Futuristic The Advertures and MisAdventures of "The Pride"

Devon paused himself in surprise. He wasn't expecting anyone nor did he call anyone. He took the comb out of his hair and walked towards his door. Before opening it he tapped on a holographic interface beside it. Immediately his expression turned more inquisitive. "What does Thrace want?" He asked himself under his breath. Clearing his throat and adjusting his posture he proceeded to open the door."If your wondering how much your getting from this little venture, let me be the first to tell you that it won't be any d different from the others." His tone was serious yet sly. Devon knew that, that wasn't Thrace's question but he couldn't help but try to end their conversation early.

Thrace shook his head, "I don't mind about pay, A place to stay under the radar s more then enough, anything extra is just savings, I just wanted permission to requisition as much of the ships cargo and cargo space as is needed that isn't already locked into other agreements for trading in the market places, restock us on equipment we need, get parts for repairs, and upgrades, and see if I cant outfit our weapons locker properly with some power armor units and some more organized firearms, and then get a hold of some low tax tradeables for direct profit for the ships fuel and basics. I used to run my Uncle's port back when I was on earth, so I know quite a bit about the black market and how money really travels in this solar system..." He wouldn't go ahead with his plan without his captains go ahead, but he saw the ship was in need of better outfitting, new technologies were released every day, and the black market always had the latest, or second gen gear first.

Tasha looked relieved. No shopping? Alright!

But then she thought about it. Hmm.... Nope! Still staying here!

Smiling with her decision, she went back to the kitchen and yes, she began pickling those pears.

((Sorry everyone I was with Family)) Devon gave a small chuckle and took up his comb once more."Get what we only need thrace." He began walking out his room and preceded down the main walkway."And if your going to the Black Market bring weapons. As a matter of fact, give Tasha the weapons and you hold the merchandise. And give the items your selling a, 150% surplus." His face stretched wide with the thought of overcharging their goods."And if nobody's buying, tell Tasha. To go crazy." He continued his way down to the entrance of the bridge and turned around to Thrace. "So, are we going to land or sit here and look pretty?"

Thrace nodded, and limped his way back through the common area, remaking to Devon, "Best tell her she's with me while I bring us in. I don't think she's ever been to the underground..." He walked through to the cockpit and dropped into his seat, taking up the controls, he dropped them back into real space smoothly before the port authority hailed them, he sent frequency, and asked for permission to dock. After a moment of negotiating he secured them a docking hatch and brought them smoothly into port, having conveyed they were here on business. Within a moment the hatch slid to their airlock and the umbilical was in place, a second loading platform slid in behind the ships cargo bay and a fueling line extended to the ships core port.

Thrace began the power down sequence, unlocking the ships weapons controls again, to the port authority he'd put his weapons on sleep mode, reality, he'd slaved the controls of the weapon systems into the cockpit, so when he got back, if all else failed, he could still blow his way out. He stood up, and started going about the task of gathering up supplies for sale, he would have to talk to Devon about either recruiting a requisitions officer, or putting him in charge of requisitions.

Sasha was ecstatic that they were soon to dock, a new place meant new opportunities. She was good at getting her hands on the newest of items, technologies, gadgets, gear, ect. She had a few connections in the Black Market, whose names always got her to where the good stuff was, and sometimes her presence alone was enough. She usually didn't have to resort to violence to get what she wanted, but sometimes coming to an arrangement can get carried away. She went and stood by the bay door waiting for the doors to open, and giddy with excitement at what she might be able to get her hands on.

If she wasn't able to talk someone into giving her what she wanted then she'd just have to take it, she switched her omni-tool on and activated Osiris. With a soft-whirring noise it came to life, and her eye-piece lit up a light blue hue. "So what's the play? Do you need us all with you, or do you mind if I take a quick detour to the Black Market." she smiled beneath her mask and hood, "Never know when something new or useful might be out, I could have this ship stocked with newest equipment and parts by the time its time for us to get out of here..." she tried to hold back the anxiousness and excitement in her voice that came when she talked about obtaining things that no one or only a few people should have.

Chris let out an audible groan. "You're with me today angel." He put a hand on the top of Sasha's head and mussed her hair. "You're gonna suck to the sides and cover the cap'n and me alright?" He let his hand fall and looked to her tool. "Whatever that is, no playin with it in he ship." He squinted and pulled his DMR from over his shoulder, checking it over he smiled. "Remember, no going crazy..... Unless I say."

Sasha rolled her eyes. "Can't be helped then." The disappointment in her voice a bit obvious. She grinned slyly at his comment about Osiris. She definitely wanted an opportunity to get it into the ship's systems so she could see the layout and run her own diagnostics, but she saw that would definitely be hard if Chris was going to be monitoring her use of it...and especially since she was just told not to play with it in the ship. Then again, he'd have to catch her. "It's not a bomb, ya know." She retorted to his comment, "Do your best to stir something up then." She re-checked her utility belt to make sure it was fastened and that everything was where it should be.

Chris poked Sasha in the forhead. "I 'know' it isn't a bomb, I'm telling you to not do something to the ship with it." he sighed and readied his own pistol. "If you get kicked off the ship it'll be 'my' problem and I really don't feel like having problems."

Chris shrugged. "Cap'n hasn't told me, I'm assuming we're going to rob something or someone."

"Or maybe we might be sent as diplomats of the human race as representatives to our first contact with an alien race." Devon's hand landed on Chris's shoulder with a small thud. He then took his hand a swung it towards the ship's enterance panel. After a few seconds of what seemed like random tapping, he withdrew his arm and allowed it to swing down his side. He made his way inbetween the two crew mates to the front of the entrance."We're going to a judges house for the party and his wife is thr host." Just as the final words left his lips the door began to come alive with a loud hiss.

Sasha grinned beneath her mask. "I take it we're not on the official guest list?" she wondered what kind of things a judge would have in his house worth taking, "Do we plan on changing?" she tried to picture herself in a fancy dressed, and she giggled aloud. "I don't really think that anyone in their right mind would let us in to such a party." She looked at the other two. "No offense, guys."

"Fortunately we're the only guests invited. And I'll have you know that I look pretty damn good in a suit." He proped his head up comically trying to emphasize his loose choice of words.

Chris rubbed his beard. "I've played the part of rich boy, I clean up rather well thank you." He scratched underneath his chin. "Besides since when have you been one for putting on an act successfully Angel?"

Sasha jabs Chris's shoulder, "Last I checked, I'm suppose to kill from the shadows. Either people see me before they die or as they're dying. Infiltration is the name of the game. No need for dress up. Or just blow a space station out of orbit so all witnesses perish...either way, it's a win."

Chris rolled his eyes. "Y'know that's not what I meant. You're terrible at playing a part, and you know it." He grinned slyly. "I bet the cap'n could out play you in that field, or even Thrace n' Doc."

With the supplies of the ship tallied and gathered, Thrace moved them to the cargo bay, it was slow going with his damaged leg, but then again, there wasn't as much as he had thought. With all of the supplies gathered in the cargo back, he locked the room down, and made his way out of the ships cargo bay and back to the common areas, he , "Leg first, Black market second. Lets see if the documents will work." He moved to the small kitchen unit and tapped on the entry door, "The Captain and the others are on their way to whatever their up to, I'm heading out, the cargo access is locked. It's gonna be you, Colt, and the kid once I head out. I'm heading to medical station to get my leg fully repaired. If you end up changing your mind, I'll be either there or on my way one way or the other." He turned and limped out of the ship, making his way to the medical station, for now he'd go light, listen to the sounds of the station, see how the masses here moved.

Tasha had decided to accompany Thrace. She knew she was going to be bored if she didn't, and let me tell you one thing, Tasha hated being bored.

She walked outside with Thrace, glancing sideways at him with a concerned look on her face.

Thrace smiled and nodded to her, "Glad you changed your mind Tasha." He looked for the system directory for the station, locating their location, then the medical center. He sighed, "Might be better to get a shuttle there, long walk..." He tapped on the directory, "Here, were going here."

Tasha nodded and walked along side him, feeling strangely out of place, out of the ship. She belonged in the cozy comfort of the ship, not out in the open, unprotected and vulnerable.

She shivered at that thought and grabbed Thrace's hand. "C'mon, let's go!"

Smiling, she walked in the direction of the med bay, feeling very weak for some bizarre reason. She didn't feel gross or anything... Hmm. Strange.

Thrace let her lead him, his injuries making him feel weak. He sighed and said sarcastically, "I guess this is the usual happening when one jumps out of a moving car, then blows it up huh?" He was trying to find humor, in a broken leg. He suddenly felt crazy, "Man I need some new lines..."

"Well don't you two make a lovely couple." The door finally opened allowing Devon and his crew to exit. Neptune was dark but kept its blue hue in any corner of light anyone laid there eyes on. The super dense dome of transparent materials kept the neptunian gas clouds out if the sanctioned atmosphere though they where only a mile high they seemed higher Devon thought to himself as they exited the Spaceport. Neptune unlike mars was shaped diffrently. Just like on Uranus the human population stayed in the high atmosphere of Neptune. The city was divided into smaller circular plateforms connected to each other by short briges where vehicles and pedestrians can cross over. "Residential District is this way." Devon pointed to an adjacent plateform's lower level which made up the underside of the taller commercial buildings above it.

Tasha smiled at Thrace, with just a hint of coldness in her eyes. "Yes," She said icily, "and if you didn't, maybe I wouldn't literally be trying not to strangle someone because I am so worried."

She cocked her head at him and looked ahead, squeezing his hand slightly harder.

Thrace's spine turned to ice when she spoke, he chuckled nervously, "Right... But... Ah..." He sighed in resignation and followed after her. After a moment he said, "I just reacted to the situation... we needed a distraction... so..." He shrugged, "I'll be more careful in the future, But..." He looked at her, "As long as your there to put me back together, I guess I'll be alright."
