Even Ariao couldn't help the quick choked laugh at Spencer's excuse. Of course he would get singled out, acting like he didn't care in class was a sure-fire way to get a teacher's attention. "Even I can't wait to get out of high school." She murmured, a faint smirk on her face as she thought of her plans to go to Wyland's Stone University of Law. Hopefully there, she'd finally be free of Jonas and his little group and be able to start on the path of being a defense attorney.
Magia looked to Ariao after she made that comment. "Ah yes. Ariao Gavin," she cooked out, her yellow eyes brightening when she said her name. "Now, you see, Spencer. Ariao is a wonderful student to take after as an idol of what a good student is. As a matter of fact, she is a wonderful student. Determined, engaged. You should follow in her footsteps. After all, this is your last year of high school, and your most important year at that."
Leo couldn't help chuckling at Spencer's behavior himself. He couldn't expect any less from him. He was always that smart student who thought school was a waste of time, so all he did was sleep in class. Or made frequent trips to the bathroom - some trips lasting the entirety of class strangely enough. He glanced back to Ariao and managed an intrigued smile at her as Ochelissa started describing what kind of student Ariao is.
Spencer inhaled a deep breath and rolled his eyes again. "That's because Ariao is actually gonna GO places..." he breathed, drawing Ochelissa's attention back to him.
"You have to speak up, Mr. Mercer. Come, stand up and introduce yourself to the class. Come on - up up up!" she chirped, clearly giddy that she was able to force a student like Spencer to interact with the class.
With an eyebrow raised, she looked between the teacher and Spencer. "A reputation?" Clearly he was a rebellious student, but he didn't seem to be the same kind of rebel as herself. Instead he didn't seem to he enjoying himself. Wasn't that point of being rebellious? To have fun in less than happy times? She shrugged internally and laughed lightly at Spencer's retort.
At Brandy's question, Spencer gave her a look. "Hey, I thought you were on my side..." he defensively exclaimed, but then Ochelissa's excitement drew his attention. He dramatically groaned and slung himself up from his desk. He shoved his hands into the pockets of his black hoodie and muttered to himself as he trudged up to the front of the classroom. Once he was up there, he lazily turned around, slinging around his weight, and glared at the back wall.
Ochelissa chirped with glee, clapping her hands, then looked to Ariao. "Miss Gavin. Why don't you join Mr. Mercer? Give him a demonstration of how to properly assert his classmates?" She grinned brightly, eyes lighting up.
"I'm sorry, what exactly is the point of this? Because... I fail to see it," Spencer couldn't help but snap, slightly sneering and glaring at Ochelissa.
