Fantasy The spectrum RP (open)(detailed/casual)

Councillor Mas? He must be one of the council members of the academy. And he was supposed to come and meet here?

...Anyway, so make something in liquid, sub solid and solid. Got it.

Isolde absorbed a great deal of yellow hue and began forming a yellow mass of hue in the shape of a ball, and began bouncing it on the ground to test its flexibility.

She then created a solid hard shaped plate and tapped on it with her fingernails.

As for something in liquid form, Isolde took a small cup and filled it with yellow fluid, and created it so that it was thicker than water but gooey and sticky to the touch.

She went up to her teacher and showed him her creations.

''Mister..? Are these done alright?''

@Flowiest

Drifting... drifting... Darling, where'd you go... what's going on..? Broken body? Nah, no problem... every wound is mine, mine... money here, clothing there, food, food... what's going on..? Where are you, why'd you do this..? for my own good. No, that's not... that can't be right. You can see more than the stars. Darling, I don't know right and wrong. Smell of the sea. Citrus, where's that from? Orange... the Academy... the Academy?

SHIT!

Bryant catapulted awake and smacked his head right into the low roof of his cell. Spewing a river of euphemisms knocked loose by the head injury, Bryant staggered around the tiny room, cursing his height, cursing the low ceiling, cursing the Academy, cursing fate, cursing the darkness, cursing the blanket wrapped around his leg. He instinctively reached up and tried to summon his Hue, but couldn't in the blackness; he cursed that, he cursed his "condition", he cursed that he did the right thing and told Lucy about it. He swore until the pain subsided, and with a huff, he passed by the pale warden scribbling away at her forms and stumbled into the orange light of the morning. He looked shiftily across the campus green and made like he was brushing his hair to the side, leaving a woven streak of Hue to do its work on the bruise. Made slightly dizzy with the effort this early and without food in his stomach, Bryant straightened his rumpled vest and stumbled towards the cafeteria.

It was early; other than some more diligent students and faculty, the cafeteria was empty. Bryant piled his trencher with well seasoned food and dug in, watching the sunrise through the cafeteria's huge windows and enjoying the ebb and flow of the morning. After he was done, Bryant cleaned up after himself and wandered toward the Orange hall.

...Wonder if Yvette would recognize me? Certainly made enough trouble in her class.

Hell, I wonder if she knows something about slowing down the Shattering process?

I shouldn't get my hopes up. But, well. Some hope is better than none.

Don walked over with a friendly smile,

"Why young lady yes these are great.. What's your name miss?" He asked as he put a finger in her cup, "a bit sticky.. But exactly what i suggested" he chuckled slightly,

When Bryant arrived many orange talents were visibly upset.

Some crying some bawling, snot down noses.. Terrible sight.

Sub orange went to speak, but couldn't find words

''My name is Isolde Ailmere, sir. I'm a new student at this academy. Pleasure to be here.''

And then she flashed her famous smile as usual.

"Your quite skilled for a new arrival," don looked into her eyes,

"Yellow is showing decently enough.. Not to close to breaking.."

Don got a few things like small hollow tubes, mugs, a pin and tumbler lock, sheathe for a dagger

Yellow hue vase...

Once he placed all these items Infront of Isolde he started talking again

"Miss alimere, if you wouldn't mind...could I see your work again?

Whatever you wish to do, solid sub solid, liquid I just wish to observe"

''Um, why of course.''

Isolde took several of the items he had placed in front of her and gently filled them with yellow hue, all in different shapes and forms but nothing too extravagant.

Don looked carefully as she used her talent,

The semi solid still sticky, liquid goopy

And solid had a slight bend to it. He was more concerned with how she did with the lock,

He picked it up and went to turn the lock, it seemed to give way before snapping.

Thoughts raced and connected inside his mind but he turned back with a smile

"Your remarkably talented for a new arrival miss alimere.. I'd say you have no need for beginning lessons" he trailed off.. As students returned to there work he lent in closer.

"When did you start training" he asked quietly just for them to hear.

His smile gone, his eyes cold and searching, peering into her eyes, as if reading her, or staring through her like glass.

From sweet and smiley to stone cold in a moment. Geez.

Okay okay. Gotta find a good cover up for his question. Um...

'
'I started training a bit from early puberty i think. Why the sudden curiousity sir?''

She glanced cluelessly at him.

"I think you would be curious to... about a new student doing better then beginners I've helped practice for months?...on her first try?" He says still quietly, his eyes searching for a shred of doubt, looking for deception,

"If you had been practicing from say.. Age fourteen, say two hours a day, three hundred and sixty four days a year, for the last seven? Eight years?" His voice had started to soften a bit, but the cautious cold tone was there.

"Have you seen a slaz? You'd understand why this protocol is so important.. Is there anything you would like to ask? Inform me of?" Don asked with a slight bit more empathy then a chameleon.

''I have seen a slaz once yes, near a village. Luckily it got captured before too many got hurt.

I understand your scepticism sir, and yes i had been practicing quite a lot at that time. I even had a relative at that time to help me with it. ''

"Sorry for any discomfort miss alimere" dons smile would be easing its way back before he spoke to others, he went on to give advice on how a solid is formed, how the tiniest detail can make or break a hue creation

A spectrum guard was watching, at times writing something down.

Same as in every hall, and public room. Security was noticeably tighter, stricter..

Claustrophobic almost.

Phew that was close...So maybe it isn't often they see new students already being experienced enough with their talents...?

Then what about the fast learners? Surely they must have seen some other students being quickly adaptable at learning.

...Not like I'm bragging about my skills or anything like that. Rather, it puts me in extra difficult situations as being a new student....

Something fishy is definitely going on around here for everybody to be so damn strictly observant.

She stuck a little for a while observing the class. Before excusing herself and walking out. She had seen other students walking out like nothing, so why couldn't she?

Alright. So next up is the class for the grey talented, i'd think?

I'm pretty much a beginner when it comes to collecting grey hue, anyway.

And after that...cleaning duty....well hooray.

She went through the hallways, passing by other classrooms while trying to figure out her way to her next class.

Hmm... Hah, wait.. is that crying that i hear..? She raised her eyebrows in confusion.

After dressing up, getting all of his stuff and having a breakfast Kent went to the Pink Hall to talk with Mister Dent.

Dent was sitting at his desk writing down something important to him,

A few people had already started with the sub pink, going over pink manipulation, controlling the strands you can project.

A spectrum guard in the corner of the room looking at the back of everyone, glancing at dent.

Kent approached. He opened his mouth, like he wanted to say something, but no sound came out of it. After closing it for a moment he opened it again and a few seconds after he said "A-any news on th-the job?"

Dent stopped writing to look up, his withered mouth had a smile on his old gentle face

"Sit with me" he adjusted his glasses before he reached for a stool under the table next to his chair

Once Kent had sat he slid a page over toward him, nothing uncommon, Andrew was dents favourite by all means, a top student.

However he wasn't explaining or discussing ideas,

He had written on the paper,

Spectrum guard could relay information, no words spoken as we don't know whose wearing that helmet.

He wrote on another piece of paper from his book

We may be under surveillance. Mistress white will send for you when we are needed,

You must do what you do normally, someone will contact you today.

He moved it to the side and left a pencil if a question was to be asked

Kent wrote something under the paper, trying to act like he was filling out a form. Under some squiggly lines that were meant look like writing there was a "Alright."

Kent stood up and looked at Dent: "Is that it?"

"I'm more then happy for you to fill in for Joshua" dent said casually, raising a hand he said softer

"I think your more qualified" he chuckled softly.

The sub pink josh looked back awkwardly, before continuing with his instructions

Overall he was worried about his promotion, a tad jealous of Andrew

"Y-yeah." Kent says and turns around. He was confused, did he also have to become a sub now? He hoped not. He doesn't think he would do a good job. Kent left the Pink Hall, heading towards the Purple Hall for his lesson.

((Tag me when you get a post that has something to do with Kent, eg. the orders arrive.))

Lucy reluctantly returned to the school she despised when she noticed how dark the sky had gotten, she practically ran the whole way and de-clothed herself and fell asleep in her bed almost immediately.. Using up all that grey hue had left her exhausted... In the morning she pulled on another school uniform and walked groggily into the canteen and got some food, it tasted terrible but she was starving after missing dinner the previous night

Isolde looked out for the signs and banners around the halls, and finally found her way into the classroom for the grey hue talented.

She peeked in and saw that their teacher had already begun the class, so she quietly went inside and sat down while excusing herself.

The girl sitting next to Isolde tilted herself towards her before whispering "The sub is Joanne, shes new, don't know what shes like." into Isolde's ear, before quickly tilting herself back, sitting properly again, before the sub notices.

"As I was saying, today we'll be learning voice manipulation." Joanne's voice was loud, but not angry or strict. But one would not confuse her voice to be weak, because it certainly wasn't that, but it wasn't too powerful either. Now that Isolde could see her better she noticed she was quite tall and slim or "curvy". She had long curly crimson hair and her head in size was quite small, its best seen feature her short, but sharp chin. She was too far for Isolde to see her face well and she could only properly recognize her small round nose. Through her appearance one would think shes using her talent all the time.

"Voice manipulation is an difficult art. Changing your voice to be just of the opposite sex requires lots of training. So now you'll all get into groups of three, all of the same sex. One will say something, the next will try to mimic the voice heard as well as they can and the last one will listen closely to confirm how well the second did."

As the class got divided into groups, Isolde got paired up with two other students as a group.

The two seemed to have more experience with the grey hue than her, as Isolde had noticed.

Also, voice manipulation had shown to be quite difficult for her as it was her turn to try and mimic the voice of her classmate.

She was of course still a beginner, so absorbing the grey hue didnt come exactly as easily to her anyway.

Well it can't be done perfectly after first try anyway. She sighed, a bit disappointed at how badly she did it.

For me, the yellow hue is so much easier to use in all honesty.

The groups continued to practice for quite a while before finishing and returning back to their seats.
