Fantasy Sengoku Jidai: Samurai RP OOC

Hey! So, this here RP is still on-going, but just a bit slow? Okay, okay... Would you be able to give me a light recap as to what all is going on IC? I'm interested as well! What is the current objective within the RP right now? Do you have a map laid out for the carry-out of the plot?

Well, in summary this is a story loosely based on Japanese history where the emperor and Shogun are fighting a civil war. Our characters are lords on either side of said conflict, though fighting primarily for a number of personal reasons.

In story The 2 forces just clashed in a battle at a place called Fukashi Castle and the Shogunate lost pretty hard, but not before managing to kill lord Fuka (The ruler of said castle.) The Shogunate forces have since retreated back to their land, namely Mito Castle, home of the Katagami and are just sort of dicking around at the moment

The Imperial forces are mainly just sitting at Fuka castle and licking their comparatively minor wounds and discussing things.

We're sort of in a holding pattern mainly due to me waiting on a response but in theory we're about to do a timeskip where everyone will detail what their clans have been up to for a few months before we start the next battle.

Alright. If we're all done with conversations I think we're good for the timeskip. I'm thinking around 7 months forward which will put us in April of 1561.

We can either have everyone post individually what they're clans were up to in the meantime or you can all just post here what you want them to do and I'll put it all up in one mega post.

Hmm I think I'll have the Otomo and confederates march on the Chosokabe and eradicate them divvying up their lands.

Hey, Politics and romance are good by me. She'll have to work fast though, Katagami himself just proposed a possible marriage to one of his other retainers.

Just for the record, how obvious is it that Mizuaki is a girl? As it stands I've been writing under the assumption that Hanazawa is an idiot and genuinely can't tell that Shugachi is a guy and Mizuaki is a girl. He's not calling them Bro and Sis as insults (at least not intentionally) that's just how he talks.

Like if someone knew them they'd know otherwise it's near impossible. I kinda figured but the deal with Shugachi and Mizuaki is they just assume people can tell and when they get mistaken either take it as an insult or feel like failures.

The marriage will be most likely one of strategic value, for Nishijima a promise that her clan will be immortalised should Katagami come up on top, and for Katagami a formidable archer's force at his back.

As of now, Sayuri has no intentions of romance, but will act the loyal wife as a face. What he does, whomever else he takes as a lover is none of her concern. After all is said and done, all she will be is an ally of considerable loyalty, should it be successful.

To allow the clans the ability to make some major movements that don't directly involve all of the other players. The time scale and is meant to be rather big over all so we'll mainly be focusing in on big important moments, major battles, character moments etc. while summarizing the downtime between them in singular posts.

Though if your asking why 7 specifically, it was a split between 3 and 7 and I ultimately decided that given the time period it wouldn't make sense for an army to launch a major offensive in the dead of winter.
