Fantasy The Core of Power

Ella landed on her hands and knees as she hit the dirt ground. She knew that the caverns should get a net, but that was something that wasn't a major priority. Standing up, Ella brushed off the dirt on her jeans and watched as she saw the others come down. She was impressed Cricket came straight down, but Ella was more impressed as she watch Sentinel lower himself down by metal? Well that is what Ella thought it was.

"Good job making the fall you guys. The last newbie to jump broke both of their legs. It's a good thing we have Isis here." Ella laughed thinking about the experience. Isis had been so ticked when she had found out that Ella had actually pushed the person.

"Okay so are you guys ready to move on or do you need a minute?"

@Shog

"You have a strange initiation" Nick commented jokingly. "How large are these caverns anyway?"

Both Cricket and Dash, who had ironically been the last one down, nodded in agreement when Ella suggested they move on. "How long have you been doing this?" It was now Dash that spoke up. All of them felt if they kept the focus of the conversation on Ella, her accomplishments, and the caverns then they could avoid talking about themselves.

Ella Laughed again and talked as she walked. "Yeah I guess we kind of do have a weird one." Ella searched her head and thought for a few minutes. "Well you see all of these caverns are underneath a college campus I and the other leadership and some of the safe house stayers used to go to. You see our campus was known for having quite a few drug scandals here and there. Well that's where the tunnels come in. Students who didn't want to be found had made these tunnels so they could travel the campus grounds without being found. No one really knows when they were first made, we just all found out about them by older students. So when the college mutants needed a refuge we went to the tunnels. As for our underground buildings, well let's say the core helped to get those down here for us. Now we just keep digging and adjusting here and there to certain living standards."

Ella felt proud of herself for remembering the background of this place. It had been so long since she had been asked that sort of question. Looking up Ella noticed they had reached the arsenal (the college's old gym). "Whelp looks like we're here."

@Shog

"It looks like a gym" Cricket noted. "Did entire buildings just sink down here?"

"So after this little excursion, what do you think I could do around here to help?" Nick asked. Even before the Core his he was never one to just sit around. He almost felt I'll when he did nothing when he knew he could help.

Erin felt a smile grace her lips at Conner's mention that he was coming and when Vittra ran up ahead. The blonde girl had a point so Erin picked up her pace. "I live a few blocks north of here... so the direction we're headed. It's a decent sized apartment complex." She added as she picked up her pace to match Vittra's, glancing back to make sure Conner was keeping up.

"They're still following us?" Erin was a little surprised at that, but shook it off. Vittra said they were armed... but Erin wasn't entirely worried. With her, Vittra, and Conner there was no way this person would get the jump on them. When they reached what Erin was certainly calling 'home' at this point, the ginger haired mutant got the door for Vittra and Conner... and upon debate, since the so called 'guest' had caught up a bit, Erin decided to wait for her as well. "Hey there, Stalker! I'm Erin. What's your name? Also, me and my friends are gonna get something to eat at my place- you are free to join us." Erin said, waiting long enough to hold the door open for the girl if she decided to come along and leave it if she didn't.

"It's just up these stairs." Erin said, leading the group up 2 flights of stairs before stopping in front of room # 219. "Well this is it, home sweet home." Erin said, unlocking the door and allowing her guests to come inside. It wasn't the neatest of living arrangements but it was tidier than most bachelorette pads. At least you could see the floor and there were places to sit. "So are we thinking of a warm meal, like mac n cheese or something simple like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches or... well, what's everyone in the mood for? I've got drinks, too- V8 and Orange Juice and Milk, and of course, water." Erin listed off.

Erin went about preparing whatever was suggested by her new found colleagues, behaving as a good host should and taking care of everyone before taking a seat herself. "So, I have yet to hear what you were doing out at midnight, Conner. And Vittra, you and I have yet to discuss how beautifully your plans messed up my own." (And if the third girl has joined, Erin also said "And what were you doing out at midnight and why were you following us?" to her).

"Speaking of time... it's really late. Do you guys have somewhere to stay? Because... I've got a bed and an air mattress and a couple of sleeping bags. I also have a couch... but the couch is mine, sorry. Well, I mean... I guess if all three of you need a place I could sleep on the floor just this once.... but you're free to stay here. Be forwarned, though, I don't take kindly to thieves and the like and I hold a pretty nasty grudge." Erin warned.

@ElectricAngel

(Because I have early shift tomorrow and won't be able to get on until later, I give Wavebird permission to control Erin- if it's needed. If Erin can just sit and nod and smile, that's fine too xD But just so my character doesn't hold anyone up, I place her in Wavebird's capable hands. This is also why I wrote so much and kept it fairly general)

Alison arrived tailing behind everyone, and surprisingly a girl named Erin stood watching to greet her once she caught up. Still nervous to speak, she just shook her head and smiled. She was hesitant to follow them into the complex but followed them in since they welcomed her so. "Maybe it wouldn't be as creepy if I came a little later? But then again I was already creepy the moment I started following them." She admitted to herself. Alison decided to wait a little while longer before going up the staircase.

Minutes which turned into an hour passed before Alison had the courage to go inside. She walked up the stairs, each step echoed through the halls like in some horror movie. When in front of the door she didn't know whether to just walk in or to knock, "I mean knocking would be polite but if I knock then they would have to stop what they're doing and go open the door. What if they expected me to come up and unlocked the door for me. Or they thought I was creepy so they locked it instead." Alison continued to argue with herself. She didn't want to be seen as creepy but that was already too late. Making friends had never been her forte since she would want her friends to like her but didn't know where to start.

"Sandwiches!... Err, sandwiches and... I suppose you ain't got a cup of coffee? Black?" Valerie had first almost shouted, since she knew that macaroni and cheese would have to be eaten with some sort of cutlery probably made out of steel. In fact, she could clearly feel the presence of steel in the room; knives, cutlery and all sort of things. But in a secure environment like this it wasn't enough to get her worked up, so she let it slide as long a she didn't have to touch any of it. What she felt at this moment could be compared to what a normal person feels when they see a wasp or a bee inside; they might be a bit scared of it, but as long as it sticks to the window there is no need to care (But you sure as hell don't want to put it in your mouth!).

As Erin started preparing the meal Valerie wondered what was up with that girl that had followed them earlier. Valerie had protested when Erin had decided to wait for their follower. "Are you nuts?! They've got a knife or something!" Valerie had taken a step back to keep at least some distance when Alison came up close. But as things turned out, the girl was holding a tiny stick instead of a knife. The others must've been laughing inside at my paranoia. But she was certain she could smell steel from the girl, perhaps she carried something in made out of steel her backpack? Either way, the girl was now inside the building but yet outside of the apartment – for some reason she had decided to stay by the stairs. Strange person, she didn't even speak much. Not that Valerie had helped the poor girl feel at ease by refusing to greet her due to suspicion.

Erin finally joined Valerie and Conner by the table and starting asking questions about the night. Valerie gave Conner a chance to tell his tale first, and then answered Erin's question: "Well, at least my plans went accordingly thanks to you" she smirked "You know, stealing the money from that pig of a man. What were you doing anyway?"

As they sat there and talked over their meals, Valerie felt how her head started spinning again, it sort of came in waves. Crap, I must've hit the ground pretty hard. And when finally a sleep-over arrangement came up she was to dizzy to refuse. Sure, this was a strangers home with even more strangers in it, but somehow that sounded better than risking a walk home at this hour and in this state. "I could go for a warm bed right now, yes."

@ElectricAngel @mikaluvkitties

((I shall taketh it upon the shoulders of my, the heavy burden of controlling the character of thine in times of dire need!!! ...Also, I live in another time-zone so it might not work out perfectly, but hey, let's see where it gets us :) Thanks for trusting me with it! ))

After 10 minutes of fighting she finally decided to open the door and if it was locked than she would knock. She reached her hand out and as her fingers touched the cold knob, she twisted it around slowly, just in case they went to sleep so they wouldn't be alarmed and wake up. 'I kind of feel like a robber' she thought as the door started to creek open, 'Oh! It was open. They were expecting me than! or they forgot to lock the door'

When the door crack was big enough, she slowly stuck her head in the crack to peak in. They were sitting in the living room and staring at her like she was some lunatic. 'S-should I say something? Greet them? Explain myself? Say 'Hey guys I'm that stalker chick. Nice to meet cha' No! That would be so.. Strange..' Whilst having another internal conflict in her mind, it just seemed as if a head was staring at them from the door.

Byron walked until he reached his home, in the campus of the American Language Institute. He recieved a scholarship and his stepfather took care of the rest of the expenses. Byron also found work in the school bookstore, part-time. After he left his bag and finished reading a few important notes for school he started his usual martial arts training.

After an hour of training he went to bed. Byron was highly skilled in both kenpo and aikido, the difference was that he was better in aikido , becoming a black belt and didn't give as much importance to kenpo, even if he still practiced some of the more efficient tehniques. But the term 'kenpo' is generic, more specifically he practiced AKKI kenpo. Since he found most of the tehniques rather unrealistic , he simply chose to keep the simple and effective ones in his arsenal. ''Maybe I should have taken kickbox lessons instead'' he thought to himself. After all, now that he was in peak human condition he felt like he needed to know better kicking and punching techniques.

After a while he was sleeping. For the first time ever he could have a satisfying sleep both in quanity and quality.

Vittra's nearly shouted response caught Conner off-guard, but he guessed that he didn't need mac and cheese and could go for a sandwich. At the mention of drinks and orange juice, Conner straightened up, more alert, and stated in as calm a voice as he could muster, "Orange juice, please."

He hadn't had much of a reaction to their stalker, even when Erin invited them in- after all, it was Erin's house.

As Erin placed down the drinks and sandwiches, Conner nodded in thanks, pausing the journey of the glass of orange juice from the table to his mouth when he was asked what he was doing out. He waited to see if the Vittra would answer first, and when she didn't, he inwardly sighed, deliberating over how much to tell them.

Fairly quickly, Conner answered, voice laced in embarrassment, "I came to visit and forgot my money and stuff. Got nowhere to stay," hoping he wouldn't be asked for more details, "and um, yeah, a place to sleep would be great."

@ElectricAngel @RubyRose @Wavebird

((Ok! Here goes my post where I also control Erin, as allowed by @RubyRose ))

"Ok, so I'll let you have the bed then, Vittra. Since I perfer the couch anyway. And Conner, I hope that a mattress and an extra blanket will suffice?" Erin said as she started getting some sleeping-bags out from a small box-room. "Here, catch!" Erin threw the sleeping-bags one at a time, first to Conner then to Valerie, hoping they'd catch them. She was just about to turn back to the box-room to get the mattress when she noticed the slight creaking sound that the apartment-door gave away as it slowly slid open. The girl from before stuck her head inside and looked at Erin and the others, just staring without saying as much as a word. It was Erin that had to break the silence before it would turn even more awkward: “Hello again, you ready to come in? We're about to get some shut-eye soon, but there is food if your hungry.” Erin pointed towards the kitchen counter where the peanut butter, the jelly and the bread as well as the orange juice was still out.

Valerie had to jump a bit to the side to catch the flying sleeping-bag, after the small hop she already felt dizzy again. Concussion? Please, no... And then turned her attention to the girl in the door. For some reason made her feel uneasy in a way that neither Erin or Conner did (Truth be told, she was surprisingly calm around the two of them, despite them being total strangers). It wasn't because the girl had steel on her however, it probably had more to do with the fact that she didn't speak and acted all sorts of weird. Wonder what she's been up to for an hour out by the stairs? Valerie decided to ignore her this time around as well, at least till she knew what manner of person she actually were.

@mikaluvkitties @Defective Kitten @RubyRose

Ella blatantly answered them, "Well no, not all the buildings sunk completely just the ones that had the most tunnels under them. Other buildings sunk half way or not at all."

Ella was confused as to why the new comers didn't know that not all the buildings had sunk. Almost all of New York remembers the accident of her college and other cities nearby. Even if some weren't there, the newspapers held a list of disaster areas for places in New York to spread the news to people. Especially Ella, since it was the day she lost her... Ella shook the thought out of her head. It was still to much to think about.

"I mean didn't you guys know that? Any person in the state knows what happened here because of the Times newspaper. Then again I guess it doesn't really matter." Ella paused to open up to open up the Arsenal doors and once inside 'man hugged' Maddie, the raid leader joining the group tonight. With Maddie was a boy with many bandages on his mouth, hands, and ears. Maddie spoke to the trio behind Ella. "Well, well, well, the fresh meat decided to join us huh?" Said Maddie.

Ella responded, "Maddie you know that is no way to talk to someone. Has your twin taught you nothing?"

Maddie retorted, "Whateva' Ella lets just get what we need so we can eat."

With that Maddie slung a glock 1911 on her waist and started to climb up the escape ladder that lead to the surface from the Arsenal. Ella rolled her eyes and followed up the ladder after the bandaged kid with an empty sack on her back. Looking down Ella said, "Come on we better hurry. If you need a weapon take something light... Oh and grab another sack."

@Shog

Alison was too awkward to say anything yet again. She quietly walked in and nodded, closed the door, locking it behind her. Slowly, she scooted her way over to the kitchen where she kindly made herself a peanut butter and jelly. Once made, she sat on the ground her hood still on her head. Eating, she tried to not get crumbs everywhere like she normally does. As Alison ate, she looked around the room as if she were dumbfound, but that was just her face, she had a natural airhead face. "I can sleep on the ground" Alison finally spoke as she walked over to the corner of the room and sat herself down. "I like corners... their fun" She enthused happily.

((Sorry, it was short ))

Not really caring where in the house he slept, he shrugged lightly, adrenaline fading off as fatigue finally settled in. He nearly got hit in the face with a sleeping back, ducking down in the nick of time. Turning around to pick up the pillow, he remembered he was on the job. In the heat of the moment, he'd forgotten.

I should probably check in,
he decided.

"Do you have a phone? I need to make a call before bed," he inquired, a hint of concern shining from his eyes.

@Wavebird @Defective Kitten @RubyRose

Valerie didn't really have to make her bed for the night, it was already made as far as sheets and pillows went. Covers lacked of course, as Erin had them in the sofa where she apparently slept most of the time. But when Erin had thrown a sleeping-bag Valerie's way the problem was instantly solved. She proceeded to take her socks and jeans off, completely unembarrassed, but decided she should kept her t-shirt on. This could be getting weird otherwise...

She kept paying some attention to the new girl who was making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Valerie was certain that she was a nutter – a complete crazy person. Somehow she wanted to speak to her, but kept true to her decision to ignore her, even if it made her feel like a bad person. See, she had somehow started feeling sorry for the girl who seemed so confused and lost.

As Conner asked for a phone Valerie was quick to answer: "As long as you're not calling outside of the country" Valerie smirked and picked up her phone from the pocket of her light grey jeans that lay on the floor, and then walked over to Conner to give it to him. It was a relatively modern smartphone, a Sony Ericsson of some sort. It was obvious that it was new as it didn't even have a scratch on neither the screen or it's white plastic shell. She had started the app for dialling and calling on before hand in order to avoid having Conner take any 'detours' in her phone. "There you go, who're you calling anyway?"

She leaned herself against the wall and crossed her arms as she waited for Conner to be done with the phone. She looked at Erin. "So, are you not afraid that we'll... I don't know, put your place on fire? Kill you? Steal all your things? Or at least eat all your food?" She paused, realising that she was funny in the wrong way "I mean, it takes some guts to invite three strangers for a sleep-over."

@RubyRose @Defective Kitten @mikaluvkitties

"You are really odd." Erin noted, speaking to the new girl- and her tone wasn't unkind, more amused than anything. "Just so you know I'm Erin, the guy over there is Conner, and then the other girl is Vittra. What's your name?" Erin asked, going to fetch another blanket and pillow so that the new girl could sleep in the corner. Odd to have people in her apartment, if she was completely honest... But it was a good kind of feeling- it was nice not to be so alone.

Erin had been hesitant on offering her phone to Conner and so was glad when Vittra offered her phone instead. At Vittra's question, Erin rubbed at her chin. "Well, I guess I figured if you guys did anything stupid I'd hunt you down and destroy your lives." Erin said, her gaze becoming dark for a moment before a pleasant smile covered her features. "It's probably more trusting stupidity, letting you guys stay here... But I guess I just believe you guys to be in the same boat as me. And if I were 'being treated as a mutant' I'd want someone to lend a hand to me. The only reason I have a decent apartment is because I had it before everything went to hell. And hey, if I'm wrong and one of you or all of you are here to ruin my life in one way or another here's your warning- I've become a great tracker and you won't see me coming." Erin said all of this with a grin, her gaze absolutely serious as she took in the people in her apartment.

"So miss Vittra, how are you holding up? You hit the ground pretty hard earlier." Erin inquired, finishing in getting everything set up for a fairly epic sleepover by Erin's books. "And... was stealing the man's money the plan the whole time? Or were you just not impressed when you first met him." Erin said, being a bit nosy. Erin wasn't sure if Vittra would answer or not but that had never stopped her before in asking. She also cleaned up the rest of the food, making sure to wash any of the dishes at that moment so that they didn't stack up. She had a bit of a problem where if she didn't clean something right that second, it took a really long time for her to get around to it.

@Wavebird @Defective Kitten @mikaluvkitties

Conner silently thanked Vittra, entering the number of the sector he was supposed to contact, absentmindedly answering, "The place I work."

As he walked to the point of the room furthest from everyone else, he gave a wave to Alison, pressing the number to finally dial, putting the phone to his ear and resting his head on the corner of the walls.

"Private Conner checking in. No update," he whispered, hoping they hadn't expected him to already have anything.

"That's fine- good even," the feminine voice on the other line said, completely nonchalant, "considering we're switching your mission. You are now to track down allies to help us take down the Black Fist."

Conner wanted to ask questions, but knew that he probably shouldn't, settling on just saying, "Yes ma'am."

"Good. And Conner, thank you for not trying to run," tone turning icy at the last note before she hung up. Well, that wasn't at all ominous, he thought, wondering how they would have known.

He was probably over-thinking it, and gave Vittra her phone back, settling down on the floor, legs crisscrossed with the sleeping bag in his lap, deciding to think more of his new assignment in the morning, burnt out from the day as he fought to keep his eyes open.

@RubyRose @Wavebird @Defective Kitten

((I am so sorry, don't have any idea how I should've written that conversation. It got the point across, though..))

Alison smiled shyly, "Thank you. My names Alison. People call me that a lot." She spoke, "I mean they call me weird, not Alison. Well I guess they do call me Alison also but they call me weird too." She added on trying to correct herself. As she took the blanket from Erin, she grazed her hand and stole a little energy from her. Chills ran down Alison's spin as she felt the cold energy run through her veins. Hopefully Erin didn't notice that.

Taking off her hoodie and shoes, Alison settled herself in the corner and wrapped the blanket around herself, hugging the pillow in-between her knees and chest. She intently listened to what they were discussing about mutants and what not. "So everyone here is a mutant?" Alison asked already knowing the answer, "What are your powers?" she added on. She wanted to get to know everyone in this group, it seemed that since they just met they didn't know much about each other, besides being a mutant and their names.

Valerie smiled inside when Erin was acting all nice around Alison. Perhaps I can try to at least speak to her, she doesn't seem dangerous after all. "Nice to meet you Alison."

"I seem to be sort of off-balance... World's been spinning for a while now. But other than that, I'm 1okay. I think all I need is some rest." Valerie shrugged as she answered Erin. "As for my business with Big Bill... See, that is how I get by. He is a dirty drug-dealer and a cheater, he deserved having his money stolen. So I took them from him." She didn't want to get into detail, and instead fell back on simple reasoning that'd prove the point rather than shed light upon her ways of doing things. "Your turn, why did you just happen to show up in the right moment?"

She accepted the phone back from Conner, and looked at him with at least a touch of suspicion in her eyes, but she didn't care to bother him with more questions. She had tried to overhear as much as she could from his conversation, but since he'd been whispering and because she was busy chatting with Erin she had missed most of it. Wonder if I heard that right? Private Conner...

When Alison asked about mutants and powers, Valerie had gotten herself back to the bed instead of leaning against the wall. "Well, I am a mutant. But what my powers happen to be I rather keep to myself for the time being, hope you don't mid." She was doing her best to adjust her voice to sound friendly and not stuck-up or rude, but she still felt like she was. Why do I feel so guilty around her?

@RubyRose @mikaluvkitties @Defective Kitten

Erin laughed at Alison's 'they call me weird, not Alison. Well they call me Alison too', completely oblivious to Conner's conversation. She gladly handed over the bedding, noticing nothing out of the ordinary at the brief contact.

Erin turned her attention to Vittra as she spoke, nodding. Bill really hadn't been the most savory of characters... really not a decent person at all, if Erin's trailing had taught her anything. Erin couldn't argue Vittra's logic, though she wasn't entirely sure she agreed with it. She felt that she made more of an honest living... though she supposed she did work for shady characters. Still, she never stole anything- just reported on people and recorded events with images. "I was earning my own living off of that guy." Erin admitted. "I can't really say much more than that, to be honest. I was hired to trail him, which is what my job tends to be. Someone is suspicious about another someone and then they call me to follow after them and find out if their suspicions are true. That's why I have a camera, to bring back proof!"

Erin listened, interested, as Vittra answered, disappointed when she didn't actually tell them what her power was- though Erin was pretty sure she had an idea of what Vittra could do- or at least sort of? She didn't understand it entirely but she had an idea.

"Alison, it's no fair to ask us what our powers are if you don't tell us yours first! That's like asking for people's names without giving yours first- it's super bad manners, silly." Erin said lightly. "I'll answer when you answer your own question."

"Everything ok at work?" Erin asked Conner, noticing he had finished his call. "You look really tired. Bet you had a long day doing... whatever it is you do. Lucky you showed up when you did, though."

@Wavebird @Defective Kitten @mikaluvkitties

Conner was glad when no one named their power, glad that he wouldn't have to tell them his.

Conner had almost nodded off when Erin's voice being directed at him brought him back to reality.He just kind of stared at her for a moment, trying to process what she had said, and trying to realize what she meant when he had turned the sound into words.

Remembering mentioning work before he called, he nodded, "Yeah, just have a new project," sighed, running a hand over his face, "I'm gonna start starting on it first thing tomorrow." For a second he thought about asking about any pro-mutant groups, but he was off his game and wanted to keep any chance of getting driven out of the apartment for after he slept.

@RubyRose @Defective Kitten @Wavebird

Alison scratched her head and gave a light giggle, "I guess it is. Well I don't really understand what my power is. Sometimes if I try really hard it works but other times it just happens on accident.. like I just did with you.. anyways, my power is honestly pretty useless I think." She said with an honest smirk. "But I guess that doesn't really answer your question, or should I say my question. I trust you guys so I'll tell you my power, it is absorbing energy and being able to release it in another form of energy such as fire. Would you like me to show you?" Alison asked nervously since she doesn't really know how to 100% control her powers as they mostly control her rather.

Nick grabbed a bag and followed them up while Dash and Cricket grabbed pistols. Out of the tree of them Dash was the only one who knew how to properly use a gun. Nick didn't need a gun because, well, he didn't have the name Sentinel for no reason.

Up on the surface Nick was glad to see the rain was letting up. He walked up next to Ella and said "I'm not from New York. I was born and raised in a small town in Main. I was categorized as having the potential for a mutant my first test, but after my powers came in I ran in hopes of avoiding military "duty". Lets just say I am not particularly knowledgeable of major events after the Core hit."

@rosamortelle

Valerie nodded slowly as Erin told her that she too was out to make a living earlier that night. "Ah, you stalked him... But how did I foil your plans? You must've got plenty of photos of him with his dirty paws all on me." She said it to find out if there were actually any photos of her on the camera, but something dark fell over Valerie as she said the last part of the sentence, because the very thought of what Bill had had in mind made her shiver. I should stop taking such risks. Now, hope she didn't snap any photos of me, that'd be a problem.

Valerie lay down in the bed and looked over some things on her phone. Nothing new. She put her phone down and turned on her side and held up her head with her elbow resting against the bed. She was playing around with her long braid with her other hand, making loops with her index finger and looked at Conner. "What sort of a project? Like, what do you do for a living?" She already had a tiny lead, but wanted to confirm it somehow. At the same time, she was quite certain that Conner probably preferred not to say. But she didn't care too much if she had stepped on his toes with this question.

She tried to seem like she didn't pay to much attention to Alison, but was unable to not actually listen intently. What was it she just said? The she had used her powers on Erin? This girl sure was strange, weird and all sorts of things, perhaps she hadn't been wrong about not trusting her in the first place?

@RubyRose @Defective Kitten @mikaluvkitties

"I'm not entirely sure I'm going to be able to collect my pay considering the guy's in the hospital and my employer will probably blame me... considering the only way to throw off that blame would be to show them images of who actually did it... and I don't want people coming after you. Besides, for every intensive purpose it's possible that Bill was planning on having an affair, but I need actual images for complete proof." Erin said... though as she spoke an idea began to form in her mind. Drug Dealers we actually getting turned on and attacked all the time, right? Perhaps Erin could blame the attack on someone else and not point it at Vittra? She thought hard, since not showing any images at all made her look exceptionally guilty... Erin hadn't realized she was in so much of a bind.

Considering everyone else was probably about as tired as she was, if not more so, Erin began shutting off the main lights in the house- leaving on only the bedroom light for Vittra, a small lamp in the living room, and the bathroom light so that it was easy to find. Erin's gaze fixed on Conner at Vittra's question, wondering what his job was. "Good luck on your new project!" Erin said brightly, heading over to the couch and curling up under the covers. She wasn't all that tired yet but she didn't want to be standing around anymore.

At Alison's admittal of using her powers, it took Erin a moment to realize Alison had used them on her. When, though? Back at the door when she had first greeted the girl? Or sometime in here? Erin had no idea... At the mention of a show of her power, Erin held up her hands. "Whatever energy you're changing, please don't make it be fire. I wasn't joking when I said I'd hunt you down if any of you guys burned down my house." Erin said. "Anything else though, that's non property damaging, would be cool to see." Erin said. "And fair is fair." She added. She realized these people could still be dangerous but them knowing her power really wasn't any big deal... there wasn't much they could do to use it against her, anyway. "My ability is object possession." Erin explained. "Basically I can merge with objects. Ideal for hiding from the people I'm stalking while still having eyes and ears on them... though I can only take pictures in my non-merged form."
