Fantasy The Random Hotel

Ajax was a bit puzzled by Sha'tana's odd behavior and was about to ask her about why her timing was so terrable and why she would say such a thing, but then she walked away with what looked like a broken heart. What's up with her? Odd little demon that one is... Ajax then yelled down the hall with a quiver, because he wasn't sure of his words, "Yeah, I'll chat with you about that later, I guess."

He began to walk towards room 0006 and then knocked on the door wearily and clumsily, he hadn't the energy for kindly approach. He yelled through he door, "I'm late, I know. About ten minutes late, I believe it's been about a half hour when I told you that my quickest would be twenty minutes... Anyway, I have the goods and the news of your client. I have a feeling that you're going to like what I have to say, employer." Ajax took a few steps back and then placed a hand upon his rapier again. He examined his gnarled equipment ((described in my last post)) and realize that he would have to get some work done in this world before he went home. He had never even heard of a leather worker around here. He planned to ask Malcolm or perhaps that Ezikiel fellow about it. They both seemed to be as close to the warrior types that he was used to hanging around with as they came in this frame of existence.

He stayed there and then listened intently for any noises. He heard Sha'tana asking someone for something, he couldn't quite make out the hushed words. He listened more closely.
No chance in hell that they're talking about a nearby leather worker who would be willing to make armor my size, eh?

Ezekiel looked back towards Sha'tana. He cracked a smile. "Seems like everyone bumps or wants to have a word with me now." He cracked his knuckles and nodded to Sha'tana. "Sure, I have time to talk.. Unless you plan to sacrifice me for a new blood god that is." Ezekiel's chucked at that part. "Anyway, whaddya need Sha'?" While it isn't unusual to be asked... Sha' seems.... Distressed? No...Sad is probably the better word...I wonder what's wrong... Ezekiel looked back to Seven and shifted between her and Sha'tana. "Oh yeah.. This is Seven.. And Phyra.. Vessel apparently, isn't that awesome?" Ezekiel chuckled again, shortly his expression turned mild serious awaiting for Sha'tana to speak.

Jaiden stumbled awkwardly through the front entrance of the hotel and pulled down her hood, fixing the hairs that stood up as a result then looked down, mumbling to herself, nobody in particular, or everyone in the room. she really didn't know "Okay. Okay. Okay. Um room? bar. room." her nonsensical mumbling went on for what seemed like a while, but was probably more like 30 seconds. She couldn't help it. There were people around. With a deep inhale, she retrieved her room key from Gu thanked him quietly and walked to the bar, thinking of all the reasons she shouldn't be freaking out. Finally, she ordered a margarita and sat down with a sigh.

Seven looked to the women that bowed and blinked slowly behind her shades. You didn't blush that time. No, I didn't, because that bow made sense in context. Now shut up, I'm listening.

"May I have a word with you, Mr. Serafino?" The woman, Sha'tana, said. Seven looked to Ezekiel and tilted her head as he cracked his knuckles and spoke. She didn't really pay attention to what he said until he looked at her again.

"Oh yeah.. This is Seven.. And Phyra.. Vessel apparently, isn't that awesome?" Ezekiel chuckled. Seven raised a brow to that but smiled slightly.

"Eh, hey there Ms. Sha'tana. Thanks for welcoming us in. It's very kind of you," Seven said with a slight bow of respect. Look at you, all fancy like. Shush, they're talking. He look so serious. Sheesh. Do you think we should leave and give them privacy? If they want us to leave they'll tell us to. Anyway, this lady looks troubled, maybe we could help? By what, setting something on fire? Or maybe flirting it to death? ...Shut up. We'll leave if they tell us to.

She was pleased to see Seven bowing back. At least someone got's a leash on Ezekial. Sha'tana rolled her eyes at Ezekial, "I'm surprised you haven't gotten yourself in trouble." She chuckled a bit when she looked at his hand, "Burnt your hand from smoking?" She looked at Seven, "Perhaps, someone is keeping you out of trouble?" The question was rhetorical, so she got to the point without exposing anything too personal. "Ezek..." she choked, "I need you to make 'something' disappear." She suddenly felt weak. Her human emotions were getting a hold of her. The mere hint of talking about 'him' was killing her insides. She felt terribly ill. How could he leave her? Sha'tana was staring blankly at Ezekial. Lost in her thoughts.

Ezekiel looked at his hand and back to Sha'tana. "Eh? No Phyra is a fire demon. It'll go away... And keeping me out of trouble? Psh.. Nothing cou-" Something? As in someone? Or literally something? Ezekiel thought... He could certainly see that Sha'tana didn't like remembering whatever it is. "Alright... I can do that.... What is this something you want me to remove?.. Sha' are you alright lass?" Well that is a stupid question, I mean everyone can look at her for two seconds and already see that something is really making her feel sad. Ezekiel asked again. "And where is this?.. Something.. Your room?.. And well one last question.. I promise!.. How much do you want it to disappear?" Ezekiel's mild serious expression had completetly turned full serious, he hadn't blinked at all until he had asked the last question.. Well.. If it's another greater demon, I expect a reward.. Those things are not easy to banish.

Caspian turned his head as a girl with short Auburn hair passed by him. He nudged at Emyr, "Would'ja look at that." He cocked his head a bit. She smelled good. A nice girly, irresistible kind of smell. "Hold that thought." He slowly walked up to the girl. He heard her mumbling to herself, but he could figure what exactly what she was saying. "Hi," he said smoothly as he stood behind her. Man, she's a fast walker... he thought as he noticed they were at the bar already. He didn't even notice how fast he was walking behind her. Hopefully, it didn't creep her out.

It took a moment to process what Sha'tana said, but when it clicked her face went bright red in a fierce blush. "Perhaps, someone is keeping you out of trouble?" Why'd she have to say it in that tone of voice?! Gah, it's so obvious what she's hinting at. Stupid Ezekiel doesn't even notice, he's so oblivious. Or, he's just a guy. Come on Seven, why don't you go ahead and "keep him out of trouble"? You know why. Ah, right.... Sorry for bringing him up.... You didn't technically, so... It's okay, Phyra. Sorry for snapping.

Sha'tana choked out something about making something disappear and she froze. Disappear...? Baby Doll, take this as you will, but her tone of voice... sounds very, very similar to the one you spoke with when he died. I know, Phyra, I know. How can we help her? What? Well we aren't going to just stand here! She's clearly heartbroken, we have to help her.

"Um, Ms. Sha'tana? I don't mean to butt in to something that's clearly not my business, but is there anyway I can help?" Seven asked quietly, crossing her arms tightly as if to hug herself.

Jaiden jumped when she turned around to see a rather handsome blue-haired boy standing in front of her.

"Oh!" she gasped "I-I didn't see you there!" Oh god Oh god Oh god she thought, she was panicking on the inside, hoping she wasn't turning 1000 different shades of red. Nothing I haven't dealt with before she thought. Jaime went through the motions in her head Smile, then extend your hand. Something got lost in translation because her 'smile' was more of a forced half-grin and when she extended her hand, it was visibly shaking.

She forced out the words "I'm Jaiden" and was basically screaming on the inside about how much of a social dunce she was

Sha'tana's straightened herself up, "Sorry, I'm acting up. Its unprofessional." She smiled at Seven, "There's this... thing in my room that I really, really, really like to get rid of. If Ezekial can make things disappear, then..." she bit her lip. "Have you seen, Hex?" she asked the question to both Seven and Ezekial. "He used to hang in the Lobby all the time. Dark shadows appear around him. Nice, scary guy?" There was no use. He was gone. Obviously, no one would know where he'd went besides out the door, "Nevermind. I-I'm overreacting." She sighed. Control your emotions, control your emotions... she chanted in her head. She stood tall, trying to not falter.

The girl acted a bit awkward. She must be hiding something... Caspian thought. He liked mysteries, "Jaiden. Pretty name." He took her shaky hand and kissed it. Her skin was soft against his lips. Getting this much close to her, made her much more irresistible, "I haven't greeted a girl this way in years. What dimension are you from?" If she was human, she would take this as a joke. If she wasn't human, she could potentially answer some of his questions. Like Emyr, but hopefully with knowledge related to his people.

Ezekiel tilted his head. "Hex? Ehh never really met him. But I can see that you were fond of him Sha'. I'll make it disappear. How depends on what is keeping it." Ezekiel took a step fowards and placed a hand on Sha'tana's shoulder. "Aight lass, I told you not to go flirting with strangers like me. We dash and crash. Maybe he'll return.. Maybe not. I just want you know the reality on that, it's rare to see you in this state of.. Humh.. Depression I guess.. Anyway.." Ezekiel looked back towards Seven. "I think you can keep Sha' here company..." His eyes gazing like a dead mans stare. "If what I think is holding this something there.. What I am going to do isn't pretty." Ezekiel sighed and gave Sha'tana a single pat on her shoulder. "Aight.. Have fun." Ezekiel walked towards the stairs leading down to the lobby and of course down to Sha'tana's room.. Although it was a bit rare for Ezekiel to actually go down there of his own will.. Usually it was Sha'tana bringing him there if he had broken the hotel's rules. Now it was quite different. Now he had to break some of his own rules. he rolled up the sleeve of his right arm and studied the forearm. "A bloody work." The runes on it glowed faintly red. "Here I go. Walking down the path of the dead."

Oh my god he's hot and nice! don't make it worse don't make it worse She inhaled deeply and tried to calm herself, making her smile seem more genuine, this time giving it a slight giggle

"D-dimension?" she laughed and said "Earth 616" she said then tensed up This is the worst time geek out she shouted in her mind. Right then like a saving grace, her margarita was ready. "Ignore that, I'm just weird" she smiled before picking up her drink "big marvel fan, that's it." she exhaled sharply and took a large gulp of margarita before sitting down on a stool "I'm-I...Sorry. I get nervous."

Man, this women clearly doesn't give herself enough credit. She acts like you. I know. It... it's kinda concerning actually, did I actually do that? You still do that a lot. I wonder who this Hex guys is. Probably of her equivalent of Caleb, huh? Seven outwardly flinched.Oh Hell, I just- Seven, baby doll, I'm sorry. I'm over it, Phyra, it's over. Okay? Stop babying me. He broke my heart then died. It's in the past.... Let's hope this Hex guy doesn't die too after the heart breaking.

Seven looked up as Ezekiel looked at her, tilting her head slightly. "I think you can keep Sha' here company." after a lengthy muttering, he abruptly walked off. She opened her mouth as if to protest, but then sighed through her nose and looked to Sha'tana.

"I don't know you like at all and this is going to sound so weird and I'm really not the person to say this but I just want to put this out there because if what I'm assuming happened happened then I know how it is to have your heart broken and- Seven, breath. Right... Sorry. Ms. Sha'tana, you... you aren't overreacting. At all. And, eh, I'm not the best company so if you want to leave then that's okay..."

Ray entered the hotel, deeply exhaling a thick mist though his nostrils before kindly awaiting Gu to ask him if he needed help, Ray replying with "Just need a room please, maybe pointer to the bar?" After the exchange and a pointed finger towards the bar he was on his way, shoving his room key into his pocket before entering the establishment and quietly taking a seat. Looking at Algor with a subtle smirk, he pointed at a bottle of whiskey and tapped two fingers on the bar table signaling he wanted it "double". Ray looked around the bar while his drink was being prepared, seeing others talking before returning to his drink.

Sha'tana sighed relieved when Ezekial went off to fix her issue in her room. In her room? What was she thinking? He could be smoking up a storm in there just to be a rebel! Sha'tana was panicking in her thoughts while Seven was trying to comfort her. "I-I'm sorry!" She ran off behind Ezekial then stopped in front of a few guests. She gawked at the bald man first, "H-hi, I'm Sha'tana. Owner of the hotel. Welcome!" He didn't have any pupils. Strange... she thought. As much as she wanted to stare and analyze the strange bald man, she had Ezekial to watch over. She waved to the other guests as pleasantly as she could. There's a reason why she has Gu updating her on his, Ezekial's, every move. Gu raised his hand and was about to speak, "I already know! On my way!" She sped off towards her bedroom.

Caspian looked a bit disappointed to find that she was human. He looked in Emyr's direction and did a motion that looked like the decapitation of the head. Not going dig anything up from this human... Still infactuated with the girl, he decided to linger until she's had enough drinks. Which begs to question: Why did she come straight for drinks? He looked at her with curiousity, "Miss Marvel, why the sudden thirst?" He asked as he looked at her drink then back at her. He noticed someone sat near them at the bar, but he kept his focus on... his prize.

Jaiden felt a slight rush of warmth as she finished off her drink and placed the cup on the bar counter "It uh, calms me..." she hesitated and quickly thought of another excuse "Helps the creative juices flow. I paint and it helps. Motivation if you will" she was feeling better, but still extremely nervous. She was hoping he didn't notice, that she was just that good at hiding it, but knew that was preposterous. She swalled hard and inhaled, not realizing what she was doing until she actually spoke up "I-I could show you, we can paint in my room" she looked down at her key "Number #0042"

(Idk how to italicize on my phone so please bear with me)

"No no no!" She thought, standing up and turning around "You can barely handle him in public and you're asking him to your room? What're you thinking!?!?" She started freaking out again, partially hoping he would decline.

Emyr was a little surprised by the question, special powers? Like other people in the hotel? This place was definitely weird.

"Well I don't have any real powers, I can't breath underwater but I can hold my breath much longer than most species de to my snake half, I have a warrior background in my tribe so I can definitely manage myself in a fight." Emyr was nudged by Caspian "Would'ja look at that, hold that thought." and watched as he walked over to the girl.

"Good luck man."

Ezekiel quietly stepped into Sha'tana's room, he slowly turned and saw Sha'tana herself coming after him. ehh.. Don't.. It's for your own good Sha'. Ezekiel knelt down and made a ward in the doorway. "I'm sorry lass, but I think seeing me do this is just going to break your heart even more. So instead of my old times sigils.. ..This is to also keep me away.. If it happens." Ezekiel stood up produced a small piece of metal and poked his finger letting a few droplets of blood land on the circle. "Crux sancta sit mihi lux, Vade retro satana, Numquam saude mihi vana, sunt mala quae libas, ipse venena bibas." Ezekiel shut the door and locked it out of pure instincts and went over to the bed.. "I sense thee." Ezekiel lowered himself down and studied the black rose. "A curse and a gift.. Who.. Or rather what were you Hex?" Ezekiel raised his forearm and placed in besides the black rose. "Shite Sha', what I do to help you these days." Ezekiel reached under his coat and took out a piece of cloth, he put it between his teeth, focused on the rose. And with his free hand using the sharp metal piece to cut into his forearm. No need to make loud noises and bring her hopes up that I am dispelling it like with other objects.. Ngh.. This thing radiates energy. Ezekiel continued forming the rose as detailed as he could on his own arm, I need to be careful.. Oh.. And I probably need to pay Sha' for new bedsheets.. I don't think she would like my blood on her bed.

Since the circle was done and Ezekiel seemed to be busy, Artemis changed into her swimsuit and went down into the jacuzzi. There, she found the orange-haired girl, Casey. Casey waved her over and they began chatting about stuff. Innoculous little things, like Artemis's love of playing Boros in Magic and how their days had been going. They actually managed not to talk about anything occult.

Yet.

Rowan noticed her take off the eye patch and noted that her eyes were two different colors. "What pretty eyes you have, Abby," he said. "Why do you cover that eye up? Oh, right. The king and being different thing. Well, you don't have to worry about that here; it's honestly probably one of the least weird things I've seen, and not at all harsh on your face. Anyway, if you need to get to your room, I won't stop you. I should probably drop off all my stuff at mine. As for the flower, no problem. Someone like you deserves pretty flowers. I hope I'll be seeing you again."

"I hope so to. Later..." Abby managed to turn before letting a yawn distort her face, and slowly headed up the stairs. It didn't take very long, however, before she sat heavily on the steps and curled up. Screw it, I'll just sleep here. Who cares.

Ray took his drink, leaving proper payment for it before taking the glass and walking towards Jaiden and Caspain. Stopping beside the two before taking a sip of his beverage, his eyes flickering at the nervous girl then to the man she was speaking two. "Hello" he said with an attempt of cheerfulness. "I'm new to this place, anything to do other than drink?"

"No! No, no!" She exclaimed unhappily. "I can't let you in my room BY yourself!" She banged her door angrily. Keep your cool... she took in a deep breath. She looked around and saw Seven didn't come along. Sha'tana felt bad for running in the middle of her speaking. It seemed a bit insincere. She went back to apologize, "Sorry about that. I have... trust issues with Mr. Serafino." She looked back in the direction of her room, "He locked me out, the bastard." She smiled at Seven. Then wondered why she was wearing shades indoors, "Lights too bright in the hotel?"

Caspian gulped. Did she just invite me to her room? He nodded very slowly while looking at her questionably. "Room 42, huh?" In Caspian's head he's jumping around saying, 'Oh Yeaaah!' He gave her a smirk, "Do you paint nude men?" What he said was a bit daring, but he was in one of those daring moods at the moment. Nude sounded nice. Especially, if she was too. A bald man approached them. How inconvenient... Caspian thought. "Eh, I think the Asian guy has some maps. I used one to find me a shop to buy swim shorts." The man didn't look human. Caspian had to ask the random guy, but in a quiet tone, so Jaiden wouldn't hear, "Are you human?" Caspian had naturally teal hair. To himself, he was obviously not human looking, but humans usually assume he's gay or metro sexual.

Ray raised a brow at the mans question, he honestly didn't know. "I dont remember... Probably..?" he shrugged. "Things have been hard to remember since the chemo treatments." He signed though his nose, his exhale letting out a steam like mist as if a steam pipe cracked under pressure. "I'd guess not, cause of... this" he said, circling his face with a finger.

Sha'tana rushed off without even replying, and Seven sighed. True, she had expected her to leave, but it still stung that she left so abruptly. She leaned back against the wall and slid to the floor, leaning her head back and rubbing her eyes. She couldn't remember if she still had her shades on and gave herself a brief pat down to confirm that she had them on her face. She closed her eyes. Seven? Please, Phyra... I just need quiet. Alright, I can do that. Love you, baby girl. Love you too, Ma. It had always been odd sharing a body with Phyra, but over time they had formed a mother/daughter relationship that somehow also worked as a relationship akin to that of college dorm mates. Their bond was created along with a system of functioning and a way of life. It was like... a really intense sleep over with your best friend that never, ever ended.

Seven suddenly looked up as Sha'tana suddenly returned. "Sorry about that. I have... trust issues with Mr. Serafino. He locked me out, the bastard.Lights too bright in the hotel?" Seven tilted her head in minor confusion. What'd he lock her out of? Her room? Why? And why'd she ask about the lights? Oh, wait... her glasses.

"Oh, not at all. My eyes just tend to freak people out so I just wear these around," Seven explained. She reached up and removed her shades, standing as she did so. She looked at Sha'tana and shrugged. "Plus, my eyes give away what I am. So, I try to hide that usually."
