Fantasy The Return of Corruption

Ari stayed silent throughout all of their little exchange. It really wasn't any of his business, or at least it shouldn't be. Arabelle took off after Tyr
Ari went in with Bailey. "Oi. Not here as my usual self. You threw the man into an existential crisis."

@FireMaiden
"Just probably ruined my marriage too," Bailey said, the bottle was almost half empty. "I I really shouldn't have said that but....," she sighed, and wiped tears away, "If you heard that, then you know what's going on."

"Aye. I do and I doubt you've ruined your marriage. Tyr is dumb, but there's no way he is that dumb. He lives to fight, but just needs another outlet to get his fighting fix than going out to a damn war."

Katherine, realizing it was no use fighting them as the knife slid across her back, took off at a mad sprint towards the tower, her speed, being a werewolf, would have her their in seconds, her skin healed quickly from the knife blade.

"Yeah, but he doesn't see that. You heard what I said, and I would've explained what I meant if he hadn't run off. I just don't want to lose him again. Those three years with out him were awful I could barely take it. I had to lie to Alex, I did some regret able things....I just didn't want that to happen again and..." She took another long drink form the bottle, "I'd much rather go without a full stomach than without my husband."

(Sorry, I'm a little confused. Did you mean the tower away from the forest or the tower next to the small candle deeper in the forest?)

"Makes sense," Ari said. He looked into his bag and pulled out a bunch of contracts. "Look, I can set Tyr up as a Merc. I get a lot of contracts since I'm the Black Assassin, and they're not all assassinations. By proxy, he'll be set. I don't want his dumbass dying in a war."

Ari snatched the bottle from her. "Stop drinking this shit. It's for good times only."

Bailey took it back and killed it, "Don't tell me when to drink or not," She paused and sighed, "Thank you Ari, I really hope he hasn't done anything stupid."

Tyr slumped behind a mausoleum and sobbed bitter tears. Bailey was right. They deserved better than him. Someone who could be a real father and not simply a shell of one. He hated to say it, but he knew Bailey deserved better too. She was such an amazing woman, and he loved her dearly. But she deserved more than what Tyr had to offer. He would gladly lay down his life, if it meant that Alex and Bailey would be happy. Alex might even grow up to be something great, not just another screw up bard like his father.

(What can I say? Two years studying drama and acting in plays can make you bend other people's feels like putty.)

(Fuck you, it was hard enough making Bailey say what she did, and I have a couple different back stories for her depending on how this ends)

Cross saw Tyr behind the Mausoleum. But for a brief second he saw himself there crying. Beating himself up for his wife's death. Cross took a deep breath before approaching Tyr. "I saw what happened earlier. You mind if I keep you company?"

"Fuck off, Cross." Tyr said, as he gripped at the handle of his dagger. "Go back inside before you get yourself hurt. I'm not in the mood."

(It'll end with a good ending. Don't you worry.)

"Tyr isn't dumb. He knows he still has to protect you. If he doesn't care about you, then he'll still protect Alex. We should go get him."

(Still, I've come up with a few, or at least a base for them)

"Get myself hurt? I wouldn't be out here if Me or Arabelle weren't worried about you. If you don't like me being here than do whatever the hell you want. I made a promise I wasn't going back without you and I will keep that promise." Cross walked away a good meter and stopped before turning around sitting next to a large gravestone.

"He probably hates me...I mean he has a right to. I'm horrible," She muttered, "And I know he doesn't want to see anyone right now."

Tyr stood up and looked over at Cross.

"Do you know what it is like to live my miserable life? Do you? Because last I've checked, you don't know shit about what I've had to deal with. Do you have a parents Cross? Because I don't. And I never have. The only reason why I am still alive is because Bishop took me in after he found me bleeding and hungry on his fucking doorstep! You know why? Because I lived on these fucking streets till I was eight! I had to fight for food every night. Then after that, I had to earn 20,000 gold so I could go to bard college so I could actually make a living instead of begging for my entire life.

But after that, I thought life was great. I thought that I had reached the lowest point, and got out of it. I married a beautiful woman and had a wonderful little girl. Then, one day the king's men came in and killed them. Gutted my wife in front of me, Cross. She screamed for me to save her. But I couldn't. Then, they killed my daughter. She was five years old. Five, Cross. And they burned her alive. I had to bury them both. And I don't know if you have buried you wife and daughter before, Cross, but it is the most terrible thing you can do.

At that point, I was about to just fucking end it. Until my friend Nate saved me. We traveled with Vayne for about ten years, until what do you know, Nate was killed. Now I can go on, Cross, but frankly, I just want you to go back into the church, and tell Arabelle that I just need some time alone."

(The one that nobody's ever made it too? Like your character said earlier?)
(Alright got it!)

Sepentireon followed Katherine as she ran past him

"How odd of a human..."

The tower was immeasurably tall and pierced the clouds. The only visible entrance was a large crack near the base of it. It seemed more like a clocktower than anything else. Inside, there were wood supports and random trash lying about, though no stairs or ladders
