The Ajax can hit Mach speed to fly away, so both Gabi and Ryuko should be good. The Spartas' have a running speed of 70 mph, and in transport mode we can hit 100 mph.

What I mean to say is, the propellers only impact one of 3 forms of flight capable operation. Based on what I see of the design at any rate. Everything else looks more like jet engines.

Gabi typically uses the hover jets and flies, not just for the speed, but for the automatic dodge benefit. She is doing so now.

An explosion that big. Tunnel debris is but dust. If the explosion is underground, it's goingto build up a lot of pressure, youd have a shockwave, fire, and an earth tidal wave to deal with. And couldn't even find cover from it unless we were out of the crater radius.

If it's from the remains of the ship. Then youd have a major shockwave and farther reaching shrapnel from the starship metal.
