No it was not random, it was the little lord Takahiro supported, yes it was THAT civil war. I'm not trying to infringe on anything of yours it was just a low key thing. First reason was to let you know I actually read through your bio and cs, fellow roleplayers usually only read their own or ones they use as a basis, it's neat by the way I liked how his father in law's death sparked a war. Second reason for the mention was to spike interest in all those conspiracy theorists out there, Dula is like the Japanese Illuminati, always behind everything . If you need me to cut that part out I can, if not, you can use that bit to partially recognize Dula, for he doesn't change outfits unless out of necessity.

Your not infringing. I was just wondering who he was watching over. I might have Takahiro recognize Dula but it will probably be like "hey haven't I seen you before." Also that thirteen year old boy is going to be a character one I finish his CS tomorrow morning. That could lead to some fun interactions.

That's gonna be totally awesome. Should Dula and the boy know eachother, I'd expect the civil war lasted a couple months at the very least so they'd have time to become friends.

So I am thinking of playing a female character who is a witch, she's very ambitious and wants to assume power so she'd throw her allegiance to a powerful up and coming clan that's aiming for shogun or perhaps even higher

Ah... perhaps I shouldn't have set the standard for addressing conventions... Normally we would be addressing each other by our clan names, as we are the leaders of our respective clans. So it would be Lord Komori, Lady Fujimoto, and Lord Mibu. I was hoping you would catch that, but since we're this far already, we can play it off as a way to delineate each other in our respective clans.

I don't know much about medival japanese naming conventions but I thought that with females it was always Lady and then their first name as they didn't really use there clan names.

True, but I believe there is a case to be made for females who hold land and wield power. Well in any case, my character wouldn't be too particular about those things, in fact she would see it as a playful response to her relaxed mannerism, that or perhaps still out of habit since she recently came to power. I'm just worried that I might've set a misleading trend.

This RP isn't exactly realistic so I think any convention we can agree on as being acceptable is ok.
