Fandom The Untold Stories of Hogwarts - 1x1 HP RP

The next present was a simple new teddy bear. When Logan had opened the box, he took the stuffed animal out and smiled, hugging it tightly to his chest. “Teddy!” he said, delighted. Aaron grinned seeing how happy his young son was. “That’s right! And you’ve got one more,” said his papa as he brought over the last present. Logan continued to hug his new teddy bear closely to his chest. “Ok well I’ll open the next one for you,” said Aaron with a chuckle, seeing that his baby son was preoccupied with the new toy he had received. It was adorable and Aaron didn’t mind the cuteness at all as he started to open Logan’s last present.

Xavier looked over to see Logan hugging the teddy bear and smiled. He turned back to Rose as she tore the paper off the last present. This one was a stuffed animal too, but he'd gotten Rose a cat instead of a bear. She opened the present and smiled as she pulled out the stuffed cat. "Cat!" She said, holding the cat to her chest. She was just as excited as Logan with the stuffed animal. "Yes angel, cat" He said, taking all the paper and stuff and moving it out of the way so Rose could play with her cube, cat and ball.

Aaron grinned excitedly as he opened this next present, almost as if he was a kid opening a present that was for him. From the box, out he pulled was a small toy broomstick, just small enough to be of size for Logan, who was only a small baby boy. Logan continued to hold his teddy bear close to him but curiously peered over at his papa and the item he had pulled out of the box. He didn’t know what it was but he saw Aaron smiling. “I’ve got you your very own broom Logan! So you can start practicing flying like papa!” Aaron joked with a laugh. The broomstick was only a toy and a replica, so it couldn’t actually fly. But this was Aaron’s way of doing what he hoped was planting a little seed into Logan’s head early while he was young to perhaps get him into broom flying and eventually, Quidditch.

Xavier looked over at Aaron with a laugh. "Really? A toy broomstick? So now you want Logan to play Quidditch instead of Rose?" He asked with a laugh. He shook his head at his husband. He had a feeling that he would definitely try to get at least one of their kids into Quidditch. "Aaron, I know we really weren't planning on getting each other stuff, but I uh.. I made you a present" Xavier said softly, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. He was starting to think it was a bad idea to make the blanket since he didn't want Aaron to feel bad or anything. He just loved making things especially for Aaron and he planned on making stuff for the kids as they got older, scarves, mittens, and he'd even gotten the outline for hats, hence the scarves he'd made Aaron when they were still in school and when Aaron joined the Magpies.

“I want both really! But maybe Logan since you don’t seem to want Rose getting involved with that,” laughed Aaron in response to Xavier’s reaction to his last present to the baby boy. Aaron chuckled to himself as he set down the toy broom on the floor. Logan didn’t seem interested in it at all and instead was infatuated with the new stuffed bear he had received. Aaron then looked over at Xavier and raised an eyebrow. “Oh Xaie! C’mon babe! We said no presents, you didn’t have to,” he whined, but still finding it sweet that his husband had made him something. “Ok, let’s see it,” said Aaron with a soft smile.

He laughed, hearing that and smiled. He did see that Logan was way more interested in the stuffed bear. "I didn't say that, I just said she's probably not a chaser" He said with a shake of his head. Xavier ducked his head with a blush at Aaron's words. "I know, I know" He said softly, standing up and walking over to the tree to grab the box with the blanket inside. He went over and set down in front of Aaron. He'd spent a lot of time on that golden blanket, the red for the accents was the hardest to find but the black letter with their names and wedding date along with Rose and Logan's name and their adoption date was the best part of the whole thing. "I hope you like it" He said.

Aaron intently watched Xavier as he got up to go fetch a box behind the tree. He then presented him the box and Aaron smiled softly as he began to open it. “I’m sure I will, like always,” he replied. Inside was a beautifully knit blanket. Aaron took it out and unfolded it so that he could see it in all of its glory. His eyes widened when he saw what had been embroidered on it. His and Xavier’s name and their wedding date as well as Rose and Logan’s names and the date that they had adopted the two children. Aaron’s heart swelled with joy. “Oh Xaie! Baby I love it! It’s so perfect! Just like our little family!” Aaron said, his heart full and his grin wide.

Xavier smiled as he watched Aaron look at the blanket. He was so happy that Aaron loved it. "I'm glad you love it. I just couldn't help myself" He said with a blush on his face. "Our perfect little family" He said happily, looking between Aaron, Rose and Logan. His heart was full as he looked at his family. He still couldn't believe how lucky he was.

“This has got to be one of your best works, love. It’s brilliant,” said Aaron sweetly, still smiling. He knew the kids wouldn’t understand the significance of this blanket at their age now but one day they’d grow up and hopefully find a very special place in their heart for it. For now though, Logan was too happy hugging his little toy bear.

Xavier smiled. "Thank you love. It took a while to make it trying to do it without anyone seeing it" He said with a laugh. He knew the babies wouldn't understand the blanket now, but when they got older he was sure they'd love it too. He looked at Logan hugging his teddy bear and Rose playing with her pink ball, rolling it all around.

“Well, the other presents seem to be a hit,” laughed Aaron, “So far so good. A successful Christmas,” he said. “Merry Christmas you two!” Aaron called over to his two children. Logan was too busy smiling as he made his teddy bear do a little dance.

Xavier nodded. "Yes they do. A very successful Christmas" He agreed. Xavier looked at their kids and smiled. Rose looked over at her papa when he spoke, clapped her hands and returned her attention to her ball. "Yes, Merry Christmas you two" Xavier repeated softer as he looked at them.

Aaron chuckled as he saw Rose acknowledge him, smiling at her little clapping. “Well at least one of ‘em is paying attention,” he said. “She’s like her daddy- always attentive.”

Xavier chuckled himself as he looked over at Aaron. "Yeah, and he's just like his papa. Not paying attention" Xavier said with a laugh. It was fascinating to him seeing the differences between the two children as they get older.

Aaron laughed and rolled his eyes at that comment from Xavier. “Ok enough outta you,” he said, gently pushing Xavier aside. Both twins were so similar yet so different. The children clearly each had their own personalities even though Logan and Rose were so in sync as twin siblings in many ways.

The twin's first Christmas had gone perfectly. It was a beautiful day and the kids had enjoyed their presents, while Xavier had enjoyed watching them open them. Xavier was happy with how things had gone that day. Xavier had made dinner a little later for Aaron and himself, before they fed and changed the babies before putting them to bed that night. Xavier had crashed a little later, happy with his life. The months were passing, some slower than others but passing nonetheless. The twins were maintaining a more regular sleeping schedule as well which Xavier was grateful for, no more midnight crying was a nice thing.

As the twins grew, eventually they stopped getting formula altogether and were on solid foods completely. They were also starting to walk better, and even started running a little. They learned how to climb onto the couch and chairs as well. Xavier was constantly making sure that they weren't getting into any real trouble. He kept an eye on them pretty much all the time unless they were sleeping. By the time June 13th came around, the twins could use utensils and eat by themselves, with some spills of course. He was excited for their second birthday, and had once again gotten decorations for the dining room and two small cakes for them. He'd invited their parents and had a nice turkey in the oven this time for dinner.

Xavier was currently sleeping beside Aaron, the house was silent as the twins and their fathers slept. Xavier was content where he was, as always curled into Aaron's side where he loved to be. It was calming, quiet and peaceful. It wouldn't be for long, but it was for the moment, and he was happy with that. He didn't want to wake up, waiting instead to hear the cries of their kids wanting breakfast.

After Christmas of 2005, the time only seemed to zoom by faster than anyone could’ve imagined. Before they knew it, the twins were growing up right before their eyes. Both babies were learning more and more words and now, Logan and Rose could fully walk and even run around. They now had two very energetic babies that could move around all about the house in their own. Rose and Logan were growing so fast. They were still very small but were certainly bigger than ever before. With that growth also came a more regular sleep schedule. For the two dads, that meant no more waking up at midnight or at an ungodly time at 4am anymore to hearing cries. Rose and Logan would sleep more soundly and didn’t need to be changed or eat or even need attention at such late hours. But, the two were a handful now that they could walk, run, and even climb onto things. Aaron was particularly having to scold Logan for climbing on things he shouldn’t be and putting himself into dangerous positions.

The months whizzed by and now it was June 13th, 2006- the twins’ second birthday. Aaron couldn’t believe that Logan and Rose were turning two years old. The man had loved watching both children grow up but also didn’t want them to go any further, wishing that they could be their little baby angels forever. But, nothing stopped Father Time. While the babies still cried sometimes, it was a lot less. The morning cries continued though, as that was when both babies were hungry and wanted their food. They could now eat solid food so Xavier didn’t have to prepare them formula in a bottle anymore. Aaron was sleeping in that morning with Xavier when he could hear Logan’s little voice whining and calling for “papa” and “daddy” from the nursery. Aaron groaned and rolled over to look at Xavier, opening his eyes. “Feeding time,” he sighed quietly.

Xavier groaned himself, looking at Aaron. He could hear Logan too and then of course Rose was right behind him, calling out for them too. "Yes, I suppose it is" He said with a yawn. Xavier slid off the bed, making his way out the door, heading towards the nursery. He was glad that the kids had a more regular sleep schedule but sometimes he would love to sleep in. He opened the door to see the twins, standing in their cribs and bouncing up and down when they saw their daddy and papa coming in.

“These bloody kids do everything together, eh?” Aaron asked, soon hearing Rose’s voice calling for them, presumably after hearing her brother do so. Aaron got out of bed and followed Xavier to the nursery and entered, going over to Logan’s crib. The little boy was standing in his crib. “Papa! Papa!” he cried as he saw Aaron approaching. “Yes yes I know,” chuckled Aaron as he went to the crib and picked Logan up and took him out of it. His brown hair had grown out and he now had a good head of the soft brown tufts. They complimented his deep chocolate brown eyes perfectly. “Happy birthday fella,” said Aaron. “Food papa! Food! Hungry!” Logan chirped. Aaron laughed and carried Logan out of the nursery room.

Xavier smiled. "Yes they certainly do" He laughed. Xavier walked over to Rose who smiled. "Daddy! Daddy!" She said, raising her arms up for Xavier to pick her up. "Food daddy" She said as he nodded. Rose was starting to grow her beautiful brown hair out, it was a little longer than Logan's. Xavier picked up Rose in his arms and smiled. "Happy Birthday angel" He said, looking at her. "Food" She repeated. "Okay sweetheart, let's go get you breakfast" He said with a laugh, walking out behind Aaron and towards the dining room.

“Wait! Take Teddy!” Logan cried as he made a grabbing motion with his hands over towards his crib. Aaron sighed and walked back to the crib, taking the stuffed bear and giving it to Logan. “Yay! Teddy!” Logan said with a big smile and a giggle as he hugged the toy close to him. He had really taken a liking to that teddy bear that was given to him as a Christmas gift months ago. As they went to the dining room, Aaron looked over at Rose. “Happy birthday princess,” he said to his young daughter with a little smile. “Err- not the dog,” he added with a chuckle.

Xavier had laughed when he heard Logan ask for the teddy bear. It was adorable how much he loved that thing. Xavier set Rose in her high chair and looked over at Aaron with a chuckle, hearing his correction after calling Rose princess. Rose looked over at her papa and smiled at him. Xavier headed into the kitchen to get their breakfast ready. They weren't eating baby food anymore, and they had started feeding them solid normal foods. Breakfast consisted of a 1/4 cup of a fruit and 1/4 of a vegetable along with 1/2 cup of cereal. He grabbed their plates to begin making their breakfast.

Luckily Xavier was great about preparing the babies’ new solid food, and always made sure it was healthy and promoted their growth. Aaron helped serve the kids as Xavier went to make their breakfast. “Here you are birthday kiddos,” said Aaron with a smile as he placed the bowl of fruits and cereal in front of Logan and Rose. Logan held his stuffed bear close to him as he now so often did. The toy accompanied him everywhere these days.

Xavier smiled at Aaron when he took the kids their breakfasts. He started making pancakes for him and Aaron, it just sounded good to him. He mixed the batter and started getting them cooking. Rose clapped her hands when she saw her papa put the food on her tray. She immediately went for the fruits first, shoving them in her mouth happily.

Logan began on his cereal, occasionally taking out scoops with his hand and pretending to feed them to his teddy bear. As Logan did this, a few oats of cereal dropped onto the floor. “Logan, no. Cereal is for you, not Teddy…” said Aaron with a soft sigh. Logan frowned slightly at this. He then moved his bowl of fruits to the side. “Teddy gets fruits!” he giggled, not wanting to eat his fruits and opting to “give them” to his stuff bear friend. “Oi! You better eat those fruits or daddy’s gonna come get ya,” Aaron playfully threatened.
