Where abouts: Yelling at William infront of the Tailor shop.

"Excuse me!? Did I say you can flirt with me cause I don't think so dish rag!" Brooke shouted very much annoyed and furious as she crossed her arms. Was this guy serious? Really he was trying to complement her with out her saying so?! Sure she loved being called beautiful but not by people like him. Like oh my god who does this low life cloth maker think he is flirting with her and especially comparing himself to some of the greatest fashion designers around. "And don't even try comparing your clothes to the ones I wear! They are no where near as high class infact they look like you made them out of a potato sac!." The blonde snapped back in anger.

Atlas Simons
General Store

Atlas cringed. "Rats? Jesus, those boys just love to cause trouble. I bet that didn't go over too well with Richard... that could be pretty bad. Especially if people don't know that the kids let out the rat's," he bit his lip, thinking. Hopefully they would get all the rats, but if they couldn't for one reason or another perhaps he'd have to come up with something to catch them... or maybe Riley would. He figured was probably much better with building things like that than he was.

"Oh, I'll definitely be there," he said, grinning like a boy who had just won a goldfish. He figured she asked a lot of people to come down, she profited from more people, but he still felt giddy she had asked him. Like, it was a date! Kind of. Except she'd probably be performing the whole time. But that was fine. The point was, she had asked him to come and he'd be stupid if he didn't go. "Oh yeah, that's fine - I don't want to keep you up. I'll definitely be there tonight, don't worry!" he said.

He paid the 76G, not a pad price. "Thank you, Marcus. That'll be good," he said, smiling sincerely at the guy. He turned back to Willow. "I've got to get home and get this stuff settled in, but I'll come by the Pub soon, alright?" he said with a smile, showing his teeth. He suddenly got the urge to give her a kiss, but he stopped himself, leaving it at that. "Bye, y'all!"

Isabelle

It didn't take Isabelle long to get to the Cherry Blossom Flower Shop. But it seems she had just missed her aunt, as indicated by the closed sign and the locked door. "Oh no...Maybe she had a delivery." The child frowned a little. "Hm. She'll probably be back later. But...she might be looking for me too." She thought for a moment before an idea occurred to her. She had a some money on her, so why not stop by the general store? There were some things the Callaway household needed after all. And besides, if her aunt was looking for her, she might even stop there. It seemed like a win-win situation. Smiling, she turned and quickly headed in the general store's direction.

Suzy kissed her brother on the cheek and pushed pass Brooke with a small 'excuse me', she had a mission after all. There was all kinds of things happening around town and she was going to get all the information she could on it. As she was running she saw Isabelle and came to a stop, she wasn't always able to play with the other girl so she was always excited when she could. Deciding to do recall later she ran up to her, beaming. "Isabelle! How are you feeling? Can you play today?"

Isabelle stopped when she heard Suzy's voice. She turned to face the other girl. "Hi Suzy! I'm feeling pretty well today." She paused for a moment before deciding the general store could wait. "Sure! I can play today." She nodded, a grin forming on her face. She was always happy to play with Suzy. The other girl was probably the only other kid in town who wasn't a huge troublemaker. She didn't have anything against Tex or Rex, of course. The boys could just be a little much sometimes.

  • Esther Morgan

Esther was a little taken back by his comment, she had meant it as a compliment. She lowered her eyes, not sure how she should proceed, At that moment she didn’t feel like going back to the clinic and it was her lunch break. She looked at Richard, before glancing away and wondered inside if there was anything she could do to get him to see her in a different light. His question also caught her off guard, for some reason it hurt the way he said it, but of course the two had never gotten along.

She smiled softly, for the first time she lifted her head with confidence and instead of sounding harsh, she quickly nodded her head. “I actually would love some lunch, perhaps a small sandwich….” She said softly, her cheeks began to light up again and she turned her head. “I sometimes wonder why we don’t get along…. But I suppose, someone constantly telling you to stop doing something, would be rather annoying….” She giggled, then she gave him a serious look, as she folded her hands. “But, I don’t know how to stop caring for someone….”

It took her a moment to realize what she just said, suddenly she began to become flustered, looking down at the counter. “I mean, as a nurse at Course! Nothing more….. So yeah, how about that sandwich…..”

  • Rex

Rex was not very happy with himself, nor was he happy that an adult had found out what they did. But the truth was, they could not blame the fire on the mayor, they would be seen through. “I’m okay, I don’t want to see the doctor or nurse…. I’ll get in trouble…. We didn’t mean to set fire to her house…. She just… She just drives us crazy and she’s always trying to help! And she’s not our mother! It always feels like she’s trying to be!” The little boy let out a huff, holding his arm and looking down.

Richard Bell Bertrand
Hucklebumble Pub & Inn

This all seemed a bit strange to Richard. Like... Esther was being... nice? She wasn't nagging him or telling him what to do. In fact, she had even been a bit... sweet. He shook the thought out of his head, the idea made him feel a bit strange. Of course Esther was just being a nurse. That was what she was... a nurse. He felt a bit disappointed, thinking that way for some reason. Did he want her to care about him more? No...no that was a silly thought. Of course not. But still, she was being kind.

"No problem," he said, cracking a small smile that wasn't too forced. He nodded to Elena, giving her the cue to make the sandwich.

Richard stood there for an awkward moment before walking around the edge of the bar and sitting down next to Esther. He looked down at his hands, and then over to the bottle of alcohol sitting on the counter. He resisted the urge, knowing he was really asking for it if he drank right in front of her. He looked around, trying to think of something to talk about. "So, any interesting stuff lately? Anyone sick?" he asked, clearing his throat. He stole a glance at her, feeling probably more awkward than he ever had in his life. His palms were sweating a bit. He hoped he wasn't making a fool of himself. But he noticed then how young she was. Sometimes he forgot, seeing her as just "the nurse" instead of a young woman. And, not to mention, she was quite a pretty woman. Beautiful, even. He looked away, realizing his stolen glance had bordered into a stare. He felt his cheeks go a bit red, and looked in the other direction, clearing his throat.

This moment with making Esther feel really uncomfortable, yet at the same time she was enjoying being close to the person she liked. It was at that time when she was trying really hard to think of something to talk about, when she saw Richard sit next to her, causing her to shift around in her seat. Never had they ever had a moment like this one before, in her head she kept screaming at herself ‘don’t ruin it’ this was a chance to try and make the relationship a little better.

“Well, nothing more than usual…. One of the animals is going to have a baby…. So, that’s exciting….” Esther could not believe how she was making conversation, she doubted that Richard cared about the animals. Suddenly Eloise brought out the sandwich, winking at Esther before walking back into the kitchen.

“What about you…. Anything new?” She then remembered what had happened that morning to the poor guy, she let out a chuckle. “I heard about all the chaos….” She then turned really serious, not wanting Richard to think she had been making fun of him. “I’m sorry that happened…. Your nephew’s are something else, but they are good kids….. Just a little confused….” She snapped her mouth shut, delicately eating her sandwich.

Richard nodded as she spoke about the animals. He was trying to seem attentive, and it wasn't that he wasn't interested in what she was saying, but he was so inside of his own head with stress that he couldn't really focus well on what she was saying. Eloise brought out her sandwich, setting it in front of her. He set his eyes on her sandwich, not sure were else to look. "Yeah, they can be really...irritating," he said. "But I do love them. They are just ... lost I think," he looked up at her.

"I - I'm sorry," he said, standing up and grabbing a glass, he filled it with ice and then poured some of the alcohol in it, topping the rest of it off with a can of coke. "Want one?" he asked, setting a coke in front of her before she could answer. He took a sip of the drink, sighing in relief as he felt a little less stressful. "Old habits die hard," he mumbled, despite the fact that that was a severe understatement when it came to Richard's drinking habits.

"But, yeah. I don't know that there mother is going to get any better," he said regretfully. "I'd love for them to be able to see her again, but I don't think that's going to be possible," he said, leaning down on the bar, resting his elbows. He wanted to change the topic, now. That was a little too deep for him. Those boys struck a cord in him, regardless of if he drinks or not.

"Is it good?" he asked, nodding to her sandwich.

  • Esther Morgan

As Esther watched him after his comment about them, she could feel herself growing a little softer towards him. She had him pegged all wrong from the beginning, he wasn’t as bad as she thought he was. It made her feel guilty on how rough she was towards him, constantly telling him to stop drinking. Everyone had their thing they needed to help them cope with everyday life, this just happened to be Richard’s. She opened the can slowly, taking a sip from it and giving him a smile.

“It’s wonderful! I love eating here!” She exclaimed, turning her head to the side and putting the money on the counter. She didn’t care if it was too much, she lives by herself and had nobody to support, so she had money to spare. She looked over towards the window, as much as she didn’t want to leave, she still had a lot of work to do. “Well, it’s been fun…. But, I better get back to the clinic…. “ She turned towards the door, stopping midway before turning around again.

“I would—“ she paused a moment, debating on whether or not she should continue on what she was going to say. “I would love if we could chat again sometime and also….” She walked back over to the counter placing down some more aspirin. “Just, please take care of yourself and if you need to I will get you more….” That was Esther’s way of saying she would stop nagging him about his drinking, she quickly turned and tried to rush out the door.

"Great! Glad to hear it!" She said responding to him coming. He seemed really excited about it. She didn't understand why though. Maybe he was just a fan of her dancing. She smiled back at him as he smiled at her and for moment it looked like he was about to do something but then he suddenly said goodbye and got ready to leave. "Oh! Atlas...um" Suddenly she didn't know why but she felt nervous. "N-nevermind see you tonight." She always wanted to tell Atlas how much she loved his smile but every time she tried todo it she got nervous for some reason. Weird I never get like that...except when I'm around William....She thought to herself with a slight blush to her cheeks. She suddenly she shook her head making the blush disappear. "Here you go." She said handing Marcus the mouse traps. "How much?"

Cathal sat cross-legged on the floor. "I'm going to tell you a secret about teachers. At least about good teachers, which Miss Camilla seems to be. She's not your mom, and she knows that, but the second you two walked into her classroom, you became her kids anyway. She cares about you gremlins an awful lot. And if how she does that bothers you, it might be a wee bit more productive to tell her nicely than to set her house on fire, hmm?" Cathal patted Rex's cheek like he might have patted Atticus'. "I thought you were going to go blow up a fish pond or something. You're a higher level of chaos than I ever was, loves. Now, let me see that arm." He didn't expect it would be too bad--firecrackers were more about the noise than the fire--but they'd already caused more damage than he expected with them, so he decided to suspend his expectations until further notice.

Riley Donavan

"Aw hell, Bryan," Riley said putting down her groceries. Something inside her waffled for a moment- but she persisted "Your house is too damn far." She walked over to the situation like she would approach a hole in a roof- pragmatically and knowing the exact way to fix it. "We're gonna get you to the clinic, Camila, no sense to just sit here and suffer with it," She announced and then in one foul swoop scooped her up off the bench skirts and all. It wasn't until she had her in her arms that she realized two things 1. She fit there rather well. 2. She smelled like lavender and she liked that.
Riley was tall and Camila wasn't much heavier than half an unsawed log and she gauged that the distant to the clinic wouldn't be any problem. "I've got you-" she assured the school teacher, and then to Bryan; "You should see if you can rustle up the Doctor or the Nurse."

Camilla let out a shout when Riley scooped her up and threw her arms around her in instinct. Once she was situated, embarrassement struck about how she was being carried as if she weighed nothing. "Miss Riley please don't strain yourself! " her voice was weak and she had to resist the urge to hide her now red face in her hands.

"I mean..." She began to sputter, "Your not heavy."
She tried to think of something nicer way to put it- some way more elegant or friendly, but she was certain that comparing Camila to a log or solid oak rocking chair was probably not the most favorable comparison.
"It's really no problem," She said awkwardly.

Belladonna/ town hall

Bella watched from her spot hiden by the wall. She had an idea who had set the fire, though why was the current question. Moving away she silently walked towards Atticus and Steve until she was only a few feet away. She wrote down 'I'll help' on her notebook and showed it to them. Bella hoped they wouldn't ridicule her offer.

Bryan watched as Riley scooped up the school teacher in her arms. He quickly went to the hospital and began to knock on the door. He peered inside the window to see if there was anyone in there, but the lights were off and he couldn't see anyone. He decided to give them a minute to see if maybe they had just slept in. After a minute he realized no one was coming he walked back to the two women.

"No one is there. I'll go grab my first aid kit from the house, I'll be back." he offered and jogged back home. He went inside the house and into the bathroom. He grabbed the first aid kit and jogged back to the bench. He opened up the kit and grabbed some a large square band aide, a rag, and some hydrogen peroxide.

"This might sting a bit, but I want to clean your foot first." Bryan warned as he poured a little of the hydrogen peroxide on the rag. He gently cleaned her foot, trying not to hurt her too much. Once the cut was clean he put the band aid on. "There you go. It will do until the nurse gets here." Bryan said.

Richard Bell Bertrand
Hucklebumble Pub & Inn

Richard chuckled at her excitement over the food. It was cute, in a way. Like a child being overly excited about something - but he didn't see her as a child either. He nodded as she said her need to go back to the clinic. He was sure she had things to do, being the only nurse in town had it's demands. He watched her walk to the door, but she turned around before walking out. He wondered for a moment if she was going to come back in. She did, to his surprise, setting down some aspirin on the counter. He nodded at her words. "I would like to talk to you again, too," he said, feeling embarrased but needed to say it anyways. She hustled out then and he picked up the aspirin off the counter, tucking it into his pocket.

Picking up the plate she had left and setting it on the counter between the bar and the kitchen, he thought about what the hell had just happened. He sat down, nursing his drink and thinking. That was not like any interaction they had had before. What had changed? Richard had stayed the same, he thought, it seemed that she had developed a soft spot for him? He wondered if it would be short lived. It was just this morning that she was nagging him for drinking again. He sighed, watching the door she had just left out of. Everyone was gone in the pub, save for Eloise bumbling around in the back. Maybe he should have gone himself for the traps, but then he wouldn't have seen Esther. He hoped she would come back tonight...

Atlas Simons
General Store

Atlas turned around a moment when Willow called his name, but disappointingly she said never mind. He shrugged it off, waving to her and walking out the doors of the shop. He strolled home, not in any particular rush to get home quickly. He thought about Willow as he walked, the way she had said his name, the way she looked, her hair. She was beautiful, perfect, everything he had ever wanted in a girl. Sure, there was other girls in town, and normally he preferred girls with short hair, but there was really just something about Willow that made him look no further than her. And he was lucky, a girl like that could easily be scooped up by now, but he was hoping that she would be hers.

He made his way into the shop, stomping up the stairs into his house. "Hey Dad, I got you your water," he said, putting the jug on the table next to his father. He grunted his thanks, not uncommon coming from his dad. Sometimes he seemed like a zombie, just staring at the TV screen all day. But, Atlas couldn't blame him. The guy couldn't do much and never seemed to want to come out. "Mom, where are ya? I got stuff for peanut butter and banana smoothies!" he yelled out.

"Back here!" called his mother from her bedroom.

Atlas walked back to his parents bedroom, peeking in. His mother was laying in the bed, looking a little pale.

"Hey mom, are you okay? You look a little pale. Want something to eat?"

"No, sweetie, I'm fine. Just a bit hot - will you turn on the fan?" she asked.

"Sure, mom," he said, flicking the switch to turn the overhead fan on. It began to blow cool air, and his mother sighed in relief. "If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask - ok?" he told her, before leaving the room and closing it a crack.

Camilla couldn't help but marvel at how strong and muscular Riley was. Her thoughts were interrupted when Bryan wiped her foot and she hissed and almost pulled away. After the bandaid was put on she gave him a smile "thank you so much, you're very kind."

~Elena Goodwin~

Elena nodded at Richard's words, feeling a bit shameful for not being there when someone needed to be served. She sighed quietly as she turned away, heading to the back to fetch her apron. She would have to make it up to Bryan later, deciding to pay for his next meal at the inn/pub when she could afford it as she tied the apron around her waist. She dusted it off, ignoring how tattered and stained it had become. She knew it belonged to the previous waitress, and she didn't mind using the same apron. She still got paid, and clearly, that's all that mattered.

She went back out to the front, beginning to take orders from any of the villagers who decided to have lunch at the inn/pub. There wasn't a whole lot of business, but the place hadn't been deserted. She supposed it wasn't so bad. However, as she served them, she stole quick glances at Richard and Esther. She quirked an eyebrow, but she decided she wouldn't bother them. She would when they needed a refill or maybe f they wanted anything else; however, she found her thoughts remaining on the two of them. Normally, if they had been in the same room, they would either be arguing or she'd be constantly nagging at him. Yet when she had seen them, they almost appeared to be happy. It was a strange and rare sight to behold, but she found herself giving a small smile at the thought. Maybe Richard could be happy after all. He just needed the right girl, and despite their age difference, Esther seemed to be the girl.

It was almost like one of her books. A fairy tale romance- well, a bit more modernized, but still a cute couple nonetheless. She knew the both of them would be too prideful to admit anything, but she knew. She had read it so many times that it was just too obvious for her. She leaned against the counter, waiting for another order to get out as she sighed contently. This would be interesting to see unfold. Almost like a book being told right before her eyes. It almost was enough to make her forget about the book of fairy tales the Atticus had given her.

Riley Donovan
Clinic

Riley deposited Camila on the clinic steps and winced as she watched Bryan do a little first aide. She'd rather leave that sort of thing to Esther- But Bryan like most farmers were jacks of all trades and self starters in everything they did. He was the kind of man who got things done- maybe not how'd she want them done- but he did get them done and she always had to appreciate that.
"There you are, baby bird," She said to Camila, without a second thought for the pet name, and craned her neck to survey the town from the steps. She saw the top of Esther head rushing out the pub and gave a big wave and a yell.

Atticus Fawks
pub

Atticus gave the mayor a nod, "Yes sir, I'll find her- right now," he said saying the right now like it surprised him that he did in fact need to do it now rather than later. He set off at a jog for the pub- that is if he didn't see his grandmother first. She was supposed to be taking it easy but she usually snuck down into town to knit. No sight of her though so he opened the pub door and entered. The brunch rush seemed to be over. He gave a little salute as he approached Richie at the bar.
he looked left and then looked right before he spoke- but he saw Elena and tripped over himself a little before he said, "Hey, Richie, I'm looking Camila? Has she been in today?"
He left out the details or hints about her property damage because he knew how this town was in small talk. In fact if he found her before she found out through the rumor mill he'd be impressed.

William leaned against the counter, ready for a good slap in the face or for her to start sputtering. She had made the grave mistake of earning the scorn of his sister after all.
