Fantasy The Random Hotel

Ezekiel continued until he was a few feet away from the water, the cigarette had already been changed with a new one multiple times.

"What can I do for yer' lass?" He slowly turned towards Seven and gave her a meek smile.

"Well I would guess you just wanted to see how I was doing 'eh? Hmh... I'm sorry if you expected me a bit more.. Cheery, Doing exorcism on that scale.. It's exhausting.. But I am alright. So enjoying yourself so far? Hmh.. Well for the time you've been here that is.."

Ezekiel coughed a bit and turned again, with a slow movement he took of his coat and suddenly.. The left wing was normal dark grey and was in a good shape as wings could be. The right burned, broken and cvered in soot, as if it had been lit on fire and had burned instantly.

"Don't mind me.. I need some air for the wing before I try anything.. "

Ezekiel smiled the same meek smile.

"Well... I'm a master at painless stitching, you know... if you need some healing, just ask me, and I'll fix you up." Wydowna replied, placing one of her many arms on Abby's shoulder, and giving a light pat on her back with another.

Seven paused as suddenly Ezekiel spoke and turned to her slowly. "Well I would guess you just wanted to see how I was doing eh? Hmh... I'm sorry if you expected me a bit more cheery, doing exorcism on that scale... It's exhausting... But I am alright. So, enjoying yourself so far? Hmh... Well for the time you've been here that is..." Ezekiel rambled. Seven blinked rapidly. Was her intent that obvious? Wait, did he say exorcism?! After a rather harsh cough, Ezekial turned and shrugged off his coat. Seven's jaw dropped, and for two reasons. His left wing was stunning, with dark grey feathers that looked soft. Seven had to restrain her childlike urge to touch the feathers and test that. The other reason for jaw dropping was the right wing. Or, what used to be the right wing. "Don't mind me. I need some air for the wing before I try anything..."

"Does it hurt?" Seven blurted, stepping closer but restraining herself from instantly fretting. But it looked so painful...

"Thank you very much" Abby smiled again, then caught herself before she ran into a wall. With a short laugh she added "I might need that skill one of these days, If I keep this up... Oh, look." She stopped in front of an odd looking place. "Is this it..."

Emyr was feeling a little embarrassed about the whole situation but went with it since he was curious about the hotel anyway.

"So I honestly have no idea what is around here, by the way my name is Emyr, what's yours? "

Ezekiel looked a bit puzzled at Seven. "Does it hurt? Yeah. It hurts.. I'm used to it, well not really considering my wings are rarely the target for whatever thing that want's to kill me... But yeah.. Eh I can heal.. Although it's not a pretty sight. Considering I don't have the holy powers of an angel. I use the more occult way of regeneration.

Which means I rip, cut or remove whatever body part needs to be regenerated.. Although.. I mean I might still die from doing that. So it's a game of russian roulette really, only difference is I am playing by myself.

Ah heck, I've done it quite a few times. So I am used to it.. Although this is my first time with my wings.. So I don't really know how painful it'll be once I get started.
" Ezekiel took a deep breath after sort of explaining a little about himself. Ezekiel studied Seven again, slowly sitting down on a rock and coughed again. Would she understand what I did? Maybe.. Hmmh..... Well.. She seems like a friendly gal. Then again this is.. Inhumane.. Not that I am really human of course.. There are quite few of those around the hotel.. I think. Ezekiel coughed again but a little harsher. Yeah.. I need a stiff drink.

Ajax chuckled a bit at Malcolm's statements and then said with a grin on his face, "The rune looking things in the sky are called planes? Very interesting indeed. And you said that magic isn't very common here? I was thinking quite the opposite, based on what I've seen since I arrived mere feet from this hotel some time ago... Also, there are weapons that shoot 'shells' the size of men? Is that how people get around so quickly in this world, or do most humans just ride on top of those 'planes'?" Ajax chuckled a bit at his own joke, actually curious to how the humans in this world got around so quickly. He has seen carriages without horses and bolts that shoot through the underground with people inside of them on his trip to the city some time ago. He didn't understand how people got over seas so quickly, he never knew a mode of water transport more quick than a galley, and yet, people in this world seem to be able to easily get over vast bodies of water exponentially quicker than any sailing ship he knew could. Then h began to speak with a grin again, looking at the drink, not recognizing that particular kind of rum, "Well, in this world invention seems to be commonplace, as you said. There are some great inventors in my world, but they tend to put their talents into things that most would consider luxuries in my world. One inventor has been working out the kinks in indoor plumbing for the last two years. For a while I thought the man was wood for putting so much time into something so stupid, but after my visit here, I can completely understand why he used all of the time on figuring that out. And yes indeed, magic is much more common in my world, that's why I find it odd that people would doubt its very existence. Haven't any great sorcerers or wizards come along yet who blew up an entire town or even summoned a rabbit from a cap?.. Anyway, I appreciate the drink, you just made it into my top five favorite employers list, someone surely is swinging for the fences. If you ever has work that needs doing, I'll do my best to assist if the pay suits the risk." Ajax shot his head back as he quickly gulped down the rum. He then said calmly, "God grog, good grog..."

Malcolm chuckled. This guy knew near nothing of earth, and it's great inventions. "Now you mention it, we do not need wizards to blow up towns anymore. We just use one metal cabinet filled with a special kind of metal, and a lot of other technical stuff, then most of the city is gone by detonation. That's what ended humans Second World War." Malcolm gulped down the rum, feeling the warm sensation of alcohol flowing through his digestive system. "And we do have people who make rabbits appear from capes, though people tend to see that as illusions. Luckily I know the truth, I have studied magic for long, though I am only a conjurer, hence my ease of creating spare parts and alike." Malcolm said taking out a small black feather of a raven, and closed his hand around it. Next thing you knew, a trigger fell out of the same hand, but no feather to be seen.

"Anyway, I would love to tell you of my world, but I must get on, and prepare for the travel, I mustn't waste any seconds." His expression changed to one of anger "I must find that beast, that savage, and put a bullet between his eyes." He tugged the handle of his embroidered gun, and almost sneered into the air.

Ajax stared blankly at Malcolm's display of magic, nothing that he hadn't seen before. He was surprised to meet a mage in this frame, however. He had only met one other in his time on earth. Then Ajax said,"The cabinet, I suppose they improved upon gunpowder, sulfur, or blasting jelly? And anyway, a beast? I have slain many a beast. Ogres, giants, werewolves, demon spawn, living gelatinous cubes, skeletons, and many others. Many would call me a slaying specialist. Yet my specialties would rest in other areas, such as pickpocketing." With a grin, Ajax revealed Malcolm's wallet from behind his back. Ajax then placed the wallet onto the couch beside the other items of significance. Ajax began again, "I can help you so long as you don't travel to the other dimension, I cannot go there. These scrolls can only go to two places at a time and mine leads elsewhere... I will charge three fourths of the usual price, now, lets hear it."

Wydo stopped next to Abby, examining the strange building as well. "...Maybe?" She said, stepping forward.

Malcolm nodded, and opened up the scroll. He could feel the power bound to it from the moment he laid eyes on it yet, now it seemed stronger than ever. A shiver went through his spine, and he breathed heavily. He held his breath for a moment, and everything in the room was silent. Then he opened his mouth: "Kah-lem darinake sumoternuri kandalekonu monetari karatomeno del fah-solo nova kantanurisni."

A blast of blue smoke emanated from Malcolm, yellow and green light as well, emanated from his body, and a look of pain strew across his face. His teeth were grinding and soon, the room turned even brighter just before Malcolm disappeared fully, into another world.

Seven frowned, gnawing on her lower lip as she debated what to do. Phyra, could our healing speed the regeneration process? I've never tried, but I don't see why not. Though, maybe you should just stick to his sore throat before you try something so drastic. Also, I'm going to nap or something. Don't do anything stupid, and stop thinking so loud.

"Is there anyway I can help heal you?" Seven paused, and upon seeing that Ezekiel was staring at her, she felt like she should explain herself. "I, uh, I know it's not supposed to be possible for demons to have healing abilities, but somehow I wound up being able to heal people." After hearing him coughing again, she sighed. She walked over and crouched in front of him, and without asking she reached up to gently touch his neck. Heat spread from her fingertips as she began to try and at least heal his sore throat. That isn't a thing that can be chopped off and regenerated, so it should work, right? Seven stared blankly at where her fingers pressed to his skin, sighing through her nose. This may feel a bit warm..."

Ezekiel's expresson was a bit comedical surprise. He slowly placed a hand on his throat and smiled. "Well that helped with all the chanting I did. Thanks Seven." Ezekiel sighed and looked at his arm. "Well I guess I can show you... Now.. Exorcism of this is.. Different than what you've probably heard.. And maybe know about.. This Hex fella'.. He was different.. The object he placed at Sha'tana's bed was a black rose.. And you couldn't move it.. Actually.. it was sealed.. And incredibly powerful seal too.. So I did what she asked and removed it from her room." Ezekiel took the bandage which had been soaked in blood off his right foream. On inner side of the forearm the black rose was tattooed on it a perfect copy carved into the flesh.. And it was glowing a faint red color. "It's... Not like what I've seen before.. I do wish to meet this Hex Fella one day if possible.. But I don't know.. He left Sha'tana.. And leaving a black rose.. Usually doesn't mean one returns.." Ezekiel studied the tattoo. "As I finished I did the exorcism and the original wilted.. It's.. Soul? Power? I don't know was drawn into the tattoo like a mouse to a trap. What to do with it I don't know.. " Ezekiel sighed and looked back to Seven and smiled. "Thanks again. Now.. I want you to go a bit away and turn around.. I really need to fix my wing.. And yeah it's not really a sight for any living or undead being."

"You're welcome," Seven said, stuffing her hands into the pockets of her zippered sweater. "Well I guess I can show you..." Ezekiel began. Seven watched him as he began to explain the exorcism he had done, and removed the bandages from his right forearm. Upon his inner forearm a black rose was tattooed, glowing a faint red color. Seven frowned. What the... He went on to explain how it had gotten on his arm, and the smiled a bit. "Thanks again. Now. I want you to go a bit away and turn around. I really need to fix my wing. And yeah it's not really a sight for any living or undead being."

"Even if that's an order, no. I doubt you could scar me more than I already have been," Seven stated calmly, crossing her arms.

Ajax looked over at the blue dust that was left in Malcolm's wake and then shrugged. Ajax said to himself, dissapoined, "Forgot to tell him to put down a tarp. Now he's going to come back to a dusty room, how sad. Well, see you later." Ajax quickly scribbled a note on a nearby pad saying that if he needed help with anything in the future, that he would still probably be around. Ajax walked out of the room and went back to his. He tore away his heavily damaged armor and then laid down for a well deserved rest.

Ezekiel sighed, "Very well." Ezekiel stood up again. With a snap of his fingers his broken wing went up in flames, it was clearly painful. "Ngh.. Cauterize and clean.." A few seconds passed and the only thing left was bones. "Alright.. Three, two-" With a forceful movement, Ezekiel had grabbed and ripped the bone out of his body,

*Craaacklcck..* Ezekiel fell to his knees. "Crapsicle..." With a slow movement had Ezekiel begun making a circle in the sand. The.. Wing that he had ripped out slowly turned to dust. "Zeka, sul, namee, Dars." Ezekiel spoke slowly. A purple aura surrounds him and the circle. Ezekiel sat down in the middle of it. "Now it's just the waiting game.. As soon as it begins it'll be painful. So Yeah.. Where did you come from Seven?"

Seven blinked a few times and shook her head. "Well, that was attractive," She stated sarcastically. She made herself more comfortable in the sand outside the circle and sighed. "Where did I come from? Well, I myself came from a small province in France. Where specifically, I can't remember. It's been too long, and honestly I'd rather not remember. Phyra came from Hell. She won't tell me specifically where from though. I know she remembers though... Where are you from, Angel Boy?"

Ezekiel nodded carefully and tilted his head when Seven asked him where he came from. "Considering I am one of the first generation Nephilim. The correct answer would be heaven. But we were thrown out for being abominations.. Only thanks to god's apparently kindness, were we not killed outright that day.. Personally I would say I come from Limbo, the purgatory the place between nothing and everything. You get it." Ezekiel winced in pain as bones began to protude outwards on his back. "Nhmm... I have lived in purgatory for quite a long time, it was there I learned the forbidden arts of the occultism. Necromancy and dark arts. Although at a cost.. Well not really.." Ezekiel removed his shirt and threw it over to the coat, his body was covered in mystical and ancient runes, sigils, wards and markings. "Learning from the mute watchers in purgatory is diffcult.. You have to bargain with them... Be it secrets, souls or your own body as a experiment." Ezekiel smiled a bit. "And in the end this have saved my life countless of times."

Seven wanted to reach out and possibly dim the pain Ezekiel was feeling from his wings regrowing, but she wasn't sure what this circle of glowing purple light would do, so instead she laced her fingers together and nodded as he spoke. And then, of course, he took his shirt off. Of course. Seven had a full view of the markings tattooed upon his skin, though she had a feeling it wasn't tattooed there. She tore her gaze from his markings as he smiled at her upon finishing his explanation. "So, what did your trade then, Ezekiel?" Seven then cringed. "Or don't answer that, that's rather personal... Sorry."

Ezekiel bit his own tongue as the flesh slowly followed suit of the wing. He took a deep breath and spoke a little bit lower. "I traded everything.. My past, my present and my future. My life is a service to the watchers of the purgatory. Although the contract is nearing it's end.. What will happen to me.. I don't know.." Ezekiel made a light shrug, which he shouldn't have done since his expression turned painful again. "Ngh.. Alright.. Stupid, anyway.." Ezekiel looked up and studied Seven again. "Personal? Huh.. You shouldn't worry about that lass. I got nothing to hide. Every secret I have, have already been spilled in Limbo." Ezekiel gave Seven a meekly smile, while at times he winced in pain as the wing slowly but surely regenerated.

Seven gauged Ezekiel's tone and expressions as he spoke, and it was pretty easy to tell that he was in great pain. Especially when he shrugged. Seven frowned. What, was he trying to pretend this wasn't hurting him? Was he trying to put on a tough facade? Well, it certainly wasn't working. She wasn't fooled. Seven let her frown fall away into a blank expression as Ezekiel looked up at her. She watched as his eyes intently stared at her, and felt suddenly uncomfortable. Why does he keep looking at me like that? And what's with calling me "lass"? Seven pursed her lips as Ezekiel kept wincing as his wing began to heal back into existence. "...Is there anyway I can help, Angel?"

Ezekiel looked a bit surprised at Seven. "Help? Well you can do that magic thing on my back.. Just don't touch the wing.. Well I have no clue what would happen.. I mean.. You are the first to see this and actually ask if you could help.. Ehhh... " Ezekiel sighed and smiled at her. "I mean.. What's the worst that can happen?" He winced in pain again. "Yeah.. And don't worry about the purple aura or the circle. It's just one to hasten the process.. Nothing big.. " He smiled.. Another weak smile. "So.. What do you think of the hotel so far?" Ezekiel tried to change topic a little and perhaps start a conversation. Heck most have a reason even unknown to come here to this hotel in the middle of nowhere..

"Water is water," Caspian replied. He laid on the couch and dipped his hand in the cup of water. When he felt his skin begin to prickle with scales, he took off his shorts. His legs mended together as one. The scales on his skin matched the color of his hair with darker shades of blue. "Tada!" One hand waved in the air enthusiastically while the other remained the cup touching the water. "I'm a harsh critic," he warned.

Once given the go-ahead, and told that the glowly circle of light wouldn't do anything to her, Seven got up and moved to sit behind Ezekiel. Carefully, she placed her hands upon his bare back and heat left her hands as she tried to ease the pain of his back. She contemplated his question as she warmed her hands.

"How do I like the hotel? Well, I haven't really been here long enough to form an opinion... But I guess it's nice. I mean, the people I've met so far have been generally nice. Which I'm not really used to. So I like the hotel plenty well, but it's weird to adjust to," Seven admitted. Why am I being so honest? I'm acting like I trust him! But, I do somehow. Way to go Seven, trust someone you barely know wholeheartedly. Seven shook her head and sighed. "You seem to be good friends with Ms. Sha'tana. I'm guessing you've been here before? What do you feel about the hotel?"
