Jessica smiled cheerfully, she didn't know why some where staring at her like she was an alien, either way she nodded at Veronica, "Yeah! I'd be happy to help" she said. She turned to look at the boy who hadn't responded to her, or even introduced himself. She felt something in her gut that told her that he was important but she had never even seen him before. She realized that she was staring and she started to get on to work helping to gather supplies.

"Of course! But it's going to be easier to cut down from a stump than a tree! Look how high up the branches a-" Before she could finished her sentence, she tripped over a rock and fell down a slope, rolling for a good five feet before finally falling in a steep hole. "Ow.." She muttered, blinking hazily before having her eyes widened as she was enshrouded by darkness. She felt around for her sickle, before stroking her index finger across the end of it, cutting her finger tip. "OW!" She yelped out, flinching, before making her way down to it's handle. She sighed with relief, glancing back up to see the hole she fell into. "Don't worry! I can get out of h..." Her voice was cut off, and she became alerted and stared forward as a low growl occupied her ears, sending shivers down her spine while her legs fell nearly limp. Then, the figure of a large animal proceeded to crawl out from beneath a burrow deep beneath the ground. The area was filled with the nimble bones from small prey, which seemed to be scattered practically everywhere. The leaves crinkled beneath Victorias feet as she took a step back, her entire body shaking as she intensely stared within the creatures eyes, petrified by true fear. She felt the heels of her shoes sink deep into the mud and the mud then sloshed inside them, so she had to pull her feet out of them and took a step back, only to flinch in pain as she cut her foot on a rock protruding from the ground. She was forced into the area just behind her, which was entirely made of pure dirt and mud. Not fun to have to press her back against it. Yet she maintained the grasp on her sickle. This certainly went from 0 to 100 really quick. As it prowled closer, she got a better view of the animal. It's ears were small and circular and were directly atop it's head, with a stern jaw and a magnificent lengthy sleek black pelt, yet it's piercing yellow eyes only showed that it would love to get a bite out of her, with a bright and glossy yellow color to them, their pupils a pure midnight black and viper like, directly focused on her. Victoria could only stare in shock as it's jaw opened and it lapped it's long tongue across it's piercing fangs in it's top jaw, it's long claws unseathing and scraping across the sand and muck in the ground, it's heavy and enormous paws leaving imprints within the ground. It was now entirely out of it's large burrow, which was reeking of a foul iron like smell-as well as the animal itself. The panther was a mere foot away now, and Victoria let out a shrill yell as it pounced forward despite diving down to the ground. As it closed in on her, its foul breath occupied her nostrils and she cringed in disgust-and didn't want to accept what she had to do. But she had to do it for her own safety. Upon lifting the sickle she felt her heart beat begin to pound in her ears before it halted to a stop as the cougar rammed into her stomach and knocking her out of breath, she aimlessly swiped and managed to go through its skin beneath it's jaw, until it scratched her shoulder. Luckily the injury was delivered to the arm not holding the sickle, so she still had a chance. She slammed it back near the cougars rump and began sinking it in, being forced to look away as it made disgusting sounding noises as it's flesh not only split apart-but also it's muscle, the weapon being slipped beneath it's muscle like slime, and she yanked it forward to only tear to its nape, slowly turning her head back and covering her mouth as she saw it bleeding out, droplets of crimson blood clumping within it's fur as the bare bone alone seemed to leave it unstable, and it fell over. She glanced over it's back only to see that when she'd reached the back of the neck it had torn into it's throat and pierced the roof of their mouth. Victorias vision became blurred with hot tears, her face flaring a bright red as regret overcame her. No living thing deserved this misery, and there was certainly no way it could live without any treatment-but she hadn't the heart to finish it off, especially because she likely didn't have the strength to either because her right arm had fallen limp and felt incredibly numb, a mingling sensation going through it as she let it fall to her side when she found herself incapable of lifting it without a stinging pain striving through her entire body.

(I know it kind of happened out of nowhere-but I just wanted something to happen.)

Jack Rosenfeld- woods

Jack heard a loud snap and some growling from not too far away, so he redirected himself towards the sound to investigate. He found a girl lying on the ground with a half-dead twitching panther lying next to her. He didn't even notice that the girl was in pain; food was his first priority at this point. "Nice catch," He said to her. He leaned over the animal's body and slit its throat to end its suffering. "Looks like I've got dinner for tonight," Jack said. "You planning on eating this? There's not a lack of wood around us, we could cook it up real quick I bet."

@GingerDeer

Sam

Sam was carrying back firewood to where he woke up when he stepped in a ditch. This caused Sam to go sprawling onto the ground, grumbling curses Sam picked himself off of the ground. "Hello?" Sam looked up to a voice calling out. "Bretton?" Sam quickly picks up the pieces of wood before dusting some dirt off of his shoulder. Sam walks out, his olive green bomber jacket now zipped, his hair tousled, his black combat boots smeared with wet sand, and his tan cargo pants dirty at his ankles and knees. Looking ahead, he sees a dirty blonde girl on the sand looking in his direction. He makes direct eye contact with her before walking past her and heads over to the weapons chest. He then sets the collected down carefully and walks near the water. @RandomFoodGirl

Arista inched over to the edge of the hole, and glanced down. "Jeez, what the hell Victoria..." she coughed out, "... You okay, or anything? Need any help from down there? Uh..." She slowly stepped down into the slope, making sure she didn't trip or fall down into it, digging her dull fingers within the soft dirt to make sure she still had a grip with one hand, her mace with the other. When she got to the bottom, she made her way to the mess that just happened. The panther was dead, surely, but Victoria appeared extremely injured as well. Must have had done a number on her, seeing as she was in pain. But there was another thing she has noticed. Another man.

She looked up over towards him with squinted, her eyebrows scrunched. "That's funny," she spoke dryly, "That's what I just said. Though, she was looking for wood, said it would be easier to get a stump instead of the branches. She thought I meant straight from the trees..." She sighed harshly, wondering if it would be too much of a pain to carry her. Well, she did manage to weaken that panther. She took a step closer to the man, holding a heavier grip on her mace, "Now, the real question I should be asking... Who the hell are you? Where did /you/ come from?"

Juliette

Juliette sees the one who made the sounds, they make eye contact before he brushed past her and walks to a spot on the beach, dumping his stuff, he then walks to the water. Juliette follows.

"Please... I lost my brother, please, help me? I.. I don't know what else to do.. Bretton is the brains just... Please?"

It had gotten colder since Bretton disappeared, and Juliette is now feeling the cold stab of the island air, she steps closer to the boy, into the moonlight, her pale face reflecting, making her eyes shimmer.

"Please help me? Just for the night, I will be gone by sunrise just... Please.?"

Juliette normally isn't one to beg, but knowing that she is on her own for the night is too much for her. And knowing that Bretton will worry if he doesn't find her,nor if he finds her frozen....

"Look, I know, I am just this strange girl that you don't know but. I'm alone here... So.. This strange girl is asking for your help... Look, if it helps, I can take first watch so you can sleep, just don't leave me here alone."

(Mentioned: @Xx Cosmic Storm xX )

"..." Victoria glanced back to the unknown man and then to Arista, quite uncomfortable in her position while ignoring the fact that Arista had just aggressively confronted him. "Well, I mean...t-this thing is pretty big. Would be entirely possible to split it among a fair number when the group gets back together soon, you know?" She then stood, having to lean on the wall to prevent her knees from giving out, relieved to finally get a breather. "I can stand, but if you want to eat that thing then just...you two just drag it up there. I don't exactly have the strength to do that-I can probably barely get up there myself." Admitted Victoria, still not exactly used to the scene that'd just unfurled. "Hopefully this wound will eventually get better, though...hopefully. It's not exactly going to stay uninfected if not treated." She sighed, glancing back up to where she'd fallen from. How in lords name was she going to be capable of getting up there herself when she was like this?

Abraham Wells

Abram stiffened when he approached the noise near him. He was holding on desperately to one of his knives; his knife pack strapped under his arm. The noise had been coming from a tree. Abram's heart rate began to climb. He had threatened the teenagers that it wouldn't be wise to approach him, but the more he thought about it, the more he realized that he would die on the island (or wherever the hell they were) if he didn't get some help from someone. Abram turned to see the view of the ocean from the trees. When he'd first woken up, he'd been so startled and alarmed by Leon and all the teenagers that he hardly paid the landscape any attention. As he stared into the ocean, he thought about how vast it was. Abram almost wished that he could be a sailor - not locked up in confinement or stranded on a jungle-like island with a bunch of helpless teenagers (like himself). A tree was blocking the rest of the view of the ocean. As Abram searched his surroundings, he noticed a girl sitting on a branch. He remembered seeing her body in the sand. Abram contemplated talking to her or running away. If he decided to run, there was a strong possibility that he'd die...But if he talked to her...

Abram sneaked closer to the tree, getting a better look at the girl. She had flowing brunette hair and a few freckles sprinkled gently across her face. He then pointed the knife at her to play it safe. "Why aren't you with the others?" he stammered, not knowing what else to say.

Sam

Listening to her plead, Sam's face remained emotionless. Turning around, he walked down the beach. He stopped, turning around. "Coming?" He asked his dark brown hair gently being blown by the sea breeze. He clenched his sharp jaw; his face flawless in the pale moonlight. His light brown eyes skimmed her small figure. He stood up straighter, probably standing an inch taller. He bit his lip, waiting for her to follow.

"Hey.." He said with a slight warning in his voice. "I'm Jack. I'm from the beach, and I'm just looking for a nice meal. If you're willing to give up some of this meat, then I'll be on my way. Okay?" He stood up and positioned himself a couple paces away from the girl. "remember," he continued, "I don't want to hurt you, but I will if I have to."

Arista snorts at the threat, noting how confident it appeared to sound to her. Like he could do anything to her. She lifted the heavy mace with ease, resting end of the handle on her shoulder. But, she also decided it wouldn't be best to make a new enemy this early. He wouldn't be worth a fight, it appeared, and to be completely honest, he appeared an annoyance. She held a crooked, mocking smile, and motioned towards the panther with her open hand, with her palm open. "Whatever you say, buddy," she growled, her pressing extra force on the 'buddy' part, "Take what you need, and only what you need, alright?"

Location: Nearing the Center of the island

Centering myself against the rock I begin to climb up the steep mountain region of the island. So far no one else really seemed to remember the fact that they've all been given textbooks and forced to learn things since our birth. Grabbing the edge of a small cliff before pulling himself up to see the epicenter of the island, looking back towards everyone else. worried about the others turning on one another, Alpha decided to hold out on the cliff side for awhile. He listened to the birds and running streams clearly for the first time since being brought to the island, waiting cautiously for the other groups of kids to wined up near him. Taking precious precautions to ensure his own safety of course, setting up several makeshift traps from trees and dummies made of mostly logs in case they come at night fall. Alpha began to wait for them, drinking some of his stream water that he sifted and double boiled.

Jack Rosenfeld- Woods

"Okay." Jack said, bending over to take a cut of meat from the animal's hindquarters. He took a slab about the size of a dinner plate, more than enough to last him a few days if he rationed. His stomach was growling and he expected himself to be salivating at the thought of a rich dinner, but instead he found his mouth painfully dry. "Have either of you found water yet?"

Leon Kron - the woods

Something about Jessica looked so oddly familiar he noticed that earlier as he saw her in the beach sleeping, he tried to remember maybe they met before? but he couldn't recall anything. Leon realized he should probably introduce himself "I am Leon, nice to meet you." Leon smiled he was about to continue but he heard Veronica fall, he quickly rushed towards the edge of the slope. He grabbed his bow and pulled an arrow from his quiver as he saw the panther, he steadied himself and aimed but before he could take his shot Veronica manged to handle it herself. He released a sigh of relief as Veronica seemed to be okay, she was hurt but it didn't look like anything too serious. He watched as another man came forward and took a slice out of the now dead panther then ask for water "We didn't find any water, but the other might have we should gather some wood and take the panther back to the beach, the others might have already found water and built shelter." Leon said, "Are you okay Veronica?" Leon then added and felt bad for not being the first thing he said.

ARISTA - In the woods

Arista averted her gaze. "Welp, nope! Not me! But I'm sure the others would have," she said casually, "I just came here a few moments ago, so..." The girl trailed off, before having noticed someone walk to the rest of the group.

She turned over towards Leon, with scrunched eyebrows and a frown. "Isn't it obvious?" she said, albeit a little forcefully, "Of /course/ she isn't! Her right arm is all mangled, messed up and bloody." Though, she didn't exactly sound disgusted and grossed out by the sight, in fact, she seemed alright, she merely only thought of the question as ridiculous and dumb. Couldn't he see her state? She huffed heavily, allowing the end of her mace to rest on the ground. "Though, it wasn't like she's going to die now. I'm Arista, by the way. Thanks for introducing yourself to me, I guess!"

Beach - Forest - Hill

The young woman, having been completely ignored by every other person who had seen her, walked away from the beach, the innocence in her face slowly melting away as it was replaced by the cold emotionlessness the scientists had witnessed. She pulled her jacket off of her arms, tying the denim around her waist so it wouldn't be in her way as she walked toward the sound of a stream. The others probably hadn't noticed too much of it yet, since they all looked to her to be not exactly the brightest, though some seemed amusing to play with. The girls were fighting over the boys attention when she'd been watching the group, each looking fragile - except the one with the mace of course. Walking through the undergrowth she attempted different styles of steps to find those that made the least noise, accomplishing that task just as she heard the sound of voices.

The air tasted metallic, thick, and had the distinct markings of death. Something had died nearby, and recently too. Sneaking through the shadows of the foliage, she came across a group of three, two females and a male, crowded together. The one with the mace looked annoyed, while the smaller female was injured, covered in blood. The male was concerned, paying too much attention to the girls so that he likely would not notice the presence of another nearby. Watching them for a moment she learned their faces before turning away and continuing on to the faint sound of water. Any they found inside of the island would most likely be fresh and cleaned by the natural system here. It was a shame that they didn't look for the proper books when they were inside of the facility, but none of them could have imagined being left on an island to survive on their own.

Brushing her bangs out of her face, the girl glanced around the base of a large tree, listening intently for the things around her as she tried to locate the source of a set of footprints nearby. A bush rustled, catching her eye to the left, a streak of red pushed by her. A fox. She darted forward, seeing the animal turn and being fleeing from her before she stumbled on an overgrown root. She felt her ankle twist, her toes caught beneath the root though her hand managed to catch the tail of the animal before it got too far. Pulling it toward her, it fought against her, pulling its tail before turning on her. Sharp teeth clamped onto her bare wrist, blood dripping between it's fangs before fear clouded it's gaze. It had spotted the knife in her other hand. That knife was the last thing it would ever see.

Alyssa, having realized after her fall, had given a rather large shout in her surprise and pain. With such a sound to attract possible predators and those who would steal her prey, she had to keep moving. Pushing herself up into a sitting position she thought back to when she had been reading about plants and natural remedies, she knew what around her would be poisonous to the touch. Glancing around, her foot held out at an awkward angle, she reached up and pulled on a vine hanging from the tree.
"Perfect." Pulling it until it would not come down any further, she cut off the vine and coiled it on her lap, knowing it would make useful for traps and bindings. There were large leafed bushed near her, big enough to carry the small fox inside of for now. She wrapped her hand in strips of the leaf, tying it off like she would a piece of cloth before she managed to stand, the fox hanging over her shoulder. Her daggers back on her hips, the length of vine wrapped around her torso, she continued her journey.

She was unsure how long it had been since she had found the fox, but by the time she broke the tree line, she was limping almost too badly to walk any further. It was swollen nearly halfway up her calf, the skin bruising badly. She estimated two fully broken bones and a bad twist, but there was no way to be sure by then. Leaving the forest, she stepped into the clearing, looking up at the hill before her. There was someone standing on it, friend or foe, she knew she was going to need their help. When they looked in her direction she waved weakly, trying to smile, before stumbling to the ground.

Juliette
Juliette's eyes flicker to the boys face and she dart across the sand to stand next to the tall man. She looks up at him and nods, waiting for him to start moving again. Juliette's light eyes dart around, searching the dark beach for any sign of her twin brother. When she finds none, her heart flops, she knows very well that this is her only chance to find Bretton before she has to migrate with this new stranger.

"I'm Juliette.." She bites her lip, not used to the whole socializing thing and hoping that the two wont be forced to talk very often as she feels that they would both feel more comfortable without it.

Who with: so far just Allysa and me

Next action: waiting for others to find us or join us.

Watching as the girl before him struggled to smile before collapsing to the ground. Climbing down the ridged terrain with natural ease, to find the girl almost unconscious and injured. Using what he learned from the medical journals they forced him to study back in the facility, Alpha was able to patch her wounds up and stop the pain and bleeding. Crushing some plants he had grabbed earlier up into an herbal pain reliever, and sharing his food with her. Carrying her back to his original position on top of the steep hill once they had finished eating, not a word between them was spoken thus far.

Name: Carmen Powell

Location: In a tree by the beach

Mentions:@Shaul

Carmen was having a good time, sitting on a branch od her newly proclaimed sitting tree. She was simply shaving off the bark with her dagger to make it more comfortable, letting it fall to the sand beneath her. It was pretty absentminded work, and she was mostly thinking about not cutting her hand off, and what the hell was going on right now. She figured that while it would be difficult, with all the people they had, it wouldn't be too hard to survive.

She had seen the boy benath her, watching the ocean, but had not recognized him as the same man who had pointed a knife at one of the other teens. That is, until she found herself on the other side of his knife. She found herself slightly threatened, but less so as she was in a tree and he was on the ground. Plus, she was confident enough in her own knife skills to find the situation much less scary.

"Well, for the time being I'm pretty sure there are enough people in the woods. I don't think I could be that much help to them anyways." She shrugged, And added "seriously, you gotta stop pointing that thing at people, its pretty rude."

"I'm sorry-but I really need to get this cleaned. Can we just get some water, and, well...basically purify it to run through this and then bandage it? Wrap something around it? Anything? I really just can't leave this unattended..." She spoke, with worry clear in her tone as her voice constantly quivered. "Uhm, Arista, could you please help me get up there?" Certainly the girl would be agitated when she had to, but Arista was certainly capable of doing it and knew perfectly well Victoria stood no chance of getting back up after nearly getting mauled by a cougar. It was her last resort to have to ask the aggressive woman, but it was worth simply being delivered a nasty scowl and aid if it meant getting out of this disgusting rat-like hole.

Sam says nothing to Juliette's introduction. Sam didn't like to introduce himself, he was always just... there. So why start now. Sam watched her, he eyes darting across the beach for any sign of her brother. He wasn't sure what he looked like but most likely something like her, as they were siblings. She was very skeptical, as she should be. Her brother just went missing and she's stuck with him. Sam felt bad, he didn't like talking to people but if she was going to be worried the whole time, she'd be a burden. Juliette's thinking would be irrational and unpredictable, just as Sam hated. He hoped she didn't let losing her brother get to her head, because she would endanger Sam needlessly and Sam would be forced to leave her to fend for herself.

He took a deep breath before walking down the beach, hearing her little pitter patter of her feet, squish the sand behind him. He looked along the treeline and hoped he'd come out soon and wasn't in trouble because Sam was NOT in the mood for Rescue Team Sammy Search Squad today. Annoyed, he bit his lip and trekked on.

@RandomFoodGirl

Juliette let out a small sigh and nodes to herself, accepting that Bretton is probably better off at the moment, she quietly followed the strange boy, she smiles Scotty to herself at the thought that someone could be kind enough to let her join. Brittany looked out at the sky, she watches the starts shine.

"He's fine." Juliette quietly assures the duo, "He's smart and strong, I'm sure he will be fine, just for the night." Juliette plays with her fingers, "He would be very grateful that you are here helping me right now, I'm sure that if he were here he would be thanking you a million times for helping me..." Juliette smiles to herself and looks down at the sand, she silently prays for Bretton to show soon, as she doesn't want him to be hurt. But she knows that she can't let it get to her.

Juliette pulls the Katana from its holster and plays with the tip, she had been training with swords for a long while now and she is sufficient in it... Although she really doesn't want to use it, she is afraid that she might have to.

"If we need food or anything, I'm pretty good at hunting, and I know how to make my own bows and arrows from wood, so..."

The young woman had been on her rear when the man on top of the hill ran down to greet her. He was taller than her, with dark hair and light eyes, much like herself. He had been busy apparently, by himself though the hill was a good place to camp for the night. They could see everything around them, and if they set up a fire it should ward off any predators. Having been carried up hurt her pride slightly, or rather the lack thereof, though she didn't let him see how devoid of emotion she was.

Sitting on the grass, her leg extended out in front of her, she glanced at what he had so far before pulling the dead fox over to her.
"Thank you." Without looking at him she expressed her gratitude for coming to help her after her emergence from the forest. Her left hand hurt dully, though he had managed to make the bleeding stop and the swelling go down she knew she wouldn't have much use of it for a few hours.

Using her good hand she inspected her quarry, finding it gladly undamaged save for the wound she had killed it with. Unfortunately it hadn't been safe to stay in the forest and gut the animal to make it easier to carry.
"Do you mind gutting this by the trees? Whatever predators show up and be satisfied with that after dark." Alyssa looked up at the man with emerald green eyes, practical and logical though seemingly sad at having to kill the animal. She almost looked afraid as well, unsure of what was going to happen in the time to come.
