Fandom The Untold Stories of Hogwarts - 1x1 HP RP

“It’s really not that hard to spell you goof,” giggled Aaron, “Just sound it out,” he said, lightly teasing his boyfriend. “But I couldn’t be happier, I love it. Really,” he said tenderly and genuinely as he looked into Xavier’s brown eyes, his own hazel eyes glimmering with love and passion for the Hufflepuff boy. Aaron kept his new scarf resting on his shoulder. He couldn’t wait to wear it for the rest of the cold winter months. Perhaps he’d even wear it when it wasn’t cold, just because,

He then looked over at the case remaining under the tree. “Alright now it’s your turn to get something,” he said with a grin as he quickly went over to fetch Xavier’s Christmas present. Aaron became sheepish as he handed over the case to Xavier. “I do hope you like it,” he said softly. “It’s certainly not as special as your gift to me but hopefully it brings you some sort of joy,” said Aaron with a small shrug.

Xavier had chuckled. "Blame the dyslexia" He said with a laugh, before watching Aaron walk over to the tree. Xavier was curious as to what was in the case, and took it gently from Aaron. He opened the case, looking inside to see two half heart lockets. One with an X on it and the other with an A. He pulled out the X one and a smile crossed his face. He took out the A one and his smile grew. "Its absolutely beautiful Aaron. You didn't have to do this, but I love it." He said, moving towards Aaron, and he gently put the 'A' locket around his boyfriends neck. He gave Aaron a kiss on his lips, gently while giving him a hug, the other locket secured in his hand. He pulled back a moment later and looked at Aaron. "Could you put mine on?" He asked softly, his eyes catching on Aaron's hazel eyes.

Inside the little case were the two halves of the golden locket. Aaron smiled as Xavier opened it and reacted positively to his present. “I’m glad you like it mate. It’ll symbolize our love and how we complete each other. And now you’ll be mine forever and ever,” he said. His heart fluttered as Xavier went to go give him his own kiss on the lips and a hug. The two then locked eyes and Aaron nodded gladly as Xavier asked if he could put on his locket for him. Aaron took the necklace with the half heart engraved with the X on it and gently put it over Xavier’s head and around his neck. Aaron smiled as he looked at his handsome boyfriend. “There you go. You look good- as always,” he said quietly.

Xavier blushed, hearing Aaron's explanation. "Us against the world" He said with a grin as Aaron put the locket on him. "Thank you. You look good too, especially with that scarf and locket" He said, taking Aaron's hand. "I've got one more surprise for you" Xavier added, leading Aaron over to the wall with the spare blankets and pillows. He sat down first, before inviting Aaron to sit beside him. He was nervous, he'd admit it, he hadn't sung in months. He usually only did it out in the woods were he was alone.

“As always,” he said with a grin and a little giggle. He smiled as Xavier put the necklace on him so that now they were. The wearing the lockers. Aaron was glad that he had been able to make such a special person happy today. His eyebrows then perked up at Xavier as he hinted at yet another surprise for him. Curious, Aaron followed Xavier over to the spot against the wall where Xavier had sat down and set up a few blankets and pillows. The old storage room was really becoming quite a cozy little spot for the two boys to hang out in alone and undisturbed together. Aaron sat down right next to Xavier against the wall and smiled, peering over at his boyfriend with those hazel orbs of his. “Alright what’s this big grand surprise you have up your sleeve Xaie?” Aaron asked with a playful grin.

Xavier swallowed as he looked over at Aaron. Those hazel eyes were drawing him in again. "Its kind of embarrassing so don't laugh, but here goes." He said before he started humming the opening notes. "Blue as the wings of a heron in the night, Like the rising of the tides on the shores of Isle Skye, They gleam evergreen, winds 'a whistling in the pines, Like a castle-crawling vine, like the grassy Glen of Lyon, And rich as the mud after rain upon the ground, They're a whisky hue of brown, braided river running wild, I fell astray, but in you, I have found, That I am ever bound to your hazel eyes, Deep as the sea where the ocean meets the shore, Where I met them once before, on the emerald Cliffs of Moher, Bright as the light setting fire to the north, Rising high beyond the morn, laying shadows on the floor, Long is the day when the moon obscures the sun, 'Tis the darkness they become, till the dawn upon the fjord, I fell astray, but I am bone & blood, And I am bound by love to your hazel eyes, I fell astray, but in you, I have found, That I am ever bound to your hazel eyes" Xavier's voice was fluid and gentle, moving with the notes of the song. His tone was sweet, and gentle. As he finished the song itself, he looked at Aaron with a blush. The song had basically talked about the several different tones, hues and expressions found in hazel eyes, and he saw every single one of these things in Aaron's eyes.

Aaron rolled his eyes and shook his head as he grinned. No matter what, he would never laugh at Xavier in that manner. He listened as his boyfriend began to hum and was then stunned into silence as he started to sing gently. Aaron’s hazel eyes widened slightly to take it all in and his heart began to beat passionately with love for Xavier. He could feel a warmth from within his chest and Xavier’s singing seemed to bring him an inner peace. It was a beautiful song sung by a beautiful joy with a beautiful voice. Aaron found himself blushing bright red at the words “hazel eyes” as he realized exactly why Xavier had picked such a song. There was a certain tenderness and sweetness to Xavier’s voice. It was a side of Xavier that Aaron had never seen before. He’d never heard Xavier sing but there was a first for everything, and he sounded absolutely phenomenal. Xavier had made Aaron feel like the luckiest and most special boy in the world as he sang to him. When it was over, Aaron sat in silence, taking in the lyrics of the song. He was still blushing but still had that feeling of warmth and inner peacefulness. “Wow,” he finally whispered. “That was amazing, Xaie,” he said quietly giving a soft smile to his boyfriend. “Who knew you had a heavenly singing voice?” he asked. Aaron then leaned over and gently put a hand on the back of Xavier’s head as he locked lips with the young man, kissing him passionately and wanting to never let go.

Xavier felt the blush on his own face as he listened to Aaron. He was glad that Aaron had liked the song, it was perfect for his boyfriend. "I don't typically sing, but if you like it, I'll sing for you" He said softly with a brighter blush than before. Xavier didn't think his heart could get anymore full of love for Aaron, but each passing day seemed to prove him wrong. He was the luckiest boy in the world to have such an amazing boyfriend. And he wasn't wrong, he'd sing for Aaron every day if he wanted Xaie too. Xavier had learned how to sing when he was younger out in the woods with the birds and other creatures as his audience. Now he had Aaron to sing to, and he couldn't be happier. Xaie felt the hand on the back of his head and felt Aaron's lips on his. He kissed the boy back just as passionately. He was happier than he'd ever been and if he had it his way, he'd never stop kissing Aaron, not until one of them had to breathe.

Aaron closed his eyes as his lips remained locked with Xavier’s in a passionate kiss. This was certainly the best Christmas ever. It beat all of the Christmas days he had as a little kid with tons of presents and toys under the tree by a mile. All he needed was Xavier- and that he had, right by his side. Eventually Aaron broke the kiss to breath, but opened his eyes and stared lovingly into Xavier’s.

Xavier had never experienced a Christmas like the one he'd had this year. Last year was just as amazing though. The boy had been so nervous when he'd started to sing for Aaron, but it went away quickly. He still remembered how it made him feel when Aaron said his singing voice was heavenly. It had been a pretty quiet start to January. Well, until January 13th 1996, when ten Death Eaters had managed to break out of Azkaban. He'd been thoroughly unsettled by that when he'd heard about it. He stuck close to Aaron after that, he didn't trust that these Death Eaters wouldn't consider attacking Hogwarts. Their first target would be Harry Potter, and then it would go straight for the half bloods and muggle borns before going after the blood traitors like himself. He had never admitted it to Aaron, but when they'd found Jacob that day, he'd felt a bolt of fear upon seeing the word on the wall run down his spine. He had realized what he was considered to these wizards and it scared him.

Xaie wasn't clingy, he wasn't possessive, but he was protective. Aaron was his boyfriend and he would do what he had to. His hands went to the locket on his neck. He hadn't taken it off ever since Aaron had put it on him. The rest of January passed by faster than he cared to admit, but a holiday he'd never celebrated was on the horizon. He'd been coming up with ideas after ideas on what to do that day with Aaron, and finally he'd come up with something that he thought would be perfect. It was February 14th 1996, Valentines day. Their first as a couple, and the first time Xavier had ever celebrated it with someone he held dear to his heart. Xavier stood once more in front of the mirror in the bathroom. He adjusted his robes, fixed his hair or tried, it was hard to get it to do anything other than swoop to the side. He adjusted his scarf, it was still winter after all. He had a red rose in his hand with golden glitter on the tops of its petals. Taking in a deep breath, Xavier nodded to himself.

"Here we go" He said to himself. He left the dormitory, they had no classes today, and walked out into the common room. Several couples were lounging in the area, some kissing and some holding hands and cuddling. He no longer ached for that because he had Aaron now. He smiled to himself as he made his way out of the Hufflepuff common room, straight for the Great Hall where he would meet Aaron. They'd have breakfast first and go from there. He did have a plan to take him to the little cafe in Hogsmeade for lunch though. Entering the Great Hall, he looked around for his light brown haired hazel eyed Gryffindor boyfriend.

The rest of Christmas was rather quiet and Aaron spent his time with Xavier until it was time for bed. December passed with no problem and they soon entered the new year, 1996. For Aaron and Xavier, things were going well but during this particularly frigid January there was some big news in the wizarding world. Lord Voldemort was back in full swing and full strength. In mid January of 1996, ten of his loyal followers called Death Eaters escaped the infamous high security wizard prison, Azkaban. It was worrying news considering these Death Eaters were among the most radical, violent, and dangerous people in the wizarding world and they all truly believed in the sickening ideas of the superiority of pure bloods and the need to eliminate all others. Aaron feared that perhaps they would target Hogwarts. Countless young witches and wizards were here learning magic and many of them were either half bloods or completely muggle born. Of course, there were also pure bloods like Xavier who didn’t buy into the superiority myth and encouraged an equal opportunity world for all witches and wizards no matter the blood status. This made Xavier a prime example of what the Dark Lord and his loyal followers would call “blood traitors.” It was also what Jacob Cromwell had been labeled as and unfortunately, it had gotten him killed.

Aaron thought back to Jacob’s death. It was the only death at the school minus Cedric’s, but what was going to stop Death Eaters or those who thought like them from attacking Hogwarts? If they did it once or twice before, what was to stop them from carrying out more vicious killings in higher numbers? Aaron didn’t even fear for his own life as a half blood- he feared for Xavier’s. To Death Eaters, so-called “blood traitors” were almost as worse if not the same level of inferior as “mud bloods.” Aaron had kept the news of the Death Eaters’ escape and Lord Voldemort gaining more and more power by the day in the back of his kind and tried to focus on his school work and of course, his relationship with his boyfriend. It wasn’t too long until the cold January month passed and it was February.

Today was February 14th, 1996. Every year of his life up until now, February 14th meant nothing at all to Aaron Hoskins. February 14th was Valentine’s Day of course, and now that he had a boyfriend, it was something he celebrated and the day was of importance to him. This would be their first as an official couple and Aaron was a bit nervous as he never had been apart of any Valentine’s Day traditions as he had never really truly dated someone. Luckily there were no classes today so Aaron would be able to spend the whole day with Xavier. Aaron didn’t mind the fact that everyone was extra lovey today, especially if they were dating someone. As he walked out of the common room he had seen a few Gryffindor couples making out with each other on the couch. Aaron went down to the Great Hall for breakfast and to hopefully meet with his boyfriend.

Xavier had settled at the Hufflepuff table, but his eyes were watching the entrance. His chocolate brown gaze was watching and he felt a smile across his face. He saw Aaron step into the Great Hall and his heart rate increased as he looked at the boy. How fortunate was he that he could call Aaron his? This day was one he'd never celebrated in his young life, in fact up till last year, he'd resented it because he didn't think he'd ever be able to celebrate it. "Aaron! Over here!" He called out, waving to his boyfriend with a wide smile upon his face. He held the flower in his hand as he waited for Aaron to come over.

As he entered the Great Hall, he soon heard a lovely familiar voice which never failed to bring a smile to his face. Aaron went over to Xavier and sat down next to him at the Hufflepuff table. “Happy Valentine’s Day mate,” he said softly as he greeted his boyfriend.

Xavier smiled at Aaron. "Happy Valentines Day Aaron" He said softly. He looked at the flower before looking over at Aaron. "I um, I got this for you" He said softly, taking the red and gold flower and handing to Aaron with a blush. He'd seen his father give his mother flowers every Valentine's when he was younger. The rose wasn't hard to find, but the gold glitter took a little more effort to find. He looked at his boyfriend with a shy smile. He was nervous thinking that Aaron wouldn't like the flower. He didn't expect anything back from the boy, the flower mainly just a little gesture of love from himself.

Aaron grinned as Xavier wished him back a happy Valentine’s Day. He then widened his eyes with surprise as Xavier pulled out a beautiful gold and red flower and presented it to him. Aaron’s face quickly flushed red as he blushed profusely. He’d never been given a flower before- it was a sweet gesture and it gave him butterflies in his tummy. “Oh Xavier,” he said softly, slowly taking the flower, “Th- thank you! That’s so thoughtful of you! I- it’s beautiful, I love it. And I love you,” he said with a fond smile.

Xavier felt his heart sweet as he watched Aaron a smile on his face. He looked at Aaron, love in his eyes. He was glad that he’d loved the flower, Xaie had been afraid that it was too much. “You’re welcome. I’m really glad you love it.” He said softly. “I love you too” He added, giving his boyfriend a kiss on the cheek gently. He didn’t want to break this tender moment, but apparently his stomach did because it chose right then to let out a grumble. Xavier flushed red with a small smile.

Aaron smiled tenderly and blushed slightly, feeling a fluttering sensation in his heart as Xavier planted a soft kiss on his cheek. The two shared their sweet moment until suddenly it was interrupted by a loud low grumble emitting from one of the boys. Aaron couldn’t help but laugh a he recognized the sound- and it didn’t come from him. It was from his boyfriend. Xavier’s stomach was growling. “Sounds like someone’s hungry,” snickered Aaron. “Go on, eat,” he urged Xavier, “Wouldn’t want to upset the beast,” he joked lightly, pulling over his own plate.

Xavier blushed. He couldn’t believe the moment was broken thanks to his stomach. “Eh, sorry about that” He said with a little laugh. “Oh, come off it” He laughed before grabbing his own plate and filled it. He began to eat himself, content with sitting beside Aaron. “I was wondering if you wanted to go for a walk down in Hogsmeade with me?” Xavier asked Aaron, after he’d finished what he’d been eating.

Aaron giggled and smiled, shaking his head. “It’s ok no need to apologize,” he said. “You’re adorable, and I find everything about you cute- even your stomach,” he laughed. As he ate his breakfast, he perked up as Xavier asked if he wanted to walk to Hogsmeade with him. Aaron instantly nodded and grinned excitedly. “Of course! That sounds like a brilliant way to spend the day!” he replied. “I’d absolutely love to mate,” he said.

Xavier blushed as he heard Aaron call him cute, even his stomach. He never seemed to stop blushing around Aaron but he was okay with that. Xaie smiled as he heard Aaron’s answer. He was excited, the village was beautiful in the winter, especially with the layer of snow outside.

It wasn’t snowing at the moment, but it had over night. White, fluffy snow, which was Xavier’s favorite. “Awesome!” Xavier smiled over at his boyfriend. He finished what was left on his plate and let out a small content sigh. That should keep him full until the lunch surprise. “Are you ready to go?” He asked Aaron.

Aaron quickly finished his breakfast and smiled at Xavier. “Alright, let’s get out of here,” he said with a grin. “Satisfied?” Aaron asked, hoping that Xavier wouldn’t be hungry and had eaten enough.

Xavier nodded. “Yep!” He said, standing from the table. He held out a hand for Aaron. “Let’s go” he laughed with a smile on his face. He hoped that today would be perfect, but then again he was with Aaron so it was already perfect.

Aaron got up and looked at Xavier. “Hold on, I’ll be right back. Since it’s snowing I wanna get my special scarf you made me,” he said with a little grin and a wink as the two boys walked out of the Great Hall together.

Xavier laughed as he looked at Aaron. His face blushed, both at the wink and as he heard that Aaron was going to get the scarf that Xaie had made him for Christmas. He followed Aaron until he couldn’t, waiting patiently outside of Gryffindor tower. He didn’t mind walking with him. Today was just for him and Aaron.

Once they had reached Gryffindor Tower, Aaron assured Xavier that he’d be right back, quickly entering and rushing up to his room. He grabbed his scarf and wrapped it around his neck, grinning proudly as he came back and met with Xavier outside of the common room. “Ready!” Aaron said cheerily. “I’ve got me super amazing scarf on so I’m all set,” he said with a grin.
