Speaking for myself, you seem like "decent people," One. I can game with just about anyone who cares because teaching games is a heck of a lot easier for some people than teaching compassion and appreciation - two golden virtues I see in you and hold in high regard.

Everyone here are wonderful folks to play/write with, I absolutely detest the Palladium system even though I have been playing it for many, many, many years (and the dice roller on this site absolutely hates me) but I see one of these guys post a game and I want to play with them and write with them. I am not sure how far they are away...Jin's motion detection has a range of 60 feet or so. (That is why Jin would only run 60 feet ahead of the party in their tunnel scouting.)

Given the nature of the Bio-Comms and the implied craftiness and resourcefulness of House Shiva, I'm surprised this is being considered - but hey! I'm not about to turn down a good like this! Nice one, Eon!

Before Eon rolls, might we get a firm yea or nay on Action Points? Given that we're 1st level and the difficulty of the task, Jin's chances of success can't be much lower. An Action Point (if allowed) might literally mean the difference between success or failure at what could be a critical juncture.

Ok, lets go ahead and make use of Action Points.
For those that do not know what they are, they are points that you can spend on any dice roll you make. Each point can add a 1d6 to a d20 roll, or on a percentile roll, you still roll a d6, and every pip on the die gives you a +5% to the percentage roll.
Players get 5 + 1/2 your current level rounded up in points, and unspent points do not roll over to your next level. Action Points need to be declared to be used prior to making the roll, and if your modified total equals a 20, it does NOT count as a Critical Strike; those only hit on a natural 20.

Just trying to listen in will not alert the Shivans that you are there unless you do something to announce your presence by talking on their channel or making enough noise that you are heard through normal hearing. Failure would just mean you are unable to determine the frequency that they are using.

I have been doing some reading, and I have discovered that

with his Radar has a good chance to detect stealth equipped units. Another system that would work is Motion Detectors and (as we already know) Sonar.

At the moment, no, because the two stealthed Shivan units are down a long tunnel a few thousand feet away. Too much interference in the tunnel to see them from this distance. Closer up and you just need a Perception roll.
