Fantasy The Dragon of The North

XxLuluxX

Thar Be Dragons

Welcome! Welcome one and all! But don't mistake a warm welcome, for a reason to not be alarmed. The North has fallen. Yes! Yes! The mighty snow capped mountains, and weathered lands have fallen into the hands of chaos and corruption. I have called the bravest warriors, strongest sorcerers, the most knowledgeable alchemists and mechanics to send into the fray of this horrendous battle. They may not return alive... But it is with this, and the hope of rebuilding the north, I open the gates of Shukumei.

The mighty North has been felled by a man known as Lord Glendor. A man...Who is hardly human, trading his soul and form for that of a 'Higher being'. He is but a demon in the skin of the dead. Men and women who look for fame, or to save the rest of the kingdoms from his touch have gathered at Shukumei's grand palace. This is the stand against the North.

Legends speak of a dragon whose touch can vanquish all. It is your job to find; The Dragon Of The North.

Are we ready to start? If anyone wishes, please do. Sorry for my inactivity lately.

The storyline begins, with you meeting the 'Team'. Those around you, will work with you.

Think about it as a big common room!

Look at these description skills

Tabitha glanced around and then back down at the summons she had received to meet in the Commons room, why was I summoned here...they know I'm a criminal, is it a trap? Am I going to be arrested...is this their idea of a joke?, she thought. Keeping her hand close to her dagger Tabitha stayed in a corner so she could watch everyone who came in and not be snuck up on...God was this a pain, having to stand here on full alert. How is sucks to be the first one here...hey at least she had an advantage now

Xamien duct and squeezed through the door to the room he had been invited to. As he entered he was suprised to see that he was not the first one there. Many spirits moved about the room including a very friendly spirit cat, whom jumped up onto him. As he walked from the entry way a spirit pointed to the corner where he spotted a young, blonde, and smaller girl who looked very uncomfortable. Upon noticing the girl the ghost cat jumped off him and ran to her. "Hello." He waved. "How are you today?"

Tabitha had been watching the door then entire time and saw the man having to squeeze in and resorainted herself from saying a snarky remark but thought it, whoa! Look who had one hundred to many dinners! Ha! Oh my gods look at how big this guys is, what is he part elephant?, she snorted with quiet laughter to her own thought comments and answered his question straining not to laugh

" Um...ya I'm " she snorted " Fine...so, uh... " she snorted again and paused then realized he had yet to say something about her being a highly known criminal so she just stopped talking and composed herself No longer feeling the urge to laugh

"Yes, you seem to have left off that sentence." He said politely.

"Besides you seem to have many friends in here." He commented on the spirits that seemed to surround the small girl. Then again most are small compared to him. Although she seemed to be nice. Most would have already commented on his size or weight, yet she has not said anything about it yet.

Tabitha glanced around " Ummm, ya I have no idea what your talking about " she was starting to think this guy was crazy, she couldn't see anything and it was obvious she could not see the spirits looking back to him she glanced back towards the door before tying her hair back in a ponytail

"Oh yes my sincerest apologies. I am a necromancer and can see the spirits in this room. Most of which seem to be quite interested in you." He chuckled to himself, its not everyday Xamien would get an invitation to some room only to meet many new spirits and a seemingly nice young girl.

Astrid walked into the hall to where she had been summoned. She was a mercenery yes, but no one had ever invited her to the great halls of Shukumei for business. With that, Astrid walked towards the two people whom had already gathered. However, she kept to the side, leaning on a wall and waiting for others to arrive. Right now, she could have been sitting in a tavern with a cool mug of mead at her side. But no, Astrid had to wait and hope that this was about getting paid...

Tabitha saw another person come in, only this one was female and another mercenary though she didn't have a near enough reward as Tabitha did it was still a bit more undertaking to have a ther one here, who else would be coming?...would things get hostile?

Astrid saw the only other woman in the hall become slightly nervous or agitated. She wondered why- could she be a criminal? Not a people person? Both? Astrid pondered over thr thought. If she was a criminal, how big would her bounty be? She stared at the woman, trying to figure her out while she waited for others to arrive.

The knight made his way to the halls of the palace. Climbing staircase after staircase till he reached the common room at last. Bennett entered, looking like he'd just left a battlefield; hair a tousled mess, armour covered in dirt and old dried blood. He proceeded to drag himself inside, slamming the door behind him. He collapsed into one of the seats, glancing around at the others whom had gathered. Exhaling, he slumped back. "Morning" A rough, whiskey-cured baritone voice finally greeted. Ben itching his jaw, yawning. Harsh features, now more of a sleep deprived man than anything.

I doubt anyone will mind a cat nap right now.

@Wild Born

Tabitha only blinked when he slammed the door, mostly because she was watching him the whole time still ad a board glancing around she tried to make sure their weren't any bounty posters anywhere, how could I be so stupid! I should have never come, they invited a night... This is very very bad!, she thought and kept an eye on Bennett

Bennett glanced up at the blonde haired, blue eyed woman. It was true, she was indeed very good looking, yet something hid behind her eyes and sweet face. "You alright Miss?" He questioned, raising an eyebrow. Steely eyes meeting her gaze with his own. She seemed nervous, eyes flickering around the room, to land on him with hidden panic. Panic?

@Wild Born

Uki normally wouldn't have travelled to Shukumei, as she didn't like it. The city was always moving, always busy and she felt like a fish out of water there. Nothing like the quiet majestic forests in the North. However, she had been called to the palace, and from her understanding, the goal of the mmeting was to reclaim the North. Uki wouldn't say no to a chance like that. The short woman walked quickly to the palace, she didn't have a reason to waste any time. However, once inside the big building, she found herself lost. She had never been in such a big place before. After a while of searching and walking up stairs she finally found the common room, tired.

Uki leaned against a wall and observed the other people in the room. She wasn't impressed. One of them was the biggest man she'd ever seen, another one looked like a petty thief, and the last two had so much armor she doubted they could move in it.

-When does the meeting start? she asked.

@Wild Born @Calcifer @Kulu

Sir William stretched out, yawning once again to look at the newcomer. He knew a northerner when he saw them. "No idea. Cannae say much from what i've heard. Just sit tight, more might still arrive." He replied, his low tone clouded with a heavy northern accent. The stranger was tiny in comparison! What would she do to the enemy? Bite their ankles? Bennett fought to keep a straight face whilst his comical thoughts got the better of him. The knight cleared his throat. "Just sit down lass. They'll send someone"

@SdrawcabDaer

Tabitha blinked, it seems no one here who knew who she was... How amusing, suddenly she burst out laughing " What a bunch of bumbling fools, uninformed of anything, ha! " she threw her head bck and then came completely forwards possible bring at Bennett " Even a knight doesn't know! " she then stood up straight smirking her laugh now a chuckle as she bit her lip hands on her hips

Bennett narrowed his eyes at Tabitha, standing up. The weariness leaving his features, and once kind face contorted in a scowl. "It doesn't matter what, or who you are lass. This is a supposed 'Fresh start'. Do you think the stories of your exploits are so well told you self absorbed tart? Now SIT DOWN." He shouted, in a booming voice. He was a quick tempered man after all, and she'd managed to pull his tether short. "You're probably some detestable filth, right from the city streets. No honour. No code." It was easy to see, why the man was a knight.

@Wild Born

Uki nodded when the man talked. His accent revealed him to be from the North. She couldn't believe she hadn't seen he was from the North at first, but seeing how he probably came from a city like Thuaidh, she guessed it wasn't such a surprise. Uki didn't see people who lived in citys as real northerners, and her tribe rarely interacted with them.

The little woman sighed. Although she tried to hide her dissatisfaction, she was deeply disappointed that the meeting hadn't started immediately. She was very impatient, hoping that she could finally return to her beloved homeland once all of this was over. She had always been a hunter of Ilvis, and she would make sure it stayed that way. she couldn't see herself live any other future.

When the woman in thiefs clothing spoke out, Uki just gave her an irritated face. She opened her mouth to say something, but quickly shut it when the male knight started speaking. Northern could truly be intimidating when they wanted.

Astrid smirked at the knight's words, after all it was truly amusing to hear someone speak like that. She then walked over to the seat next to the knight, sitting down. "I suppose you have had a bad day today?" Astrid asked, still smirking while looking off into the distance. It was a true sight to see a knight whom was so passionate. It didn't bother her in the slightest of his uncovered short temper. After all, with the right push in the wrong direction, she could be like that too...Well possible not with an equal booming voice like his. Now, that was also impressive to her and something Astrid liked to see as it indicated him to be a strong man...as well as his looks indicating that too.

"May we all get along, surely there is no reason for us not to get along. Although if it is true and you have been having a bad day then here please take this and may it brighten your path." He said holding out a handful of his coins. Looking at the gathered people he could tell some of the people where of less honorable paths but even knights could have bad days, not to mention they are often paid less for services than some mercenaries. Yet altogether he could see how some of the gathered group could get work done. So long as the knight and the mercenary don't do each other in. Yet maybe more would join them.

Bennett looked at the now gained attention. Then at the woman beside him. "A bad day is an understatement lass." The knight muttered grumpily. "The start was awful and now surrounded by what seems to be the men and women, i'll be travelling with to my possible death, its gotten marginally worse." He replied dryly to Astrid. He then looked back up toward the larger man, shaking his head. "No, that'll not be necessary. I don't need money, nor charity. My temper is a bit of a loose cannon is all, and...Some people, don't help that." Ben aiming a glare toward Tabitha for emphasis.

@Wild Born

Tabitha kept a grin on her face the tips of her lips turned up she folded her arms " Aww look, another honor bound knight who they nks he can boss me around...how sweet of you to amuse me so, I'm very sorry if I angered you " she giggled and sat down in the chair behind her " Being worried for my own safety and finding no one recognized me is such a shame, and I worked so hard to be one of the top three mercenaries " she crossed her legs and pu her hands behind her head with a sigh " Too bad the fun had to end when I came here " she closed her eyes though still fully alert

Astrid chuckled at his statement. "You know what helps me? A drink. A nice sweet cool pint of mead. That will get you back on track. Or more of it..." She nodded as she looked back at the knight. "And if you want to forget your troubles quicker, get drunk. Its a great remedy." Astrid kept talking, giving him pointers that she actually uses herself.

"Oh please, death is necessary but not the most unpleasant of things I am told. Spirits stand all around us now and they seem quite content. Besides if you die I can always bring you back." He chuckled to himself. Seeing so many sit made him decide to follow by example and sit right where he was as to avoid any incidents with chairs not fitting him properly. So he sat somewhat to the side of the room with an audible thud. "Ahh so you are a high quality mercenary. That must be exciting." He told the blonde woman turning his attention
