The Angel's Baby

Shushing Dean's whines, Castiel soon finished cleaning up his little one before gathering him in his arms.

Dean smiled softly and cooed, wrapping his arms around his Daddy's neck, hugging him lovingly.

Bringing Dean to the kitchen for breakfast, Cas sat the green-eyed man in his highchair before opening a jar of baby food and feeding the younger. After he tied a bib around Dean's neck of course.

Dean babbled and patted his hands against the highchair tray, excited to be fed. Feeding time was always fun for Dean.

Spooning some of the baby food, Cas smiled softly as he started to feed his little one.

Dean giggled and grabbed at the spoon a few times, being silly and playful for Daddy Cas.

Huffing a laugh at Dean's silliness, Cas shook his head fondly as Dean ate up all of his food. "Very good job, Dean," the angel praised, wiping the mess from Dean's face and taking him from his highchair.

Dean looked out the window and saw how pretty it was out. He wanted to go for a walk again.

Knowing what Dean wanted, Castiel sat the younger in the stroller, with a stuffie to keep him company, before going out the front door.

Dean smiled and clapped his hands, happy to be outside in the warm sunshine and fresh air.

Smiling at Dean's happiness, Castiel made sure to show Dean everything outside. It was very nice out, and the angel planned to do things like this on the daily.

Dean gurgled at a woman walking her dog, who, of course commented on how sweet and adorable Dean was.

Nodding in thanks to the woman's compliment, Cas looked on proudly at his little one as they went further down the street. Dean was very sweet and adorable.

Dean got fussy after a while, and sucked on his fingers. His gums were hurting really bad, and he wondered why.

Immediately turning the corner to go home, upon hearing Dean's fussing, Cas took a teething toy from his pocket and handed it to Dean. It seemed like teething was approaching...

Dean wailed in pain and fussed even more, adding increasing tension to the situation.

Coming into the house, Cas removed Dean from his highchair and brought the younger into the bathroom. Opening the medicine cabinet, the angel took a tube of soothing gel, and placed some on his pointer finger. "Open your mouth, Dean," he instructed.

Dean did as he was told, whining and crying as Cas rubbed the gel along his sore gums, adding to the pain.

"It will help, trust me," Cas murmured as he rubbed Dean's back once he was done, and cuddled his little one close.

Dean whimpered softly and sniffled, laying his head on Cas' shoulder, drooling heavily because of the teething.

Bringing Dean to the living room, and wiping the drool coming from the younger's mouth, Castiel cuddled his little one comfortingly.

Dean hated this. Why did it have to happen today, and ruin their outside time? He hated himself for this.

At least now that teething started, it'd end sooner. Reading Dean's mind, Cas frowned, "Don't blame yourself, little one."

Dean looked at Cas with sad, teary eyes, as pain ravaged his poor gums.

Giving Dean a teething toy, in case he had the need to chew on something, Castiel kissed the younger's cheeks lovingly.
