yep Azani's story is all about adding a new domain and thus new powers vis changing her image in Japanese culture, once enough people believe it she will gain that, but it take a lot to change who you are when you are fairly well established. Normal gods of earth would have the issue of staying alive needing someone remembering them constantly while they are slowly forgotten.

I also vaguely remember some regalias just popping in with their gods (no hand holding necessary) like the case of Tenjins regalias when they appeared before Yato when Tenjin was first introduced (granted that one was also at his shrine so maybe the shrine has something to do with it *shrug*). Honestly, teleport seems more like a learned skill than anything and I'm pretty sure gods can't teleport to Yomi/Heaven as they please, so there are probably limits as well...and every god seems to have their own version of it...

That said, I understand that, personality-wise, his character isn't one to just name regalias, and I do imagine that gods would have the spiritual energy capable of all sorts of mystics should they be trained (at the very least, way more than any spiritual human is capable of).This is also a sandbox rp. As long as it's not OP, I'm fine with you developing your character how you wish in it while you tell his story. The above is simply a possible explanation to his diverse supernatural skillsets as compared to a god like, say, Yato whose main thing was that he was born able to fight (very well) as a kid. That said, if you have anything else that could explain it better, feel free to go with that instead.
