Is it possible to claim one of the six heroes but not create a character for them until after? (I'm thinking of balancing the heroes out a little so I have a magic dude, a DPS dude and a tank and I don't know which one to use)

I would limit the heroes to one per player. And if someone drops out, there will be openings. In the roleplay, people who drop out will have their character end up leaving in a funny way (such as "got eaten by house sized cockroach", "jailed for publicly urinating against a statue of the king", "kidnapped by obsessive lover" etc.

I doubt that all heroes spots will be taken that quickly. If you dont know what to make, just wait until others have made characters.

- How did the heroes become heroes? Like was it kinda like 'destiny has chosen you!!'
- is it like a superhero team but like with the mall as homebase lol?
- is demon fighting a big thing in this world and have we as a group been doing it a while? Or are we new recrruits
- are we.all like min wage/unemployed or can we be from upper class and the mall just some place we all gather?
- is there an organization in charge of us? And do we get a salary lol

I would limit the heroes to one per player. And if someone drops out, there will be openings. In the roleplay, people who drop out will have their character end up leaving in a funny way (such as "got eaten by house sized cockroach", "jailed for publicly urinating against a statue of the king", "kidnapped by obsessive lover" etc.

1. They won a competition and proved themselves to be the strongest in the nation or at least the strongest who decided to come forward.
2. No. The heroes are not superheroes, but rather fantasy type heroes. They just hang around the mall because they are lazy and irresponsible. They should actually be fighting demons instead.
3. Like every 200 years or so, a war breaks out between demonkind and the rest of the world. So far, these wars have either resulted in stalemates or just tactical losses/victories. It is not like any side has ever been annihilated. The heroes are just this generations spearhead against the demon threat.
4. Background doesn't matter regarding the heroes. Though it could become a thing of contention within the group chemistry if anyone is arrogant enough.
5. No. If anything, then just the adventurer's guild and/or the sponsorship by nobles. But the heroes are mostly responsible for their own income. They might get like an unconditional basic income just for being heroes, but it would only be enough for food and cheap shelter.

Heroes can be humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, demi-humans or ogres. Demons however cannot be heroes.

You can have one hero and several side characters, as long as you can play them all. But dont make excessive amounts. Let's put the number at four characters max per player.

Magic and combat skills.

Magic types: Elemental (fire, water, earth, air), healing, combat (enhancement), enchanting, summoning, illusion, abyssal, necromancy, "contract magic", druidism [transforming into an animal, speaking with animals]

Note: Contract magic is not combat magic. It is to force people to abide by mutually agreed to agreements

What things can you summon? Creatures made of ink or other substance?

Living creatures or creatures you have a contract with such as a dire wolf, bears, slimes etc. Just bear in mind that summoning needs a lot of mana. So summoning dragons or legendary creatures are impossible to summon. A realistic summon would be aforementioned dire wolves, bears, slimes or for flying summons: Gryphs or lesser wyverns.

That is the intention of having flying animals though.

And to be not OP, maybe have at most five expert proficiency skills. I usually have expert skills, intermediate skills and basic skills.
