Fantasy The Twelve Gatekeepers

Tetragon

Try hard die hard
Contrary to popular belief, God is not the one who keeps constant watch over the human's race. Instead, he entrusts this task with The Twelve Gatekeepers or The Divine Council, the first twelve intelligent beings after God to walk the ground of Earth. By name, they were Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces.

They were there to witness the fall from grace of Adam and Eva and has been watching humans evolve with time henceforth. Each and everyone of them played a specific role in keeping the flow of humans' life under control. Everything was in accordance to God's will and humans lived in harmony. That was, until Satan decided to try his luck one more time at bringing God down.

Unknown to The Divine Council, Satan approached humans and announced the existence of the deities who had been blessing them. All kingdoms began pledging their allegiance to the Gatekeeper they believed in and worshipped. Inevitably, humans began pitting against each other, fighting over which Gatekeeper was the best and most powerful. Earth fell into pandemonium and chaos for the longest of time in history.

Meanwhile, The Divine Council was caught in a controversy as well. Leo, Aries and Sagittarius insisted that the Gatekeepers blessed those who followed them with victory. However, the rest of the council pointed out that in doing this, they would violate an oath they took of never interfering with human's wars and conflicts. They were more concerned with stopping the wars. Aries, Leo and Sagittarius disagreed and declared war against the rest of the council in order to have their way. Even the Divine Council could not escape the clutch of wars in the face of such a threat.

Scorpio stormed through The High Palace, where The Divine Council resided, until he reached the conference room where he was sure the others were crowding in. He just got off a fight against Leo and he didn't even know how he could still be walking with his legs bleeding raw into puddles on the marble floor like that. He wasn't angry about that, however. He was more torn by the fact that he had let a criminal run free from his grasp! This debt he would make sure to pay. He slammed the door open without amble, gaining the full attention of the occupants of the room, and with a deadly somber voice, The Gatekeeper of Punishment announced "Leo, Aries and Sagittarius have turned their back on us. An all-out war is to be expected."

Tilting his head, the white-haired zodiac stood to his feet and put his hands to his hips. "War? Honestly, you people are so predictable. Don't count on me partaking in these petty battles?" He said, shrugging his shoulders. He might not know the reason for the proclamation of war, not did he care. He just knew he didn't want to partake in the fighting and risk a limb or his loyal war pet. There was definitely going to be tension with Gemini's hasty words and indifferent expression. The Zodiac honestly didn't give a damn.

(MUHAHAA. WAIT HOW SHOULD I START xD )

Virgo looked at her fellow council member who had slammed the door open. For a second all she could do was stare at her council member, rerunning the words he had just said, running possibilities in her head of why, or even if this were real. She opened her book of notes and wrote down the information. She also looked to the pages she had dedicated to the traitors, looking for any reason they would betray the council of their brothers and sisters.

"Are you sure, Scorpio? For what reason did they declare such treason?" Virgo asked in a soft, but curious voice.

Scorpio hissed as he plopped down on his usual seat at the round conference table. He was less than graceful but he just couldn't care at this point. The raven-haired Gatekeeper turned to Gemini and snarled "Coward. I did not rouse this war myself! They declared it themselves. You either fight or The Fire Gatekeepers come after your ass, it's simple enough. Aries won't stop at anything until he gets what he wants." He turned away and growled "And I will never let these traitors run loose as long as I'm alive."

Scorpio raised an irritated eyebrow at Virgo "You are the Gatekeeper of Knowledge, how can you not know?" Then he shook his head "You know how the humans have been divided recently due to the debate over which one of us Gatekeepers is the best? Well, since we didn't agree to let The Fire Group interfere, those morons decided to turn on us to get their way. I would know, considering how Leo spat it at my face with all these wounds."

Scorpio returned to tying up his wounds to stop the blood flow before he could pass out on the floor, which he did not want to deal with at a critical time like this.

Scorpio shot Libra a flat stare, totally unimpressed "Other than our life and full control over the humans? I don't know what to say."

"I guess it's official, then." Sagittarius said calmly as she kept her eyes closed "The other gatekeepers are now aware of the war we declared, lovely." she sat down and smirked, "I hope we won't have to spill too much blood, this is going to end up as a huge mess." the zodiac sighed.

"Do you rely on yourselves to convince the others to join us? We're currently out numbered." She asked Aries and Leo.

(I don't know if Aries nor Leo are here. xD )

Gemini laughed, scoffing. "I am not a coward, Scorpio, I just do what benefits me. And if it see any benefit in it, I might join them" He said, turning away. "The battlefield is no place for a dreamer, Scorpio, not all of us have a blind sense of justice guiding us" He remarked and made his way towards the doors, avoiding the puddles of blood on the ground with a bit of a scrowl. "Humans are a race that can be destroyed and replaced, don't think all that highly of them. They're just pests who pollute the planet God created!"

"I may be the Gate of Knowlege, But I wasnt 100% certain of their motive. I apologize." Virgo said, scribbling in her book. She wanted so bad to say something about Scorpio's lack of punishing the Traitors, but decided against it. He had gone up against three of the most powerful Zodiac. She looked towards her other Council Members from her place at one of the ends of the table.

( Oh dammit now I feel stupid because Sagittarius's weapon is Kitanas and not a bow xD Gonna change that real quick :3)

Scorpio's eyes widened and they were immediately lit by unmeasurable rage. In a flash, his scythe was summoned into his hand and he swung it to block Gemini's path, effectively stopping the God from exiting the room. He snarled "I don't give a damn about humans. They can die out for all I care. They have been destined to from the very moment they were created. Justice is Libra's job not mine. What I care about is punishing those who commit sins. But if you are going to mingle with those criminals, I might as well kill you right here and now while I still have the chance." The Gatekeeper released a shuddering breath as if trying to calm himself down "Step one more step out of this room, Gem, I will be forced to return you to our Father."

She sighed as she realized the seriousness of the other zodiacs, "I didn't expect them to be that furious, and to give us the topic 'traitors'?"

She got up of her sit, putting the bow aside. "Us, fighting against each other might cause an injury to Earth itself, we need to be careful." Sagittarius warned them, a bit worried about the whole situation that happened from just one argument.

Scorpio nodded slightly to Virgo to indicate that he accepted the apology, eyes still trained onto Gemini. He replied calmly "Now that you know why, do you have any idea as to how to deal with this problem? I assure you, however, the moment I get my hands on them, they will not live to see the next day so I would like to hear some plans that involve having them caught."

"The last time I checked, Scorpio, they are doing what they believe is right. Only Father can deem them sinners and if he chooses not to act at all on this matter, I won't either." He said. "I swore upon Father's name that I will never raise my sword again and I mean to keep that vow, it means a lot more to me than the oath to not meddle in pathetic human lives" He muttered, eyelids drooping a little as he kept a calm expression. "They are sinners in only your opinion and maybe someone else's, but not mine. Who ever kills their sibling is a sinner for me, so, go ahead, kill your brother right here and right now. I won't even lift my fans!" He said, holding out his arms to expose his chest.

"You cant punish someone just like that.. That is without justice interfering" Libra said

"You are not the king of us...do that and both you and gemini will go back to our father" Libra said as he glared at scorpio

"I'm thinking. I'm looking through every single note In this damn book." Virgo said slightly more coarse, Passing the page on Gemini. She carefully scanned everything, and tried to remember anything she hadnt written. She was still trying to process everything.

"But I do know one thing, Scorpio, You're Injured. It would be Ill-Advised to fight Gemini." She said, looking at the two fierce flames in the room

Taurus swept into the building. "My sincerest apologies for being late, I was out in the forest..." Looking across the room she noticed the tense faces."What on earth is going on?" Taurus said inquisitively. Looking at the others she took a seath, waiting for an explanation. What could be so important that they were turning on each other? She cast her eyes around the room. She would hate for there to be an argument. This was her family and they were important to her. She waited for an answer.
