Memories Are Forever (1x1 with YukiUchiha)

Clay thanked her mom for the food and then they both agreed on a movie and began to watch it together. This was more like it, this is what he missed. He couldn't help but smile as he ate his food and watch the movie with her.

After awhile Ashley began to fall asleep from the lack of sleep she got. She leaned on Clay with her head on his shoulder as she slept. Her phone going off because Drew was calling her. He wanted her at his house.

Clay shut the phone off and tossed it onto the dresser. He covered her with both blankets and smiled as she wrapped an arm around him. As always she was fighting sleep. "I'll be here when you wake up don't worry." He whispers

Ashley held Clay closer to her and when she heard what Clay said she smiled. "Promise?" She whispers before slowly starting to fall asleep with her arm still around Clay and pulling him close. She always had to make sure Clay would stay and be there when she woke up. She always fought her sleep in general.

"Promise." He replies in a gentle whisper watching her slowly succumb to her sleep. When she finally fell asleep he sat there in the quietness thinking, eventually his arm fell asleep but he didn't move it because he didn't went to wake her.

Ashley's phone continued to ring and eventually the house phone rang. Ashley had one in her room and when she heard it she shut her eyes tighter to try and stay asleep but she woke up and reached for it. When she saw it was Drews number she sighed and answered it. "Hello?" She said and Drew answered. "What are you doing my love? "I'm here in my room watching tv with Clay." It slipped. She was still half asleep and when Drew spoke again you knew he was angry. "With Clay? Didn't we talk about him Ashley. Didn't we talk about he would keep you away from me? You don't want that do you my love?" He said and Ashley fell asleep again. "Ashley? Ashley!" Drew exclaimed once more and the phone feel on Clays lap.

Clay hung up the phone and unplugged it from the wall. Drew was really started to irritate him. He then leaned closer and waited for the inevitable. He knew Drew would come barfing through eventually.

And Drew did just that. He barged into Ashley room and hated what he saw. Ashley's parents weren't home anyways. He walked over and grabbed Ashley and pulled her away from Clay and close to him. "Why can't you just get it Clay? She doesn't want you." He exclaimed and Ashley looked at Clay as Drews grip got tighter. She winced from the pain and let out a cry of pain. Why did this have to happen?

Clay stood up from the bed and grabbed hold of his hand that held a tight grip on Ashley "Let her go." He says sternly. Releasing his grip on her before he even had the chance to refuse. "This isn't about me, this is about you, hurting her. Who taught you it was okay to treat a woman like that?!" He placed Ashley behind himself so she was safe. "Why don't you pick on somebody your own size because what you're doing to her is disgusting and revolting. You're not a man, you're a coward."

Ashley stayed behind Clay and cried quietly. She didn't want to be with Drew anymore but she did it to keep Clay safe. Drew laughed and grinned. "Is that a challenge Clay? Do you honestly think even if I lose she will go back to you? After you left her for two years by herself. She doesn't need someone like you." Drew said and pulled out a pocket knife. When Ashley heard it she stood in front of Clay and looked at Drew. "Don't Drew... Don't....I'll do whatever you want just don't hurt him." She said as she cried and Drew smiled. "Then let's go Ashley." Ashley shivered at those words and slowly walked over to Drew who held her close to him. She looked away from Clay and Drew laughed again. "I always win." Drew said and walked towards the door with Ashley.

Clay laughed amused. "Yeah, you totally won." Clay says following them outside where Drew still had the pocket knife out and a cop was standing there. "Let her go," he says and Clay walked up behind Drew and took Ashley protectively in his arms again.

Ashley continued to cry and when in Clays arms she hid her face and cried on his chest. She was so scared. She didn't want to go back with Drew. She honestly didn't know what she would do without Clay. Drew cursed under his breath and looked at Clay. "This isn't over." He said as he was out in the car with handcuffs.

Clay shook his head at Drew and he smiled at the fact he didn't know just how long he would be in for. When they left Clay contained to hold her. "Shhh, it's okay, he's not going to hurt you anymore."

"I'm sorry... I'm sorry I'm so stupid and stayed with a guy like him." She told him as she continued to cry and her asthma began to act up. She needed to calm down but just couldn't. She was shaking still. She was so scared she had to actually leave with him again.

"No, you're not stupid you were just afraid and there's no need to afraid anymore." He whispers in her ear still holding her close. He had never seen her so broken before and it was horrible for him to have to see it. "Calm down, I'm right here, he's gone and he isn't coming back."

Ashley tried to calm down and when she finally did she let out a sigh. "I'm glad you're here." She whispered and stayed with her face on his chest as she let the last of her tears fall. Ashley was normally so strong. She never broke down like this before. Was it because Clay was here? Was he the only one she'd ever break around?

"Me too." He whispers still not letting her go. He didn't know how things would has gone if he hadn't stepped in when he did. Nor did he want to to even think about it.

Ashley eventually stopped crying and looked up at Clay with a smile. "No more fighting okay?" She asked him and smiled. She didn't want to lose Clay. "Well, we have a movie to finish don't you think?" She asked and took his hand to take him back inside and up to her room.

Allie laughed softly but smiled. "You and mom are too cute." She said and Rylan nodded. "So you kept mom safe. Y'all's first fight was intense though." He said and Cory nodded.

"You're telling me, your mom and I though were never ones to fight over stupid things. When we fought we had reason to though it didn't happen often."

"I think we know. Obviously mom hated fighting when y'all were married." Allie said and Rylan nodded. "Oh yeah. Mom never liked fighting with you dad." He said. And then they smiled.

Clay laughed. "That makes two of us," Clay says flipping through the pages. "Ahhh, this is after we for engaged and she took him hike to meet the rest of her family. Boy was I afraid those country folks wouldn't like me because I was a city boy."

Allie and Cory laughed as Allie smiled. "Well, I'm surprised Aunt Jaime didn't kill ya." She said and the three laughed. "So wanna tell us about it?" Rylan asked wanting to know how well a city boy did out at the country.

"Why would you think that? She actually like me the most." Clay says with a laugh starting the story.

As soon as they arrived Clay found Ashley's hand and kept it there. He had no clue what to expect here and he was beyond terrified her family wouldn't like him at all. "You know when I said I would come here if you wanted, I thought if would be before I asked you to marry me." He says putting empathsis on the before part of his sentence.

Ashley looked at her fiancée and laughed. "Oh please Clay. You'll be fine. Aunt Jaimes the one ya gotta worry bout. If she likes ya then you're fine." Ashley told him and laughed then walked inside the ranch if her uncle. "Ashley!" Her cousin exclaimed and went over to hug her. "Hey there Brit." Ashley said as the two hugged for awhile and then Ashley said. "Brit, this is Clay my Fiancée." Brit smiled and held out her hand to shake. "So you're the city boy huh?" She asked then looked at Ashley after shaking Clays hand. "He's handsome." She said and Ashley laughed. "That he is." Ashley said then took Clays hand in hers and walked out to the back.

"Oh yeah, that's real good encouragement." Clay whipsawed before they entered. He smiled at Ashley's introduction of him and shook Brit's hand laughing softly at her calling him the city boy. He was never used to ring the minority. When they walked awake he sighed lightly in relief. So far so good.
