Fantasy The Return of Corruption

Cross got up ready to leave. "That's where's you and me are different. You took the high ground. I took the low ground. Before my wife died I always thought the person who made the good choices in life would never have to pay the price for it. I made the right choice when I refused to kill some werewolves. But where did it get me? My wife died and my daughter almost met the same fate. Every fucking day I remember that night and wish I was the one who died not Azura. I had to live with that feeling for 27 years Tyr. Though I will say I'm sorry for what happened to you any loss of innocent life is a tragedy on its own. I just ask don't be like me, how you handle your sorrow is what separates humans from monsters. Don't be a monster like I was." Cross walked away hoping Tyr will come back.

"He probably hates me...I mean he has a right to. I'm horrible," She muttered, "And I know he doesn't want to see anyone right now."
Ari grabbed her hand and pushed her towards the front door. "By anyone, that means anyone but you. If I confront Tyr, we'll probably fight and destroy Toron. You and probably Alex the only ones who can bring him back in, so go."

"Didn't Toron already get destroyed?" She asked, "And Alex doesn't need to see him pissed off." She sighed, and slowly walked out of the church, and two rads the cemetery. Now normally she wouldn't be nervous taking to her husband, but she knows what he can be like when he's angry. So, she was a bit on edge. She noticed Cross, and gave him a small smile, then looked at Tyr. She fiddled with her fingers for a minute. "Tyr..." she said quietly after a few seconds of silence.

Tyr, hearing his wife's voice, looked behind him. "B-Bailey..?" Tyr was silent for a minute, taking deep but shaky breaths before he looked back at her. "I-I'm sorry.. You deserve better than me. Both you and Alex. I should have tried to stay instead of just leaving when they told me too." Tyr stopped, being too choked up to continue and fighting back the urge to wail with tears. "I-I understand if you want to leave me.. I just hope that you will be happier without me."

"Why the hell would I leave you? Your the only man I've ever loved that didn't use me. I know I shouldn't have said what I did, and I'm sorry. I just....I just don't you leaving for three years a habit. Sometimes going without food is better than not having you. I- me and I know Alex, both don't want to see you go off, and come back either in a worse metal than you are now or just a letter saying you've died. We don't want that happen again."

Tyr was too emotional to say anything. He just simply let out another shaky sigh and moved over slightly as if to invite Bailey to sit with him. He wanted to say something that would redeem himself in some way. Something that would make him seem like nothing was wrong in the first place. Something that would restore Bailey's view of him. But all he did was cry silent tears.

Ari watched from afar via Infrared. He didn't want to get involved with their family discussion, but this was still Khan's army, Demon-infested Toron. He couldn't hear, but he could still see them, keeping overwatch from the top of the Church.

Ari drew his Sniper Crossbow and drew a Silence Rune on it. If demons were coming, he'd take them out without disrupting their moment

Bailey sat next to him, and took one of his hands. "Tyr, you remember what I told you about five years ago right? It's ok to cry, I'm not gonna judge right now cause I wanna cry too," She said with a cracking voice. "Please Tyr, I'm so sorry for what I said, I just...I just," She looked away taking a shaky breath, "I don't know why I said that. You didn't need to hear it and I didn't need to say it."

Ari started firing his bow, the arrows whisking through the fog in complete silence, not disrupting Bailey and Tyr's talk. That silence rune really worked. They could both hear faint shrieks as the demons approaching them were vanquished

Suddenly, he sees another demon, bigger than the rest he took down. He aimed his sniper crossbow and fired at the bigger figure

The arrow bounced off some invisible wall. Magic was heard, and bolts of black lightning streaked out towards him. "You meddle with beings beyond your understanding fool!" More magic words were heard, and this time, orbs of black fire were hurled at the group. "Face the wrath of the Black Conflux!"

Ari jumped over the flames and thunder. "A long-range battle isn't something you want with the Black Assassin, Halahala's Chosen" In the air, Ari pointed his crossbow. "Divide and Conquer." Ari fired the crossbow and 100 arrows flew at the enemy.

"Master, should I go find the source of that magic?"

"Go ahead," Ari whispered.

Sandro was surprised at the speed and velocity in which these arrows were fired. Never had he encountered such an Archer. His shield grew alarmingly weak. He couldn't let them know this of course. "FOOLS! You have already lost! Now come to me....come...." More words were cast, and a thick black fog covered the lands around him...it grew very silent, and even a yell seemed very far away. People heard whispers in their ears. "Your friends, will abandon you!" Skeleton hands began coming out of the ground to try and grab the heroes..."

Ari heard voices in his head. As he looked to find the voice, A hand popped out of the ground and grabbed Ari's foot. It tried to pull him underground. A lot of force here!

"Master!"

"No worries, Lexi," Ari whispered as he shot the hand. "When you get to him, he's going down for sure." Ari could talk to Lexi via telepathy bond between the familiar and the summoned

This enemy would need a lot more than delayed spells to defeat him. The game of Keep-Away was his forte, Sniping his specialty

Ari jumped into a tree. The enemy was in plain sight in Infrared. "Stillpiercer," Ari muttered. Wind circulated around his bow. This next arrow would pierce the weakened shield. Ari fired, and the force of the recoil sent his sights upwards. Unless this enemy had another shield or some sort of vanishing act up his ass, he was getting hit
