showed up out of the blue without an invitation into the kingdom. @Moolock

[QUOTE="Queen of Fantasy]

Long ago, in a land where many beings exist, there is a war. In this war, there are multiple kingdoms. These kingdoms are allied with elements, and the leaders of these kingdoms are at war. For a large amount of land, that no one has ever claimed sits waiting to be. All of the kingdoms want it, for the population in each kingdom grows. There are allies, and there are foes but neither of them agree to share... For there is war.

For information of the kingdoms, please check out the overview. Rules will also be listed there. Please stick to this lore, and do not create your own kingdom. THANK YOU.

Hey is there a character sheet for this?

Em smiled graciously. "I'd expect nothing less, my lady." She tapped Murc on the head to draw his attention from the queen and followed the guards to her room. They stopped and opened the door for her with distrusting stares, also as she would expect. The mage flashed them each a smile and stepped inside, taking off her cloak as the wariness of travel and days without sleep came crashing down. Resting her cloak on a hanger, she began unlacing her tight hardened leather corset, taking a deep breath. Her dress remained underneath, fitted and showing her form but now with breathing room. Murc hopped off her shoulder as she moved to completely de-armor and rest the leather and metal wears beneath her cloak. "There's the first part out of the way. We have a sliver of trust to work with, now."

She reached up and unclasped the brightly glowing blue crystal for a moment and a wave of power flowed off her, pent up magic she'd been forced to conceal on her flight since she left her nest. As the tension left her, Em began thinking aloud, every so often glancing at Murc for a nod of approval. "The queen has a bitterness against whoever set the feather on the guard. We must be careful of this for crows and ravens are often mistaken. Murc, I have a job for you." Em cast a downward glance at the pendant, which had stopped glowing but was showing the first signs of cracking. "I require a new one of these, and soon. The tattoos won't hold much longer either, so I'll need my ink." She cursed in her home tongue for not bringing these sort of things with her. She didn't think her sheer power would break the pendant damming it back. "You can accomplish that, correct? And whatever you do, remember black ink, blue pendant. Blue inked runes are notches weaker and if you bring me a black pendant... well you remember what happened last time." The lizard nodded knowingly and hopped up to the window after taking a moment to memorize her list. With a salute of his tail, her friend disappeared leaving Em to fall back on the bed and drift into a light sleep.

Ryan walked out of the kitchen with his belly full and fully awaken. He begined to walk around the castle again. As he wondered, he entered a room with a piano in it. Ryan looked over the piano and sat down in front of it. He looked at the keys and touched it with one of his fingers. A beautiful high pitched noise ranged out. Ryan has never played on the piano. He touched another key and a low sound ranged out from the piano. Ryan slowly begined to touch various of keys listening to the sounds it conducted. One note at a time.

Bellatrix walked around with Aermik, leaning heavily on him. It had been quite the time since she'd used that particular spell. "I'd love to get some rest..but I must inform Galandor of the barrier and place on him the seal that allows him to pass through it all freely. Then I must send word to Thalia about talking. She did say she had business with me.." She said directly avoiding the question about whether or not she was taken with him. As they walked along the halls though, Bellatrix heard the piano being pecked at. "Who..?" She wondered aloud.

Aermik shook his head holding her up. "I've already sent word to Thalia and I'll give Galandor the seal." He said leading her to the stairs so she can retire to her room. "Also. You should know better than to try to dodge the question. If my determination can conquer even death then it can get an answer to a question I wish to know." He said smiling.
