Fantasy The Return of Corruption
"He's gone…" she cried, falling to her knees. "The one good thing life gave me…" she cried.
Bailey smile sadly, "Trust me please. He's not dead, and he is going to make his way out of wherever he is. Out of all the visions I've had, surprisingly, he didn't die in any of them. The bastard I'd to damn stubborn."

"Eliana saw him die…the new member of the team saw him die…my Ari is gone." she cried, burying her face in her hands.

Ari suddenly started falling. "Fuck my life!" He yelled. They were over the clouds. They gained velocity very fast
Ari didn't have enough magic to summon Shen-Long, Xocotzi wasn't made for altitudes that high, and they were moving far too fast to summon a magic potion so he could summon Shen-Long

There was no way in hell Sandro's shield would survive an impact of the crash. There they were, free-falling at an altitude that would turn them into a meteor

"I stand corrected, Sandro. I haven't used that much magic in a serious fight in a decade." Ari yelled. Neither of them had enough magic to take an impact that huge if they hit the ground

What would Ari do?

@Inheritance
He assumed a feather fall would handle it, but this was if he cast it on one, and they were connected in the shield they'd both fall. "Ya know" he yelled as they were falling, "for someone who can also throw daggers and use spells, you're pretty bad ass. I am honored to have fought with you. Any way your pet can save us. WAIT!" He turned to the devil. "Teleport us out!"

Devil: Pffff yea right I'm not taking this hit. I'm out. " he vanished.

Sandro: "well...if I can help, what can I do?"
"No. I was forced into becoming a lich. Anyway, the book is some sort of ledger. I stole it from a demon. I don't know what language it's in, so I don't know what it says. Was hoping if you could give it a look through, see if you recognize any of the names, or can tell me what's in it,"

"Very well. Let me have a look." he said, as he approached the lich, slowly. He looked at the sinister book and said "I spent many years in the Abyss, and it does look quite demonic. I can recognize more than half of the runes, in fact." he added, being rather astonished and admiring the book. "It must hold great power within..." he added, as he looked up at the Lich, with the face of someone who had just seen a powerful ancient artifact, that shouldn't get into the hands of an irresponsible owner.

(IKR. I wish it was an actual show, no matter how dumb it would be, I'd just love it xD )

They passed through the clouds now and were starting to burn as their speed kept increasing. It'd burn through magic shields at a slow-moderate rate.

"I think I have an idea. It won't work unless we're closer to the ground: What we'll do for now is charge up as much magic as possible. Do that while I get the rest of the plan together. Put about 30% towards the shield and I'll put 30%. By the time the shield gets worn thin, I'll be ready."

Ari turned into a little snake. That way he took up less space so Sandro's shield could protect against the fall-burn for longer. While in snake form, he started to charge up magic. Some of the magic went towards Sandro's shield to keep it strong

She began to cry even harder. "He was pulled into the Abyss. My Ari…" She held the ring tightly and sobbed. "I wanted to marry him…"

Sandro shrugged. "We're all the same when death knocks." He surged power into the shield. He cast the feather fall to a lesser degree, slowing the decent enough to give them more time and slow the burning. He began to sing. "I can't stop this evil now, it's taken over me. The darkness now that I can't hide displayed for all to see..."

As Arabelle talked, Bailey's eyes went a little dull, then back to normal a few seconds later. "Arabelle, you're have got to trust me. Ari is coming back," She knelt down, "I promise you'll is."

Ceralder handed it to him. "It's bound to anyone who weilds the key. Here, II'll unlock it," Ceralder put the key into the first lock, and unlocked it.

"I can transcribe the book, and it surely holds great power within it. But... there may be more protection inside. Such as demons, wait. Do not open it yet, we need protection first." he said, moving the book away as he tried to put the key inside. It was too dangerous to open a demonic book with no magical protection prior to doing so... but, they were in a church. "On second thought... we are in a church. It is safe to open it." he said, then waited for him to continue.

Land came into view, but was still too far to tell where they were headed for

The feather fall slowed them, but after a couple of seconds, they were right back to the same speed. They were moving far too fast for their magic to be sensed by anyone unless they released a massive amount

Ari had the plan down, but they still needed to bide their time. They had to be closer and they needed more magic in general. Xocotzi couldn't be summoned at that altitude. It wouldn't be so simple as to summon her though, as their massive speed would prevent her from flying completely. Ari had a plan

Ceralder would unlock the first lock, then unlock the next two.
