Fantasy The heretics

Mia's look became sad. "He seems better than me. He lays there and relaxes, he seemed kinda happy about his healing spell and", she giggled, "complimented me.", she said and then smiled at Saccharin. She took out a paper, it was blank, except having red parts on it.

Kadia stood awkwardly in the group. She wasn't really good at talking unless it was to insult them. She focused her attention back on the group. "...I hate my mouth," is what she heard Mark say. "You're not alone," she whispered softly, barely audible. She tried to say something, "I... I," was all that came out before she became quiet again. At least I managed to say one thing so far, she smiled faintly. Recently, she'd started to become aware that the things she said hurt people. She couldn't help it, ever since her parents died almost everything she said was bitter or rude. She was never aware before that she sometimes made people feel bad, it was because she suddenly started surrounding herself with people that she could see their reactions clearly.

Raphael looks around the battlefield, seeing that everyone who was wounded seems to be getting the help that they need. People are milling about, talking to each other about the battle or other things. He lets out a long sigh. While the reinforcements are helping out, he feels this would be a good time to take advantage of some much needed rest.

There is a large tree close by, providing welcoming shade from the afternoon sun. He walks over and sits down beside the tree. He closes his eyes and begins to meditate. This meditation was taught to him by his fire magic teacher. It is designed to help him regain his strength quickly. Casting fire magic is very taxing on ones energy. As he meditates, he keeps an ear open for any sign that the group is moving out.

"I hope you haven't forgotten about our mission. This was merely the beginning. We are to report to Tulkan Castle for guard duty." Neil stated in a neutral tone. Though, it would be a good idea to send word to the academy of their progress. He observed the krezoc's physique, "Surely, we have others who are more suited to the task of running a message for us. We could really use your strength at Tulkan."

Kadia's stomach grumbled. She reached into her pockets, trying to find something to eat and then she realized the state of her clothes. "I'm filthy," she muttered, she was covered in blood, mud and sweat. She shuddered, "I hope I can wash these clothes soon, I haven't been this dirty in ages and I'm homeless!" she chuckled to herself.

Noah propped himself up into a sitting position and turned his head twords Mark, "I'll give you one chance," he said while standing up, and brushing himself off, "we can rest at the village, there should be more than enough space for us," he said while motioning I'm the direction of the village.

Percy was suddenly next to her. "Tsk, tsk!" He said. "My, the state of you! Is there anything I could do to end your pain? I can easily find a suitable bath. Why, think of how much help I would be for you!"

The Krezoc neutrally shrugged. "I suppose so," he said, not exactly looking forward to guard duty after missing the encounter with the bandits. "Lead the way," he said with a sigh, following Noah.

(yay! @Ashaficent @CodeCJD @Lefic @Eagershadow3 )

The village of Arroyo, a rather prosperous farming village, as such it had attracted the attention of the Order of Clarity, who had a temple erected near the center of the village. Sotha was limping as they walked into town, his wounds gradually getting worse. " Come on, she's not too far now..."He said, nearly falling over. He hadn't been able to treat his wounds, and add that to using blood magic, he was rather weak. Stepping up to a rather large house. He then yelled out. "Mom! We have compan- Urk! "Sotha jerked as he yelled, finally falling to his knees, then reached for his side. Where the blade had bit him, the wound had re-opened. "Dammit....."

A woman, who bore the posture of a knight, and had the appropriate scars to boot, stepped out of the house, full in her armor. She looked like she had just been practicing or training. A look of terror on her face, she jumped down, and ran over towards Sotha. This was Adara Larvae, Sotha's foster mother. She leaned down, helped Sotha up. "Oh sweet mother Earth, Sotha what happened?!"She said frantically. Obviously, she was a believer in the Old religion, that the Earth was their literal creator, no god or goddess.

"I'll be fine, I made it this far........We have people that are injured, can you help us?" He said, though he was by no means objecting to the help he was receiving. Obviously, at this point, he thought it would be pointless to refuse.

Adara would look around, seeing the others. She then saw Cinder. " Cinder!....Okay, everyone follow me, I'll get you inside the house. "She said, helping Sotha walk. She was rather strong, for her stature.

Kadia rubbed her eyes, she was already tired from the journey. "This is a nice place to stop." She followed Sotha's mother into the house. "Hey, is there anywhere I can wash my clothes? I've just come out of a battle," she asks. Practically everyone, apart from some lucky mages or archers, are covered in blood. She spreads her arms to draw attention to her clothes, all over she is covered in, dirt, blood, guts and there are sweat patches on her clothes. She takes a sniff of her body and gags, "Y'know, I don't think my clothes are the only thing that need washing."

Neil followed Noah's and Sotha's lead, and arrived at the large house where an ironclad woman appeared. This must be his mother, he thought. She was very hospitable, allowing them all to enter her home. "These accommodations should get most everyone back to their usual battle-ready selves in no time." He follows the woman into the house and many are already making themselves at home or asking where they can get cleaned up. The injured were set on the more comfortable furniture. "I will assist with the medical treatment of our wounded."

Kadia sees Neil, "I'm not that good at healing, but I can stop bleeding and heal minor injuries if you'd like me to help." Kadia stares at Neil for a bit, where have I seen him before? Then she remembered, "Oh! You're the man who gave Saccharin a healing vial when he was injured, thanks for that." Then she rolled up her sleeves, preparing to start healing. Even if Neil refused her help, she wouldn't listen. Kadia just felt so bored without having anything to do and when she didn't have anything to do she naturally resorted to stealing from people, which wasn't ideal since she was around allies.

Adara proceeded to lead everyone to the second floor, and arrived to a large room that appeared to be a study. Setting Sotha against the wall, she held out her hands, and pushed them out, using magic to neatly set everything against the walls. Clearly, she was a mage of no small talent. She then used said magic to lay out bedrolls, towels, or anything that could be used for bedding in neat squares. "Everyone that is injured, please take a seat and I'll be with you shortly. Those that are not, proceed behind the house, the bath-house there is a good spot to get cleaned and it's separated for males and females. "she said, getting to work tending Sotha. She then turned towards Kadia and Neil. "Thanks you two, but that won't be necessary. If you have any wounds, then sit down and I'll get you patched up. If not, then go in the back and get cleaned up, I won't be long. "She said, pressing her hands to Sotha's body.

Her hands began to glow a bright green, as Sotha's breathing began to relax. The flesh that was visibly wounded began 'knitting' itself back together, and occasionally yellowish puss was removed. Obviously, the spell was both healing and disinfecting the wounds. It appeared her time at war gave her much-needed skill at her craft.

The House itself was decorated with items of value, both sentimental and material. Those of material value were under lock and spell, while those that were sentimental were on display. She had her military armor and weapons on display, along with a flag of the rebellion that created the kingdom. Obviously, she was very proud of her service to the kingdom. On shelves and book cases, there were old magical tomes, gathered from her travels.

"If you have any healing skill at all, I'm sure you'd be more than helpful," Neil admitted. "No need to thank me. I always prepare a few for long journeys in case of such a situation. I learned a bit of potion-making from the-" His speech was interrupted by the words of Adara, telling them they were not needed. Neil was taken aback. She can handle all of these patients at once... all by herself?! He watched in awe as Sotha's wounds were quickly healing with amazing cleanliness. She definitely had skill, and she seemed very confident. Neil had no injuries, so decided on complying with her demands. "Yes, ma'am." He headed to the back, still pondering how she could do this on her own. Even the royal doctors and medics would welcome volunteer assistance when taking in a large group of wounded soldiers such as this. He located the male section of the bath-house. He wasn't going to turn down an offer to get cleaned up after a battle.

A child walked around the village, humming to himself. He was not particularly happy about being dirty, or that he lost the butterfly he had chased but it couldn't be helped. He sighed as he layed on the side of the road by a house, his golden hay colored hair covering his blue eyes almost. He looked pitiful but he was just tired.

@SkullRoss @Andraus @others in the area

Mia had taken Noahs hand while walking to the house. Now that they had reached it, Mia kept holding his hand. "Where you want to go?", she asked him. "Want to lay down or go for a walk?"

@Eagershadow3

Mark walked toward the village, staying outside the house, he stared at the woods before sitting down next to the door. '' When are we gonna go? '' He asked, nobody heard him.

Saccharin just stands there, quietly following the flow of the crowd. Sotha's mother is really good at magic. He thought. ...and really kind too.

"Everyone that is injured, please take a seat and I'll be with you shortly. Those that are not, proceed behind the house, the bath-house there is a good spot to get cleaned and it's separated for males and females. "

Saccharin instantly removed his blood stained cloth and hung it on one of his shoulder. He walks through the crowd heading to the back of the house. No time to waste, I barely look presentable. He thought as he look himself. Dirt is on his face, dried blood, ripped clothes, and an annoyed expression from the feeling of dried sweat. He put his sword at one of the corners of the room, removed his boots, and grab his back pack that he brought with earlier. Time for a relaxing bath. He smiled as he mutter.

Mark brushed off his sword, as it still had dirt. '' Maybe I should brush off my face. '' He muttered, his face was messed up, leaves were on his hair and his face was stained with dirt. '' Maybe I should explore. '' He said,getting up and walking around the village.

Adrielle nodded at Ara. "Yeah, we're supposed to go their now." she said standing up from her position on the ground.

Having been healed earlier, Raphael proceeds around to the back of the house for a nice bath. His arm is covered in blood from the wound he received by that bandit arrow and he is covered in road dust from the journey here. He enters the male side and sees that a couple of the others are already there. (@SkullRoss , @CodeCJD ).

"Hi guys," he says cheerfully. "I can't wait to get cleaned up. I feel pretty gross right now." He hangs his cloak and clothes on a hook on the wall, placing his boots beneath them on the floor. He gets into the water and stretches out. "Ahhhhh. This feels great. Nothing helps get you back to a hundred percent like a nice relaxing bath." He begins scrubbing the dirt and dried blood from his body.

Saccharin hummed softly, closing his eyes as he listen to the sound of the water streaming. The water is warm and calming, soothing his tired muscles. He fought the urge to sleep there, for it would be weird if someone just laid around and sleep in a bath-house. His body is still tender from the fight, so he only scrubs at it hard enough to only remove the dirt and dried blood. As Saccharin cleans his body, the door creaked. The person greeted at them. He sound energetic even though they just came from a battle and a tiring journey. Saccharin turns around to see that the man who just came in is the guy who fought alongside Mia and Noah. Hey! It's been a long day isn't it? Saccharin greeted in a friendly manner. I'm Saccharin Rims, a promising squire. He said with a confident smile and assertive look in his eyes.

"It's nice to meet you Saccharin. My name is Raphael Wickerson. I'm a mage. A fire mage to be more precise. It has indeed been a long day." He stretches again, then dunks under water. Coming back up, he scrubs at the dirt in his hair, then proceeds to scrub his face. He faces Saccharin again. "I saw you take down several of those bandits. You're pretty good," he says with sincerity. "I didn't get nearly as many as I wanted because one of those dogs shot me in the arm with an arrow. It's virtually impossible to cast spells with just one good arm," he continues, a slight bitterness in his voice.
