The Shadow World is a pretty easy-going simple forum, however there are still a few rules we ask everyone to follow so we make sure things continue to run smoothly. If you have a concern with one of the rules or would like to add one, please PM LNK or Prince as soon as possible! Anyway, without further ado, the rules…


Dice Rules


If you're having trouble with an RP partner in a combat scene, roll the die. Whoever rolls the higher number gets a hit. We don't want to deal with people fighting about a fight gone wrong, so roll the dice first.


Character Creation


-This is a full-OC RP, meaning no canon characters are available to play. Everyone can have a maximum of 3 characters at a time. This means if you’d like to add another character but you are at your 3-character limit, you must find a way to get rid of one. This keeps the forum from getting cluttered with a million different RPs.


-No Mary-Sue or Gary-Stu characters. Nobody’s perfect and all characters have flaws!


-Please, don’t be afraid to add detail to your character. Give them depth and make them interesting! Characters still must be cleared by Prince before being able to use.


-The following half-breed characters are not allowed:


Half-vampire


Half-forsaken


Half-warlock


Half-fae and half-werewolf are allowed. Any other halfbreeds must be cleared by the admin first.


The RP & Progression


-Start off your RP with your character’s location so no one gets confused. Example:


Name: Adalynn


Location: Library


-No characters are immune to everything, and they have weaknesses. Remember that your character can be hurt in fights.


-Before killing someone else’s character, make sure you have cleared it with them and they are good with it. Do not try to kill someone’s character without permission from them first.


-No God-modding. This means no controlling someone else’s characters or making them do something in the RP. You control your own characters, and that’s it.


-Pregnancies in the academy are not allowed.


-Mature scenes must be taken to the PMs, or skipped. Romance is allowed, but no one wants to read an RP meant to be private! Use your judgement on when you think a scene should end or be taken to the PM.


Misc.


-If you have a problem with another RPer, talk it out with them via PM. Please no personal fights on the forum.


-Regular old RPer conversations should take place in the Chat tab in the forum.


-If you have suggestions on how to make the forum better, PM LNK or Prince.


The Warning System and Bans


-Arguments on the forum will not be tolerated, and will result in a warning in the form of a om from Prince at first. But continued problems will result in lasting suspension until the problem and or conflict is resolved.


- All members are expected to post at least once a week. Missing one week is no big deal and we understand that everyone has a busy life, but one a week is not a tall order so the first time you'll be reminded kindly that you've missed a day. If this goes on a second time you will be given warning, and once more after that we will assume you no longer have an interest in the forum and thus you will be removed from the members list. Sorry for the strictness of this but its for the best.


-All Role-Characters with jobs to do one the forum will be asked to check on progress for there part in the forum. If you cant comply with this you'll be asked to give the position to another person.
