Fantasy The Random Hotel

Jaiden sat on her bed wide eyed with her mouth hanging open. She tried speaking but they only came out as gutteral sounds. She sat like that for a bit longer, and finally stood up once the shock wore off. For the first time since entering the hotel, she felt all of her nerves melt away. A smile stretched across her face. She was ecstatic. Most people would freak out or run but she was ecstatic. A merman was sitting on the couch of her hotel room! A merman!

"Oh my god I feel like I'm six again!" she yipped, jumping up and down "You're. A. Merman. A Merman." She laughed then calmed herself down. "I don't need to say this, I mean, you already know. You're the merman!" she paused and thought for a bit "Do unicorns exist too? how about Pegasus? Pegasus-es? Pegasi? What's plural for Pegasus? N-nevermind. It's not important." She paused for a few more moments to take deep breaths and picked her paint supplies up. With a deep breath, she started painting, pausing only to ask the occasional question and try for conversation. Finally after a few hours of work, she presented it to Caspian.

"What do you think? I tried hard to capture your majesty and...well...I like your face?"

((I'll let you decide how good the actual painting is xD ))

Ezekiel sighed out of relief.. "Thanks.. " Although the moment of relief stopped a little to soon as the featheres grew out..Ezekiel turned his head and stared confused.. The new feathers were a much darker shade of grey to the point of being jet black. "Eh... Curious.."

Ezekiel shook his head and thought about Seven's question..

"Yeah I've been here before many times.. I have had normal vacation, then suddenly Sha'tana needed help and then I helped her and well it went on from there to some minor favors and the random need for helps I'm like a freelance specialist that works for Sha'tana in a way... So I'm occasionally here for longer period of times, the hotel is in a way my off-duty place."

Ezekiel gazed out towards the sea and slowly looked back to the circle.

"How do I feel about it? Well it's free for everyone to come. I mean it still costs for some stuff and all of that.. But no matter if you're a human or a walking corpse or even a minor dragon. The hotel usually has a room for everyone. And well I like it here, although it can be dangerous? The hotel is a hotspot for all the different planes of power, be it hell or heaven or a realm of ice. Their eyes always strafe by the hotel."

Ezekiel slowly moved the wing as the last few feathers had appeared. Certainly sore yeah.. But it feels better.. Huh.. A vessel who can use healing magic.. That is ... Unique? Ezekiel smiled; "Yeah.. I think that was it.. Still hurts a bit, but that should be over soon."

"Eh... Ezekiel? Do your feathers get darker every time you regenerate them? Or were they always grey?" Seven asked as new feathers grew out. He didn't seem to hear her and continued on to answer her questions regarding Sha'tana and the hotel. So... Sha'tana is a friend and an employer... Huh. Ezekiel then mentioned how the hotel was a hotspot. Heaven, Hell, and other assorted realms are all accessible to the hotel, and therefore vice versa. Well, no wonder it's dangerous. Ezekiel suddenly moved his wing and his feathers brushed her arm. Her eyes widened. They were soft! She realized Ezekiel was smiling again.

"Yeah... I think that was it... Still hurts a bit, but that should be over soon." Seven nodded and took her hands away from his back, taking the warmth with her. Hopefully the numbing continues until it fully heals. That'd be bad if he thought he was fine, and then I just took that away.

"
So, now you just go on with day to day things after that? What about that tattoo taboo? And did I seriously just say that?" Seven asked, but trailed off into muttering for the last sentence. Tattoo taboo.... what am I, a demonic Dr. Suess? Seven stood and walked back around to be in front of Ezekiel, settling herself down again and awaiting his reply.

@Sigismund

Ezekiel slowly turned to Seven and looked at the wing. "Ehh It's my first time regenerating my wings.. I have a spell that in a way hides them. As you've probably seen before. I mean normally it shouldn't change color.. I am not up for experimenting it on my other wing, it really hurts.."

Ezekiel tilted his head and showed a puzzled expression.

"Tattoo taboo? I wouldn't really call any of these markings for tattoos.. Well I mean they are tattoos.. But ehh it's more work related.. Tattoos, I guess? Hmmh.. I honestly don't know.. Some of these I don't know, but I do try and learn about them when I can while some of the other ones, like the seal on my back.. They work like shields in a sort.. There are quite many different markings, sigils, runes and whatnot. These work like enchantments to a weapon or as a spell infused in a scroll. Some of these protect me from different magic, others hampers my pain receptors on certain wounds and all of that.."

Eh.. I guess that is what there is to be said about my ... Tattoos? I guess they are technically called that. Tatto taboo.. Heh.. Right. Ezekiel stood up and flexed the wings again. "And thanks again Seven.. Interesting healing power really."

He laughed at her reaction towards him. It surprised him how pleasantly she took in his appearance. Caspian sat still to the best of his abilities and answered Jaiden's questions, "Anything you can think of... It exists. Only here though" He was referring to the hotel. He wiggled his eye brows, "Nothings better than a Merman."

Jaiden set her finished painting down and sat next to Caspian on the couch. "I have to wonder though, what is place? I came in looking for somewhere to stay the night and ended up meeting a merman...Not that that's a bad thing"

She paused and placed the back of her hand above where Caspian's knee would would be, feeling the scales and marveling at their texture. Moments ago, she was the most calm she had ever been since arriving, but now she could feel her heartbeat pick up again. It felt like she was a little girl in middle school sitting face to face with her crush. She really didn't know what was so alluring about him. Was it his mysterious background? His raw charisma? His devilish good looks? Or a maybe combination of all of those features. Whatever it was, she was under his spell. "The thing is" she said "I-I'm really glad it turned out this way. I mean you turned what was supposed to be just another stay at a hotel into something spectacular. Magical even. And I'm really greatful for that, honest."

Caspian smiled when she placed her hand on his lap. It was a very cocky smile. Man, she talks a lot... He chuckled in his head. Finally, it seemed her talking has come to a stop,"Want this to be really magical?" He didn't bother to let her answer. He removed his hand from the cup of water and cupped her face. He kissed her without hesitation. His lips clung to her bottom lips and then he switched to the top. With his body out of contact of water, he'd be a naked human in a few minutes. This is going to be fun... Caspian thought as he ran his hand through her short hair. It felt odd. He felt like he was touching his own hair, but on an other body. His other hand decided to mingle with her bottom to make up for her lack of hair.

"You haven't regenerated your wings before?! And you just did that on a whim?!" Seven exclaimed. She swatted Ezekiel's good shoulder. "That's is so stupidly dangerous! Hell, Angel Boy!" She sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. Ezekiel stood and stretched his wings, which of course looked pretty majestic in her opinion. She got to her feet and nodded. "Not a problem. And when I said tattoo taboo, I didn't mean this;" she gestured with a flat palm at his marked chest and back. She then grabbed his hand and turned his arm wrist-out to look at the red-glowing rose. "I meant this. What are you going to do about this?" @Sigismund

"What? How is it dangerous? I've tried regenerating much worse wounds. And now I know how it, eh feels like. So I'll be better next time if there ever is one.."

Ezekiel shook his head lightly. His face was mixed as surprise and puzzlement as Seven grabbed his hand and turned to show the black rose.

"What am I going to do with it? Well first of, I'll study it.. See the lore and history behind it if possible.. The library of the hereafter holds every knowledge of the different planes. If I find something about the rose.. I'll either continue my research to find a way to remove it completetly.. Or I might tell Sha'tana about it.. Depends on what knowledge I dig up. If I do not find anything.. I'll just stop my research on it. It's a death-mark for all I know. But the black rose doens't mean death to the person it is given to. It means the person giving it is going to die or atleast never return.. Well.. That is my theory, atleast. In any case, if I do not find what I need this thing is permanently stuck to me. And for now.. Nothing is happening? I mean it glows yeah. But so can my other markings.. Well some of them."

Ezekiel moved over and picked up his coat. With a snap of his fingers, disappeared his wings slowly, as if they were retracting into him and yet just vanished in the air.

Ezekiel took the coat on. "Anyway, I think we should head back to the hotel. 'Aight?"

@Cuddly Kraken

"It's dangerous because you've never done it before. And you just said 'to hell with it', and ripped your wing off! Hell, Zeke, you're going to give me a heartattack," Seven muttered, running her free hand through her hair and sighing. Ezekiel went on to explain what he actually planned on doing with this rose marking, and Seven shook her head with a smirk. "You're oddly calm about this whole thing. If I weren't convinced otherwise, I'd say you wanted a rose tattoo." Ezekiel pulled his arm away to pick up his coat and Seven frowned as his wings slowly vanished into thin air, or into his back really. She couldn't really tell which, but it was like a mixture of both. Damn, I wanted to touch them... Weird, Seven, you're being weird. Very weird. Stop wanting to grope his feathers... I just made it so much worse by saying that... Ezekiel broke her out of her thoughts by suggesting they return to the hotel.

Seven sighed. "Yeah, good idea." She brushed by him to head towards the hotel, and on her way past she said, "By the way, you look better with your wings out and shirt off, Angel."

"Oh don't worry.. As long as my contract stands." Ezekiel pointed out a evil looking hand with an eye in it marking right on his left chest. "I'll be ressurected at Limbo Although that is by far a much worse experience than ripping my wings off."

Ezekiel suddenly grinned to that. "Not that it's a fun deal anyhow." Ezekiel leisurely moved towards the hotel again, slowly but surely following Seven. "Better? Well I wouldn't know. I just believe most, even non-human people are going to be scared by these markings. Some of these would outright kill a lesser demon if they saw them.. And wings aren't that practical in a building, ya' know? I mean I like the feeling.. It's a mix of freefalling and loss of gravity at the same time. But yeah.. Practicality versus excitement and fun? I don't know Seven."

Ezekiel shrugged, although his smile never faded. Hmh.. Lovely.. Ezekiel thought and hummed a small tune as they continued towards the hotel.

Jaiden was caught off guard at how sudden the kiss was, but that was not to say she didn't enjoy it. Pure euphoria coursed through her veins as she retaliated every kiss with passion. Clawing, grasping, feeling, her hands danced across his chest and abdomen, exploring every contour. She let out a small moan as she pulled back and lightly bit Caspian's ear lobe, barely scraping her teeth against it then trailed kisses along his cheek before reaching his mouth again. She paused, panting for air and pulled back. Her heart was fluttering, a bird trying to escape its cage. "This...isn't this a little fast?" She paused to take a breath "This great, but I don't know..."

Seven shook her head with a smirk at his long-winded reply. "You know, most people just say 'thank you' when complimented instead of going on a rant to rebuke it. But your rambling habit is pretty cute, Angel. Though really, you don't need to explain everything. I'm not as stupid as I look," Seven teased, glancing over her shoulder. "If you're so convinced that people will be put off by your marks, then you may want to button up your jacket. You're kinda showing off your chest."

"Egh... Thank you." Ezekiel scratched his head, sighed and continued to speak. "It's like when I met Artemis.. It's... Unusual for me to socialize with.. Hmh.. Other than the completetly damned. As in those in purgatory." Eh... Right.. I wonder why she still calls me angel... Humph..

Ezekiel looked down and buttoned up his coat. "Yeah.. I forgot that.. I do have a shirt there around ninety nine percent of the time."

Ezekiel hastened his pace and got besides Seven.

"So, Could you tell me more about.. Why you became a vessel.. And well.. Maybe why Phyra?" He asked slowly. It's a difficult question sure.. But.. I am curious.. It's rare for.. Vessels, well atleast those I have met to actually.. Not try and kill me. Ezekiel; As they reached the hotel, held the door open for Seven. "Well.. Unless you don't know or don't want to talk about it,.. I know that it could be.. Private information."

Seven noticed that Ezekiel had hastened his pace to walk beside her. And then he dropped the bomb.

"So... could you tell me more about why you became a vessel? And well, maybe, why Phyra?" Seven froze at the unexpected question, even as he held the door and added, "Well, unless you don't know or don't want to talk about it... I know that it could be private information."

In a split second, Seven made a choice. Brushing past him, she grabbed his hand and headed for the stairs. She lead him up to her room (#666, she remembered) and pulled him within. It was clean, well made, and had nothing to distinguish that the room was hers for the time being. She had nothing unpacked, as she hadn't had anything with her upon coming to the hotel, and it was pristine to the point of being brand new. Well, because it was. She hadn't even been in her room herself before this instance. Speaking of which, Seven let go of Ezekiel's hand and sat upon the edge of the bed. She sighed through her nose.

"Your question... It's hard for me to talk about why I became a Vessel and why I agreed to vessel Phyra. Because it requires me telling you about my childhood and adolescence. But, I'll tell you. Hell only knows why, but I will. You might want to sit down, this'll take awhile... I grew up in an abusive family. Where specifically, I can't remember, since this had to be centuries or more ago. It was a bad situation to grow up in. I was the youngest of seven, hence the pun of my name. I was constantly bossed around, and used as an emotional and physical punching bag. My parents were the worst; my dad was drunk all the time, and my mom was a drug abuser, and my some of my siblings followed in their footsteps. My brother, we called him Red, died when I was about five due to a combination of the two. Certainly didn't help with the whole abuse thing, because apparently his death was my fault.

"This went on for a long time. But when I was... I can't remember how old I was, but I hit my dad back one day..." Seven recalled. She laughed bitterly. "Stupid idea considering I was such a weakling. But then Phyra showed up and punched the -sshole through the wall and down two stories. He landed on his head and snapped his neck. Can't say I missed him. Phyra set the house on fire, for reasons I'm still not 100% sure about, but I believe it was to kill my remaining family members... She kept me safe, and we made a deal; when I was ready, I would become a Vessel to her. And so I went on with being educated, and when I was through I was at a lost. I couldn't go to college, and a job wasn't an option... But I still stuck it out for 8 more years before becoming a Vessel. I went through deep sh-t during those 8 years. But, the worse was when I first became a Vessel. I met others like me, and it was great for awhile. I... There was this guy named Caleb. We were best friends, for over 60 years. But... they died..." Seven trailed off, her voice breaking. She bowed her head and tried to pull herself together as a few tears fell. "Allow me to finish the story. - thanks Phyra. - of course, baby girl.

"So, this Caleb guy. He was everything you could want in a friend; kind, honest, funny, and understood her situation being that he was a Vessel too. A shadow demon I think. Seven here fell in love with him. Not like that "lemme have your babies" kinda love, but... well, y'know. She just loved this guy. But, Caleb decided to get engaged to some other chick. A Vessel with a succubus demon inside. Which, I think you can guess what he saw appealing about her. Certainly wasn't her personality, I can tell ya that. Anyway, Seven was put off by this obviously. Her best friend, getting down and dirty with some other chick and planning to marry her cause she was good at it. Then... Sh-t, even I got trouble talking about this part. Basically, the Vessel species was suddenly and violently killed off. Except for Seven and me. We survived the attack on our kind. I still don't know if that's a blessing or a curse. But what really came as a kick to the gut was when Seven, all distraught, was holding Caleb's dying body, and ya know what he said? 'Tell Helen I love her'. What person says that kinda thing?! Nobody, I tell you, nobody with a heart.

"So, Caleb died in her arms, she's still really devastated about it, we're the last of the Vessels, Seven blames herself, and we're trying not to die and go extinct. A bit hard, innit? Not dying. Well, upside of it is that I'm a Greater Demon. Hard as Hell to kill us, I can tell you that. You know that, dontcha? You got experience in Purgatory, you should know.
- Phyra, I think he gets the point... - right, sorry. Alright, can I go back to napping now? - Yeah, thanks...

"So, that's why I became a Vessel, and why I'm Vesseling Phyra. She's looked out for me for so long... She's like a mother, and a best friend, and a sister all in one. So... Yeah, I guess now I'm the one who's rambling..." Seven trailed off, tucking her legs up to her chest and averted her eyes with an embarrassed blush.

Ezekiel was clearly confused when Seven suddenly pulled him with her. As they reached her room and entered it.. Ezekiel waited for Seven to explain. He listened carefully, although not when she told him to sit down. He nodded and at kept listening until Seven and Phyra finished their story. Incredible... I.. Hmmh... Well.. I owe her that much? Right..

Ezekiel slowly sat down on the other edge of the bed and looked at Seven. "Seven... Phyra.."

Ezekiel said.. Was that a glitch in my voice?..

He shook his head and continued speaking. "I.. You know what.. I'll just say it as it is.. From the beginning to now." Ezekiel stood up again and stared at Seven. "I am one of the first nephilim, we were many in the beginning. Soon we were hunted.. We could do nearly nothing.. Without as much power as an angel, we were playthings for demons.. Abominations for angels.. Soon we fell in great masses.. The few of us alive took drastic meassures. Some went to hell to mix their blood with a neutral demon.. Become a titan as I call them.. A creature of pure evil... Others went to heaven and served as.. Slaves... In a way, no angel would call them slaves.. But sinners seeking redemption.. Psh.. And others took to hiding between the humans.. But no matter what.. It didn't stop them.. Purgatory.. It's... The greatest challenge... No one returns from purgatory pure.. You can go to hell with a quest.. A crusade.. And come back as a noble hero.. You can go to heaven and speak with the wise angels for knowledge.. And return with a fresh spirit.. But purgatory.. Damnation, limbo." Ezekiel looked at the ground and sighed before he started to speak again. "I was the only of the few left, that dared to go there.. Why? Well in the beginning.. I wasn't afraid to die.. My race was extinct.. Hell it's probably extinct too.. Those few I kew were alive, have I lost contact with. So I ventured there.. Not fearing death... I learned to embrace it." Ezekiel reached under his coat and magically pulled a tattered, burned book and handed it to Seven. "It is blank for mortal eyes.. but in that book is everything I am saying right now. It shows my sketches from my youth and time during there.. Every creature that haunted me and attempted to kill me.. But unlike my siblings.. While not afraid of death.. I knew I was not ready to die.. Not until I finished what I needed to do. Many years went... I honed my body.. The hunted became the hunter.. And one day.. They saw me.. The oracles of the dead... The few.. Inhabitants of purgatory that doesn't want to kill you from the start.. They saw potential in me.. A bloody scarred nephilim.. Ready to do anything.. And they made me do everything... Two millennium... I served in Purgatory.. My title in it is the knight of the fallen.. I am the apex among the creatures.. But that is ever-changing.. New monsters are born every single day there.. Some weak.. Some powerful.. But I kept getting stronger.. And one day.. I learned how to move like the oracles.. Who had revealed themselves to me.. They are... Soul watchers.. Think of the Grim Reaper.. And then ten times more powerful.. But.. 'Stuck' They cannot and never will leave Purgatory.. It's their home.. Their kingdom.. They learned me one power.. Waygates.. To all the realms." Ezekiel knelt down and placed a hand on Seven's knee. "..I will say I am sorry for what comes next... " He stood back up again and looked out of the window. "I first moved to terra.. Or Earth as it is called.. There I found those nephilim, that I've lost connection to now.. I helped them to defend themselves better.. And afterwards.. I moved to hell.. There I met the arch-demon Baal.. He as one of the very few arch-demons.. Remains neutral, unless Lucifer commands them to jump.. Then they'll ask how high.. " Ezekiel unbottomed his coat again and showed his left shoulder. A mark of a slayer of demon hordes. "Baal.. He commands 66th legions.. Fewer than most other arch-demons. So what was the best way to get stronger? Slay other legions and let his demons consume their flesh to gain their powers.. Now.. There are many demons.. But.. One of the most powerful.. Were the vessels.. A demon in a human body? The symbiosis.. They both would get more powerful over time until they.. Matured? Few vessels could get so powerful they could rival lesser arch-demons.." Ezekiel sighed.. "And well.. If one can survive purgatory.. They can pretty much survive anywhere else.. So I went to war... Against your race.... I killed them.." Ezekiel had moved back to the window and opened it to let some air in.. "I murdered every single vessel or soul demon. Be it child or adult.. That.. Was my deal with Baal.. He would give me a greater part of his powers.. Uncorrupted.. For me to kill an entire legion.. And so I did.. My contract to the soul watchers still stood.. And.. Well.. Every dead vessel was two souls for them to feast on in purgatory.. So at the heart of your... Legion.. I died my first death... In a blue fire that created the mourning crater.. I was resurrected.. And moved back to hell.. Baal's demons tried to kill me.. And well after finishing them off.. Baal held his word.. That is where I learned the purifiying hellfire..." Ezekiel's arm turned ablaze in the blue fire. "... And since then.. I've lived my life... Serving.. But soon.. My ties are servered.. And what then? I don't know.. My life is gone already.. I've died many times over.. I've lived for milleniums.. And.. I've killed entire races..." Ezekiel sat on the window his back towards the outside.. His wings the grey one and the dark one visible again.. "And honestly.... I've given up."

Ezekiel sighed.. "I'm a dead man walking, Seven.. The question just remains on who wants to be the executioner.." Ezekiel looked back to Seven. " I am a monster.... And what I've done can never be forgotten or forgiven.." Ezekiel looked depressed, broken and like if he had seen death again.. "Sorry... But.. When I.. Killed the Vessels.. I saw you.... You were different.. You didn't seek power, Phyra.. You sought to defend Seven.. And Seven.. Your souls was pure.. It was not mixed completetly and controlled by Phyra.. It was.. Different.. When you were crying over Caleb... I was behind you.. I... Watched you.. And well.. I should have left you with that book... You needed to know who you should have revenge on.. And well.. If you still wish to see redemption for your race..." Ezekiel raised his hands and looked down from the window to the dirt far below the room.. "I will not avoid it.. I've become strong enough to deny the soul watchers.... Maybe not to best them.. But I will certainly end my life in purgatory.." Ezekiel smiled meekly to Seven.

Seven listened to Ezekiel intently, almost fascinated by what he was telling her. Wow... I never knew that about nephilim... The poor things... Seven released her hug-like grip on her knees and opted to sitting cross-legged. He continued to speak, telling her of his species extinction. He handed her a book, telling her what was inside. She flipped open to a random page and viewed the sketches of his life. They were a bit sloppy at first, but grew sharper and more detailed as she continued to flip through. Suddenly, Ezekiel knelt and placed a hand upon her knee. She looked up, confused. "I will say I am sorry for what comes next... " Seven tilted her head questioningly as he stood and removed his coat to show her his marked shoulder. And then he admitted. "Baal... He commands 66th legions... Fewer than most other arch-demons. So what was the best way to get stronger? Slay other legions and let his demons consume their flesh to gain their powers.. Now, there are many demons. But, one of the most powerful were the vessels.. A demon in a human body? The symbiosis... They both would get more powerful over time until they... Matured? Few vessels could get so powerful they could rival lesser arch-demons." Seven wasn't listening anymore. He had killed them. This man, who she had just trusted with her past, was the reason of her misery. She stared blankly at the book in her hands, trying to get past the sickening feeling rising in her throat. No... No, he couldn't have... He couldn't have done this, not Ezekiel, not Angel boy... No... "When I killed the Vessels... I saw you... You were different. You didn't seek power, Phyra. You sought to defend Seven. And Seven... Your soul was pure. It was not mixed completely and controlled by Phyra. It was... Different. When you were crying over Caleb... I was behind you... I... Watched you... And, well... I should have left you with that book... You needed to know who you should have revenge on."

"Revenge sounds lovely right now," Phyra hissed. Seven's black eyes widened. If one were to look closely, they would see cracks appearing among the black, like lava splitting through rock. "Ezekiel, run. Run, now, befo-" Seven cut off with a pained scream, falling off the bed and releasing the book. "Phyra, you pissed her off! I can't control her! GAAAH! Run you idiot!" She looked up, her black eyes now consumed by the fire, and slowly the fire began to spread. "RUN!"

Ezekiel smiled. "I.. I'm sorry.." Ezekiel stared as the fire moved.. "But Phyra... Seven.. You both must know.. What I did.. I wish I could turn back time and stop myself.. I can't.. nobody can... I already wish I could have done differently.. I wish I could just tell you... It's my fault.. I know... I wish I could do anything.. " Ezekiel shook his head.. "And if that means.. I'll die.. I'll die.." Ezekiel produced a small crystal like metal out of the air with the blue flames.. "I break my contract by blood.. I will damn my soul for eternity.. And I shall be hunted by the minions of the Soul watchers.." Ezekiel stabbed himself through the tattoo that were the contract. "..And I hope you can forgive me.. Phyra.." Ezekiel threw the dagger away and wrapped his arms around Seven.. And with a single backwards jump, he leaped through with Seven, through the window. They feel into a portal which transported them even higher in the air.. "I.. I never told you.. But while you two were out in the world.. I followed.. I was a shadow.. Helping all the time when I could.. I did anything I could do to make sure you two survived.." His wings wrapped around Seven as his body turned into a blue fireball. "I'm sorry... I am so sorry..." Ezekiel tightened his grip around Seven. "I know you cannot forgive me..... I know... But please.. Try.." With a loud bang they hit the ground.. Breaking through it.. Like glass?.. Around them.. A dark.. Cold world surrounded them.. "This is my home... Purgatory.. Like I've said.. I die here.. Your flames may burn my skin.. But my death is my own.... I'm sorry... Seven.."

Ezekiel crashed into the stone with his back.. A loud crack.. And silence.. "...I.." His wings slowly moved away from Seven.. "The book.. Just ..Destroy it.. Forget me.. Use it to create a last waygate and go.. Heaven doesn't want me.. Hell wants me only for their own power... I just hoped.." He breathed out and in slower and slower. "I.. Don't know.. Heck.... I'm just a dead man dying.... Just.. Forget about me Phyra.. Revenge.. It was already done.. I'm just a broken shell.. Just.. A object.. F***... .. In the end.... I lived a life in solitude.. I rarely spoke with people.. And only as little as possible.. Long talks to bore them.. Short talks to annoy them... I've lived far longer than I should have... And.. Yeah... I just... Wanted to be with someone.. And now look at me.. An old fool speaking with a girl.. Whose even more pure than him.. I'm damned.. And whatever is left of me will be tortured for eternity.." Ezekiel stared into the nothingness. "So.. Seven..... End me.. Does it matter? No one breaks a contract with the watchers and live.. So.. Do what you want Phyra.. I am not afraid.. But.. I am afraid.. That I would be leaving you alone in this world.." Ezekiel reached for his pocket and raised it to Seven.. "Whatever you do with it I don't care... But please.. Just accept this.." He opened his hand and placed the object in hers.. "..Cheerio.. Lass.." Ezekiel closed his eyes and awaited his fate.

Seven gaped in horror as Ezekiel stabbed himself, breaking the contract, and yelped as he pulled her up into his arms... and then threw himself backwards out the window. In her shock, Seven released control of Phyra. But Phyra herself was no longer trying to fight, instead she was attempting to stop the falling. Seven struggled to free her arms, hardly listening to what Ezekiel was saying. But he caught her attention upon wrapping his wings around her and saying, "I... I never told you... But while you two were out in the world... I followed. I was a shadow. Helping all the time when I could. I did anything I could to make sure you two survived." Seven froze. He... He had protected us? But... why? How could he have followed us without me knowing? I... I don't understand. As Ezekiel's back hit the ground, it shattered like glass and they fell through into darkness. "This is my home... Purgatory... Like I've said, I die here. Your flames may burn my skin. But my death is my own... I'm sorry... Seven..." They hit the ground. A loud crack. Silence. Ezekiel's wings fell away from her slowly and Seven pushed herself, leaning her elbows on Ezekiel's chest. She realized his blood had smeared on her sweater but couldn't find it in her to give a damn. It was growing harder to hear full sentences as Ezekiel's breath grew less frequent. "The book... Destroy it... Forget me... Use it to create a last waygate and go... I'm just a dead man dying... Forget about me Phyra... Revenge... It was already done... F***... In the end... I just... Wanted to be with someone... And now look at me... An old fool speaking with a girl, who's even more pure than him... I'm damned... Seven... End me. Do what you want Phyra. I am not afraid... But... I am afraid... That I would be leaving you alone in this world..." Ezekiel reached for his pocket and raised it to Seven.. "Whatever you do with it I don't care... But please... Just accept this... Cheerio... Lass..."

"Ezekiel... Ezekiel, no, wake up. You are not going to die on me, you idiot! What did you do?!" Seven sat up so she was straddling his hips and stared at what he had handed her... It was a photo. Baffled, she peered closer, rubbing her thumb over the ash covering the the rectangular photograph. Squinting, she made out nine figures; One man, one woman, five boys, and four girls. All but one had their face burned away. She peered at the one face that wasn't burned away... Her. It was Seven. Black eye, split lip, crooked smile and all, clutching her teddy bear. Shocked, Seven looked down to Ezekiel. Horrified, she saw that the handprint contract was fading. "No, nonono, get up!" She placed her hand over the marking... her handprint fit perfectly atop the marking. She placed her other hand atop that one and closed her eyes, willing herself not to cry. She pushed as much warmth into her hands and into him, fighting off his coming death. The amount of magic she was pouring into this wound, into his entire body and soul, would no doubt end up damaging her own life essence. Again, she couldn't bring herself to give a damn. She hadn't realized she had started crying until a tear fell upon her on hand. It was black. Since when did she cry black tears. "You idiot, don't you dare die on me. If you hadn't noticed, I can't leave you even if I wanted to, because I left your book in my hotel room. But... I don't want to leave anyway. Not until you're okay. Please... Please be okay..."

For a moment Ezekiel was silent.. He slowly opened one eye. "Am.. I dead yet?"

He placed a hand over Seven's where his marking were. "...God.. I feel like I got the worst.. Hangover ever in my life... I.. Sheit..." Ezekiel carefully with a few minor yelps of pain sat leaning up against a rock. "Well... I.. I guess you are not going to kill me then..? I.. Hmmh.. Thanks." He breathed slowly but steadily again. With a grip he took her hand away from his wound. "It's alright.. Seven. It's alright. I'm going to be alive. For a while more that's it.." Ezekiel by sheer will alone stood up again and pointed to a blue light quite a while away. "The soul keepers are coming for me. Seven.. I'll be fine.. I know this world better than you, so I ask you this once and only.. That is go back."

Ezekiel took some of the blood that was running from his wound and drew a circle.

"Go into this and get back to the hotel. Go to my room.. And." Ezekiel handed her a key. "Open the trunk with this key.. In there is a small chest.. You need to burn it.. Don't listen to the screams.. Just burn that damned thing.. Alright!?" Ezekiel's face turned more serious as the light came closer. "I ask you this.. If you don't.. Well... No need to think about that. Just get there as if hell was on your tail to drag you back.. Don't stop for anyone or anything.. If you lose the key.. BURN the whole room!.. If needs be.." Ezekiel stamped on the circle as a blue glow appeared and suddenly a rift teared open in the circle. "Go now... Purgatory is not a place for anyone or anything.... I.. Please." Ezekiel took hold of Seven and kissed her forehead.. "I should have told you earlier.."

Ezekiel turned towards the light.. His wings broken and blood flowing. Ezekiel took a half broken cigarette and lit it.. The fire in his hands was lightly blue.. Almost Celeste blue.. "I'm.. An angel with a grudge.. And a hangover.. Come and get me." He said as he walked towards the blue light. He turned once and looked back to Seven and gave her a goofy grin.. As a makeshift sign that he'll not die this day.

Seven nearly stopped breathing in relief as Ezekiel opened an eye and placed a hand over hers. "Am I dead yet? ...God... I feel like I got the worst hangover ever in my life... I... Sheit..." Ezekiel groaned. Seven stared, silent in her shock, as he yelped at sat himself up against a rock and moved her hands away from his chest. His breathing returned to normal. Holy sh-t, that worked? That worked! Oh my devil, that actually worked! Ezekiel stood, though slowly and not without pain, and Seven stood as well. He's okay... He's bleeding and broken, and a little worse for wear, but he's okay... This is amazing... "The soul keepers are coming for me. Seven... I'll be fine. I know this world better than you, so I ask you this once and only. That is; go back."

"Go back? Are you crazy? After that stunt you just pulled?" Seven exclaimed. She watched as Ezekiel drew a circle on the ground with his blood, handed her a key, and gave her instructions to open a trunk, get a chest, and burn it. He suddenly grabbed her and planted a kiss on her forehead. Her eyes widened in shock. Did he just...? Yeah, he just did that... Oh my... With that, Ezekiel made a crack about being a hungover angel with a grudge, lit a cigarette, and strolled off towards the blue light. Seven looked back down at the glowing circle of light, and the key in her hand, and pursed her lips. Go to his room, find the trunk, unlock it, burn the chest inside... and ignore the screams from it? Eh, I've heard weirder... Seven steeled herself to jump through when she was struck with an idea. She grinned and stuffed the key into her pocket. Jogging up to where Ezekiel still was heading towards the light, she stepped in front of him. With one hand, she held the spot where his neck met his shoulder. With the other hand, she plucked the cigarette from his mouth. "You missed," She stated, before boldly pulling him down into a brief kiss. She handed him back the cigarette and grinned. "Come back alive, Angel, or I'll find a way to resurrect you to kick your zombie -ss."

And with that, she headed back towards the glowing circle and jumped in. Now, have you ever been on a plane? Think of that feeling where you're taking off; your stomach flipping, your ears aching, and even a headache to those unlucky few. Now, take all of that, and multiply is by 7. That was exactly what it was like going through that little blue portal, accompanied by the feeling of weightlessness and being crushed to death. Gasping for air to calm herself, Seven stumbled to her knees where she ended up. A room she did not recognize, one that she assumed was Ezekiel's. Well, time to burn some sh-t. I'm good at that.

Ezekiel suddenly stopped in his tracks as Seven came up to him. "What are yo-" Seven plucked the cigarette out of Ezekiel mouth and kissed him. "Come back alive angel, or I'll find a way to resurrect you to kick your zombie -ss." Ezekiel looked back as Seven moved to the circle.. "Ummh.. Hey." Ezekiel saw as Seven left.. "Hmph... Well, it's you and me.. I just hope Seven burns that chest before you do whatever the crapsicle you do." Ezekiel cracked his knuckles, let fire spread from his shoulders down to his hands and charged towards the things.

Multiple times were Ezekiel thrown back and forth and everywhere between. "Hah.. That's-" Ezekiel spat some blood out and looked back to the blue light. "Rgh.. That's the best you can do? That's pretty pathetic you know. Considering you are one of the mighty Soul watchers.. I did kind of expect more than these throwing me around games." C'mon Seven.. I need you to burn those figurines.. "Aight.. You want to fight! Come and get me!" Ezekiel charged against the watcher again, and again.

(And because I am too lazy to write on Kak now.. Kitty.. We are.. Hijacking the random hotel a bit, aren't we?)

-----

Seven picked herself up shakily and reached into her pocket, securing her fingers around the warm metal of the key Ezekiel had entrusted her with. She started farther into his room and looked around, freezing in place. The room... Was like an insane asylum room that a satanist or... Something like that had been locked it. Runes and other strange markings and symbols covered the walls, the windows were boarded up, the bed was unmade (though she'd be a hypocrite to judge that), and clothes strewn about carelessly. Seven sighed.

"Okay, this is going to be harder than I thought..." She mumbled. She carefully picked her way through the mess, swearing to herself that she'd clean this mess after she burned the thing in need of burning. As she walked in, she suddenly banged her thigh on something and yelped, stepping back to glare at the offending object. The trunk! With underwear atop it....

"Classy, Zeke. Real classy," She muttered, picking them up between her forefinger and thumb to throw them to the side. Seven fished the key from her pocket and knelt down, finding the keyhole and wiggling the key in. Turning it, the trunk popped open with click. Seven removed the key and put it back in her pocket, then lifted the trunk lid. She grabbed the chest from inside and stood.

"Okay, burning. Not safe in here," Seven muttered to herself. She threw open the door, and booked it outside, attempting to not crash into people in her haste. She sprinted out to the beach where she first spoke with Ezekiel and set the chest down upon the same rock he had been sitting on. Curiosity pulled at her, making her want to open it. I wonder what's inside... No, bad, for all I know it could be Pandora's Box or something. Just burn it. That was enough to convince her, and with a huff, she lit her hands and sent twin jets of flames at the chest.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A deafening screech rung from the beach to the whole hotel. It continued until nothing remained of the small chest. A dark smokey shadow appeared faintly from the ashes, it stared silently towards Seven and a malicious grin appeared on it's face. It shortly disappeared into the ground.

Ezekiel stood on a large room and flung fireball after fireball down at the watcher, to no avail though. The watcher grabbed Zeke and threw him through another of the dark onyx like rocks. "..Gawd.. I feel like a broken bag of bones." Ezekiel slowly stood up again. "C'mon Se-" Ezekiel saw the apparition. "Humph.. You did it lass." Ezekiel readied himself and let the thing enter his body.. The screeching appeared from nowhere inside of him. And suddenly... A complete silence..

Ezekiel opened his eyes again. "Huh.. " He looked down where the hand contract was. It was completetly gone and replaced with a gravestone tattoo. "Well I guess it's out of the frying pan and into the fire.." Ezekiel walked a bit, stopped only to notice something- no someone lying on the ground.

He moved over and studied it, the creature was the Watcher of souls. Ezekiel knelt down and plunged his hand into it's.. Chest? A while of searching, Ezekiel pulled out it's heart.. "Alright.. I'm coming home." Ezekiel crushed the heart in his hands and his wings sprung to life again. With a smile he drew another circle, with the watchers blood and went through it. The feeling was indifferent to him, he had traversed through planes multiple times. Although he did still like the feeling of freefalling.

Ezekiel opened his eyes.. Actually the feeling of freefalling was very real, he was actually in the air.. Falling.. "OH SHITE!" He yelled. He frantically moved around in the air, he suddenly remembered.. "I have friggin WINGS! AND FORGOT 'EM?!" Ezekiel quickly leveled himself in the air. He slowly lowered himself down until he stood at the ground again. "Oh look at that.. I'm on the roof again. Although this time not a crash landing." Ezekiel sighed and sat on the edge of the hotel's roof. "It's actually mighty peaceful up here... "

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Seven fell to her knees with a whimper as the chest screeched as it burned. With her enhanced hearing, and that noise at such a close distance, it was physically painful to her ears. As the chest crumpled to ashes, Seven extinguished her flames and rubbed at her ears. Ow, ow ow ow, owowowowowowowowOW! Devil, are my ears bleeding? No? Okay, at least there's that... Seven went to push herself up to her feet, but instead was hit with a wave of nausea when she attempted it. She tried again, and managed to make it to her feet, but collapsed backwards to the ground. She tried to push herself up again, but she found that she couldn't. In fact, she couldn't move at all. Phyra, what's going on?! Why can't I move?! Am I paralyzed?! Phyra! Shit! Seven, you used too much energy! You're not used to using so much. Stay here, I'll go find help. It seems I don't really have a choice.

Suddenly, Seven was engulfed in flames. But then, the fire slipped away from her skin and began to gather into a tall column. Said column suddenly developed features and a figure, and tilted it's head. "I'll be right back, baby girl, okay? Don't worry, you'll be okay," it said. This curvy fire ball was actually Phyra, and she took off in a jet of flames towards the hotel. She spotted a winged figure drop from the sky and slow their descent to land carefully upon the roof. Phyra sped up towards them, knowing it was Ezekiel. She landed behind him and walked up to him, spinning him around by the shoulder to face her.

"Yo, Birdbrain, Seven's in trouble. Get your feathered ass down to the beach before I punt you there," She snapped, eyes narrowing. She was pissed, not at him, but that Seven was now hurt. And while she didn't blame Ezekiel for that, he was the only outlet for her worry and anger. "Please."

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ezekiel blinked a bit. The burning girl that just turned him was.. Phyra? “Phyra where is Se-“ Phyra stopped him talking by talking about how Seven was in a bad shape. Badum “Phyra.. What the crap are you talking about? Wha-“ Badum.. Badum... Ezekiel fell to one knee.. “Ugh.. W..No not possible..” Ezekiel laughed.. He stood up again and gave Phyra a familiar malicious grin. “ Would you kindly shut up? ” His voice had changed.. It was deeper.. Darker.. And definitly not Ezekiel’s voice. He grabbed Phyra’s throat and placed a finger to his lips, before speaking again. “Now.. You know me girlie.. I am Baal The trickster.. The duke of the 66th legions. And one hell of a demon.. And you know what? I thank you for breaking Ezekiel a bit.. The soul starver? Thanks for opening the chest. I tricked him to say that.. “ Ezekiel’s hand tightened around Phyra’s throath the hand visibly on black fire. “So please.. Please please.. PLEASE PLEASE! Whine! Go on.. BEG ME.. I could crush you with his powers.. Destroy you and make little Seven scream.. But I am afraid.. I have business in hell to attend.. I will leave Ezekiel for now.. I want you to listen carefully whelp. I will return.. This man.. He owes me.. Much..” By sheer strength made Ezekiel/Baal Phyra kneel down on the floor. “When I return you will rip his f**king things off.. Understand? I hope so.. “

And with a bright light stood Ezekiel and waved his hand in front of Phyra.

“Phyra? Hello? You zoned out. Piss. You said she was by the beach?” Ezekiel turned around and jumped of the building, his wings spreading fully out. He soared through the air and in a short amount of time reached Seven.

Ezekiel knelt down besides Seven. “Seven are you alright?.. Darn it.. You shouldn’t have tried to heal me. Now look at yourself..” Ezekiel looked frantically around.. “Ehh..” He reached under his coat and pulled out a purple journal of some kind. “Hmmh.. no.. No.. No..NO...Dammit.. .. Wait..Yes..” Ezekiel threw the book away. “I am sorry.. I hope you can forgive me for this..” Ezekiel produced a pocket knife from his coat and pulled down Seven’s sweater and tanktop right to where her sternum was. “Alright.. Yizic.. Raduzic.. Imazic.” Ezekiel drew three different runes on Seven with the pocket knife.. He then stapped his own hand “Ngh... And .... Cizami, Cizudar, Ciziy” He carved on his left arm. for a second nothing happened, but soon a burning green light flared up between them. Ezekiel was thrown a few metres back. He blinked for a while and said nearly in a whisper. “Seven?.. Seven?!..” Ezekiel coughed and got himself into a sitting position. “Seven....?” He looked through the dust, sand and fog that he had created by using that spell.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Phyra couldn't even begin to describe how shocked, scared, and angry she was when she discovered that Baal had taken residence within Ezekiel. But mostly angry. No, not angry. Furious, enraged. Those were better adjectives. "If you so much as lay a finger on Seven, I will tear you limb from limb Baal. You sadistic bastard... You are sick. I will never listen to you!"

But then Ezekiel was back in charge of his body and he waved a hand in front of her face. She ignored what he said and touched a hand to her throat, frowning. what in the hell is with Baal? What was that about, how did he get within Ezekiel? Did he... Is Ezekiel vesseling Baal without knowing it?! No... No, it can't be possible... But then again, I didn't think it was possible for Baal to enter the human world... I have to get to the bottom of this.

Seven groaned as something sharp suddenly dug into her skin, but couldn't move to see what this thing was. She heard someone talking to her, and knew it was Ezekiel, but couldn't figure out what he was saying. Then there was a flash of light that she could see through her eyelids, and she suddenly felt as if someone had dumped a hot bucket of water on her. A shiver made its way down her spine, and through her arms and legs down to her toes and fingers. This shiver was followed up by an intense feeling of pins-and-needles throughout her entire body. Hissing with discomfort, Seven pushed herself up and rubbed her limbs in attempt to rid herself of the painful feeling. It was only then that she realized that she could move. Seven took the opportunity to look down to see what had been stabbing her skin, and she paused. The first thing she asked was, "Why in the name of Hell are my boobs bleeding?!"

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ezekiel stood up and looked around. He noticed Seven and her voice.. Ezekiel limped a bit over to her and extended his hand.

“Hey Seven.. So.. ummh.. Sorry.. I had to take drastic measures.. Not that I actually know what I did... Well.. You’re alright.. Right?” Ezekiel sighed and continued speaking.

“I.. Thanks.. For helping.. Are you alright? You must’ve used a lot of energy just to heal me and then having to burn that chest... Also.. Ehh

Phyra came and she seemd a bit phased out? Oh.. And sorry.. I.. Might’ve had to use runes on your body... Ehmm How’d you like your new tattoo?”

Ezekiel sighed again.. Instead of waiting for her to accept his hand he slumbed down besides her. “I think.. It’s over.. Atleast for a while... I think.”

Ezekiel looked out towards the sea, Fudge... She’s going to hate me for this.. Ezekiel fiddled with a pepple in his hands. “So.. Mmh.. How are you feeling?” He shook his head and threw the pepple out towards the sea.

“I.. I should just shut up already, I’m just asking too many question now.. Seven.. I’m sorry for what happenend... All of that... And well I’m sorry for everything.. I’m just really unlucky I guess..” Ezekiel did something

Completetly different. He hugged Seven. “I... Thanks.. You’re a real life saver... I’m.. Just a damn fool for what I’ve done..”

Ezekiel let go of Seven again.. And sighed.. “So.. What now is the question for one million isn’t it? I mean.. There isn’t much.. I guess?” Ezekiel sighed and stared at Seven with a smile. “Puh... I feel empty inside.. Heck..

I’ts probably nothing.. Just overworking myself I guess? Oh and.. I guess you saw my room? Ehh Sorry ‘bout the mess.. I... I haven’t had the time to really clean it at all.. Whenever I get back to my room I’m usually dead tired from helping Sha’tana..”

Ezekiel shook his head and watched the waves move.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Seven blinked rapidly at Ezekiel's hand as he rambled a lot, mostly questions aimed at her, but she couldn't understand him nor was she given a chance to reply. She tilted her head in confusion as he continued talking, and slumped beside her, fiddling with a pebble. He kept talking, and shook his head and threw the pebble. Then he promptly grabbed her into a hug, and held her tightly. Then he set her down, and smiled. And then he looked away. Seven was beyond confused to begin with, and this certainly wasn't helping.

Seven sighed and leaned sideways into Ezekiel, nuzzling her head into his shoulder. "Zeke, you have one hell of a rambling habit... I don't really know what you just said, but I can say that you seem worried. I'm okay... What's with my new chest carving?"

Phyra leapt from the rooftop and launched herself into the air, rocketing through the air towards the two figures sitting by the beach. She slammed down and growled, stomping over and pulling Seven away. Considering that Phyra was about 8 to 9 feet tall, and a demon, it looked pretty ridiculous; Phyra holding under the arms and growling, and Seven just hanging there with wide-eyed confusion. Phyra sat herself down and held Seven in her lap, like a child holding a kitten. And then she spotted that Seven's chest was marked and used her forefinger to pull her shirt down a bit.

"Phyra! Stop it, what're you doing?!" Seven squirmed in her grip, whining, and Phyra merely held her firmly in her lap. She glared at Ezekiel.

"You used a binding rune?! You idiot! Do you have any idea what you just did?!" She hissed.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ezekiel calmed down a bit more as Seven leaned on his shoulder.

He pondered the question and finally spoke. “Yeah.. I’m sorry for rambling so much.. It happens..

I do that quite a lot..”
Ezekiel showed Seven his arm. “I.. Don’t really know.. I’m not really knowledged in.. Healing magic..

I just quickly read that this could mend wounds and restore energy or something.. I honestly don-“

Ezekiel scrambled a bit backwards

As Phyra grabbed Seven.

Ezekiel stood up to protest when Phyra asked him about the runes he made.. “I.. I don’t know okay? I was afraid that something might’ve happened to her.. So I just quickly read through one of the occult books for something that could heal, mend or something.. I am being honest in that I have no clue what this spell does.. I haven’t healed others.. So I don’t know what it did... But..” Ezekiel looked with both a serious and afraid expression. “I just wanted to make sure Seven didn’t die.. But I can see that I did something wrong..”

Ezekiel sighed. “I’m sorry, okay? I fucked up.. I’m a moron when it comes to helping others.. But! You! Asked! ME! And this is the best I could do Phyra. I’m sorry if I am not a miracle.. I’m sorry I fucked up your perfect world okay? Just..” Ezekiel slumbed down again.. His face weary his voice raspy his eyes dreary. “Just...” Ezekiel stopped himself and sighed.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Phyra opened her mouth to retort, with no doubt an insult, but the look on his face stopped her short. She sighed. "I'm sorry for yelling. I'm just very overprotective. But this rune, the one you just marked Seven with, is a binding rune. Now anything that happens to her, will happen to you. And vice versa. And when I say 'whatever happens' I mean that if she's hurt, you're hurt. If she's crying, you'll feel sad. If she is pissed, you'll know her rage. There are some instances that bonded people become physically pained when separated. It... It's very, very powerful. And cannot be undone. Which is why I yelled upon seeing this, because I panicked. I cannot undo it. No one can. It could wear off eventually, but when is something I don't know." Phyra set Seven down and stood, walking over to sit in front of him. She smirked slightly and lifted his chin with a forefinger. "Think of this as the interview that parents give to their child's partner. You're not the only one who fucked up in this situation. At least we're aware that Seven being safe is a priority." She smiled, a smile that said she hoped they could be friends...

The touching moment was ruined, however, as Seven had walked over and slapped them both in the back of the head. "Why is it thateveryone treats me like a helpless baby?! I can handle myself! I just overworked myself, I could've slept it off, I realized that as soon as you-" she pointed to Phyra- "told me why I couldn't move! But did anyone ask me? Noooo, of course not." She huffed and propped her hands on her hips. "Damn, your concern is heartwarming, but cut me some slack. I'm not helpless. So this is what's going to happen. Phyra, you're going to back off a bit, okay? I can handle my own choices, and if I was angry about this rune, I would've made that known myself. Which I'm not. So thank you for pointlessly scaring and offending Ezekiel. Ezekiel, you are going to also back off a bit. You don't have to worry about me all the time, okay? I'm perfectly capable of protecting myself and healing myself. And both of you, for fuck's sake, stop fighting over me and everything else too! I feel like I'm constantly babysitting. So seriously, make nice, cause I just need a break." With that, Seven sat herself down in Ezekiel's lap, and leaned against him with a sigh.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ezekiel nodded. “Alright.. I’m sorry.. I know you can perfectly handle yourself Seven.” Ezekiel wrapped his arms around Seven and looked up to Phyra. “Okay.. So.. Me and.. Seven are bonded?

That’s a bit.. I don’t know weird? So what you are saying is that whatever emotions one of us has, the other can feel it? Or do they also get that emotion? As in Seven being angry.. Would I also be angry or would I just feel that she is angry?”

Ezekiel tilted his head and thought about the bond.. “So.. That means I’ll quit smoking then. Wouldn’t want you to suddenly cough for no reasons. Right?” Ezekiel smiled a bit to Seven before returning his attention to Phyra. “And what about you then?

I mean.. If Seven is your vessel.. You’d feel what she feels.. Wouldn’t that mean you’d feel what I’d feel when you’re insi.. Ehh.. Vesseling Seven?”
Ezekiel blinked a bit, clearly confused. “Well.... Egh.. So how far does.. This bond go? Is there limits? Restrictions?

sheesh.. I should calm down.. I guess..”
Ezekiel shook his head and hugged Seven again. “Geh... I could sleep for a century.. Not that it would be good for me. And Seven? I’m sorry again... I was just afraid I guess.. I mean.. Egh.. Losing you wouldn’t... Yeah.” Ezekiel went silent.

He looked back to Phyra and nodded.. “Well.. Phyra... I’m sorry for.. Being an arse.. I hope you can forgive me for what I’ve done. I’ve done so much bull-crap in my life... Eh.. But what’s done is done.. Nothing we can do about it.” Ezekiel leaned his head to Sevens. “So.. Seven.. Hmh..

Bonded? That must’ve been quite different than being a vessel.. Eh..I.. I’m sorry for just doing that too you without permission.. I guess I was panicking?”
Ezekiel said quietly, letting out a sigh afterwards.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Yes, you and Seven are bonded. I'm not entirely sure how it works emotionally but physically, you literally feel the same pain if one is hurt. Say, if you cut your hand on something. Seven would start bleeding as well. I'm guessing that you just would know what the other is feeling, not feel it yourself. That'd be very conflicting. And yes, smoking is a bad habit regardless but if my baby girl gets second-hand smoke, I will burn you. That won't hurt Seven since I am technically part of her.

"Speaking of which, since I was out of Seven's body when the bonding occurred, I have nothing to do with this. Me and Seven don't share the same feelings anyways, nor the same mind, so I wouldn't feel or know what you feel. I haven't myself seen this occur in a long time, so... limits, restrictions, etc.? I have no idea what they are, if they exist. This is up for you two to figure out."
Phyra paused to watch Ezekiel interact with Seven and sighed, a small smile making its way upon her lips. "And you're forgiven. I myself was an ass, so I guess we're even eh?"

After yelling, it seemed that her adrenaline rush (that she was convinced came from the bond being forged) had worn off, and she just felt heavy and tired. She was quite content just to be in Ezekiel's arms and relax. She hadn't even faced the Soul Watcher, or whatever it was, and she felt sore... The bond? Or was this her own exhaustion from exerting herself? Whichever it was, Seven was wiped. Ezekiel was warm, not in a he's-made-of-fire-you-idiot kinda way, but in a comforting way. And his worrying was also comforting, since it let her know that he really did care. Seven nuzzled closer to him. Well, the bond itself let her know what he felt. It was like a strong sense of intuition. And downright weird really. She couldn't bring herself to care that much.

"Mmm... Don't apologize, it's okay. You panicked. I'm not mad. Just do me a favor, and get me to a bed before I decide to sleep in your lap."

(Bunny here. This is me and Kitty's.. Ehh Conversation.. We didn't really want ot overflow Random Hotel? So instead we compiled it here... Yay..)

Ezekiel nodded. "Yeah.. We'll just use your room, alright?" Ezekiel smiled a bit akwardly. But shortly afterwards raised himself from the ground, Seven in his arms. From there on he walked towards the hotel. He stopped only and looked to Phyra. "Soo.. Umh... Ho- Eh I guess it's better to just ask as it is. Going to follow or go vesseling?" Ezekiel felt his legs quiver a bit.. He sighed, he didn't have time to wait.. All in all Phyra were faster than him and Seven.

Ezekiel continued down to the building and kicked the door open. "I kinda missed seeing the hotel again in the short while I was away.." Ezekiel looked up the flight of stairs.. "And your room was the 0666th? Christ on a bike... Did you really have to do that? Why not.. Room 66th? Awwwhh..." Ezekiel mustered his strength and feriously ran up the stairs, while holding Seven tightly to him. As they reached her room, Ezekiel was visibly about to pass out. "Do...n't mind if I do.." Ezekiel drew a rune on the wall by the door, and the door opened by itself. With his last will and strength placed Ezekiel Seven on her bed, promptly falling over on the floor himself. "Gawd... Can I have vacation now?..."

While Ezekiel was off doing his thing, Artemis and Casey were out on the beach, enjoying a relaxing day. It seemed like the vacation Ezekiel so wanted (Casey would probably have held it over him, if she'd known what he'd said).

Casey had gotten rather hungry, and so they decided to head for the restaurant, and then drag Ezekiel out from whatever he was doing to continue Artemis's lesson. They wandered back, chatting, and then Casey stubbed her toe on something.

"Ow!"

Casey brushed sand off of what she had hit, and picked it up. It turned out to be a copper medallion, with this symbol etched on it:

(although in coppery colors, because no paint had been used)

Artemis peered over her shoulder, took a look at the symbol, and said: "I do not know this one, but it is probable that it means no good. Drop the medallion. We'll dispose of it later."

Casey, who herself did not like the looks of the symbol at all, muttered "You don't need to tell me twice," and immediately dropped the thing. I'd say 'like a hot potato' except for the fact that Casey, as a Djinn, was not much bothered by heat. Thus, she merely dropped the thing, and gravity took over from there. It fell like an ordinary medallion. It lay in the sand like an ordinary medallion. Casey and Artemis gave it a wide berth and traveled back to the hotel.

About the time they entered, Casey began coughing. A concerned Artemis asked "You okay?"

The answer was somewhat obvious, but courtesy demanded the stupid question and courtesy also demanded the stupid answer that Casey gave.

Casey, between coughs, said: "I'm fine."

Then a particularly violent coughing fit shook her and she spat up blood. She froze in shock, and Artemis took over.

"Get back to your room and lay down. I'll go get Ezekiel, and see if he can do anything."

Casey, in between coughs and more blood, nodded and whirlwinded herself away.

Artemis herself didn't bother to brush down her clothes and hair disturbed by the wind. Instead she ran up, in a panic, to Ezekiel's room.

Ezekiel opened his eyes.. He looked around.. He was.. Nowhere? No he was back in Purgatory, surrounded by darkness.. And eyes.... “Seven?!” He yelled out.. Ezekiel panickly looked around.. The eyes were coming closer, a deep laughter bellowed around him..

Suddenly.. He looked down, Ezekiel stood motionless in the pool of blood..

“GAH!...” Ezekiel rose from the bed.. his hands burning brightly and his body drenched in sweat.. “Seven?!” He said.. And looked to his side.. Seven was still there.. “God..” The fires on his hand went out.

Ezekiel cupped his face and sighed. Everything felt like a bad memory.. But still a memory he remembers clearly. “How..Long.. Sheesh.. It felt like I’ve been gone for a week..” Mumbled Ezekiel to no one particularly.

He studied Seven’s room again. It didn’t really change since last time where she told him about what happened.. And well all the things that followed suit.. Good thing I had opened the window instead of breaking through it. Ezekiel thought as he looked towards the window

that he had leaped through with Seven in his arms. His attention turned back to the rest of the dainty room.. Certainly more friendly looking than my room.. Ezekiel slowly rose up from the bed. He cracked his back and his knuckles. “I haven’t slept like that in ages.. Damn.. It felt good.”

Ezekiel moved over to the window and opened it. “Humh.. Bonded..” He reached under his coat and pulled the carton of cigarettes. “Eh.. Ain’t going to miss yer’ anyway.” He said and threw the pack out of the window. “I wonder if alcohol might be a problem... Sheesh.. This bond

is going to off me.” Ezekiel shook his head lightly. Probably going to quit that too.. Humh.. I wonder if this bond is telepathic, bizarre.. I should ask Phyra ‘bout that. And get some chewing sticks.. Ezekiel shrugged to himself again.. Shortly rubbing his eyes, he was still feeling

a bit off or tired.

Seven opened her eyes... Where am I? It was dark, dark and cold, and it set her on edge. There was blood, blood everywhere. But... she wasn't in her own body. She was just conscious of this occurring. And there was laughter, deep bellowing laughter, and someone was screaming for her... Ezekiel? What was wrong, he sounded so scared. Worry coursed through her veins, but it wasn't hers. It was... Ezekiel's. Something told her it was Ezekiel's. And... wait a moment. Seven became aware that this thing occurring, this horrible Purgatory dream, wasn't hers... And she wasn't in her own body, because she was seeing this dream through Ezekiel's mind. He looked down and-

Seven suddenly felt a sharp tug that stole her breath, and she was suddenly awake, staring at her eyelids. She sighed out her nose in relief that the dream was over. She heard a cry from within the room and cracked open an eye. Ezekiel was sitting upright, hands on fire and covered in sweat, looking like he just saw doomsday. He began talking to herself, but it was mostly muttered so she couldn't understand what he was saying. He looked around and stood, and snapped her eyes closed. Why am I pretending to sleep? And where's Phyra? Probably burning something... Oh well, let her have her freedom. Seven opened her eyes fully as she heard the window opening, instantly worrying that Ezekiel would throw himself through again. But no, he threw the cigarettes out instead. Seven's brows rose. Why would he do tha- Oh... the bond... Oh my devil, we're bonded? That's like... that's like getting married! Lucifer! Seven took to staring at where Ezekiel had been sprawled and pressed her lips in a thin line. But do I mind that?

Seven sat up and got off the bed, slipping away into the bathroom. She didn't bother closing the door and she turned on the shower and stripped down, stepping in. She sighed as the water rushed over her skin, soothing her aching muscles and washing away the dirt while metaphorically washing away her worries. We'll figure this out.

Ezekiel stood and tried to relax his nerves by watching the scenery from the window, but to no avail.. That dream... It felt so darn real... Can’t be.. It must be a side effect of returning or something..

Ezekiel’s ears perked as he heard the shower turn on. He turned and looked to the bed. Did I wake Seven?.. Phyra’s gone....

Ezekiel slowly moved over to the doorway of the bathroom, apparently Seven didn’t close it after her.. Well maybe she felt safe? Ezekiel stood by the doorway and listened to the water.

humh.. She seemed off? I don’t know.. A good morning would maybe taken some worry off.. Eh.. I shouldn’t worry.. That’ll make her feel worried? Or atleast feel that I feel worried that she feel w.... Eh.. Now my brain hurts..

Ezekiel sighed and slowly spoke up. “Ummh... Good.. Morning Seven..” Why d.. Well he did feel awkward.. He was standing in the doorway to a open bathroom where a woman where showering..

Atleast he had the decency to not directly stare, instead his gaze was on the floor. “Umm... So.. Did you sleep well? Considering all that crap that happened?” Christ Ezekiel.. Did you just change attitude from the careless guy to a softie?

“..Eh.. I should wait.. It’s been a long night and that.. Awh fuck it.. I’m terrible at this conversation.. I’m sorry.. It’.. Egh” I’m a moron.. Ezekiel sighed and sat down leaning up at the doorway. “I should go and get washed up at my room.. Eh..” Ezekiel didn’t really move...

He kinda didn’t want to move really.. Instead he remained silent, contemplating.

('Scuse me as I become evil here ^^ poor softie is gonna have a heart attack after I do what I plan)

Seven paused from rinsing soap from her hair when she heard Ezekiel speak up from the doorway. Well, she felt his presence before that, she probably could've felt his confusion and worry, and just general stress, from a mile away. Perhaps they should test that some day...

"Good morning, Ezekiel," Seven replied. She cringed, running a hand through her damp locks. Geez, way to sound all formal and detached. "Well, I slept fine. I, eh... Had a weird dream is all. Sorry for just vanishing into the bathroom without saying good morning, I just felt zombie-like and figured I should clean up before attempting normal conversation."

Seven could sense the awkwardness in Ezekiel's tone of voice and through their bond, and it only served to amuse her. What, he's never held a conversation with a showering person before? Aww, how innocent. Seven finished rinsing her hair and cleaning her skin, and shut off the water. She then peered from behind the shower curtain and realized that there was no towel. Not that she needed one, he could easily dry herself with a blast of warmth. But Ezekiel was still sitting right in the doorway... Which left her with a few options, the more entertaining ones involving not giving a damn that he was sitting there and just drying off and walking out. But she couldn't be that evil, not after he was clearly so embarrassed already.

"Eh, Ezekiel? Could you get me a towel from the closet?"

Ezekiel looked up and stared at Seven’s face.. Damn..I.h.. He blinked for a while and noticed she were talking with him.. Was.. I..Huh..

“Understandable.. We’r-“ His ears perked as Seven asked him about getting her a towel. “Oh sure.. I can do that..”

Ezekiel stood up, he lingered for a moment and finally moved over to the closet. “Uh.. Ah here they are..” Ezekiel took a red towel out.

“Humh.. So Seven.. “ He said while leisurely walking over to the bathroom again. “Bonded, with the possibility for life with it.. That’s pretty big..

Isn’t it? I mean.... It’s.. I don’t know.. It’s something one might get used to? Eh..” Yep.. I’m a moron and terribly bad at doing this.. Ezekiel stepped into the bathroom..

“Uhh.. Here.. Seven..” His eyes darted between the towel and Seven’s face, although his eyes rested more on her face that popped out of the curtains. “So.. Yeah.. I guess you forgot to take a towel.. That... Happens.. Heh..”

Ezeke.. Shut up.. Nope.. I’m totally bad at this.. Somebody make me mute please.. “Do you need anything else?” He asked.. Still unsure on what to really do..

Seven watched his face with a blank expression, surprised that she was able to hide her amusement. He clearly wasn't feeling this, as his own flustered awkwardness seemed overwhelming. As he left to grab a towel for her, Seven smirked slightly, forming a plan.

"Bonded, that we are. And yes, most likely for life. You did pretty much bring this upon yourself though, for not reading up on what rune you were using. Though I must say, it's healed into quiet an interesting scar, like a tattoo." Seven watched as Ezekiel reentered, clearly trying not to stare as his eyes darted between the red towel in his hand and her face. "Ezekiel? Are you alright? You seem a bit flustered. I'm not embarrassing you, am I?" Seven asked innocently, stepping right out of the shower and taking the towel from him with a devilish grin. Cue even more flustered rambling

in 3...2...1...

Ezekiel nodded. “Well.. I was scared that you would die or something so I had to do it.. Asap you know..?” Ezekiel blinked and was a bit expressionless. “Am I alri-“

Ezekiel stared at Seven’s.. Naked body.. She TRICKED ME...hum..oh..w..wah.. “I.. ke...Uh.. Oh...W..Wh....y?...”

Ezekiel shook his head.. Now.. Zeke.. You’re older than her.. And you’ve lived far long enough to not be afraid of that.. What happened?! Did you change personality?!

Ezekiel took a deep breath.. “..You know.. “ He said slowly again leaning in towards Seven. “I could live with for life.”

In that moment, Zeke’s mind cleared up.. The nightmare forgotten.. For in that moment he kissed Seven.. NOW YOU’RE BACK! Well.. Technically me..

He broke off the kiss again. “I’m.. Sorry.. I guess I was a bit.. Foward.. Eh..” ...I.......Hmh.. I do feel relaxed.. Like.. My mind is open.. Serenity.. Is she.. Seven is making me feel relaxed.. Huhmh..

I hope.. You can live with that too..?” Said Ezekiel slowly, as he smiled warmly. ..Eh.. I wonder what Phyra is going to .. Shit.. She’ll kill me if she saw me now..

Seven was quite smug at Ezekiel's reaction, until he turned it around and surprised her by kissing her. Seven blinked a bit, taken aback by his quick recovery from embarrassment, only to ramble a bit again. Seven smiled at his innocently asked question and nodded. "I think I can live with it," She said, a bit sarcastic when saying 'I think'. She grabbed his collar and kissed him again.

Phyra, however, was not too pleased to return to what she saw; Ezekiel and Seven, who still had the towel in her hand and not on her body, kissing in the middle of the bathroom. Her eye twitched. She restrained herself from scolding Seven and attacking Ezekiel, recalling Seven's independence speech. So instead of going into mom-mode, she went into friend-mode. "Oi! Love birds! Next time, close the damn door! You're burning my eyes!"

Ezekiel smiled.. “I thought so.... I lo-“ Ezekiel turned as Phyra had begun talking. “Uh.. It’s.. Not entirely what it seems like!” Pointed Ezekiel out. “.. You’re not going to kill me? Huh.. Yay..”

Ezekiel looked a bit awkwardly from Phyra to Seven.. “Well.. I.. Can I use the shower after you’re done?” He tried to make it sound.. Plain although he knew he failed horribly. “Ugh.. And yeah.... I can’t stop making this seem awkward, can I?” He sighed and

shrugged. Atleast I tried! Ezekiel moved out of the bathroom to give Seven privacy.. Or atleast what was left of it. “Uhm.. Sorry about that Phyra?.. I guess?” You know.. She seems friendlier than normal.. That’s a good thing.. Right?

Ehh... Yeah, totally.
“So.. Phyra.. Where you’ve been?.. You do seem ehh.. Happier? I guess..” How can one tell if a fire demon is happy? That’s a geniune question actually.. Huh.. “I...Ehh Hope you.. Don’t mind.. That.. Yeah..”

Seven looked over Ezekiel's shoulder as Phyra spoke, face reddening. Well, it's not like she hasn't been in the same body during a shower before. She's quite familiar with your body, Sev, stop blushing.

"Oh, hey Phyra!" Seven chirped, waving a bit. Ezekiel seemed beyond embarrassed, which honestly was amusing her to no end, and Phyra seemed to be amused herself. Huh... Wonder why she isn't setting him on fire... Oh well, can't complain. I wonder what he was about to say though... Seven looked to Ezekiel and smiled. "Of course you can use the shower. Just give me a minute."

Phyra sat herself upon the bed that had gone unused by the two and examined her nails, or what would be her nails if she weren't made of fire. Phyra looked up as Ezekiel left the bathroom and began talking with her. She smirked.

"Where I went is for me to know and you not to find out. And happier? Eh... I suppose? Nothing in particular has happened. And for the record, I'm not going to kill you. Honestly, your expression when i spoke up has sparred your life," Phyra teased, chuckling. "I don't mind Seven's nudity, or you two together. I'll still rip your dick off if you hurt her though." Phyra smiled pleasantly. "So how have you been?"

Ezekiel blinked for a short while.. “Eh.. Okay, thanks Seven...” Ezekiel stood in the middle of the room and stared at Phyra. “Humh.. I guess that privacy is understandable... “ Ezekiel’s face was expressionlessly mortified. “...I ...Really don’t hope you mean that Pyra... That’s cruel..

Too cruel..” Ezekiel sighed. “I’m go-“ Sheesh.. These girls are cutting me off mid sentence all the time.. Ezekiel turned and smiled warmly to Seven. “Eh.. ... Probably.. Just.. Phyra being.. Phyra I think?.. You know her better than me.

But.. “ He turned to Phyra. “I would never in my life harm her on purpose.. I mean.. In the start with this bond.. We.. Have to test? It’s new for us.. So accidents are going to happen.. But I wouldn’t in my life harm her directly..” Ezekiel turned his attention back to Seven with a smile again.

“Well.. I’ll.. Be using the bathroom now then....” Ezekiel carefully moved past Seven. As he got into the bathroom he nearly closed the door, although it was left slightly ajar. ugh... It’s true isn’t it? The need to test and see how this bond thing works.. Right?.. Ehh

Ezekiel sighed and undressed. He checked the showers temperatur and turned it a little colder, he stepped in and began washing himself. Damn... How long have it been to get a shower like this?

He sighed with relief. Just what I needed.. Humh.. Phyra stopped me from.. Well telling Seven I loved her.. Eh.. I don’t know anymore.. Well I still love Seven.. She’s fun.. Nice.. And.. Ezekiel’s thoughts trailed off.. He shook his head and continued to was his hair.

Phyra smiled at Ezekiel's little speech, especially as she noticed Seven's cheeks redden. It amazed her how immodest the girl could be, only to be embarrassed by compliments or heartfelt testimonies. "I won't Ezekiel, I believe you. Now shower you slob, before you get your filth on us."

Seven waited for Ezekiel to vanish into the bathroom before giving Phyra a stern look. "What'd you say?"

"I said nothing, I have no idea what you're talking about," Phyra said innocently, but her grin was devilish. "Get dressed. I went out to get actual clothes for you so you aren't stuck inn the same dirty clothes until we can get back to Hell and fetch your stuff."

"Oh. Thanks Phyra," Seven said, grabbing different articles of clothing from the bags Phyra pointed to in the corner of the room. How hadn't she noticed them? Seven quickly got dressed, not caring about being shy in front of Phyra, and then picked up the towel. She had only used it to cover herself momentarily, as she had dried herself off with a gust of heat. She walked back towards the bathroom and dropped the towel outside the door, but the falling fabric caused a gust that caused the ajar door to swing open slightly.

"Oh, sorry about that," Seven said, stooping to pick up the towel again and close the door. She paused, however, upon seeing Ezekiel's shadow through the curtain. She smirked. "Actually, I'm not that sorry anymore."

Ezekiel’s mind wandered, from the bond to his nightmare to Phyra’s motherly traits? He shook his head. Ugh.. It should work itself out...It usually does..

Ezekiel in the silence of the water hitting him listened to Phyra and Seven’s talking. Hell? Humh.. I could help them.. Well unless Phyra got a direct route to ..Eh.. Their stuff. Waygates.. Are not really

a 100% correct way.. They fail about one third of the times.. Well fail and fail.. I just don’t get exactly where I am but close.. And..
For a blink of an eye, had Ezekiel’s thoughts moved past the massacre.. She can’t have let that stay as their home?.

He shook his head again, suddenly he heard Seven move and her saying sorry. “It’s O-“ “Actually, I’m not that sorry anymore. Well.. This turned interesting.. “Whaddya’ mean Seven?”

Ezekiel’s upper body popped up behind the curtains. He stared at her staring at him. “Oh ‘Cmon Seven..

Phyra’s there.. And I got a freebie from a bad burn by luck..” Another brief moment had Ezeke’s thoughts moved back to where it was Seven in the shower and him by the doorway.

We gotta stop meeting like this.. Ezeke himself smiled slyly.

Seven smirked, not phased by his upper body at as she had seen him shirtless before. Though being soaked did add something extra.

"What about me?" Phyra suddenly asked. Speak of the devil and she shall appear. Seven sighed. Phyra stopped beside Seven and cat called. "See Seven? I told you he was hot when we met him, and what did you say? You told me to shut up. But c'mon, look at him. He's hot. And I'm a fire demon saying this."

"Phyra?"

"Yes?"

"Mine," Seven stated, narrowing her eyes slightly. Phyra laughed and walked out of the bathroom, leaving Seven standing there by herself in the doorway. She hung up the towel on the rack and ran a hand through her hair, turning to leave.

Ezekiel groaned as Phyra asked.. Well Speak of the sun and it’ll shine.. “Ugh..”

Ezekiel shook his head as phyra talked about him. Gee.. It’s like her first time seeing a guy..

Ezekiel suddenly changed his expression to a surprise. Mine? Huh.. That’s new. Is Seven a little bit jealous..Hah.. Oh?

Ezekiel stepped out of the shower as Seven turned. Not on my watch.

Before she could leave though had Ezekiel already placed and arm around her waist. “Where you think you’re going?” He said quietly, to avoid Phyra snooping around.

He leaned to whisper into her ear. “And mine..” He whispered and turned Seven’s face slightly so he could kiss her lips.

Seven heard the shower curtain rustle and didn't think much of it, but then an arm wrapped around her waist. An arm attached the a very wet and very naked man, that she was practically soul-married to. Seven's cheek burned and she tensed, flustered by then turn of events.

"Where you think you're going?" He asked in an amused tone, but quietly so that it was almost drowned out by the sound of the still-running shower. Probably trying not to alert Phyra. Which Seven understood entirely, Phyra's odd logic would no doubt make her pissed to see the roles reversed.

"Well, someone's a bit grabby," Seven remarked, her voice shaking a bit in her embarrassment. It's not like she was unused to seeing others without clothes. She had lived in Hell for a damn long time, and a lot of demons were so confident in theirselves that they figured they'd share it with the underworld. It was the fact that this was Ezekiel that was flustering her so much. And her embarrassment only grew as he leaned closer and whispered to her. She only caught one word. "Mine". And then he was kissing her, and she was sure her face was red as a tomato if not redder. But that didn't stop her from relaxing in his grip and turning to deepen the kiss.

Phyra had been intending to leave, to go find a forest fire or something to relax in, when she glanced it and paused. She opened her mouth to comment but then pressed her lips together in a tight line. Crazy kids. She then opened the door and left the room, closing and locking the door behind her.

Ezekiel was the one to break off the kiss, with a quick motion had he taken the towel but he slowly wrapped the towel around his waist.

He smiled slyly again. He looked up as he heard a door close. Huh.. Did phyra see us?...

Well.. Since she’s not here.. Humh.
Ezekiel reached with one hand and turned the shower off, he turned back to Seven and smiled again.

“Grabby? You did kinda ask for it you know.. And my, my. You’re blushing..” Ezekiel leaned in and kissed her again.

“..Seven?” Ezekiel smiled. “...I love you.” He said placing his forehead to hers. There.. I’ve told her.. It, kinda feels good to actually get this off..

“I mean it.. I love you.. You’re someone very special to me Seven..”

Seven averted her eyes as she heard the door close, her face reddening as Ezekiel flashed her a sly grin. At Ezekiel's comment, Seven looked back.

"Asked for it? How did I ask for it? By hanging up a towel?" Seven questioned. His next comment caused her eyes to roll. "Yes, I'm blushing. Cheesy as-" Seven was interrupted with a chaste kiss, though she didn't complain.

"Seven? ...I love you. Imean it. I love you. You’re someone very special to me Seven..." Ezekiel suddenly admitted, resting his forehead to hers. Seven froze, eyes widening. She... Hadn't been expecting that... Nor was she prepared to answer to that. She was sure her face was even redder, or completely lacking color as she paled in shock. She didn't know how to react honestly. Did she love him too? Perhaps. But she didn't know what love was! She'd never loved a person before, besides Caleb and Phyra, but those were much different types of love. Phyra was the sibling love, and with Caleb it... It had been unrequited and quite frankly stupid. But this was Ezekiel, a man who had dedicated so many years to being a shadow and protecting her. He had gone to her old home and found things of hers from the wreckage. He had accepted death on her behalf, and nearly died! All for her. And now he was saying he loved her... But she didn't know him as well as he knew she. She knew hardly anything about him. But... She did at the same time. Perhaps it was the bond giving her this feeling, or perhaps it was her own natural feelings untainted by runic magic, but she felt the need to trust him, to touch him, to be near him, to love him. But she was too conflicted to give an answer immediately...

"I... I think I love you too," she said quietly, slowly, staring at her feet. It was the best she could give in return at the moment until given time to process and think. This past week, no it had only been a day, had been chaotic and overwhelming. This really was the icing on the cake, and she was completely at a loss of what to do.

(Tl;dr. It's like one of those really, really good romantic movies that turns really, really sad and then we cry.. But we haven't reached that part entirely yet.)

Ezekiel smiled. “Ihm..” He sighed a bit. “Let’s not stay here..” He said and led Seven to the bedroom again. “Well... I’m sorry for.. Ehh.. Being foward?” Ezekiel said after a moment of silence.

I thought long about... Confronting you.. All those times I watched you from afar.. Or in the shadows.. Those time I killed greater demon-hunters... And greater demons... Both looking for you... I thought about going over and introduce myself..

And well.. I was unsure.. You would be mad.. You would probably try and kill me.. Heck Phyra tried that a day ago..
” Ezekiel slowly looked around the room before turning his attention back to Seven. “I’ve lived a long life.. I have met many things.. You are the only one I found unique..

Not because you are extinct.. I am too.. But because.. You were different.. You still are.. When I see your eyes.. My heart ships a beat.. When I see your smile.. My soul beckons... When I hear you talk.. I feel serenity.. I’ve lost count on how long I’ve lived.. On how many I’ve killed..

How many lovers I’ve had in my life.. But not a single time have I said what I’ve said to you.. I love you.. For I knew.. I would outlive them.. I don’t know if I will with you.. I don’t believe so.. I hope not.. I’m a broken man Seven.. What I’ve done in my life.. Would disgust lucifer himself..

Ezekiel smiled meekly again. “I’ve had no rest.. Until this day.. I’ve remained sleepless, tireless and alone.. You’ve become a beacon.. Of hope for me.. And I know.. We’ve pretty much only met yesterday.. I know.. And you hardly know who I am..” Ezekiel took a deep breath, sat besides Seven and gazed at the floor. “I am Ezekiel Serafino.. Or Seraphim a burning one.. When we, the nephilim were born.. We were a pure creation.. We were.. Angels.. I as one of the few of the first.. Got the rank of Seraphim.. A burning one. Those closest to god.. For an eternity.. I worked.

And one day.. We were cast out.. In human years.. The time it took from our creation to our banishment would only be two minutes.. But it was far longer than that.. Lucifer and the fallen angels were already cast out before us.. Some of the nephilim joined hell..

Others tried and now works as mindless slaves for the angels.. And then some came to Terra to live... And I went to Purgatory.. This you know.. And you know I struggled most of my life there.. Fighting with everything I had.. After time I got through what I’ve told you...”

Ezekiel for a long time had tears running down his face.. That dream.. I felt you were there.. That is why I called you out.. But I was afraid to tell you now.. For what you would see.... I told you I lost contact to the last of the nephilim?.. I lied.. But not out of my own free will.. It was because I was afraid on how you would react..” Ezekiel ran a finger across a tatoo on his chest, the tattoo was shaped as two hands bonded with a rose, it’s vine covered with thorns were wrapped around the hands.. And the rose itself was withering on one side, the other dripping blood. “When we came to Purgatory.. You probably didn’t hear or understand the whispers..” Ezekiel looked to Seven. “Parricide.. Parentela-interfector, homicida... All better known as murderer... Or Kinslayer..” Ezekiel went silent.. As if awaiting his judgement.

It was at this moment that Artemis chose to knock on the door and invite herself in.

Talk of your awkward.

She did, of course, have an excuse; coughing up blood is a bad sign, even in most supernatural creatures.
