Fantasy The Summits

Darman glared at the girl who had just run out and even more at who had once lovingly called Joey.. He put up an arm to keep them from coming close and motioned them back in. It wasn't anything personal, he wasn't angry with her for showing concern. It was safety. If he turned, he wanted his full force directed on someone else, not them. He took a step forward out of the shelter and to the newcomer. "Stop dancing around it. Say what you're going to or leave. Your choice." He said low enough just so that this person could barely hear.

Vi stayed where she was, then grabbed the tarp and crawled to her feet. She stumbled out to stop them from driving the girl away, then fell to her knees. "Wait. I want to know how shes lived here so long. Please tell us why we will die if we leave?"

Jenna looked at her, "Since shes blind, she had to adapt some way but im not to sure how either im trying to figure it out."

8 was wondering her hometown on the island, weeping at her own loneliness, when she heard a group of people bickering. She attempted to climb up a hillside to look for these people. She only got about halfway up when she lost her grip and tumbled back down. Her body lay rest at the bottom in a puddle. She sat up and began crying again as the rain soaked her from above.

Seth stepped away from Darman, not wanting to be touched, or worse, injured.

"I just- I wanted to know if I could join... I don't want to die all alone out here."

"This place cannot support so many mouths. This hunting gathering bullshit does not work." She sniffs, ignoring the words of the prophet.

"You need to focus on moving closer to the water. There are fish but I cannot... I can't get them. Move inland and you starve to death. I've heard the cries the young ones make when their stomach starts leaking acid into their body. I've joined in with them at eating the first to die. Establish yourselves and stop your ignorant following of false words of fate. I can't see the future but I've seen the past repeat itself over and over"

Jenna loooked at her "False my ass i am really tryign to understand you, please tell me if i was right are you blind?" Jenna asked looking at her she took tow steps closer to her, "Why do you want to help us anyways? You would think it would be good for you, more food then usaul right? The path i saw can change but only if something alters it, i have no idea what and neither do you so stop running your mouth about things you can't understand.!" She looked at her with angry eyes, she foresaw her dads death so she knows what its like to be right and she hates it.

Jenna stopped and looked at Babble "You can't leave," she walked up to him. "Things are not right and i have no idea whats out there, please just wait for us to settle this." She looked at him with concern.

Vi nodded slowly, from her place on the ground. "So fishing is our best bet.. for this information may I offer to give a ration of what we catch?" She offered, taking into consideration her disability. "As far as hunting and gathering, If we live off of fish and grow from the seeds we have thanks to the avians, then eventually we may create something sustainable... however if what Jenna saw is correct, we will have to formulate a compromise."

"So what you're saying is that you need us to survive because you can't catch a damn minnow." Darman said crossing his arms. "Look, we'll be glad to survive together with you but no gloom and doom. You want to help, you bring it to the group and we work to decide if it's beneficial." His heart rate started lowering and breathing going back to normal. His vision had narrowed terribly but was widening just enough. "Do you want in?" Darman turned and made a quick snuff at Joey to keep him in place. He put his hand on Fortune Teller's head and held it there trying to keep her calm. "We take this day by day and we plan. Together."

Luna listened to there dull conversation. She began shaking, noticing that there was a lot of sound energy coming from over there. She tried to still herself, but she couldn't. She hadn't seen people in years, let alone this many. She was basically having a mini panic attack inside her brain as the people kept talking and bickering.

Jenna looked at him, "Shes right in a way though i could be wrong and our fates could have changed even now its possible." She looked at him with sorrow in her eyes as she accepted the fact that the blind girl could be right.

"I'm going to leave," He turned to Jenna and Darman. "If she's right, we have to leave. Anyone who wants to come can." He started for the exit, head hung, hands in his pockets.

Darman threw a small wooden carved spike he had up his sleeve at Joey's foot. He glared at Joey fully before returning to the problem at hand.

"I don't need help. I'll outlive you all regardless if I starve or not."

Her head tilts toward the prophet. "Another word about my blindness and I'll kill you myself. I am going with the babbling one to assist his relocation. He is being smart and heeding what the reality the situation is. This isn't some day camp to get all buddy buddy and snuggle up with your island boy friend. It's a struggle each day and just because you don't feel it now, come day nine you will. You were all better in your cages, now you are in my land"

Jenna broke away from Darman, she walked backwards. Knowing this was no good for him she ran and tackled him. "Your Staying untill we figure this out!" Then she sat on him and looked around the beach and stopped at her . "What did you just say to me? I will cut off your head where you stand i know you can't regenerate from that no one can. You should not be threatening me because im not kidding when i say i will kill you and burn your head so you can't come back." Jenna had figured out the only way she could survive was with a regeneration technique.

"You have a population of one. You rule nothing here. This is nothing but a rock we have the misfortune to be stuck on." Darman took a half step turn to go back. "Be on your way." He completed his turn and started trying to gather everyone back into the shelter.

Vi smiled pleasantly. "Thank you for your input. I have heard enough of this.. now you have lost my interest so.." Her smile left her completely. Eyes red and dangerous and white skin adding emphasis. "You leave us alone to make our decision. Our death means you eat.. so try not to do us any favors. It will be for the best." Smile returned near as quickly as it left. "Hmm.. Darman, would you give me a hand? This ground loves me too much." She joked.

Tatt scowls.

"Your only resource will be death. When they start to drop let me know. Failures rot quickly and the meat goes bad."

Carefully walking over to babble, Tatt shoves Jenna off him and helps the one willing to come with her up.

Darman turns at the doom and gloom bringer with another wooden spike. He holds it in his fist protruding where his middle finger would be. He held it slightly to the side as if about to throw it. "Touch them again, and you will be the only death here."

Babble pushes her helping hand away and stands on his own. "If i have this story correct, you showed up out of no where and tried to rule this...group." He helped Jenna up. "You're kidding yourself if you think I'm gonna abandon the only nice people here. And you also just hurt the only person I knew prior to this whole situation... so no, I'm not going to help you." Babble stood Jenna up and backed both of them back to Darman.

Luna had had enough. She opened her wings, her eyes practically on fire. "WOULD YOU ALL SHUT THE HELL UP AND CONTROLL YOURSELVES!" She screamed, her voice deafening the camp. She placed a hand on her forehead, trying to calm down a bit. "Sorry, you were just starting to piss me off." She said, trying to soothe her anger.

Vi looked at Luna with raised eyebrows. She smiled brightly and clapped. "Well done mien friend! You got my attention! good use of irritation." She said from the ground, then her eyes swept over to the new one known as Babble. He was a brave guy. Very well put together and mentally there. A perfect addition.

"Are you threatening me? If so do something impressive because all I feel is a scared little man with nothing to back himself up."

She raises her hands, casting them over the range of mountains and jungle. " There are others out there. Survivors living solo. These groups break down and fail and they continue on. I don't wish to rule, just not to hear your deaths. You all think I need help? I've been here long enough. Do your worst to try and kill me. I welcome it. All you will accomplish is to condemn yourselves to a worse fate."

Another blind comment hits her and Tatt snarls. " I will rend your eyes from your skull. Last warning"

"What are you motives behind all of this? Because we aren't letting you be the leader of a democratic-style group? Damn," He stepped toward her. "If i'm correct, you came in out of nowhere, technically so did I, but nevertheless, you're trying to control people who don't want t be controlled. You're the bad guy... Not us." Babble stood in front of the group, separating them from the girl, protectively. He was terrified on the inside, but he didn't let it show.
