Fantasy The Random Hotel

Ezekiel nodded. "Well, that's understandable. In one way you're doing something good in this world on the other hand... Hunter's must be hated by the denizens of the underworld. So what's so special about these hunter clans? Eh.. If there is even anything special.. I mean different views.. Okay.. But that's a minor change of the clans.." Ezekiel scratched his head. "I mean.. I know a small group of werewolves that activly hunt other werewolves that have gone crazy.. Or atleast something like that.."

"Oh, you mean Luna's Hounds. I know of them, although my own cell doesn't have too much contact with them."

"Eh.. Luna's Hounds? Ehh.. Yeah.. I'm not really following around with the clans.. I mean.. I've probably met some of them and helped them or they have helped me.. But.. I've spent most of my life in the Exodus or Limbo... What about your own cell? Who are they?" Ezekiel asked curiously.

"We're... close-knit. My cell is formed mostly by my extended family. One of my ancestors founded it. She lived in a remote area not much frequented by hunters, and she did something about it. She got her family together and formed my cell, with the purpose of defending her town. We eventually branched out a bit."

Ezekiel nodded. "Oh.. Well thanks for history lesson, lass." He chuckled a bit. "Eh.. Well not to be rude about that.. Anyway.. A close-knit? Huh.. I would believe that has both advantages and disadvantages.. Well.. Not that I would know.. I've been through pretty much every type of relationships. So nothing special.. I guess" Ezekiel gazed at the wall with different weaponry. "And yet. I'm still the only Serafino in the world.. Heh."

"How did that come to be? Did you make up your last name?"

"It's a bit of both. My real name is Yechezqel. Which is better pronounced as Ezekiel. Now.. Serafino.. Or burning ones.. As it's a variant on Seraphim.. The highest-ranking angels.. It's a bit more different.. I, in a way.. Made it up.. And yet.. I was born into it.. As a Nephilim.. You are the child of man and angel. I don't know if I am the most powerful Nephilim.. Which I don't think so.. I have a hard time finding the other Nephilims.. But.. My mother was an angel and a fallen Seraphim. My father's last name was Serano. So.. I changed it a bit..

And it got stuck with me.. And my first few fifty or so of wives... Yeah.. I've lived a darn longer time than what can be seen on me. I age slowlier than a human. I've had children and long family trees.. But ... You know age kills.. Now a days I've just choosen to stick for myself.. Well..

I guess I went off trail there.. But yeah.. My last name is a combination of real and made up.. " Ezekiel had turned his attention back to Artemis.

"Good idea. Your first name was completely unpronouncable."

"Well.. It depends on who you are... But yeah.. Rather just change my first name instead of trying to correct every single being that tries to pronounce my name..." Ezekiel shifted his pose and continued speaking. "What about yourself Artemis? "

Rowan opened the doors of the strange hotel with a bang and sauntered up to the front desk, asking for a room. After finding out that the receptionists name was Gu and signing in, he grabbed the key to his new room and looked around the lobby, His eyes landed on a lonely girl looking in disgust,or was it horror?, at the stairs and said, "Hey there, Dollface. Can I help you with anything?"

Abby stiffened and turned to see who the voice belonged to. After a moment she relaxed. He didn't look like anyone bad... Then she realized he was looking right at her. "Ah... Are you talking to me?" She asked, trying to command her voice into something somewhat strong.

"I just didn't realize..." She trailed off, quickly checked to make sure her eyepatch was fastened correctly, then frowned. "Dollface? Me?"

"Yes," Rowan said, nodding. "You have quite the cute face. Do you want me to call you something else?"

"Well, I prefer my real Name. It's Abbigail, but it's alright if you call me Abby." Abby paused, then pulled a face. "Just not Gail. Anything other than Gail is alright with me." She examined him curiously. "And... What should I call you?"

Rowan thought for a moment. "Abbigail, huh? What a pretty name!" he said. "My name is Rowan Elwood. Of course, you can just call me Rowan, or Mr. Elwood, if you'd like. But I do prefer Rowan, especially with pretty ladies like you. So, Abby, what brings you to this hotel?"

Abby hesitated. How much information is too much? I'm not going to tell a lie, but if exclude a bit of truth... "Me and a few of my friends tried to run away from these soldiers, and..." She paused a bit and frowned. "And I managed to come here. I don't know what happened to the rest of them."

Rowan frowned sympathetically. Then, he said, "That really bites. What kind of soldiers were they? And why were they chasing after you and your friends? Are you some type of criminal?"

Abby shook her head rapidly. "No, no criminals. It's because... I think they went adter us because we had abilities the king didn't." She went quiet. "I think he was afraid of us..." Abby sighed then gave a small smile. "But hey, I'm alive, aren't I? At least there's that."

Malcolm reflected a bit on what he had just heard. "Damn." He said quietly, his face mocked with annoyance. He had so dearly hoped this was gonna be the end of it. He sighed before saying "Then that is that contract I do believe, as there are no other clues, and in any case, any way to get to the other beings." Malcolm thought for a moment, before asking "Do you know, by any chance, somebody who may be able to see who have casted the spell that preserved the hand? If I can figure out who it is, I may be able to get some gear to temporarily change the properties of the portal leading in to this place." Malcolm scratched his chin, clearly trying to think up a situation or a possibility how he in any way could change his destination. If it at all would be possible to do with what was at his disposal.

HEAD OF THE HOTEL

She thought for a moment when he asked her if she knew anyone suspect-able for the severed, preserved hand. She shook her head and continued to listen in to his spoken thoughts. Sha'tana, then, gave Malcom an unhappy look, "No one is altering the portal of my hotel." She spoke with her chin high. She looked around to see if Ajax or Ezekial were around, "We currently have two guests whom I believe can resolve your problem." She finished the last bites of her food, "I know for sure Mr. Serafino can create portals..." she tapped on her chin as she thought of Ajax, "I don't know Ajax well. He's a new guest, but I have seen him use spells that can manipulate his location." She looked from her empty plate to Malcom. She hoped she has given enough information to help him further investigate the preserved hand. "Would you like to see the guest list with Gu or speak with Mr. Serafino or Sir Ajax?"

Rowan chuckled. "Yeah, being alive is pretty great, isn't it?" He ran a hand through his hair and continued, "Speaking of having more abilities than someone, I know what you mean. Everyone I know is envious of my wide range of power, often leading to them wanting to kill me, or something like that." He smirked. "Luckily, I'm too good to be killed."

Abby paused, the grinned. "Wow, you can do stuff too? But you look pretty normal..." She eyed him up and down, looking for something off or different than a regular person. "What can you do?"

Rowan lifted his chin and beamed proudly. "Why, I'm an amazing alchemist," he bragged. "In my country, I am both well-known and, in some cases, feared or hated." He pulled out a shining philosopher's stone from his bag and clapped his hands together. He pulled them apart, revealing a delicate rose that seemed to be made of silver and gold. He offered it to Abby. "That's not real gold and silver, of course. That would be a waste of my talents and a philosopher's stone. Here, you can keep it."

"I am named after the greek goddess of the moon and hunting. I suppose my parents were hoping that my name would foresee the path that I would lead."

"Ah. Artemis Agrotera, Potnia Theron. Twin sister to Apollo. She is also the goddess of the wild animals, childbrith and ironically virginity too.. A good question why she would have those last aspects... They don't really seem to work together.. Mysteries of the ancient gods." Ezekiel sneezed and had a surprised expression. "Oh darn.. Someone is talking about me. Ehmmh... You're here.. So that is out.. Who else knows me well? Ajax do... Then there is Sha'tana... Hmmh.." Ezekiel pondered onwards.
