Fantasy The Twelve Gatekeepers

"Y-yes." Pisces took a breath. "Yes," she said with a steadier voice now. She stuck close to Sagittarius, keeping her head out of the clouds and making sure to keep on her toes.

For a second, she cast a quick, worried glance over her shoulder at Capricorn. But she did not look long, hearing a beast approach. Of course, her first instinct was to back up.

"Don't worry, he's weak." I calmed her and shoot the fire arrow straight to the monster's forehead which made him disappear. "It's offending how Lucifer thought that he's gonna defeat us like that." I chuckled and continued, "Come on now, Gemini awaits."

"Oh..." Pisces felt a tad bit foolish. She looked down at the katanas in her hand for a moment before following.

"The tougher enemies are probably closer to him." Pisces murmured, feeling uneasy. She wished some of Sagittarius' confidence could rub off on her.

@AugustineVampire

Capricorn did not even move the slightest as they were attacked. She didn't even bother to summon her weapon, since the monster had died so quickly. She kept staring blankly in front of her, not saying a word, while following Sagittarius deeper into hell.

"Except of Lucifer himself, there is no threat for us in this hole." Tara comforted her. "Hell is not as bad as I thought, I must admit." she mentioned looking around, watching her steps. Her mind was distracted the whole time, thinking about confronting Lucifer scared her, since she didn't really meet him face to face. But she knew he could've seen her.

Sagittarius seemed quite knowledgeable about how Hell worked, which was a good thing. Of course, Pisces couldn't shake the heavy feeling she was getting. Pisces took vibes and feelings very seriously... It wasn't something she could ignore at all. Nevertheless, she would trust Sagittarius wholeheartedly.

Meanwhile...

"Heh.. y'hear that, Gemmy? I guess your sisters give a rat's ass for you after all" Lucifer chuckled as he grinned and picked up a whip. "But no matter! Time works differently here, 10 minutes in your realm is like 10 months here!" Lucifer laughed as he struck Gem on the back with the whip, making the poor Zodiac scream in agony.

"
P-please! Stop..! PLEASE!" Gem cried out, sobbing weakly. He had been eventually moved to a chair where he was chained and further tortured but.. Gem finally broke after 5 months in the demon world.. or 5 minutes by Zodiac realm time. "I-I'll do anything..! Please!!" He pleaded and begged, making Lucifer grin and lean down, face-to-face now. "Anything, really? Join me then..." He said and Gemini didn't even think twice before he nodded desperately. He just wanted the painful torture to end already.. "Good.." Lucifer breathed out before he kissed Gemini.

It was about a few minutes later in the demon world when the three Zodiacs would be able to see Gemini walking towards them from a little bit away. He was dressed in an outfit similar to the formal wear he wore every time the Zodiacs met up in the conference hall, but instead of it being purplish blue and what not, it was black, red and gold. His eyes were cold, empty unlike his old self when they were full of floating thoughts. His hair was jet black with a red streak in the front and his eyes were red with black sclera and pitch black eyelashes. He was holding a long spear, longer than his body. He was no longer the two-faced, air-headed stubborn doof the Zodiacs knew Gemini to be.

Capricorn noticed a silhouette walking towards them. It turned out to be Gemini, but not the one they knew.

Capricorn who had been silent this whole time summoned her weapon. She gasped as Sagittarius ran towards him. "What in the world is she doing?", she thought to herself, but Sagittarius noticed soon enough that he wasn't the same.

Once again Capricorn struck a defensive pose. She, as well as the other two found themselves to be in a dilemma. They had to choose between hurting or even killing the monster, and at the same time Gemini, or getting killed themselves.

(Alright, I'll be away for, hopefully, not too long x) )

"Ah.. The courtyard of the High Palace, what a wonderful place. Pity that this gets no recognition when compared to the courtroom of us Divines." A teal haired male whispered to himself, leaning against one of the pillars that make up the Palace and tower over the lush gardens surrounding their everyday life. His skin glowed lightly with an ethereal luminescence, very recently having made the jump to the domain of the humans for a bit of fun. Or at least his version of it. He was quite the tease, and human crowds were very enjoyable to him. Aquarius loved the attention of people flocking to him, even though it was a terrible desire for the god-like figures that they were.

At his side, his twin swords hung rather loosely and swung around at ever step he took. The small clink sound they made as he walked subtly made his presence known to those around him. In his hands, a near empty wineglass with a small amount of a golden brown liquor. A small sigh escaped his lips, finishing off the rest of the liquid carried within his hands. "Sigh.. Human's liquor is so bland, and a bit weak. It's quite the surprise they manage to get themselves into their little drunk high with just a few glasses of this.." He was muttering to himself, slowly making his way to the Divine Courtroom and recollecting his earlier whereabouts.

----- Two hours earlier, in the realm of humans -----

"One more, please." Aquarius was situated in a beachside inn, seated in the bar they offered. He had taken a seat at one of the bar stools closest to the counter. His stance was rather lax, back curved forward and arms resting atop the counter. His right hand was propped up with his elbow resting against the oak-wood top, hand supporting his chin. His left hand was swirling around the rim of another glass, recently emptied within his lips. The innkeeper, a rather scruffy mid-thirties male, placed the glass in front of Aquarius and offered to take the other, to which Aquarius would reply with a quick smile and a small nod. Aquarius brought the glass to his lips, the golden liquid smoothly flowing past his lips, and left a glossy residue on his lips. "It's nearly like flavored water.. Weak taste. No spike to it.. Ah, well, it is the humans I am talking about." He began to think, not wanting to express his feelings aloud and disrupting the peaceful environment.

His light drinking would be interrupted by another figure tapping his shoulders, and had discreetly taken the stool next to him. Aquarius turned his head to be met with a rather curvy human, her wavy brown hair brushed neatly to the back, a skimpy silk tan and white dress cut off right below the neck and right above mid-thigh. Her hazel eyes complimented the sly smile on her face, which only reminded him further that this wasn't the same face he was so familiar with. "Nearly a spitting image of Capricorn, you are." The voice in his head spoke, suppressing an amused chuckle. "And what do I owe the fine pleasure of your wonderous presence, madame?" Aquarius asked her, his voice an icy cool whisper audible only to her and the innkeeper just across the counter.

"You're quite the looker yourself, you know? Curiosity, is all. You have a few bar maids who keep glancing at your back, so I came here to tease. If you'd be willing to play along." The girl had leaned over and pulled him over closer so she can whisper into his ear, a hand running through his hair and around to his neck. Her voice was rather seductive, befitting of her attire, but Aquarius did have a little internal laugh at the thought of Capricorn actually acting like this.

"Of course, it would be my pleasure." He responded with a smile, his left hand rising up to her chin and tilting it up slowly towards his face. But they were cut short by the innkeeper's subtle grunt, and him pointing at a sign behind the counter. Room in back, 45 copper/night. To which Aquarius would give him a light pout, raising his brow as if asking for mercy. He slipped the coins out of his pocket and slid them onto the desk. "Shall we?" He asked the girl in front of him, to which she would respond with a tilt of her head. They rose from their seats and made their way to the provided room, Aquarius' hand wrapped around her waist. The girl in his arms stuck her tongue out at the bar maids rather childishly, giving Aquarius the hint that they were most likely all friends. There was a smile on his face, trying to keep himself composed and stop a grin from forming.

They hardly made their way past the door frame before the door was shut behind him quickly, and the figure of the female jumping onto him. His eyes widened in surprise, and his eyes darted back and forth as he scanned the room before them. "Bed. Bedside tables. A bottle of liquor. Typical human standards." His hands would cup her waist, but spun her around so she was against the wall instead of him. There was a smirk on his face, and he pressed his lips against hers while also firmly pressing her against the wall. He would solicit a light moan from the girl, their locking lips unbroken as they made their way to the bed provided.

----- FADE IT! FADE IT! Skip to the future with Aquarius now at the High Palace. Sorry whoever plays Capricorn, first female I saw in the sign up sheets :P -----

The grand doorway to the courtroom stood before Aquarius, a sigh escaping his lips as he began the attitude adjustment from 'at ease' to a more serious persona. He tightened the two swords at his hips, and made a quick dart to a mirror in the hall to assure he had no sign of his adventure to the human realm, but there was no way to remove the light musk of alcohol in his breath. Exhaling deeply once, he stepped in front of the door and pushed it open, expecting to be welcomed by his other fellow zodiacs.

"Sorry I'm late I had a-..." The room was empty besides a fiery portal in the center of the room, seemingly leading into an endless void. "Ah, never mind..?" Aquarius' hands went to the sheathed blades at his side, drawing them and holding them in his unique style (In his CS, under weapons if anyone is curious on particulars). "There never is anything good when I walk in late. Its too bad.." He made steady strides to the portal, quickly closing the distance between the portal and himself. He stepped through without a doubt in his mind, his vision clouded by a flash of light, then a flash of darkness. He felt himself falling, but wasn't prepared for where the ground would be below him. He folded himself in preparation to roll just in time, the surroundings coming him suddenly and giving him only a split-second to react. He gracefully executed the roll with his blades still in hand, ending in a kneeling position with his head bowed down. "Aquarius, at your serv-.. AHH!" It was his most used greeting, usually spoken in a mocking tone. He had experienced quite the surprise to see Gemini, but not the one he knew, to be in front of him. Aquarius flipped backwards and landed in front of the girls, head Craning backwards and looking lost at the situation he literally rolled into. "Care to explain at all what's happening? And why Gemi looks like he went goth."

Sagittarius was startled and immediately turned back, only to discover that it was her oldest brother, Aquarius. It was painful for her to explain the situation and the awful fate that have fallen on Gemini. "He was tortured and... he joined Lucifer." she finally explained, taking deep breaths. "H-he did something to him, I don't know what to do, Aquarius."

Tara felt rather pathetic, asking for help while feeling desperate. She wanted to rip Satan's head, not that that was a possibility. She held the arrow as strong as she could.

"It's Gemini being Gemini, I suppose. Indecisive as usual." Aquarius spoke back towards Sagittarius, an exhausted sigh released from his lips before standing up and straightening his posture. Suit Aquarius in regal clothing, and he would look quite the prince, he already had the posture and shoulders for it. Also the rather careless and cold expression one would usually associate with a prince. "Anything happen before he turned over? Did he fight, did he get angry, sad, emotional?.." He fired his questions rapidly, trying to get a grasp of the situation at hand.

His gaze was intently set on Gemini's now darkened appearance. His hair had been tinted black, unusual compared to the white he the tuft of white on his head he was so used to seeing. He slipped the swords at his side back into their leather casing, looking like he wasn't prepared to fight his ally. However, Aquarius was known for his skills with the blade, especially the speed in which he drew and swung his blades. He excelled in hand-to-hand combat, but preferred fighting a single opponent rather than multiple at once. He adopted a harmless position, but the others knew that if there was a sense of danger his blades would be back out faster than one could blink.

(I actually don't know for sure who is currently in this scenario, so uh.. There.)

The Zodiac turned dark didn't even flinch when Aquarius came onto the ground like a fallen angel or something. His face still held the cold, empty gaze as he raised his arm, pointing the spear at them. Gemini did have a period where he used to train in using a spear but abandoned it when Father gifted him with his gryffin and fans so it made sense for him to have a spear and not gentle looking fans. He never fought with a spear in front of the girls though, only Aquarius actually saw how skilled he was with a spear. He could be a rather serious threat and problem to deal with without injuring or killing.

Gemini narrowed his eyes before he jolted forward with a swift, silent movement, swinging the spear at Sagittarius and Aquarius. Gemini definitely wasn't being Gemini, there was the unmistakable intent to kill in his movements that one would generally expect from a demon and not a fellow Zodiac like Gemini as he was a peaceful one, not one of war like the Fire Zodiacs.

"Nothing unusual, except his body was possessed by bloody Satan and now he joined him!" she yelled at him furiously, and due to that her eyes turned red. "And neither of us have a clue what to do with him."

She pointed my arrow on Gemini. "Gem, please, I don't want to injure you." Tara begged to him, and took a step back while taking a step back.

Lucifer is actually no where near them right now xD He just told Gemini to kill the siblings that came to Hell to prove his loyalty. and that spear would cut her deep if she doesn't move. pay attention~)

The swords at Aquarius' waist were quickly drawn from their leather casing, seemingly flying towards the swinging spear to parry the fatal slice. "Damn it Gemi, c'mon.." He muttered beneath his breath, not wanting to fight Gemini seriously. Gemini had the range with the spear in hand, but Aquarius was also familiar with the fighting style, and had experience fighting in situations where he had been the underdog.

Gemini narrowed his eyes a bit more for a moment before he pulled his spear away and started spinning it with both hands before he plunged it into the ground and used it as a boost to swiftly kick Aquarius in the chest and send him back before he dislodged the spear and swung it at Sagi's neck to try and slit her throat as he then slashed at Aquarius with a deadly glare on his face.

He winced slightly from the force of the kick, surprised by Gemini's change. The adjustment of the spear was not something Aquarius expected, and was only able to partially block by crossing his right arm over his chest. The kick sent him back a few feet, but the distance made him unable to defend Sagittarius if she didn't defend herself.

Shocked at Gemini's actions, she picked up her bow fast and aimed it at Gemini. "Don't move, Gem." You know I won't miss." I warned him, flaming the arrow and taking a few steps back and standing next to Aquarius. "How are we going to fight him?" she asked in a whisper.

Sagittarius aimed the arrows at his feet and shot, making him take a few steps back.
