Historical Description:
The Knights of the Northern Kingdoms are a symbol of status and power for a Kingdom. While they do not make up the majority of a kingdoms military, they are the most powerful branch of it. Training can begin even in the early years of adolescence. Comparing normal soldiers and militia. who receive only about 1 years worth of formal training, Knight-to-be can have up to 10 years of education. Because of such intense training they are able to take leadership roles and command large groups of soldiers.The Majority of knights are individuals who possess the ability to use Spirit Energy.
Entry Requirements:
- Squires can be accepted as young as 12 and as old as 18.
- A formal children's education is required.
- A large sum of money


Hierarchical Structure:
Squires --> Knights-->Captains-->Trian Knights

Squires: Upon entering formal training as a Knight, one is referred to as a Squire.

Knights:
After 3 years of successful training at an Academy, Squires graduate as Knights able to command small numbers of localized militia and other squires.

Captains:
Following another 4-6 years as a Knight and learning at an Academy, Captains can be chosen to lead other Knights into battle.

Trian Knights:
A title reserved for the 3 Greatest Knights in a Kingdom. They are also bestowed the some of the strongest Armors on Elegos, forged by the magnificent craftsmanship of the Dwarves.



Other: The Trian Knights
Every Kingdom for the last 1000 years has had individuals who formed The Knights Trinity or Trian Knights. This group is composed of the First, Second and Third strongest knights in the Kingdom. As such they wear the Gold, Silver and Bronze armors respectively. Although one of the very few Elite Warriors of Elegos to wear full body armor, the Knights Trinity armors have special properties forged into them by master smiths, alchemists and Arte Creators.

Historical Description:
This group of individuals are each from a different part of the World. Their connection to each other transcends the division of the 4 lands in which they lead an exemplary way of life in hopes the people of their respective Lands may follow. Life as a Swordmaster is a lifetime commitment and some myths say the Sword enables even an elderly user to wield it as if they were young.

The Swords
The Four Swords of Elegos, as legend calls them, are Sacred Blades forged by the Legendary Celestial Guardians, and empowered with the Will of the World. They are without a doubt the most powerful Weapons in the World. Some speculate that if the legend of the Swords Blessing by Elegos is true, the Swords themselves are alive in some way. This goes in hand with other legends speaking of the Swords as choosing its next wielder, and that none other than the chosens can even lift the blades.

Historical Description:
Close to 2000 years ago, a great Island nation, the Kingdom of Tyre was decimated by invading forces of the Western Empire. From there they launched their campaign of conquest of the remaining free Kingdoms of the North and conquest of the Eastern Union. However before they could do more damage and destroy the balance in the world, The Four Sword Masters of Elegos stepped in and halted their near unstoppable conquest. Thus concluded this war between the 4 lands.

The Great divide was established between the Empire and the Republic, Magdalen Island Country remained in the possession of the Empire and became known as Lhasa Province, and Tyre Island Country was abandoned to both the Kingdoms and the Empire. So complete was the devastation upon that Land that no one dare return to it. It was then that a miracle took place.

It is said Five individuals walked along it's shores, across its land and climbed its mountains. As they did life returned to it, until it's re-invigoration was completed allowing for creatures and plant-life to flourish. This event was only downplayed by the fact that those responsible for this were members of the great Races of old.

The Great Races of Old were the Guardians and Keepers of the World of Elegos before and during the Great War against the Spirit Forces of Heaven and Hell. There numbers dwindled greatly throughout the course of that great war until its End. These Keepers had decided that after the war, they would cut off their ties to the Humans of Elegos for reasons of their own. One belief is held that they believed Humankind was ready to lead the World to prosperity, but none can say for certain.

The Five, each from a different Keeper Race, claimed Tyre as their own, and thus this land became the final means of contact with the great ones of lore. They soon after founded the Gideon Academy and became the Master Instructors headed by the HeadMaster of this school. Warriors of all sorts were welcomed to this school to train and hone their skills, learn from the masters of the elements and lead a life that superseded their individual differences.

Historical Description:

Centuries ago, during the Western Empires global conquest, their domain had reached the archipelagos of the Eastern Union. Having conquered territory in the other two lands the secluded Island Union was their final frontier. The Fall of Magdalen Island, the largest island that was part of the Union, led to it becoming the Empires Lhasa Province. However unbeknownst to them, AsaKaze Hidden Shinobi village was situated there. And for centuries has remained there. The Village now numbers into the thousands and continues its prosperity through the contracting of Shinobi for missions around the World. Despite violent actions from the Empire, they continue to be a thorn in their side.

People of various disciplines and levels join the mercenary group. Basic training and field preparation for new members is given.
Historical Description:

The Norhad Swords were founded in 992 C.Y.A.D. by Antarah Genzah former Commander of the Way. Under the backing of the Honorable Milestone Family he was given a castle to fortify and patrol the out edges of the Kingdom. The remote area was far from the Capital and other major areas that it was neglected. However with the slow progress over the years by the Kingdom of Lanark, Welwyn and Maxwell could no longer afford any chances. By offering protection to business caravans of the smaller villages of the area, he was able to gain much support from the locals. 5 years have passed since then, and now the Mercenary group is so famed and skilled that the Kingdoms Affairs Office will delegate Priority Requests to them in order for the military to concentrate on more important issues such as the Blood Wars.

Historical Overview:
Overview: The Keeper Society is based upon the Worship and Reverence of Elegos' 5 Keeper Races, so named because legend says they existed before the arrival of Humankind and have cared for the planet for centuries. The Society is broken up into Five Factions, each of which represents a Keeper Race. Each of the 4 Land Domains has their centers of worship known Society Churches.

Also known by the title The Holy Alliance, this Faction represents the Worship of the Keepers of the Holyland. Little is known about the Keepers themselves, infinitely more fables and legends than actual fact. These Keepers were said to be the progenitors of the human race as legends say humankind was created in their likeness. It is said that they glowed with a soft light, that they were masters of Light and Dark elements and that their Home was The Ethereal HolyLand ( The Center Circle of the World Map ) They were thought to be the Leaders of all the other Keepers.

Entry Requirements:
From Birth: If one is born into a family with parents who are members, the church will count any children as members as well and they shall receive the full benefits that come with being a member. This is the most common method of joining.

Conversion: Any adult not already a member can join under the following conditions:
- Cannot have another faith
- Cannot be a former Wayist or Associatator
- Must be passed the Age Beyond the Score ( 20 years or older )

Desertion: There is only 1 condition to leaving the Church willingly. It is to move away from ones Place of Rebirth ( That is the place one became a member ) and to never return under penalty of Death.

Expulsion: Expelled members seem to never be heard of again.


Hierarchical Structure:
The 3 Grand Cardinals:
They oversee all that is within the Holy Alliance. Each Cardinal is leader of a Grand Cathedral. The Arch Grand Cathedral located in Selkirk is the location of convergence for the three.

ArchDiocese: Oversees Bishops and Deacons and manages the Trinity Order. They are mainly found in the Grand Cathedrals. They also oversee Regional Sectors and have Several Deacons under them

Deacon: Deacons are overseers of indoctrination, and head of Churches

Trinity Order: An order of devout individuals who have dedicated their lives to the pursuit of one of the following Areas

Clerics: Healers and creators of medicines and alike
Templars: Protectors of Worship Centers and prominent Figures
Paladins: Specialized Knights trained to help others.

    LifeSpan: 1000 years

    History: After the departure of the Great Races from the World of Elegos, the Elves continued to live among Humans in the open for hundreds of years. Out of all the Guardian Clans they were the most like humans and so were easy to get along with. However centuries passed and large scale wars were fought between human factions. Eventually allies such as the Elves were swept up into the fray and were even put against their fellow kinsman in some battles. In the year 3691 CYBD the Elves formally create The Pact of Segregation with humans to segregate themselves.


    Physical Appearance
    Hair: Commonly Long. Many times tied in a certain Fashion
    Eyes: Sharper shaped with more intensely colored iris'.
    Skin: Always Fair and light, which becomes even more so in the light.

    Common Traits
    Calm Demeanor: In their speech, gestures and actions everything is shown to be relaxed and calm
    Hidden Emotion: For most, Strong emotions such as Love and Hate, Envy and Joy are more subtlety shown than compared to humans.
    Learned and Wise: For a long time now the elves have isolated themselves from the world and therefore have devoted much time to learning and studying
    Peaceful lifestyles: They avoid conflict by any means necessary.

    Race Name: Mermaids
    Title: Guardians of the Seas
    LifeSpan: 200 years

    History: Mermaids along with Water Sprites have been in charge of cleansing the waters of the World after the Great War. After centuries, of hard work, they were finally able to enjoy the Oceans of the World once again. Contact with humans was seldom as Humans had not developed large vessels for trade and travel among the lands, and Mermaids were not given the magic ability to walk on land. Around the time the Pact of Segregation was formed, the Elves had given this arte of transformation to the Mermaids. In doing so they would be able to hide in plain sight and observe humans. Over the counsel of the Elves, some had even made lives for themselves with the land dwellers. They were content to hide their true nature to appease their curiosity.


    Physical Appearance
    - The Upper Torso is human-like in nature, specifically the female body's
    - The lower half is a large tail with Fin-like elements near the end of it.
    - The area around the ears is also fin-like in appearance.
    - Their appearance is exquisitely alluring to all.

    Common Traits
    - They easily breath the air as they do in their natural water habitat.
    - This Guardian Clan is composed of ALL females.
    - As with the Ferus, the Elves have also developed artes to make Mermaids appear Human
    - Most Mermaids live in the wide open oceans in small groups, those who live in lakes and such are considered hermits and live by themselves.
    - The Voice of the Mermaid can resound the greatest melodies, attract anyone's attention and melt the coldest of hearts

Historical Overview:

Overview: The Church of Unification is a large Union of Centers of Worship within the Keeper Society. The Church of Unification exists only within the Eastern Union where many beliefs differ from that of other places in the World where the Keeper Society exists. However it is still a part of the Keepers Society and frequents other factions such as the Holy Alliance, the Sons of Salvation etc. The Church is founded on the idea of Unifying the Races of Elegos, the Figure of the Savior, and the Journey of unification.

The Guardian Clans of the World play a large part in the Church of Unification. As the original races that worked alongside the Keepers before Humankind existed, many of the sacred teachings and doctrines were derived from their interactions with the Keepers firsthand. As such, the Eastern Union is the only official land where Guardian Clan members are able to live among humans. Centuries before, the Pact of Segregation was formed to separate the Guardians and Humans.

Entry Requirements:
Birth: Known as the Age of Genesis. Being born into a family of believers automatically grants a person the opportunity of membership
Age 10: Known as the Age of Inclusion. This is the age when a person will start indoctrination.
Age 20: Known as the Age of Dedication. This determines whether a person will continue a life that is solely dedicated to the Church or choose a simple life of worship.
Age 25: Known as the Age of Excursion. When one accepts to undergo the Age or Dedication, they are trained and indoctrinated further for the following 5 years. When training is completed the Age of Excursion begins with the person being sent to their assignment.
Death: Known as the Age of Unity.

    Title: Guardians of the Atmosphere
    LifeSpan: 25 years commonly males. Females 100 years

    History:
    During the Great War, the vast numbers in the Thaan Army were only enough to prevent even greater losses due to the sky supremacy of the Angels and Demons. Legends speak that after the Great War, the corpses of the dead were collected together so that the Thaan could fly them away from the World into the stars adding to the Hadiyah's Ring. Because of their numbers, the Thaan helped in the rebuilding of homes for humans, and thus have been remembered in legend and song as tireless builders. Although they are not seen as readily presently, they have been speculated to be living in colonies atop the high floating islands of Elegos, and some even believe that they have a home among the stars.



    Physical Appearance
    - Humanoid body with insect aspects added to it such as the eyes, compound Eyes, Antannae, wings etc.
    - Their exo-skeletel structure is said to be tougher than bedrock

    Common Traits
    - When speaking their voices sound like they are vibrating
    - It is a matriarchal society, though 90% are males
    - They have developed the ability to cloak their physical presence from others.
    - They live in the highest most remote places.
    - Their physical strength and stamina far exceed any other creature.
    - Among the Guardian Clans, they are the most numerous in population.

    Title: Guardians of the Caverns
    LifeSpan: 150 years

    History:
    During the Great War, it was the ingenuity and endurance of the Dwarves that allowed nearly any creature on Elegos capable of wielding a weapon or carrying armor to have it. Afterwards, they helped in the rebuilding process and dedicated their newfound peace to perfecting technique and searching for gems and minerals for other purposes. Though existence of Dwarves has never been in doubt nor become myth, they still hideaway from humans. Most live underground. However, magnificent weapons and armor appear out of nowhere at different times, suggesting there are some hermits still clinging to the surface and working for pay.


    Physical Appearance
    - Much shorter than the average human
    - Facial Hair, lots of it, and very bushy.

    Common Traits
    - They are great forgers of any metal.
    - Capable of distinguishing minerals
    - Emotional extremes, from short-tempered to overly amicable.

HalfLings of Elegos
HALFLING PICTURES

The Halflings of Elegos are the forgotten race of the World. For centuries after the Great War, When the Keepers vanished from this world and the Guardians and Humans lived together for a time, there was born between the unison of these peoples, the race known as the Halflings. For a Era, this was the normality. However as humans began to war against each other more and more, dragging the Guardians into their conflicts, the Elves, representing the Guardian Clans, formed what is now called the Pact of Segregation. This Pact, mostly adhered to by the Guardians, serve to distance them away from the Human population and their destructive nature. While it was originally started by the Elves, the other clans soon joined this Pact out of necessity, others saw no need to join as their nature or environment, meant they had limited contact with the human world in the first place.

In the early years, this had created strife and animosity between the races, and those caught in the middle, were the Halflings, children born of mixed race from humans and guardians, and their parents. Once they had found a home within each others peoples, now, they were outcasts. It was in this time they began to form the Gemini Society. The Society comprised of Halflings, their parents, and moderates from all races who shared in their views of tolerance and inclusion. Today, they live in secret, hidden away from the societies of humans and claners alike.

    History:
    In the past, Half-Elves were the most common of Halflings after the Great War. Most notably, relationships were between Human Men and Elven Women. There were usually 7 female half-elves to 1 male half-elf. After the Pact of Segregation was put in place, Half-elves were no longer welcome in human towns or elven colonies. Because of this, many were forced to find settlements elsewhere. Their parents, full-bloods and other moderates were welcome to join them in these small secluded towns.

    Human Wars and other atrocities brought about by human made it that Half-Elves needed to stay hidden and away from these events. Soon enough, human prejudice lead to the treatment of half-elves as pariahs and outcasts. They along with other halflings were to be hunted and slaughtered, branded as unnatural beings. Although the Guardian Clans did not share their mindset, they were bound by the Pact of Segregation. Settlements and Colonies burned to the ground until very few half-elves remain.

    More than 1000 years after the formation of the Pact, Half-elves witnessed the clash of human superpowers in the Continental Wars. These wars, took the attention away from Halflings, leaving the Half-elves to secretly form the Gemini Society, an organization that links the peoples of Half-kind and their supporters. The organization starts from a single region to becoming a secret, but worldwide force dedicated to the protection and preservation of the Halflings of Elegos.



    Physical Appearance
    Physical Traits and gender among Half-elves are dependent on the gender of the each parent.
    Male Human and Female Elf coupling will bring about a female half-elf, with all the natural physical traits of full-blooded Elves.
    Male Elf and Female Human coupling will bring about a Male half-elf, with normal characteristics of Human males.


    Common Traits

    Mental Prowess:
    Due to their longevity and the desire for knowledge, Half-elves are very intelligent.

    Emotionally High-strung:
    Inherited from their elven side are the strong emotions they fell, however they lack the discipline to control them. As such it takes years longer than a human to control and discipline their emotions.

    Childhood 5-15 years old
    Teenager 15-30 years old
    Young Adult 30-50 years old
    Adult life 50- several hundred.

    Adept in Spirit Artes
    Elves, like all Guardian Claners, are able to use the spirit energy from within themselves and their surroundings in the form of Artes. Every Half-elf is capable of the same.
