Fandom The Untold Stories of Hogwarts - 1x1 HP RP

“Of course! It’s no problem!” Allison replied with a nice smile as she fished through her satchel and pulled out a quill, offering it to Rose. “So what do ya wanna do, Kaleb?” Logan asked the Gryffindor boy. “Practice our incantations? Practice potion ingredient memorization? Something else?” he asked.

Rose smiled, gratefully accepting the quill. “Thank you!” She said happily. And then she set to work writing the letter.

‘Hello papa!

It’s been a great month so far at school. I’m writing this letter to let you know that I made the Ravenclaw Quidditch team as a chaser! I’m very excited to play my first game and I’ll write you after to let you know all about it! I miss you and love you!

Love Rosie.’

Rose put the quill down and reread the note. She was satisfied with it and handed the quill back to Allison. Kaleb looked over at Logan and smiled. “Practice potion ingredient memorization would be a good thing to work on.” He said.

Allison sat, trying not to make it too obviously that she was somewhat staring over at the letter as Rose wrote. Luckily, it seemed Rose was too pre-occupied with writing the letter. The contents of the paper were quite sweet and Allison couldn’t help but smile softly at the excitement she had and the love she had for her papa.

Logan nodded as Kaleb said he’d like to practice memorization of their potions ingredients. “Agreed mate! I can’t ever bloody remember the ones to the Hair-Raising potion!” he said. He took out his notebook and opened it to the pages he had taken some barebones looking notes. For as intelligent a student as Logan was, he wasn’t too diligent and attentive.

Rose folded the letter up and got it ready to send. “Would you like to join me to send it off?” She asked, the owls that took letters were in a different part of the castle.

Kaleb nodded, grabbing his own notebook. His was much more organized and there were several notes on even just one potion. “That one is so hard to remember the ingredients that are in it.” Kaleb agreed, reading over his notes.

Allison nodded and smiled, “Of course,” she said, “And I’m pretty sure your papa’s gonna love your letter- whatever you wrote,” she said. They’d have to go take a trip to the owlery where they could send off the letter. Logan nodded in agreement with Kaleb. “Yea!” he said. “Go on, quiz me! I’ve taken a brief look at the ingredients, I think I’ve got ‘em,” said Logan with a confident smirk.

Rose blushed at that and smiled. “I hope so.” She said, standing up. She was excited to send off the letter and was happy to take the trip to the owlery with Allison.

Kaleb nodded, and looked at his notes once more. “Okay. What is the first ingredient that you put in?” He asked.

“No need to hope, you wrote something really sweet,” she told her with a smile. She then widened her eyes and blushed at her mistake. “Err I mean I’m sure you did- I have no doubt. I didn’t really see anything that would be rude,” she quickly corrected herself. As Kaleb asked Logan for the first ingredient, he grinned. “Easy! A rat’s tail!” he replied.

Rose’s eyes widened a little and she blushed. “Thanks.. It’s okay.” She added. Rose wasn’t one to be upset over something little. “Um, ready to go.” She asked. Kaleb nodded. “Great! What’s the second ingredient?” He asked.

Allison wondered if she knew she’d peaked over her shoulder when she wrote but blushed and smiled shyly, choosing not to address it. The sudden confidence in Logan faltered as he failed to remember what else was required of the hair raising potion. “Uhh, erm, uhhh,” he stuttered. Two crushed billy wig stings were needed second, and third was twenty four spider legs. The water needed to be boiled as well, but Logan couldn’t quite recall the rest of the potion off the top of his head.

Rose smiled as she turned to head to the owlery. She couldn’t wait to send this letter to her papa. Kaleb noticed he was a little unsure so he tried to help. “You need how many crushed billy wig stings for the second ingredient.” He asked.

Allison followed Rose to the owlery as the boys continued their studying. “Oi I knew that! That’s what I was going to say!” Logan lied, grinning. “Too easy!” he said, smirking like he hadn’t not been able to recall the second ingredient to the hair-raising potion.

Rose entered the owlery with Allison and called an owl, tying the letter to its leg and sent to Aaron. “Thank you for walking up here with me.” She told Allison. Kaleb grinned, hearing that. “Okay, if you knew that, then what’s the third ingredient?” He asked.

“Of course,” replied Allison with a smile. “You’re my best friend, and that’s what friends are for,” he told her. Logan racked his brain for an answer to the next question. “Hmm, umm, it’s something like insect legs? Ants? Butterflies? Err, centipede legs?” he asked unsurely.

“Well I appreciate it.” Rose told her with a smile. “Should we head back to the boys?” She asked Allison. Kaleb looked at Logan. “You’re so close. It’s spider legs.” He said helpfully.

Allison giggled and nodded, “Yea,” she said. “Hopefully your brother’s head doesn’t explode from actually studying,” she laughed, knowing how Logan didn’t like to study. Logan let out a groan. “Oh dang it! I thought I was onto something there…. Spider legs! Of course!” said Logan.

Rose giggled at that herself. “I know. I can’t believe he’s doing better than me. I study so much more.” She said, turning to head to the library. Kaleb looked at him with a small smile. “You had the insect part down at least.” He said.

“Hey he’s doing better than me too, although I guess that’s not that hard. But still, I can’t figure it out!” Allison said. Perhaps Logan was just naturally gifted. “There we go,” said Logan with a grin, satisfied for now. “Alright that’s enough studying from me,” he said, leaning backwards and kicking back his feet, relaxing and smiling to himself.

Rose nodded. “I know it so weird. Well, at least we know who the athlete is in the family.” Rose said with a little grin. Kaleb looked over at Logan who had leaned back to relax. “That was a crazy amount of studying you just did.” Kaleb teased him, a smile on his face.

Allison giggled as they made their way back to the library. “Oh that’s absolutely you,” she snickered, gently yet playfully poking Rose in the side. “I know right? I’m wiped out I’ll tell ya! I think Rose would be proud,” replied Logan with a grin as Kaleb lightly teased him about his very very brief study session.

Rose giggled again at the playful poke on her side. “Yes it is.” She said, as they entered the library. Kaleb rolled his eyes playfully. “I’m sure she would be.” He said with a laugh.

The two girls soon came back to the library and joined the boys. “Back so soon?” Logan asked them. “Seems like you’ve stopped studying so soon,” replied Allison with a giggle.

Rose rolled her eyes at her brother. “I thought you’d still be studying.” She said with a laugh. Kaleb chuckled. “You just took so long to send off the letter.” He said, siding with Logan.

“I was studying- it was for a while! You guys just took long,” said Logan with a grin, using this as his excuse. Allison giggled, “We were only really gone for about five minutes at the most,” she told the boys.

Rose crossed her arms. “Sure. We took forever.” She said. “Or you studied one potion and called it.” Rose told him. Kaleb nodded. “Yeah, you girls took forever.” He said with a laugh.

Logan grinned and nodded. Allison just shook her head and rolled her eyes playfully. “Boys,” she whispered to Rose.
