The Angel's Baby

Wiping the drool from Dean's fingers, and replacing them with a light blue pacifier, Cas picked out "Goodnight Moon" to read aloud. Holding his little one tightly, Castiel read until Dean started to fall asleep, where the angel laid the younger in his crib and turned on the night light.

Brushing a kiss against the younger's hair, Castiel laid Dean down in his crib with a blanket and teddy bear. Turning on the night light, so Dean would see stars if he woke up, the angel quietly left the room.

Coming into the nursery, the angel wrinkled his nose slightly at the smell before picking up Dean and changing his baby quickly. "Good morning, Dean," Cas greeted warmly as he dressed his little one into a blue onesie with matching socks.

Once that was finished, and Dean had stopped squirming, Castiel picked up the younger off the changing table and carried him to the kitchen. Tying a bib around Dean's neck once he was in the highchair, the angel brought some baby food and a bottle.

Smiling at his little one, Cas wiped the drool from Dean's face gently, before opening the baby food jar and starting to feed the younger.

Once all the baby food was gone, Castiel wiped up the mess from his baby's face and praised him, "You are a very good eater, Dean."

Heart warming at Dean's claps and giggles, Castiel dutifully removed the younger from his highchair and carried him to the living room to watch some cartoons.

Settling the both of them on the couch, Castiel held his little one close while he grabbed the remote and changed the channel to some cartoons.

Since he had put a block on several inappropriate channels, Castiel wasn't afraid that Dean would find something he shouldn't. He handed the remote to Dean, as the former hunter just wanted to play with it.

A smile forming across Cas' features, the angel soon removed the remote when Dean seemed done with it, and wiped the drool from it with a cloth.

"I'm sorry, Dean. But you could hurt yourself with the buttons," Cas explained. And by that he meant the rough-cut edges of the plastic would be harmful against Dean's gums.

Taking Dean's hands in his, Castiel kept a firm expression. "It's for your own good, Dean. Please listen to me."
