I have been doing some reading, and I have discovered that One of Hearts One of Hearts with his Radar has a good chance to detect stealth equipped units. Another system that would work is Motion Detectors and (as we already know) Sonar.
Another reason to bank up and buy Radar.

Remember that we have appointed Purr Purr as our fearless leader, so all suggestions go to him.

I wish I did. I think knowing what we are for sure up against is wise and then deciding what to do from there is the goal.

Uh, no. Read back. Chaska is NOT leading this group for reasons I have already typed out.

Eon's Jin has one piece of this puzzle - the ability to hack into the House Shiva Bio-Comms. Chaska has another - the knowledge of the Abominations. I am hoping we'll both share that information with the rest of the group and then as a group, we'll decide together on what to do about House Shiva. =)

Purr Purr I'm confused. I thought you had volunteered and we agreed to you being our lead?
Psychie Psychie

Here. =)
"If you come with Cerberus, we form pack. If want survive, pack must have alpha. One direction - not eight." Anyone doing the math might note that the humans in the group added up to six. What was left? The birds. Chaska was counting the War Birds not as mere pets, but as true team members, equally worthy of respect as the humans.

"Chaska will lead this mission. But only if all of you agree to three. You too, Toni. Lance.

"First, follow Chaska example. Undastand. All that I do, I do for ChiefRybeck. No other. So no argue during mission. Save it for after-mission aboard Kraken.

"Second, you have problem? Come to me. We solve together. I no can fix unless I know broken.

"Third, you start think of what is best for pack, first. What is best for you, second. Think like pack, we succeed like pack. Think only for self? We die alone.

"Undastand? Everyone agree?"

Chaska and Woodstock have not ceased their progress - step by step, breath by breath, he is offering this while taking point into the monorail tube - into the dangerous unknown.

Followed by no one agreeing to his conditions. Just people saying basically, "Sure, you can be in charge," and "Yeah, you can lead us during scouting."

Here. =)
In an unbothered tone, Chaska casually reminds. "We Cerberus. ChiefRybeck call us his gorehounds. I think this mean we pack, not individuals." In sharing his point of view, Chaska's calm voice sounds like that of a thoughtful philosopher.

"But no want pack? Then no pack. No need Chaska lead anyone. Continue as before. Did well enough."

Chaska continues on, making his point by getting a move-on and focusing on getting to the facility.

And so, continue as before. Did well enough. No biggie. =)

I'm honestly confused on everything and just rolling with it!
Cool! =) If you have questions, ask away?

Sherwood Sherwood Looks like we have two in favor of waiting for House Shiva to leave and one abstaining thus far? Hopefully Mirgris will be able to post his feelings on the matter. Moving can take it out of you! =)

Jin in between listening to House Shiva and watching out down the tunnel proceeds to relay what she knows of the Shiva Bio-Comm frequency and how to listen in. (I presume it would require having the Bio-Comms skill and maybe knowledge of Biology?)
I believe that everyone here has the Bio-Comms skill, which is what would be needed to hunt for the right frequency, but JIn has already done the work. All you need to is share the info of what channel to listen in on.

Hey Sherwood Sherwood At what point can we make alterations to our characters' Bio-E point expenditures? I am thinking that the Omega Blaster, while nice, is one hell of a point drain that I could use for other things as I upgrade my Casting Guns.

I am thinking that I'll let you do that once you get back to the Kraken and spend your new Bio-E you'll get from leveling up.

Yep! House Shiva struck me as the type to leave little presents behind. Glad I'm playing one of my caution-minded characters. =)

Psychie Psychie I think Toni might be up next - looks like she's the only one in our with skill in demolitions disposal.

One of Hearts One of Hearts Oh wait. Or Gus? Gus has Demolition Disposal too. I think Toni's chances are better?

To whomever wants to do the honors, may I recommend the expenditure of an Action Point?

This is not the kind of roll you want to fail on If you know what I mean? =)

How far out does Chaska go exploring?

it will take several hours for your suits to be ready to travel again, so you have some time to rest and talk if you want.
Sherwood Sherwood You haven't yet provided data as to what the surface looks like and that's paramount to survival. So... I guess my response to that question would be... how far seems reasonable/practical? =)

Chaska's Host Armor, Wyldkat, is thermosynthetic and thus does not require rest nor sleep. Chaska is a lifelong outdoorsy type with a P.E. of 32. Woodstock eats the pure protein Chaska has prepared pre-mission for him (see his character sheet for details). Chaska would like to rest hidden (not sleep) outdoors on the surface for a short spell (again, if feasible; if not, return immediately).

Upon learning what he can, he'd like to return to Cerberus and the group and share his findings, then he and Woodstock can sleep (while he can). =)

Chaska would also like to ask Woodstock what he thinks about all of this and if he's up for it, send Woodstock into the air (again, if feasible) to recon in the way only Black Talon War Hawks can. =)

Note to self: Woodstock requires only 4 hours of sleep.

Sherwood Sherwood Where is the Falconer O.C.C. so often mentioned in Legion (p. 33)? All I can find is a fellow player's version of it. You mentioned goodies in the Rifter magazine - is the Falconer O.C.C. among them?

EDIT: I'm not wanting to change Chaska's O.C.C. or anything like that; I just don't know if Falconers are a thing in your game or not. =)

Sherwood Sherwood One more thing I'd like to mention - when do we get to 2nd level? It's been 8 pages of IC and the game started back in 2023! Raaawrz! =)

Have some random kitten GIFs. =)

he said when we get back to the ship to spend bio-E points IIRC

Sorry, I spaced on giving a good description of the outside terrain.

Going topside, you discover that there is heavy forest with thick underbrush, reducing visibility and it will make any land travel slow as you struggle through the foliage. There are old remains of buildings here and there, but for the most part it is just heavy woods.

Regarding the Falconer OCC, I am not familiar with that class. It might be in an issue of the Rifter that I don’t have or I haven’t seen yet.

And you guys are probably going to go up to third level no problem, maybe fourth by the time you get back to the Kraken. Then you’ll get your bio-e for leveling up and can spend it on upgrades.
