Mood: Not Enjoying This Morning

Interacting with: @GiannaCoco
She breathed a sigh of relief as another student took the girl away from her. "Excellent! Thank you!" She picked the torch up of off the ground, and ran around the square with it. "Hold her, please, and try not to go insane!! You'd have to be really stupid to catch madness from a toddler."

Eventually she gave up on water. She'd have to put it out by less direct means. She smashed the torch against the cobblestones, trying to smother it. Sparks flew out from the torch, burning her exposed hands and knees. But she kept pounding it, weakening the fire slowly.

She paused in her senseless bashing of the torch as someone called out to her. "The rescuing-? Oh! Yeah, Um, terrific! I just rescued a mad child from the.. fire she was setting..." She shook away the thoughts of doubt. Not the time. "If you see anybody fleeing, the main steps are getting crowded out by those infected by the madmen and those fighting them, we might need to find another way to get them safely to the academy. Unless it's urgent, we might need to find a new place all together..."

She turned back to the boy, dropping the finally dead torch. "Ok, first, we take care of crazy little sister here, then we need to put out these burning buildings. Anyone know where the nearest fire hydrant or fire station is?" Did Death City even have either of those things? She hadn't been here that long. "If we don't know, we should spread out and find it! Can you manage the girl, or should I take her, uuuhhhh...?" Who was this guy again?

Down in Death City

Victoria Eddlman

animegirl1-1.jpg
Making her way through the streets of Death City, the girl was obviously in a panic. Every way she tried to turn seemed to lead to either fire or another person who had gone completely bonkers which meant she was always turning left or right or back in circles. Quite honestly, she had gotten to a point where she was completely lost. Death City was her home and she was lost.

It almost looked as though she was trying to lose herself though. Her eyes weren’t quite focused on anything around her and the more a person watched her, the more they would see that she was actually walking into walls quite a lot although she seemed to bounce right off. And her face remained frozen in the same expression throughout all of her lostness.

Then, something caught her attention. She wouldn’t have been able to say if it was a sound or a sight if someone asked her, so perhaps it was a combination of both. Ultimately, her eyes turned to the sky as a bullet was fired into the air. The teenager began to make her way towards it, still running, as her breath gradually progressed, getting faster and faster. The girl would push herself into hyperventilation soon if she didn’t take a break; she didn’t know that though and she had no reason to stop running.

Slowing herself, she glanced around the corner and saw a single woman standing there. She held a gun in one hand and the girl was hesitant to approach. ”Are you…” her voice was practically a whisper at first although she eventually realized she would need to be louder to get the girl’s attention, “Are you still… with it… not crazy?” she called out as she gradually moved herself out into the open.

The girl looked to be about Victoria’s own age and after a moment, it clicked in her mind. “You’re a meister! You’re with the academy, right? I can’t believe I didn’t think to go there…” Her voice was flooded with excitement and something else… relief? “We’ve gotta go get everyone!” she emphasized before she took off running again, this time with the look on her face that said she knew where she was going and no one was going to stop her along the way.

Pyro Child Struggles; Enter Victoria Eddlman

”NO!” the child screamed as she was picked up while her hand swatted at the hand that held her. ”Look at the pretty light!” she repeated her previous statement. ”In the light you’ll see…” she began while she continued to struggle against the man’s grip, becoming quite squirmy although it ultimately wouldn’t be enough to get herself free.

For the moment, the situation seemed under control. The students had managed to extinguish the torch although very little could be said for the city that was still ablaze. However, they would soon hear the sounds of a newcomer, one with rapid breaths who looked as though she was on the verge of collapse. Breathing between each word, she spoke. “More… students… good…” Her body bent over as she placed her hands on her abdomen, a cardinal sign that she was very much out of breath.

Without any further warning, her knees buckled beneath her sending her body sprawling onto the floor. She was still very much awake though, and if they looked, they would see that she was crying. “I saw it.... the demon. I don’t know how else to describe it. He… he went luccid and turned to me after he looked at it… after he heard me scream. ‘Why are you screaming?’ he said. ‘Spreading the word is not scary.’” The complete and utter terror in her voice was evident, obvious, haunting even. “I turned and I ran. And I can still see the demon in my head…”

“Silent Knight” Keziah Swan & “Axel” Grace Taghan & Malacai “Grave” & Isaac “Lion”

Keziah reflexively raised Axel up in front of her chest as the tip of the chain whip just barely scratched against her chest leaving a tear in her black shirt and the slightest sign of a drop of red blood. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a solid hit and the whip proceeded to coil around the axe that Keziah held. “It’s RED!” Keziah proclaimed as her eyes glanced down at the scratch on her skin. “Rivers run… WITH BLOOD!” The meister whose strength was now amplified with madness yanked on the axe in her hands drawing Malacai in closer as he was now attached to the axe through Isaac.

Axel’s head materialized out of the axe handle as she began to gnaw on the chain whip coiled around her neck. In a normal situation, she would have been reacting to a choking sensation. However, Axel did not care at the moment. Fresh blood from Axel’s mouth mixed with slobber as she attempted to eat the chain whip. “Sour apples taste good with blood! It makes them SPICY!!”

Isaac was disgusted. “Ugh. When I imagined a good fight, this is not what I pictured. Hey, partner? Mind helping me out here?”

As if in answer, Malacai uncoiled the chain whip, ensuring that the spikes bore deep into Axel’s throat as he was doing so.

“Ugh! He has built in TOOTHPICKS! GIVE HIM BACK!!!” she cried.

“So, you like blood, do you? Well, have some more then!” Malacai shouted as he pulled the whip completely free, opening many wounds in Axel’s throat. Malacai then proceeded to ready his whip for another strike, if necessary.

Issac had a chill ran down his spine as Malacai went about his actions. Isaac himself was now coated in a layer of the haunting red liquid. “That’s not exactly what I had in mind. I may like fighting, but being covered in blood doesn’t exactly sit right with me.”

Normally, Malacai would respond with a remark of his own, but now was not the time for that. “These guys are completely mental. If we are going to snap them out of whatever they are stuck in, this may be necessary.”

“A SCARLET BATH! Taste the inferno and you’ll spread the word!” preached Axel.

Malacai proceed to take another lash. I need to knock Keziah out. Hurting the weapon isn’t going to do anything.

Keziah’s eyes widened as her own grin, which had been constant and consistent, remained as bright as before, even through the moment where the spike dug into the side of her abdomen. The blow was harder than she had anticipated, if indeed she could anticipate, and it sent the mad meister stumbling backwards, nearly falling flat on her buttocks although something - or someone - stopped it.

Axel flew backwards in Keziah’s hands, forming back into the axe, except for her arm, which reached into Keziah’s pocket and yanked out a phone with a picture on the screen, “SPREAD THE WORD!!!! FULFILL YOUR DREAMS!! HEEEHAAA”

The momentum carried Axel past Keziah’s ear and into the head of the person behind them. It was another teacher that had come to help.

“Oopsie. Tasty CHEESE in an EGGSHELL crackle blue! HAAAAHEEHEE!”

Collapsed at the feet of Silent Knight was Professor Delany, NOT instructor, although she very clearly would not be teaching classes anymore. Blood pooled on the cobblestone.

Well this NEW student shows some promise at least…Nicole thought when she listened to the response of the silver haired student to here inquiry about the rescue operation. She seemed rather collected despite the chaotic situation, however she seemed a bit unfocused. Perhaps my sudden appearance interrupted her chain of thought…though this is just conjecture on my part.

Nicole then took stock of the situation. Now that the crazed child’s torch had been doused, controlling the spreading flames would be easier.
I hope some firefighters come to help contain the blaze soon. Fire fighting is unfortunately something I don't excel in, even if I directed these other students on how to contain the blaze. Nicole turned to the silver haired student and noticed that a little girl had appeared on the scene near some other students within visible proximity to the silver haired girl and herself. Nicole looked at the student with the silvery hair and said, “I hope some firefighters show up soon. We're not experts in fire containment. In the mean time let's see if we can help that little girl over there.” Nicole paused for a moment. “My name is Nicole by the way. You’re a new student at the DWMA aren’t you?” While waiting for a response Nicole observed the little girl interacting with the nearby students, straining to overhear what was going on. It seemed the girl was frightened and having a mental breakdown.

Kamryn 'JJ' Vessot

1-Star Meister

DWMA EAT Student

Partner: Thalia Travis

Mood: Horrified, Serious, & Determined

Start Location: Outside

End location: Outside

Kamryn continued to stare around wildly, as the madness progressed and grew around the duo. She barely heard Thalia as she first spoke to her, and did not notice the tugging on her sleeve. What finally snapped the meister out of her stupor, was Thalia’s shouting. She blinked, and her head snapped to her weapon partner. “Sorry…” She apologized, her mouth dry. “I don't know what happened to me there. I'm alright now.” She finished, her hand coming to rest briefly on Thalia's shoulder, before she let it drop to her side again.

Her eyes flicked quickly to Death City, and widened as she noticed the fire started within. She then turned slightly, to face the maddened pair and those combating them. Her eyes shut briefly as they landed on the NOT instructor, Professor Delany, laying on the ground, blood pooling upon the cobblestone. This was madness at it's highest, and the one-star meister frowned, and hardened her initial shock. She had a responsibility, just as much as the rest, to help where she could.

Her eyes returned to Thalia, now determined, and she nodded.
“Let’s get to helping!” She said, her current attitude the opposite of what had been seen in the classroom, completely serious. She turned back to the madness, but made no moves past that, trying to decide where they would be they most helpful at. “Any suggestions?” She murmured out, quiet, yet loud enough for Thalia to hear.

Undine Isle

Undine was in shock and completely unsure of what to do. She hadn't been a miester very long and even though she was getting better at not letting her insecurities get the best of her, she still had days where she would doubt her abilities in battle; this was most definitely one of those days. Her gaze snapped to her weapon for some type of encouragement. "We can do this, Aoi. Right?" She tapped her hand against her thigh unsure.

Code Name: Dine Isle

Rank: NEW/NOT Student

Location: The Lone Classroom

Weapon: Aoi/Ponytails

Status: Even More Unsure

The worst we can do... Her thoughts strayed off at the sight of one of the professors laying in a pool of blood next to the battle. She was most certainly, if not close, dead, and that realization brought a pain to the teenage meister's chest. Madness was usually something they just told you in lessons, textbooks, and on the news when a kishin egg had attacked. Not in real life. How do you fight Madness?

Knowing that her thoughts were taking a turn for the worse, Undine decided to focus back on Aoi instead of the chaos -she needed to keep her mind clear and focused, and getting sidetracked from fear was not something she needed right now. Grieving the loss of lives would be later when no other bodies were in jeopardy.

"Aoi, don't get me wrong, I love being your meister and I love you too ponytails, but until we can learn a new technique to lengthen your weapon size, we have more practicing instead of jumping into battles at the beginning of the school year, or you magically grow a few inches," She let out a hesitant breath hoping that she wasn't making the wrong decision. "I don't think it's the most wise for us to be jumping into close range combat; which is what we'll have to do." This was the calmest and most sense Undine had spoken all morning ever since she'd woken up and had that escapade in the hallway. She wanted to help and get in on the battle, but unless she and her weapon could suddenly master close range combat or find another way to fight, most likely if they were to jump in they'd either get severely injured or... Well, the second one's not much of a mystery.

"I just wanted my freaking Ice Cream Social without a side of Madness. But, of course, we can't always get what we want." She glanced down at her stomach as it let out a loud grumble. Even as she cringed repeatedly at Keziah and Axel's shrill yells of insanity, trying to tune them out, Undine's stomach still had a mind of its own and couldn't care less about the battle or all the blood as long as something wound up in it and soon."No matter how much we may want it..."

Undine held out her hands for her meister. It was his decision on what they were to do. If he wanted to turn into weapon form, if he wanted to fight directly or protect the civilians, the choice was his. Maybe this was a subtle way of putting the burden of deciding onto Ponytails, or maybe Undine really did just value her weapon's opinion. Either way, the battle raged on with or without them.

Thalia Travis

Location: Top of the DWMA Steps

Thalia looked up to her meister but she only shrugged at the question, “What do you think would be best?” Her eyes continued to wander around the burning Death City; Thalia then continued to look back to her former teacher who was laying on the ground dead. At the sight of the blood pooling on the cobblestone, a visible shiver went trembling down her spine. She had never seen such a thing before and she didn’t know how to react.

Calm down, Thalia, she thought to herself as she tried to slow the visible trembling of her entire body. You’re a weapon. It’s your job to protect your meister and to protect everyone else who needs it, and you can’t do that if you’re too scared to make a move.

It was then that Thalia’s eyes went up to meet the gaze of her meister once more and this time, her own expression was flooded with determination. “I’ll follow wherever you lead, and then I’ll always come back once more.” The statement was followed quickly by a brilliant glow that surrounded Thalia’s body as her physical form was replaced with that of a weapon - a boomerang that spun its way up into the air before it came spinning back down towards its meister of choice. “Just throw me at something! I can take it!”

Daemon Alexanders and Zyra Harriot

Location: Top of the DWMA Entrance Steps

"Wow! The whole city is really going down, huh?" Daemon sauntered down the street, looking around at the damage done. It was surprising that all this was happening on a day where Daemon had actually wanted to do something other than schoolwork. He really did find some dumb luck in situations like this. He hadn't gone on a quest to collect any souls recently, and it ended up coming to him in the end. A wide grin spread across his face. "This is actually pretty cool..."

He winced in pain as Zyra brought her open palm down on the back of his head. He cried out in pain, and looked at her, pouting. "
Heeey...that hurt, Z..." But Zyra just looked at him with annoyance, and he shut his mouth.

Zyra sighed, her blonde hair bouncing with each step she took. "This destruction is really stupid, Daemon. They interrupted our classes!" She looked down at her apparel, and sighed in sadness. "I even wore some nice clothing today!" She had, of course, spent a few extra dollars on a new outfit that she had seen in a small shoppe in the city. It was quite goth, with a shorter skirt and leggings. The shirt had ribbons galore, black and white and red. And her new boots added a few extra inches to her height. She had thought it was cute, and Daemon never bought anything with their combined money, so she took the bait.

Daemon giggled, grabbing a small part of Zyra's red cloak. "
A new outfit and you still wear this? Not very new..." She glared at him, and pulled the fabric from his hands. He wasn't intending to hurt her feelings at all, she knew that. He was just teasing her as if he were a younger brother. And in situations like this, she was not in the mood.

Daemon huffed out a breath, and turned to look back down the alley. He wore his over sized black jacket, as always, with the sleeves going well past his fingertips. He wore slack jeans and sneakers, with obvious discare for his look. His hair was a mess, sticking up in a few places. Zyra had tried fixing it on the way to school, but he had kept running away from her groping hands.

As they rounded a corner, they saw their first enemy. Of course, they recognized Keziah and Grace, but they seemed to be acting weird. Daemon looked over at Zyra, expecting an answer. "Well, smartypants? Whatcha got?" Zyra watched them, rubbing her cheek. "They seem to be overcome with madness...their physical ability is enhanced, and the fact that they both are affected by it makes it an even more dangerous opponent, which means that we should-"

Zyra couldn't finish her words before Daemon ran past her. "
Let's go!"

Zyra watched him run towards their enemy, and sighed before dashing after him. "
You blundering idiot! You can't just run into a fight without thinking ahead!" But Daemon was already turning around, his arm held back. Zyra lept forward, and annoyed expression still on her face before she began to change colors. Her skin became an eerie silver, and her clothing, excluding her red cloak, turned completely black. Her body began to elongate and thin, and she spun in the air, transforming into her weapon form. Her legs became two chainsaw blades, and her upper body molded into a black gauntlet.

She flew directly into Daemon's hand, and he gripped the inside of the gauntlet, wrapping his fingers around the handle. Zyra's cloak flew after her, and he caught it in his freed hand, quickly placing it over his own head. The cloak billowed like a cape behind him as he continued on with his momentum, bringing his hand over his head, the chainsaw glinting in the light of the sun and the fire.

Before he brought it down, a mad grin crossed his face, and excitement bore through him. "
Hellooooo there!"

Jessyka "Bullseye" Volontari and "Smoky" Skylar Emerson

Location: Bottom of the DWMA Steps

Jessyka’s head turned swiftly as she heard someone behind her. It was a girl. She didn’t appear to be much older than Jessyka was herself, if she even was older. “Are you still… with it… not crazy?”

Jessyka had to admit she was a bit confused by the statement. “Crazy? Um… no. I don’t believe so,” she commented, although she was more commenting to herself than answering the girl’s question.

“U-Uhm, master, I think she’s not well-” Skylar said, his eye looking at the odd girl. He was not sure what her intentions were, so, a small light started to glow from the mouth of the weapon, like a small spirit ball. “Just point me, m-my aim’ll be true.”

“You’re a meister! You’re with the academy, right? I can’t believe I didn’t think to go there…”

“Yes, I am a meister,” Jessyka replied, this time directly answering the question that had been asked. Turning her attention to the weapon in her hand, she raised an eyebrow. “You really think so,” she inquired of her weapon, raising an eyebrow at the gun she held. Her attention distracted, Jessyka hadn’t even noticed that the girl had taken off in a run straight for the academy.

“She’s… odd to say the least.” Skylar sighs when he sees the girl run away, the eye closing. But, a small shot escaped the gun’s mouth, striking the ground next to them. “Oh god! I’m sorry!” Skylar says, starting to hyperventilate. “S-Sorry for screwing up!”

“Not at all,” Jessyka shrugged it off like it was nothing. “You know, Smoky, you apologize too much.” There was the hint of a smile in her voice as she spoke; it was something she had said to him before, and she knew it wouldn’t change anything, but she still had to say it. “Anyway, should we follow her?” the meister asked, finally having realized that the girl was gone. “I mean… she clearly knows something about what’s going on. Why was she asking if I was crazy? And she’s heading to the academy… that’s gotta mean something.”

“Mhm.” Skylar said, closing his eyes symbolising a nod, as he couldn’t do it in his weapon form. “Should I turn b-back to normal? I mean, I c-could screw up less than normal.”

“Hmm,” Jessyka contemplated. Then she remembered something. He had breathed in a lot of smoke when they had gone into the burning building. “Could you run? You really shouldn’t push yourself if that is beyond you right now…” She wasn’t trying to be mean with her statement; she actually legitimately cared for her partner although her tone may not have allowed that to show quite as well as she had originally intended.

“Hm!” Skylar said, as he turned back to his human form. He coughed a little, looking at Jessyka. “O-Of course I can! Lead the way, I will be right behind. If you n-need my help, just hold the right h-hand up, I will quickly transform.” As he was speaking, a sudden boost in his confidence could be sensed in his voice.

Jessyka shrugged and started running, hoping that the girl didn’t decide to take any weird turns along the way because Jessyka knew that she had already lost sight of the girl. If she wasn’t going to the academy, then they would likely never find her again. The closer the two of them got to the academy, the worse the situation became. There were more flames, more people scrambling in the chaos, and just overall more disorganization. “I’m really starting to wish I had a clue what was going on,” Jessyka muttered to herself. Stopping abruptly in front of the academy steps, Jessyka stared up the stairs to see her classmates engaged in oddly brutal combat. “What the…?” She was at loss for words.

Skylar, after a few steps, started to huff. He did inhale a little much of that smoke, but he wasn’t going to stop. “Come on Smoky, come on.” He muttered to himself, making him ignore the loss of air and the pain in his chest. He saw that Jessyka stopped and he then saw too, still breathing heavily. “Wha- M-Master, should we help?”

“Who do we help?” Jessyka remarked. There were classmates fighting classmates. Who was good and who was bad? It couldn’t be just a sparring match; the looks in their eyes were too serious for that.

It appeared that Ivy was fighting Igor. That wasn’t too out of the ordinary. However, Malacai and Daemon were fighting Keziah and that was what threw Jessyka off. The three of them had no reason to fight, did they?

“I-I, don’t know. I-I can brealy bre-” He stopped before he could say anything more. “I am r-ready as ever to fight anyone. J-Just your word, m-meister.” Skylar says, smiling and looking at the chaos.

Jessyka looked back to her partner realizing that he really wasn’t doing well. She held out her hand for him to transform, knowing that he would be more use in the present situation in his weapon form and also knowing that it would put less of a strain on his body.

Skylar nodded and transformed into his weapon again. “I-It’s much b-better here. So, who do w-we devour?” The gun spoke, the eye appearing again, looking at every battle.

“Um… I don’t know,” Jessyka admitted. “I suppose we could just ask, though.” Her eyes fell to the duel between Ivy and Igor, knowing that although they weren’t her favorite people at the academy by any means, they probably had some sort of idea of what was going on. “IVY!” Jessyka called out, desperately hoping that the meister was not in the mood to start a fight with her.

Jayce Hammerkin

Location: Entrance Stairs

Nickname: Pharoah

Partner: Alessa Wolf

Condition: Traumatized
Jayce couldn’t help but get distracted by the fight that was taking place nearly right in front of him. He wished he could help; he wished he could do something… anything! He had been an academy student for longer than most so he actually did know what he was doing - sort of. The young weapon’s eyes flickered back to his newfound meister. Jayce really did know why he wasn’t able to help. As a weapon, he was no use without a meister and his meister was… well… new. And Jayce knew that throwing her into a fight, especially one as intense as this one appeared to be going, would not be beneficial to either him or her in the long run.

The fact that they couldn’t help didn’t have any effect on his distraction though. No matter how much he knew that he could not help, his eyes did not stray away from the fight. Therein lied his problem. It was in watching the fight that the scene transformed him, consuming his mind and tearing away any remains of Jayce Hammerkin. All he saw was the death of the professor. That was enough.

The boy’s knees buckled beneath him and his arms flew over his eyes as he tried to unsee that moment - the moment of death. It was a moment he had seen one too many times and now another had been added to that list. His breathing accelerated. His body quivered.

“Not again…” he whispered, his words barely audible to anyone outside of himself. “I… I couldn’t… save her. No. I couldn’t save the professor. I just stood and watched like a… like a coward and now she’s dead and she’ll never be back.” Jayce very nearly started choking as he tried to hold back his own tears. “Kyr… no. I… I can’t.”

Throughout the breakdown, a little bird was constantly going off in the back of his mind. The other students would see him like this and it would only confirm what they already believed - that he was a coward. What would his new meister think of him breaking down at the sight of a death? Surely she wouldn’t want to be partners after this. Death was supposed to be something weapons and meisters encountered every day; they were supposed to be the ones who took action to prevent it. They were not supposed to be the ones crying over it and yet it seemed that Jayce would never be able to stop crying over it.

Kassana Silverstream

Location: Entrance of the DWMA (Top of the Steps)

The silver haired girl’s eyes watched the scene unfolding in front of her. She recognized the sensation that Keziah and Grace must have been experiencing; Kassana had read about more times than she cared to count and from what she remembered, it wasn’t good. It drove people to act against fear, to completely ignore every warning that their own mind sent them in regards to the danger around whatever they happened to be doing. It lead them to act without thinking, without consideration for their own safety, or, apparently, the safety of those around them.

Kassana’s gasp was audible as she watched the teacher’s body fall to the ground… dead. “No,” she whispered, the words barely escaping her lips with enough effort to make a sound.

Her eyes fell to her own hands. They were shaking. They were shaking and things were not going ok.

Kassana had read about heroes in her books. She had admired them, aspired to be like them, even hoped that one day she would hear someone call her a hero. However, watching as Malacai and Daemon attacked her two classmates, Kassana couldn’t help wonder if fighting wasn’t all there was to being a hero. I don’t know what to do… I don’t know what to do and I’m only a waste of space here.

Somehow, though, the silver haired girl knew that frowning about it would only make things worse. Determination entering her eyes once more, Kassana looked around. She ignored the fight because she knew she couldn’t help there and if she continued to dwell on it, her mood would only continue to spiral out of control. Her eyes fell on Erica and Aiko… at least she thought those were there names. Eyes flickering from Erica to Grace, Kassana couldn’t help but feel bad for the weapon whose sister had been infected. Still, there wasn’t much she could do about it at the time so her eyes moved on.

On and on they scanned the scene.

Aoi Asuka

Location(s):Outside

Classification: NOT Weapon

DWMA Nickname: Ponytails

Meister: Undine Isle

Mood: Happy, Worried, Amused,Determined

He was worried when he saw that she didn't forget about the worse that they could do, "Sor-" He was about to apologize or go on a apologetic streak when his meister made a complete 180 and became calm again. "Same to you Undine," He said quickly, "I like working with you, even if we are not really 'fighting', " He finished, supporting the previous words from his meister. It was true they had no actual experience due the class they were in, but when better to start. That being said, or thought; in this case, Aoi was truthfully worried for both their sakes, his meister was nearly always right when it came to planning out. If they fought, her prediction probably would always come through...and yeah no I am not thinking about that, he thought shaking his head.

Ponytails glanced at his meister stomach, remembering her almost never ending appetite, he would have laughed if this situation wasn't as dire or as serious. However, he wouldn't say that he wasn't amused. "Well, a Ice Cream Social is still a Ice Cream Social.. I'll take that with or without madness any day," He managed to joke, the psychotic voices of those infected with the Madness were starting to become numb to him. They had been doing that for a while, and so far, the same few words were as constant as the rest 'Spread the Word'.

He bit his tongue inside his mouth when her hands were outstretched for him to be in his weapon form. "Well you can't always be right..." He said worry dipping into the words, however the same was with his determination. (The Psychotic Screams...fills you will determination. -cough- Undertale -cough-). "Also, we aren't alone.." He said glancing at the classroom - looking more like a battlefield. He reverted to his weapon form, laying in his meister's hands.

Warren Langston

Location: In Death City's Streets

Warren allowed the transformation to wash over his entire body. He was quite proud of his transformation abilities and, as such, the smile never let his face throughout the process. Jumping up before his legs ceased to exist, Warren had quite honestly expected the girl - Freyja - to catch him and wield him like the weapon he was. He was nothing short of disappointed, therefore, when she failed to meet his expectation and instead allowed him to clatter onto the ground as the sound of metal hitting cement rung through the air.

“You dimwit!” Warren proclaimed quite loudly as he transformed back into his human form while waving his hand in front of Freyja’s face to no avail. “How could you drop me like that?! Me! The great Warren Langston - Evening Star of the DWMA!?” Shaking his head, Warren facepalmed before deciding she wasn’t worth another moment of his time.

His attention quickly turned to Nicole, Deryn and Samuel. They were very obviously students from the academy, but Warren didn’t know their names seeing as he had missed the first month of classes - that stupid sickness made sure of that. “Hey! You! Dude!” Warren called out to Samuel. “You got her under control?” He gestured to the little girl the man held onto. “I’m a little great for babysitting, but I may be able to make an exception…”

Unfortunately, Warren’s attention span did not last long enough for him to wait for an answer, especially considering the fact that another unfamiliar face walked in on the situation. Warren couldn’t help himself from inquiring right away, “Demon? What demon? What are you talking about, lady?” He walked right up to the girl, patting her on the head when her terror grew more and more obvious.

Turning back to Nicole, Deryn and Samuel, he asked one more question. “Do you guys have any idea what she’s talking about?”

IVY, DEMETRI, HONEY, IGOR, KASSANA, JESSYKA

Location: Literally on the Stairs of the DWMA

This Is Still Happening...

“IVY!” Jessyka called out, desperately hoping that the meister was not in the mood to start a fight with her.

“SHUT UP! I’M BUSY!” Ivy yelled as she dodged below Igor’s arm, which had turned into a buzzaxe. She side stepped him and used Demetri to hit him in the side of the head with the hilt. Igor stumbled, dazed as he shook his head. Ivy turned towards Jessyka with a menacing glare. “What?” She seethed.

The pink haired meister jumped backwards, taken aback by Ivy’s apparent rage. However, the girl’s expression remained firm; she knew that showing weakness in front of Ivy would get her put on a train to nowhere fast. “Would you mind telling me what the hell is going on?” Jessyka inquired. Her voice wasn’t angry, but it did express a desire for an honest answer. Whether or not she would actually get one remained unclear. “Why are you fighting Igor, why are Malacai and Daemon fighting Keziah…. just - why?”

“Igor saw the insane people and went insane and Keziah is also insane. Got it? Good, cause I have to fight a raging PSYCHO before he EATS PEOPLE. Goodbye!” Ivy quickly turned back to her opponent, knowing that he would not be dazed for long.

“Eloquent as always Ivy.” Demetri remarked, not giving a damn about how confused Jessyka might be.

Recovering from his daze Igor snapped his head over toward Ivy, a crazy look in his eye. Raising his buzzaxe he lifted his foot to run toward her. However, he forgot they were on a staircase and missed his step and tumbled to the ground. The momentum from his fall slid him down the stairs on his back a ways, his head bouncing on every step.

“What a dumbass.” Ivy growled, walking down the stairs towards Igor, planting her foot in his face. “If I’m going to be stuck fighting you AT LEAST PUT UP A DECENT FIGHT!” Ivy yelled, rubbing her foot into Igor’s gas mask.

Enter: The Children

Giving out a yell, Igor raised his arms and failed them up and down as if he was a child. His buzzaxe arm making more of a noise as the metal clashed around aiding to the sound of his yell. “SHUT UP! THE GROUND ISN’T STRAIGHT!”

“What are you? Three?” Ivy scoffed, raising an eyebrow at Igor’s temper tantrum.

“I thought he was two.” Demetri added.

“At least I’m winning.” Ivy smirked down at the behemoth.

Hearing the woman’s last comment Igor flailed a bit more violently. “YOUR CHEATING!” He growled, as he continued his tantrum.

“Oh yeah?” Ivy taunted as she raised her foot and began repeatedly slamming it into Igor’s face with a manic expression.

“I can’t believe this is happening right now.” Demetri mentally face palmed.

Enter: The Parents

And it was into the vicinity of the… situation between Ivy and Igor that Kassana Silverstream walked. She had spotted the one person who she was comfortable around and she knew that the current situation could have been making things difficult for this particular person. “Um… Honey? Are you ok? And… are they going to be ok?” her eyes flickered up to Ivy who was continually stomping Igor’s face into the ground while the psycho flailed about. One thing was for sure: Kassana had no desire to get any closer to that battle.

Honey was sitting on the ground with her hands covering her face. She wasn’t even looking at the battle between her friends at this point. “They’re going to be fine.” She whined, frustrated that she let this mess happen. Honey’s train of thought led her to believe that it was her not being able to control Igor that caused the fight. Raising up her head she looked toward Kassana. “Why can’t I control him?” She wondered, “Everyone else doesn’t have a problem with their weapons.”

“I’m not sure about that one,” Kassana commented. “I’m a weapon and I won’t even transform for my partner to fight. Doesn’t that make me a problem weapon too? Although I suppose it wouldn’t be a problem if I was strong like Igor… Then I could actually be useful.”

“No, no, NO! You are SO much more useful than Igor, Kassana!” Honey shouted at her friend. “All Igor does is run off and leave me, and then he’ll go and get himself into fights, which usually lead to him fighting Ivy, and” Honey glanced over to the fight between her friends before looking back to Kassana “and she kicks his face i-WAIT WHAT!?” Honey jumped to her feet and turned toward Ivy. “IVY WHAT IS HAPPENING!?” Honey shouted, concern in her voice.

“I’M NOT STOPPING AND YOU CAN’T MAKE ME!” Ivy screamed, as she continued to stomp on Igor’s face.

“Oh, now they’re both children. Great.” Demetri sighed.

“And you guys didn’t see this coming…?” Kassana sighed. “If Igor tried to eat me on the first day, I don’t see why it’s so surprising that he’s gone psycho now. And Ivy… well, she’s doing her job.”

Hearing Honey’s voice, Igor turned his head in her direction, Ivy now kicking the side of his face. Jabbing his buzzaxe toward Ivy Igor shouted “SHE’S CHEATING! I WAS WINNING BUT SHE CHEATED!”

“I DIDN’T CHEAT YOU LITTLE SHIT! YOU’RE JUST DUMBER THAN BRICK AND CAN’T FIGHT TO SAVE YOUR LIFE!” Ivy screamed at the top her lungs.

“There’s no need to shout Ivy, he’s right here.” Demetri remarked.

A New Target

A loud sound rung through the air as a bullet whizzed past Ivy’s ear, followed closely by the scream coming from Professor Hiro Mitsaki. “IVY! IGOR! DON’T WE HAVE BIGGER PROBLEMS TO WORRY ABOUT THAN YOUR ETERNAL RIVALRY!” Hiro snapped, his eyes flickering to the body of his former coworker lying dead on the concrete. He couldn’t help but wonder if that would’ve happened if more of his students had been taking the situation seriously.

“NOTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN OUR ETERNAL RIVALRY!” Ivy bellowed. “But yeah, I want to fight someone new.” Ivy beat her fist together. “I’m going to punch her in the face.”

“What am I? Chopped liver?” Demetri asked sarcastically.

“Sorry Demetri, I meant cut into tiny pieces.”
Ivy replied with a smirk on her face.

“Thanks. You say the sweetest things.” Demetri drawled.

Hearing the conversation happening on top of him, Igor raised his buzzaxe. “Cut into tiny MEAT PIECES!” He rephrased.

Ivy finally took her foot off of Igor’s face, hosted him up, grabbed him by the shoulder and turned him to face the direction of the fight with Keziah. “Hey Igor,” She whispered in his ear. “Sic ‘em”

With his new target in his sights Igor took off screaming. He ran like an enraged bull, even though he stumbled over a few stairs.

“IGOR WAIT!” Honey shouted but to no avail, the psycho was lost. “But I was so close.”

Ivy turned to Honey and awkwardly patted her on the head. “You tried kid.” She told her before running off to join the fight she so desperately wanted.

Erica was slumped on the ground. Though her body shivered, her eyes were fixated on the events in front of her. She watched in horror as student after student stood against her sister. She felt like she was going to puke, especially when the chain whip wrapped around Axel's neck. However, then something drastic happened. Her sister, Axel Grace, sliced clean through a teacher.

Suddenly Erica was on her feet. She no longer sobbed or whined for people to stop. The red of her face changed to a shade of anger as she belted out,

"GRACE. JEAN. TAGHAN!!!! YOU STOP THIS RIGHT NOW!!!!"
Erica

Aiko watched quietly standing beside Erica keeping her hand on her. It had been shocking seeing as the teacher was struck. It had left her wanting to react only to find grace jump to her feet. She looked taken back at the girl. "Erica..." She spoke gently held her arm looking at Erica. She had never seen her act in such a way before.

Keziah continued to swipe Axel in a significant lack of pattern. Axel's tongue appears, as if she were sticking it out at her sister. Erica tore free of her meister and shoved the other students in the way aside. She marched right up to Keziah and Axel, saying, "GRACE! THAT IS ENOUGH!!! You will stop it so HELP ME-ungh..."

Erica seemed to carelessly walk into her sister's swing radius, reaching out as if to hug the axe as it plunged into her gut. Again, something unexpected happened. Rather than being sliced in two, Erica disappeared, as if absorbed by her sister. If one looked closely, they would realize that Axel seemed to disappear as well. In their place, Keziah held a massive poleax.

Aiko felt Erica break away watching in shock seeing as the girl suddenly was struck. She watched in bewilderment as Erica vanished before her eyes. She noticed the weapon having changed shape, thinking little of it. She truthfully hadn't the slightest clue how to react to it. It wasn't something she ever heard of with a weapon fusing with another.

The meister charged forward, throwing care to the side. She darted quickly towards Keziah, attempting to attack from the flank. She jumped forward with her fist out to strike at the madness educed Meister. "Let Erica go and return to your darn senses!" She shouted out, her cocky attitude peeking out boldly striking unarmed towards him using her speed to strike Keziah.

Keziah leaned into the punch as if it were nothing more than a marshmallow as she continued to swing the poleax. The weapon whipped around, snagging on Aiko's clothes. It was able to give a small cut before something dulled the blade. The poleax began to wrench about as if being torn apart from the inside. At the same time a Soul Rejection shock fizzled through the weapon.

Aiko was caught off guard as her punch was practically ignored. She shifted back to try and escape the attack only to find the reach much longer then she expected. She gasped out catching the blade holding it in her hands. Blood trickled from the cut as she held onto the blade, stopping it from digging too deep. She held onto the backside, holding it and restricting it from cutting any deeper. She looked with a rather painful gaze, seemingly attempting to hide such an expression.

Aiko looked to the blade holding it tight, feeling as a shock ran through the blade and lashing at her. She cringed more as she held tight to the blade. She jumped up, using Keziah's grip on the blade to help as she drop kicked the fellow meister, fighting against the pain and holding tight to the weapon to try to dislodge it from her hands.

The combination of the Soul Rejection shock and the drop kick sent Keziah flying back, losing her grip on the poleax. However, the shock did not cease. The poleax continued to convulse. Within the fusion form, Erica and Axel fought for dominance.

Aiko clutched at the weapon, feeling Keziah's hold diminish as she felt herself fly back, landing onto her back. She held onto the blade, the shock running through her body. She held onto the weapon, cringing as each wave of energy rushed through her body, causing her pain. Aiko squeezed tight, her body naturally causing her to hold on, uncertain what to do withstanding the pain hoping Erica was alright.

Though Aiko was not aware, her soul was resonating with Erica. It was Axel's soul that caused the soul rejection as the madness inside her fought to take over.

Dead foliage littered the battlefield of Axel's mind. Black lightning shook the ground and sent shadows jumping into grotesque shapes. An invisible spotlight shone on Axel's back as she rocked in the fetal position.

Her voice came out in a monotone chill of computerized terms, "ERROR CODE: 663-426b. SYSTEM MALFUNCTION. REPAIRING SYSTEM. SYSTEM REPAIR FAILED. ERROR CODE: 663-426c. VIRUS DETECTED. PURGING VIRUS. VIRUS PURGE FAILED. ERROR CODE: 663-426d..."

Erica appeared in the fringe of the spotlight, looking down to her sister with concern, "Grace, this needs to stop. Let me help you."

Axel's voice paused for a moment. A shadow seemed to grow out of axel with glowing eyes and a wide smile. Axel's voice could be heard again, slightly sharper this time, as she stated, "INVASIVE CODE DETECTED. DELETE INVASIVE CODE. DELETE"

Aiko trembled resting on the ground. She cringed, bleeding out slowly as she held onto the weapon being shocked by it. She let out a sudden light laugh. "Hahahahaha... ah... I got this... r... restrain Kez... I'll be... fine..." She spoke trying to speak out clutching at the weapon in noticeable discomfort despite her attempts to act tough in response. She nodded a bit, wincing at the shocks going through her body a bit, unknown of the encounter her partner was engaging with Grace inside.

Maxwell "Axel" Kizuna, Eden "Prideslinger" Kizuna and Keziah Swan

Location: On Top of the DWMA Steps

Keziah’s entire body lurched backwards at the force of Aiko’s kick and the meister was sent flying backwards, her body landing flat on the ground, right in the pool of blood remaining from the teacher they had slaughtered. Her dark hair coated in blood as small droplets splashed up into the air landing on her face giving her the appearance of someone who had just bathed in the scarlet life. Pushing herself back onto her feet, Keziah’s body rocked back and forth before her eyes opened and focused themselves solely and entirely on Aiko.

“Tick tock, race the clock,” the mad girl muttered as the smile reappeared on her face. “Ashes, ashes, we all fall DEAD!” Laughing, Keziah took off in a mad charge straight at the meister who had just left her weaponless.

Max rolled his eyes at the dramatic display the mad Meister was giving off, cracking his knuckles a bit, “Hey, Eden, how's your aim?” he asked, directing a smirk at his brother before changing into weapon form.

Eden was rather displeased with the unnecessarily brutal conflict emerging between the girls, and despite his vague knowledge of madness, the orange-haired student seemed disappointed with the show unfolding in front of him. With a sigh, he started to sprint a bit in order to gain momentum and catch his sharp-bladed sibling mid-air. “They can dish out like big girls, then they can take it like big girls.” he groaned out, as if he was lecturing misbehaving children, spun round and catapulted the sword in his hand straight into Keziah’s path of madness.

The charging girl seemed to take no notice of the impending attack. Her eyes remained entirely focused on Aiko as her hands reached out as if to grab the helpless meister who had already been battered and slashed. “Ring around the rosie…”

Unaware and unprepared, just how Axel liked em. He transformed mid throw and slammed into the mad Meister like a bullet. His right fist planted itself directly into her stomach as the rest of his body caught her in the chest in a viscous sort of flying tackle. Axel did his best to get his left arm around her as they both went backwards. The maneuver was difficult but Axel managed to get his feet beneath him as he lost his momentum. At this point Axel had the mad Meister held fast, and was hoping Eden was right on his tail.

“Knock knock,” Keziah was still laughing as her hand smacked at Axel’s head all the while she also removed all the weight her body was bearing from her own two feet. “All fall down…”

Eden had taken to a rather cozy pace as soon as his brother’s steel left his hand, now strolling towards the rampaging girl with his hands in his pocket. “Hmph…” He scoffed at the whole situation, still in a distinctly grumpy mood, which had carried over from his outburst in class. After running his hand through his spikey hair one time, he picked up pace in the blink of an eye and chased after Maxwel, who had successfully brought Keziah down, now engaged in some sort of wrestling back-and-forth. “You got that, or…?” he asked his brother, barely hiding the attempt at teasing Axel, before he decided to get serious for a moment. “Pretty lively, isn’t she?”

Axel grinned as the girl simply let herself fall, twisting around the limp form to get an arm around her neck. “Quit being a lazy ass and get her arms, momma's boy!” Axel retorted with a smirk as Eden spoke.

“Sure, sure.” Eden replied, carrying a distinctly bored expression on his face, though he gave it his best to amplify that impression. He kneeled down and went for the flailing arms of Keziah in an attempt to get her under control properly.

“Took you long enough.” Axel grumbled, applying pressure to Keziah's neck to choke off her airflow. “No wonder dad never wanted to let you train with us, you're lazy and slow.” Axel mumbled, adjusting his grip better, though not realizing how close his thumb was to Keziah's mouth.

Eden groaned. “And you’re an idiot and have the looks of a moldy potato, we all have our burdens to carry.”

Keziah bit down hard. The girl would have yelled out something or other to go along with it, madness still flowing through her veins, but that wasn’t a thing that was possible given the fact that her airway was closed off.

Axel gritted his teeth, a hiss of air escaping has he literally launched the mad woman off of him with enough force to send her rolling across the ground. “Agh! Damn bitch bit me! And not in the good way!” Axel growled as he stood, “Time to knock this bitch out…”

Eden backed off hastily as the girl flew off of his brother who himself launched back a bit. His pessimistic glare went towards Axel’s thumb. “Yeah, she literally has absolute shit taste in men.” he mumbled before looking back to Keziah who was cackling around where she regained her stance. Shrugging, he leaped where he stood and transformed, the glow eventually revealing the intricately decorated rifle. “Take a swing.” he stated in a bored voice.

Axel's left hand shot out, catching his brother by the handle and switching hands as he approached the mad cackling woman. “Chew on this, bitch.” he said with a scowl before drawing Eden back for a heavy two handed swing. Axel slammed the barrel of the gun against the side of the woman's face with a sharp crack, carrying through to hold the gun in a pose one would make after hitting a baseball. “And it's out of the park!” he called out to anyone paying attention as the woman's body dropped like a sack of potatoes.

Eden felt himself crack into the girl’s skull, quickly realizing that it had done the trick. “Yay. Homerun… Or… whatever.” he sarcastically cheered on Maxwell with a brusque voice, underline by the sound of Keziah’s body hitting the floor. Eden sucked in a bit of air through gritted teeth in response to the sound her unconscious body made, as he transformed back into his human form. “I’m not a trophy, dude.” he groaned at Axel, before redirecting his attention to Keziah, then the bleeding body nearby. “I guess we got her, huh?”

Axel turned, surveying the scene as he dug about in his pockets. “Yea, I suppose so..” he muttered, quietly placing a cigarette in his mouth and lighting it. Axel took a long slow draw, puffing a cloud of smoke out before speaking again, “But we're just getting started…”

Attack on Snark: The True Assholes of the DWMA

Ren and Hotaru

Classification: Weapon and Meister

Nickname: Lazing Lotus and Mirage

Partner: Hotaru and Ren

Feeling: Snarky
Glancing around the area full of frenzied citizens and DWMA students, Ren slid his gaze over to Hotaru. “Have fun going in alone.”

Hotaru raised her eyebrows and laughed. “Oh no, I’m not.” Grabbing his wrist, she tugged him in the direction of the frenzied citizens and DWMA students. “You’re coming with me, partner,” she said with a southern twang. Squeezing his wrist, she smirked. “Have you always been this bony or is it just me?”

“The hell is wrong with your voice?” he questioned, staring blankly at her head, ignoring her question.

“It’s called the South, asshat,” she said. Axel and Prideslinger shouted something, but they ignored it since they were pretty sure it wasn’t directed at them. “You’re kidding right? We’re in Nevada right now. How are you questioning an accent three out of ten people here have.”

“You realize I’m from Japan, correct?” he asked in his ‘duh are you stupid we’ve been over this’ voice. “What makes you think I recognize the difference in people’s speech when English is my second language.”

She tsked, shaking her head dramatically. They were a decent distance away from the chaos at the steps of the DWMA, but the screaming was still as bad as it was where it started. “I should have known better than to assume we were of equal intelligence. My bad.”

“No, I just don’t have the energy to decipher the different ranges of stupidity in those around me.”

“You’re burdened with all the energy of a burrito. I get it. It’s fine.”

“Trust me, it’s tough being fully loaded.” he commented offhandedly, sending another bored glance at the few fighting groups around them. While he could recognize some faces of people who he’d probably seen in the hallways on his way to class so he could take a nap. Fighting back a yawn, he turned his half-lidded gaze back to Hotaru. “Do you even know where we’re going?”

Shrugging, she replied, “Not really, but barging into a fight sounds like a shit idea, doesn’t it?”

“Obviously,” he yawned. “Which is why I didn’t want to come.”

“Look.” She whirled around to scowl at him. “It would be rude to just up and leave in the middle of this,” she gestured around her, “mess. What kind of DWMA students would we be if we just ignored people setting themselves on fire and eating each other?” Poking him in the cheek, Hotaru said, “If we’re only gonna save the girl and not fight, we have to at least stay where it’s all going down.”

“Hn,” he muttered, glancing around again before spotting a store. “Hungry?” he asked, nodding in the food place’s general direction.

Mulling it over in her head, she said after about ten seconds of silence, “Yeah, alright. Let’s get some ice cream or something.”

“Over there,” he said, nodding his head again. “Or did you want me to lead? If so, you’ll have to stop holding my hand.”

She dug her fingernails into his wrist for a second before letting go. “Lead the way.”

Without a flinch or a word in response, Ren let his hand drop to his side before sliding it back into his jacket pocket. Flicking his gaze to his meister he started walking towards the shop he’d seen earlier that held a few cowering people. Stepping over some broken glass he entered through the open door, narrowing his gaze on the owner peeking out from behind his counter.

“You sell ice cream?” he asked, bluntly.

Somewhat terrified, the older man nodded.

Ren turned his head slightly to glance at Hotaru. “Oi. What do you want?”

She scoffed. “The best kind: dreamsicle. Three scoops in a waffle cone. With rainbow sprinkles.”

Rolling his eyes, he turned back to the older man who seemed to be shaking in confusion. ”Pistachio.” he said bluntly. “Three scoops in a waffle cone.”

“...W-wh...wha…?” the man stuttered, trying to understand what the two teens before him were asking.

Shouldering past Ren to the counter, Hotaru smiled politely at the man. “We’re DWMA students helping out with the chaos outside. It’s getting pretty bad and our friends really need the morale boost, you know? So we thought ice cream supplies would really help and we’ve heard so much about yours that we knew we’d make a good choice.” Insert winning smile and she finished with, “We just thought getting our own orders in would be good. Do you think you could throw in a tub or three of your top selling flavors? All expenses will be paid later by the DWMA.”

Ren shot her a look. “Since when are you so sickly sweet?” he asked.

It was a few moments later before the man nodded shakily and started to work, first on putting together the tubs of ice cream. Once they were set on top of the counter in front of Ren, he started to work on the two individual cones. Once done, he handed them each their cone. Grabbing his cone, Ren turned and started to walk out, eating his ice cream with one hand in his pocket. Leaving Hotaru to grab her own cone and the tubs of ice cream in a plastic bag and follow him out back onto the street.

Nickname: Alessa Wolf

Partner: Pharaoh

Feeling: Scared / Worried
Unsure of what to do about the young girl's cries, Alessa frantically looked side to side, wondering if there was someone who'd be able to watch her. Biting her lip, she glanced down at the girl, just barely shorter than herself. Attempting to calm herself by taking a few deep breaths, she forced a smile on her face, hoping it was enough to try and reassure the girl that everything would be alright.

"D-don't worry," she said, her soft voice barely able to be heard over the amount of noise being made around them. "Jayce is r-right. You can g-go home soon...!"

Holding her smile for a few moments longer she glanced around again at the madness happening around her. She bit her lip, glancing at her feet knowing that she would be fairly useless in a fight. She sighed. What would Jayce think of her? They'd just partnered up and while there was a fight going on, the weapon beside her wouldn't even be able to do anything because of her useless skills. Feeling tears start to pool in her eyes, she glanced up, realizing that said partner had been a bit quiet.

Looking up just in time to see Jayce's knees buckle beneath him, Alessandra gasped, rushing over, dropping to her knees beside him. "Ja-" she started only to be cut off as he started to mutter something. She could just barely make out any of the words.

Hesitantly placing her hand on his shoulder as he started to choke, holding back his tears, Alessa absentmindedly realized that her own fears were gone, only to be replaced by fear and worry for the boy before her. The one who had became her first friend in this large place.

"Jayce...?" she called out quietly, hoping to get a slight reaction, her voice quivering with obvious worries. After a moment of silence from him, she gave his shoulder a gentle shake, speaking a tad louder, hoping to snap him out of whatever trance he put himself in. "Jayce!"

Rema 'Silent Clown' Garrison

Location: Bottom of DWMA steps

Rema Garrison, who had stayed up late the night before, had slept through all of her alarm clocks and only awoke when the sounds of screaming could be heard from outside her window. She sat up and stretched, wondering what could be going on so early in the morning. She stood up, got dressed, brushed her hair and teeth, then headed out the door. What she saw terrified her.

There were people running around, screaming while others had seemed to go mad. There was also smoke raising into the air a distance away coming from multiple directions. This....this was insane! What had happened to this town while she slept in a little later than she was supposed to? She headed down her apartment steps and headed for the school, making sure she wasn't seen by anyone she may not know. She had yet to partner with a weapon and all she could do at the moment was to fight hand to hand. That wouldn't allow her to survive too long considering what was going on.

As she made her way to the school, she saw quite a few of her classmates outside, fighting with those who have gone mad. She debated on going over to them, but she would only get in there way the way she was now, so she continued for the school. She soon reached the bottom of the stairs leading up and saw Jessyka and Skylar. Maybe they would know what was going on?

"Jessyka! Skylar!" She yelled as she ran at them. Once she stopped, she took a minute to catch her breath before looking back up at them. "What's going on? I know I woke up late and all, but this is ridiculous!" She said with a giggle. "Mind filling me in?"

She huffed a little as she stood, looking to the student who introduced herself as Nicole. "Yeah, I know we're not 'experts' in fire containment. But somebody has to contain the fire, and the fire department is probably off 'spreading the word' or dealing with whoever else is running around like a madman in town." She ran a hand through her hair, wiping the sweat off of her brow. "I'm Deryn. The formal introductions can wait, right now we have a city to save."

Deryn walked over to Samuel and the little girl. "Alright crazy, no more spreading words for now." She pulled out her hair tie, and wrapped it around the girls mouth, gagging her. "I hate to do that to a kid, but something tells me this madness is audibly transmitted, so we can't risk her ranting infecting us. Can you hold her still, or do I need to start stripping to tie her up?" she laughed coldly. "Aren't you... Sam, right? That's your name?"

Before she could get an answer, she was distracted by Warren, who was tending to the young lady who was talking about seeing a demon. "I have no idea, but, something tells me this all has a source, and that this woman got closer than she should have. If the madness is spreading like I think it is...." She paused, letting the sentence go unfinished. This woman was probably going to descend into the ranting raving lunacy at any moment, but how could she explain that?

Aiko_Selmatu-Banner_zpsbqnor5qt.jpg

Location: On top of DMWA Steps... in a small pool of blood.

Aiko laid still, holding onto the Poleaxe sitting comfortably partially lodged in her chest. She looked rather uneasy looking at the wound briefly. Darn... my nice clothing... I'm only down to one spare... and its getting on my scarf too... I'm going to... have to give Axel and... Kezaih... a scolding about this... She thought to herself looking far from the greatest shape as the shocks of soul rejection kept her mostly pinned down when combined with the wound. As stubborn and difficult to put off of something as she might be, it wasn't enough to deal with her current situation. Her own arrogance combined with the risky move she had attempted to do made it in a large part her own fault she got struck. At the very least her plan seemed to work outside the fact her nice coat was getting stained. She could only hope whatever was going on inside the weapon, Erica was managing to gain control of her sister.

She looked up, watching as Keziah focused upon her. She shifted her foot as if to move. "Bring it on... you won't... catch me..." She spoke out very quietly as the maddened meister dashed swiftly towards her. Her words were but hallow as she tried to push off to move, finding her body barely able to dodge. Her words sent shivers down her spine. "I'll... show you... r... ros..." Her voice cut off after she tried to respond back as suddenly Keziah was struck. She watched 'manly' Axel strike into her and attempt to subdue her.

Aiko laughed very lightly, holding onto the blade as she cringed as the Soul Rejection continued to reverberate through her body. "Nnn... r... really th... that was your pl... plan... I c... could of taken her d... down easier m...myself..." She commented watching as the two brothers seemed to bark at one another. She simply sighed not wanting to say much more about it. It wasn't worth entangling herself in the middle of it, giving a bit of a displeased look upon her pained face.

She watched as Axel maddened meister was tossed away. Her eyes fixated on them as ultimately a swift strike to the head. A small sense of relief filled her just as she let out a gasp in response, getting shocked again. The sounds of others nearby filled her mind as she entered in some part a trance. She fixated back down at the poleaxe, holding tightly to it. "Come on Erica..." She spoke softly, only able to hope her partner would pull through fine.

The teenager’s eyes rose to meet Warren’s as he spoke to her. She nearly jumped at first, as though she hadn’t been expecting anyone to answer her - least of all a boy. “There was a demon on the computer,” she almost seemed to whisper it, as though talking about it out loud would make it more real than it already was. “It was a demon…. in the computer...” She seemed to be struggling with an explanation for whatever it was that she saw, but it was clear from her tone that it terrified her.

Lord Death, Nadia “Treble Clef” Voltaren and “Boring” Hiro Mitsaki

A Scolding…?

“Hey! HEY!” The oddly high sounding voice came from inside the DWMA and seemed to have come from the Grim Reaper Death himself as he once again emerged from the depths of Death Weapon Meister Academy. His glare immediately turned to the one he had left in charge - Professor Hiro Mitsaki. “Hiro, why are my students beating each other up?”

The teacher rolled his eyes at the obviousness of the question. Well, at least, to him it was obvious. It may not have been the same to the headmaster, however, Hiro didn’t really care to acknowledge that fact. “It’s a long story. Can we just leave it at that?”

The Musical Nurse

“NO!” Another voice followed Lord Death out of the school accompanied by its owner, Nadia Voltaren. Although she wasn’t technically on staff as of yet - her still being in training and all that other fun stuff - she midas well have been the school nurse for all intensive purposes. Everyone knew that Jamis planned to retire soon and everyone knew that Nadia would just fall into the empty spot. As she ran out, she quickly got down on one knee next to Keziah, checking for a pulse in the meister before determining that the girl was fairly stable albeit unconscious.

Satisfied that her first patient was going to be fine after spending some time in the infirmary, her eyes turned to examine the rest of the students who had gathered and her eyes fell on Aiko as the girl firmly grasped the long pole axe in her hands as it continually sent convulsions through her body. “Oh, my dear!” Nadia exclaimed, her voice coming out very musically as usual although it was in no way a happy song. Bending down next to the meister, Nadia began assessing the girl’s wounds right there, desperate to stop some of the bleeding as quickly as she could.“What happened, deary?” Nadia inquired as she pulled bandages from her bag. “You look like someone threw you in a blender and spit you back out… although… maybe that isn’t the best analogy.”

As Nadia bandaged some of the more significant cuts that Aiko had acquired, she noticed that the girl was convulsing in the process. “Sweetie, are you ok?” she dared to ask as her eyes fell upon the weapon in her hands, her eyes almost sensing the battle that occurred within its confines.

Too Much Work

Lord Death appeared to have been momentarily distracted by Nadia’s actions although his attention quickly returned to his former Death Scythe. “Hiro, I hope you’re up for this,” he prefaced, his voice suddenly quite serious. “While I haven’t tracked the source of the madness per say, we do have an interesting location to investigate. Specter Lab… I believe you’ve heard of the place.”

Hiro nodded.

“It appears there was a break in just a few days ago with no further report. It’s a bit too fishy for me to let slide,” Lord Death explained. “And we’ll also have to do something about the citizens as well… we can’t just let them run mad. I found something in an old book that mentions a cure to madness. Someone will have to investigate further.”

Hiro Mitsaki understood that only too well. When Lord Death said “someone” that someone was him and from the look on the professor’s face, he was not happy about it. Rolling his eyes once again, Hiro’s entire body slumped as he sighed, “I’ll gather up some students….” before he turned and walked off - going down the steps of the DWMA to the group that had gathered to help the citizens. “Warren! Deryn! Samuel! Nicole! Ryoma! Jessyka! Skyler! Rema! … Why are you all down here!? We’ve got a job to do and I really don’t want to say the same thing twice. Come on!” Hiro gestured for the students to follow him back up the steps as he realized that he had inadvertently created more work for himself because going up steps was work.

As he started to go up the steps, Hiro’s eyes fell on the girl frozen in terror and he wandered over and helped her to her feet, guiding her up the steps with him. “You’ll be safe here, ma’am,” he said. In some ways, Hiro did care.

An Explanation

With most of the students gathered in front of him, Lord Death’s eyes scanned the group. While it remained unclear what he was looking for, there were many and multiple possibilities. “Normally,” he began, “I wouldn’t throw this on any of you, especially some of the newer ones among you. However, we simply do not have time to wait for the right people to be here. Some of you,” his gaze flickered between the three star meisters, “are more than capable and you’ll be helping the others along. We have two jobs. One group will go to Specter Lab and investigate. We’re looking for something that could be causing this. Nadia will be leading you.”

“What?” Nadia’s voice interjected. “No. I have patients to take care of. I’m staying here!” Her eyes flickered to the patient right in front of her, desperately hoping the girl didn’t intend to try and follow the groups.

Lord Death sighed but did not comment further for the time being. He didn’t wait for any further objections before continuing. “The second group will be lead by Hiro and you will be going outside the city. Within the mountains, there is a cave that may hold a resolution to the infection of madness. Your job is to investigate. Any questions?”

You are all being broken up into two separate task forces. One will go to Specter Lab (a computer lab) and the other will go investigate a cave in the mountains. The groups are as such:

Leader: Unknown at this time

Malakai and Isaac, Eden and Maxwell, Jessyka and Skyler, Daemon and Zyra, Kamryn and Thalia, Deryn and Samuel, Jayce and Alessa, Rema, Aiko (if she chooses to continue on)

Leader: Hiro Mitsaki

Ivy and Demetri, Hotaru and Ren, Rita and Warren, Nicole and Ryoma, Honey and Igor, Sprite and Mac, Undine and Aoi, Kassana and Vanille

If you would like to switch groups with someone, the groups can be open for discussion at this point. There are a few people locked into place although I would rather not list all the locked people and the reasons for them being locked unless it comes up as a question of switching.

Miyako and Hiro

Making her way through the city was hell. She danced around any fallen debris and any bodies lying in the street as she hurriedly made her way back to the DWMA. With narrowed eyes, she gained a burst of speed as spotted the large building of her beloved school.

Dashing up the stairs, her red kimono sleeves billowing around her arms, Miyako let out a breath of relief at the sight of her students and partner alongside Lord Death.

“Hiro,” she called, alerting him to her presence, as she walked calmly up the last few steps.

Hiro’s eyes quickly turned to fall upon the woman walking up the steps and he seemed to let out the largest sigh of relief at the sight of her. “Where have you been?!” Hiro whined. “Do you have any idea how terrible of an idea it was to leave me in charge of the class on this day in particular? Look at the city!” His arms swung wide, gesturing to the chaos that ran wild in the streets.

Suddenly gaining a twitch in her right eye, Miyako finished her walk towards her partner before reaching up and slapping him in the back of the head. “Idiot.” she muttered under her breath before turning to face him properly, her arms crossed over her chest.

“Lord Death sent me out last night to take care of a small disturbance. I left you a note in your apartment telling you’d I’d be gone. I also reminded you that Lord Death would be stopping in during class today, like you asked me to.” she told him bluntly.

She sighed, running a hand through her long hair. “Now,” she started. “What exactly did happen in the city?”

“Um…” Hiro was a bit lost for words as his hand went to the back of his head, rubbing it and acting as though it actually hurt. “I don’t honestly know. Keziah went… mad? I think? Grace killed the NOT instructor, a madman was screaming ‘Spread the Word’, the city was on fire, the students were everywhere and I had to go find them, Igor and Ivy decided it would be fun to fight on the stairs… Overall, way too much work.”

Taking a deep breath, Miyako forced herself to remain calm. It was now becoming painfully obvious that she could not leave the class on it’s own anymore. Not with Hiro around. Because obviously, things seem to go to hell when she’s not there. Clenching and unclenching her fists a few times, she centered herself before responding.

“A teacher…” she forced out from behind gritted teeth. “A teacher was killed…and you’re complaining about your work load?!” she screamed, lunging at her partner. Crossing the short distance in moments, she quickly reached out and slapped him behind the head once more, actually putting force into her action. She wanted the idiot to feel pain this time.

“Ow!” Hiro yelped. “That one actually hurt!” Hiro stared at Miyako almost like a child who didn’t know why he was being punished.

“It’s supposed to you, you lazy ass fool!” she growled back, glaring at him. “Now,” she declared, getting back on topic. “The city can be fixed, are all the students here and accounted for? And have we started to put a plan in motion?”

“Students?!” Hiro seemed to take a minute to realize what she was talking about, but it only took a moment before a spark popped into his eyes. “Oh, yes, I should count them, shouldn’t I?” Turning around, Hiro quickly counted the students who were listening to Lord Death, leaning awkwardly and walking around a bit to make sure he wasn’t missing anyone in the crowd before he turned back to face his meister, his face looking slightly terrified. “Please don’t hit me again. It seems we are missing two.... um… Ren? You didn’t happen to see him and Hotaru on your way in did you?”

“You WHAT?!” she screamed, ready to pull her hair out. “How could you…! Ugh, forget it!” she raged. “Here’s how things will turn out now that I’m here. We are going to come up with a plan to move forward to fix this mess! Then I will go and find our two missing students.” she declared. “Because obviously I cannot count on you to even keep track of all our students!”

Hiro’s entire body slumped. Part of him wished that Miyako had been here during the chaos. He knew none of the terrible things that had happened would have happened if she had been there, but there was nothing do about it now other than accept the reality that he had failed as a teacher and as a death scythe. “I think there is a plan, but I don’t remember the details. You’re probably better off hitting me in the head again and going to talk to Lord Death.”

Sighing, Miyako worked to stave off her frustration with her partner. She cared for him, they were partners and had been for years, but sometimes she wanted to strangle him. “Don’t worry, I won’t hit you again.” she told him. “You need all the brain cells you have left.” she teased with a small reassuring grin, before heading towards the group of students and Lord Death.

“Lord Death,” she greeted.

“Ah,” Lord Death seemed almost delighted to see her. Given the current situation, true delight was highly unlikely and Death was about as close as one could get. “Professor Miyako! Welcome back. Normally, I would ask how the job went, but as you can surely see, we have a bit of a situation. I need you to lead a group of students to Specter Lab. I don’t know what you’re looking for, but you should know it when you find it.” If Lord Death had eyebrows, he would’ve raised them as a question to his staff member, trying to determine that she understood. However, that wasn’t quite possible which just left him staring at the meister.

“Yes of course, I understand.” she replied with a small nod. “Do we have teams already in mind?” she asked.

Lord Death’s eyes turned to the collection of students gathered in front of him as his eyes began selecting a small group of them. “Why don’t you take Malacai, Isaac, Eden, Maxwell, Jessyka, Skyler, Daemon, Zyra, Kamryn, Thalia, Deryn, Samuel, Jayce, Alessa and Rema? That should about cut them in half which should give Hiro enough for a group as well.” Lord Death turned back to Miyako. “Does that sound fair?”

“Yes, alright.” she agreed. “That sounds perfectly fine with me. Before that though, I advise that everyone gathers up what they need to head out immediately. That way I can go find the two missing students.”

“Fair,” Lord Death agreed before turning and calling out to the group assembled in front of him. “Students, we are going to split you into two groups. Gather your supplies, calm yourselves, and Hiro and Miyako will lead you off when you are ready to go!”

Everyone is required to make one post following Lord Death’s instructions before ending your posts by reporting back to your assigned team leader. Again the groups are as such:

Leader: Miyako Hoshimura

Malakai and Isaac, Aiko and Erica, Jessyka and Skyler, Daemon and Zyra, Kamryn and Thalia, Deryn and Arthur, Jayce and Alessa, Rema and Ikeda

Leader: Hiro Mitsaki

Ivy and Demetri, Hotaru and Ren, Rita and Warren, Nicole and Ryoma, Honey and Igor, Sprite and Mac, Undine and Aoi, Kassana and Aeryn

If you would like to switch groups with someone, the groups can be open for discussion at this point. There are a few people locked into place although I would rather not list all the locked people and the reasons for them being locked unless it comes up as a question of switching.

Annoyed

Eden had remained where he stood ever since he and Axel knocked out Keziah. This was all a colossal waste of time to him. "This could've been a class with the Shinigami teaching, for god's sake..." He plopped down, now squatted next to Kezah's body. A reluctant little smirk was on his face. They sure got her good. Her glanced up at his brother who had lit a cigarette. A disapproving scoff sound escaped him, but he couldn't deny that the the two were a preeetty good team. Standing back up, he stretched himself, arching his back, before letting his hands sink back into his pockets. "We're so not gonna get anything today, aren't we?" he wondered out loud, before Hiro and Lord Death demanded everyone's attention with a new assignment.

For a moment, nothing but intense silence laid over Eden, before he burst out laughing. Actually bending over forwards and holding onto his midsection, he wiped away a tear after a while, still giggling. He was sure some strange looks were shot into his direction, but he didn't mind. "Ahaha... s-sorry, I'm good, I just... kehehe..." He still giggled, then gave a serious attempt at shutting up. Given the madness around them, his manical laughter surely seemed like a tasteless joke. In all reality, Eden was just cheerful. The idiots from earlier, Ivy and whatshisname were paired with Hiro. The thought of incompetence and idiocy being lumped into one group made his heart jump, though he was also relieved that he wouldn't have to work with them for the foreseeable future. Catching himself giggling again, he cleared his throat and calmed down. "Alright then, I'm good to go, let's put this crap to rest."

Rema followed Professor Hiro up the stairs to see Lord Death. This...this was serious. She took a breath while she listened to Lord Death's instructions. She was going to the Specter Lab with a few others. She didn't have a weapon as of yet, but she would be fine. She could still demolish a few bad souls.

She closed her eyes and took another breath. She had to focus on what she had to do. Find anything strange or peculiar at the Lab to see if anything strange was going on. Make sure to follow Professor Miyako. Don't die. Well, that last one was obvious, but it had to be thought out. They were still students after all. She a new one at that. There also seemed to be no one that knew what exactly was going on. That could be bad depending on how bad the situation gets.

Rema opened her eyes once she was calm and focused. The look in her eyes changed from happy and mischievous to serious ans focused. This was considered a mission, an assignment, and she was going to treat it as such. She looked at Professor Miyako and nodded her head. "I'm ready to leave Professor Miyako." She said, her voice rather quiet to how loud it usually was.
