Good to know, but the dodge roll was a 17 before any bonuses. Shaona is now up towards the top of the initiative order, but you are still down one attack from failing your Horror Factor check.

On a side note, I relooked at the Battle Fury blade and was reminded that 40 PPE buys the wielder a free 100 MDC shield, a damage upgrade from 6D6 to 1D6x10 and every attack made gets a second free attack at -5 to parry. That last bit is too much, even for me. Mind if I keep the first two properties and maybe get the -5 to parry (and ditch the bonus attack)?

That will be acceptable.
 
It's one of three or four swords commonly used by Mystic Knights of the Order of the White Rose. Yay for Rifts power creep across each worldbook (and Madhaven is Worldbook 29 so very late in the series).

Between the OCC and playing an Altarian, I'll continue doing my best not to let the character mechanics or her build get overwhelming. It took pulling out all of her OCC Related physical skills to bring her baseline down to Dannigan's Atlantean. I love Rifts for many reasons but good balance between OCCs and RCCs has never been one of its virtues.

Appreciate you indulging me, Sherwood, and continue to talk to me if any aspect of the character, her build or how I'm playing her poses an issue for your game.
 
Keeping things "well balanced" is quite hard in Rifts. My hat is off to Sherwood for giving this a go.

I could clearly see the imbalance when i wanted to be the fire and brimstone preacher.... not many abilities built in... lol (I still think it would be super fun to play)

lol it was more of a jest... You always seem to be asking something in OOC about books, gear, conspiring with others... you know... normal stuff lol

Ho ho! YEAH BUDDY! Natural 20 on the Strike Roll! I hope to heck he doesn't roll one of his own on defense!
 
Yeah! But I think Gradicus and I are going to feel totally robbed (not really) if he somehow rolls a Natural 20 to parry (or whatever he's doing for defense). That's very nearly Gradicus's best possible damage! I even rolled max damage on his katana!

EDIT: Of course, if that's what happens, well, who am I to cry foul? =)

Well, the parry roll was just a little under a 20 (only rolled a 12), so you now have enough dragon hide to make your boots.
 
Also, for those that might not know, any time you get a critical strike, the damage roll results are doubled, making it possible to roll very low and do less damage than a high roll of a standard hit.
 
You mean Gradicus scored a Critical Strike?! That's 164 M.D.! All right! 8D

(Because Stephen Colbert and Kermit the Frog are both crazy people!) =)
 
Yeah! And Terra's automaton's big gun does way more damage (2D6x10 M.D.) than anything my character can dish out (besides this crit)! That blows me away! Tell you what - I'm going to bed happy tonight (that's the power of roleplaying)! 8D
