Whelp... guess I get to sit out for a couple days of posting while you guys fight, Trent will just be behind in xp and levels

If this is a bait to let most of the squad leave, it certainly worked. I can almost hear Sherwood Sherwood 's laughter from here... save us, Trent!

I doubt that you'll have to worry about levels and the like, Dano Dano - the possible lack of interaction is more of a concern for me personally, but my version where I'd stay back felt like it'd lead me to a place where I didn't want to go character-wise.

What Pips said. Plus we're talking about demons here. At the risk of sounding dramatic, either my character does something about it or I stop playing the character.

I'm willing to gamble that almost every character on the boat has something that would pull them away from the main quest temporarily; a side quest, if you will, that is so important to them, that they would not be themselves if they ignored it.

For virtually any Undead Slayer, that is supernatural evil. Sherwood, naturally, is aware of this.

Now here is where I have to disagree respectfully with Silanon. I don't think Sherwood is thinking along those lines. Sherwood has been playing Rifts far too long not to know what he's got in the party. It's like having a Pokemon Catcher in your team and you sail past a bunch of Pokemon. What do you think that character is going to do?

As for XP, while I don't imagine Trent will gain any extra XP for decisions made, I do believe he should gain bonus XP for being played so well in character! I (not Gradicus) imagine Trent to be Unprincipled in alignment (Dano, correct me if I'm wrong, please?). As such, Trent is supposed to do as he damn well pleases. That's what Unprincipled characters do!

No one is holding a gun to Trent's head and forcing him to stay behind. But, like Gradicus, how can Trent remain Trent if he does otherwise?

In my experience, this is the problem of playing parties with mixed alignments. Evil characters in a party screw each other and have no friends. Selfish characters may or may not screw their party, and may or may not have friends (though sometimes, some hidden part of them desires at least one friend). Good-aligned characters usually do not screw their party (at least not intentionally) and usually have at least a few friends.

But most troublesome is that this tends to cause friction between players. Here is Dano, a fine roleplayer and decent guy, having to sit this one out because of his character's alignment. That's no good!

As things are now, this might be the first time of many that this takes place. I don't like that. I want everyone to have fun. Sure, I can advise solutions, but I feel like I take up enough of everyone's time with my hyperactivity-fueled lengthy posts!

Have a good day everybody! =)

Epiphany Epiphany Hey, Pips? Doesn't Kimberly have, like, at least a +8 to Initiative (+7 from hearing and radar bonuses, +1 from Gui Long Gung Fu)?

She does have a nice combination of bonuses (the math is all in her sheet). In this case, she rolled a 13 and has a +13 so the total is 26. If there's a way of adding a static number to the random number that's rolled on RpNation's dice roller, I don't know what it is.

Ah! I missed the (+13) in there. Pardon! I just wanted to make certain you weren't... well, you know. =)

And lucky Kimberly! Gradicus has a +1 or something like that. =)

EDIT: Hah! He's dead-last! =)

Sherwood Sherwood I'll ask these questions now as to not hold up the game when my turn comes.
1. What do the villagers look like and are they reacting to the demons in a fashion different than one would expect (casting spells, not freaking out at the sight of demonic invaders, etc.?)
2. From what Gradicus can tell from the air, is it more beneficial for the villagers for him to engage the demons or to get the villagers away from them?
3. Gradicus has W.P. Energy Rifle. Does he recognize the weapon the Brodkil is using?

Sherwood Sherwood I somehow couldn't find how exactly tw ppe batteries work - how do I recharge them? Can I simply transfer my own ppe to refill that thing, or is it more complicated? And how long does it actually take to recharge them, is there a limit like "10 ppe per hour at most"? Just asking because I'll certainly use some of the abilities on the armor, and the battery is slowly running dry...

1. Most of the townspeople you can see are running scared away from the burning building and the weapon fire outside of town from the two horsemen and the powered armor that is currently attacking the demons out there. Amidst some of the bodies of the casualties you can see are some people that have tried to arm themselves and fight back but all that they have done is gotten killed first. Perhaps they were trying to buy some time for the others to escape?
2. With as tough as the demons are, it would probably be best to fight the demons in the town since the residents are all bolting with a quickness.
3. The weapon is a heavy plasma ejector of some sort, exact make and model is unknown.

In this case, I am going to say that any practitioner of magic can recharge the battery at the rate of 10 PPE per hour from your personal energy supply.

Just to clarify, my MA style includes an automatic parry option. That lets me parry without using up an attack, right? Or are the combat moves not being utilized unless playing a Ninjas and Superspies OCC?

hey guys sorry for dipping out over the weekend, i was working on my senior project. No one showed up though so it was basically a waste of time. Hope your weekends went better.

No worries - given your initiative roll, you're basically just in time, right?

Sorry to hear that things didn't work out - my weekend was certainly better than that, used the wind here to do a bit of kite flying; didn't do that for more than three years; totally worth freezing to death.

That parry of yours does not use an action.

Whatever your political party affiliation, make sure you get out and vote tomorrow in the U.S. midterm elections. Perform your civic right and let your voice be heard!

Lol well, once you hit the legal voting age for your state, make sure you vote.

As someone not from the US, I would have a hard time doing that - first time I'm actually hearing about those midterm elections, though. Can't agree more, though, every vote makes a difference - if only to show that you care.

and sherwood. thanks for sending me that pdf, its really cool and very useful. thanks ill make sure to use some of the information, that's in it.

Ok, I'll give you a pass since you are not a U.S. citizen. Lol

i would like to elaborate on the reason why my roll for weather i hit or not has two dice, just in case anyone is confused. i did that becuase one die represents one drone and the other die represents the other drone. 2 drones = 2 dice
