Even Ariao couldn't help the quick choked laugh at Spencer's excuse. Of course he would get singled out, acting like he didn't care in class was a sure-fire way to get a teacher's attention. "Even I can't wait to get out of high school." She murmured, a faint smirk on her face as she thought of her plans to go to Wyland's Stone University of Law. Hopefully there, she'd finally be free of Jonas and his little group and be able to start on the path of being a defense attorney.

Magia looked to Ariao after she made that comment. "Ah yes. Ariao Gavin," she cooked out, her yellow eyes brightening when she said her name. "Now, you see, Spencer. Ariao is a wonderful student to take after as an idol of what a good student is. As a matter of fact, she is a wonderful student. Determined, engaged. You should follow in her footsteps. After all, this is your last year of high school, and your most important year at that."

Leo couldn't help chuckling at Spencer's behavior himself. He couldn't expect any less from him. He was always that smart student who thought school was a waste of time, so all he did was sleep in class. Or made frequent trips to the bathroom - some trips lasting the entirety of class strangely enough. He glanced back to Ariao and managed an intrigued smile at her as Ochelissa started describing what kind of student Ariao is.
Spencer inhaled a deep breath and rolled his eyes again. "That's because Ariao is actually gonna GO places..." he breathed, drawing Ochelissa's attention back to him.
"You have to speak up, Mr. Mercer. Come, stand up and introduce yourself to the class. Come on - up up up!" she chirped, clearly giddy that she was able to force a student like Spencer to interact with the class.

With an eyebrow raised, she looked between the teacher and Spencer. "A reputation?" Clearly he was a rebellious student, but he didn't seem to be the same kind of rebel as herself. Instead he didn't seem to he enjoying himself. Wasn't that point of being rebellious? To have fun in less than happy times? She shrugged internally and laughed lightly at Spencer's retort.

At Brandy's question, Spencer gave her a look. "Hey, I thought you were on my side..." he defensively exclaimed, but then Ochelissa's excitement drew his attention. He dramatically groaned and slung himself up from his desk. He shoved his hands into the pockets of his black hoodie and muttered to himself as he trudged up to the front of the classroom. Once he was up there, he lazily turned around, slinging around his weight, and glared at the back wall.
Ochelissa chirped with glee, clapping her hands, then looked to Ariao. "Miss Gavin. Why don't you join Mr. Mercer? Give him a demonstration of how to properly assert his classmates?" She grinned brightly, eyes lighting up.
"I'm sorry, what exactly is the point of this? Because... I fail to see it," Spencer couldn't help but snap, slightly sneering and glaring at Ochelissa.

Ariao froze for a moment when Ms. Magia turned her attention to her next. Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath. This is just like a practice run, nothing more, nothing less. She thought as she stood, placing her pen down on the desk and walking to the front of the room, clasping her hands behind her back as she walked to keep them from twitching nervously. "Probably because you aren't even trying to do this." Ariao whispered to Spencer once she reached him. Giving Spencer a slight smirk, her practiced courtroom personality came to the surface and she turned to face the class. "He's not wrong about me wanting to go places, just so you all know. I plan to follow the Gavin name as a Defense Attorney." She tilted her head up slightly, her mind changing the classroom into a mock courtroom, bringing a sort of fire to her eyes. "For Truth will always be brought to the light of Justice. That is the meaning behind the Gavin name." Though she knew the majority of the people there knew about the fact that her father had been stripped of his title and thrown in prison for murder just a few weeks ago.

Her eyes widened as he exclaimed about sides. She didn't have anytime to respond though as suddenly Spencer and the girl he always hung out with, Ariao, were called to the front. Brandy rested back in her chair, glad she wasn't an obvious target. Though she was a trouble maker, she was rarely caught. And unlike the two up front, she was a completely average student. She got average grades and occasionally turned in homework, so to her all was good.

"What a joke." Jonas spat from a few seats behind Brandy. "How long before she follows her corrupt father?" He sneered, earning a few words of agreement from his little following around him.

Brandy had no idea what came over her. She was never the type to get involved in other people's business, yet there she was, standing in front of the kid Jonas' desk. Her palm stung from its contact with his face. She blinked in surprise a number of times, looking from the boys clearly angered expression to her own hand. She then turned to look at the other students as if they would have some sort of answer to what the hell just happened. But all she got back were looks of shock. She turned back to Jonas, uncertain of how this easily irritable guy would respond.

Spencer looked to Ariao when she made her comment towards him and he widened his eyes defensively. "I got up, didn't I?" he hissed back quietly to her, then rolled his eyes and hissed out a sigh from under his breath.
After his defensive demeanor subsided, he glanced back to Ariao and caught her smirk. His heart practically skipped a beat and his cheeks flushed red. he huffed and quickly averted his gaze, crossing his arms with hunched shoulders. When she started speaking, he felt his eyes wandering back over to her. As she spoke, and Spencer saw that familiar fire return to her eyes, he felt himself melt inside. That's what she had been missing the past few days. That fire... It flashed and flamed in her eyes, the familiar fire he grew to know and came to fall in love with before the fallout with her father. As he watched her, he broke down his cool, moody barrier for a moment, a slight smile crossing his face. A glimmer flickered through his bright green eyes and a piece of his long, thick black hair fell into his face. Once she had finished her speech, he fund himself grinning from ear to ear, clearly infatuated with her.

"What a joke." Jonas spat from a few seats behind Brandy. "How long before she follows her corrupt father?" He sneered, earning a few words of agreement from his little following around him.

Spencer just barely caught Jonas's comment. When he did, his eyes suddenly flashed and he frowned, snapping his gaze towards the bully. His energy spiked extremely, back up to Beta level when he heard those words spew from Jonas's mouth, but before he could speak up or even think about what to say back to him, Brandy stood. He watched as she swiftly crossed the room and smacked Jonas clear across the face. Stunned and shell-shocked at what he just witnessed, Spencer's jaw dropped. His energy suddenly fell back down to Omega level due to the after effects of the shock. He was rendered speechless, just gaping at Brandy. He glanced over at Ariao, now barely able to keep his face straight enough to keep from grinning. Did she really just...!? He wished Ariao could read his mind to hear that.

Gonna add Leo too))

Leo watched Ariao deliver her speech and was astounded by it himself. As he watched Ariao and listened to her skill, he smiled widely and gave her his full, undivided attention, clearly engaged in her speech. His golden eyes glimmered, a sort of spark briefly igniting within him. He watched her and listened with awe, even resorting to noting down her every movement, every gesture, and the way she held herself so that he, too, could speak as skillfully and naturally as she could. When she gave her speech, he even clapped, grinning now. He was about to compliment her when Jonas made his sudden snide remark. He glanced over to him, the light leaving his eyes, and frowned. A small gape of disapproval formed across his face and was about to say something to him when Brandy's movements suddenly caught his attention. He watcher her, leaning back slightly when he saw how quickly she was closing in on Jonas. When she finally reached him and slapped him, Leo felt a pang of shock shoot through him as well. He felt the sudden urge to stand, having a feeling this was about to escalate, but couldn't bring himself to move. Instead, he looked to Ochelissa with wide eyes. This definitely wouldn't end well, there was no doubt about that.

Saith's eyes widened when she heard Brandy's little outburst against Jonas. Raising an eyebrow, She covered one of her eyes with her bangs unintentionally. How did she actually have the guts to slap Jonas like that? "This definetly won't end well..." Saith muttered under her breath. She wanted to look away, but she also wanted to know what Jonas' reaction would be as well.

Ariao's eyes widened in shock and she cast a quick look at Spencer, disbelief clear in her eyes. She had never known anyone aside from her closest friends to raise a fuss over Jonas' words, let alone to slap the guy. The second she saw a tick in Jonas' eyes, she knew what was coming next.

"Why you little..!" Jonas snapped, slamming his hands loudly on his desk and getting to his feet, eyes blazing in fury as he took a step towards Brandy.

"Leave her alone, Angelo." Ariao said clearly, her own eyes narrowed as she stepped forward. "Your beef is with me, remember?" She asked coldly. Moving so that she stood next to Brandy, she added, "So why don't you sit down? Ms. Magia is still trying to conduct a lesson in case you've forgotten?" Her tone was soft, but no less of a command as her eyes slowly moved to Brandy before moving back to Jonas. It seemed her little speech earlier had really given some of the fire back to her spirit, and even Jonas seemed to realize it.

Letting out a grunt, he slowly sank back into his seat, glaring at Ariao. "Just you wait, Gavin." He spat.

"Jonas Angelo! Brandy! Both of you, to the principal's office, now!" Ochelissa cried, utterly disgusted and disappointed in the behavior of her two students. "I will not tolerate that behavior in my class!"
Spencer was quick to take advantage. "I'll make sure they get there, Teach, don't worry. You can count on me!" he quickly said as he rushed to his desk, doing a sort of dance around the ones in his way, then grabbed his bag.
"Spencer Mercer, I don't think that will be necessary-"
Spencer sighed, face twisting with irritation as he shouldered his bag and met Ochelissa's gaze evenly. "And, please Teach... Call me Spike from now on," he growled, then shook his head as he made his way to the door to "escort" the other two. "I have to get my schedule changed anyway."
Ochelissa was stunned. She could barely say anything before Spencer finally left out the door to wait for the other two outside.
Once he was outside, Spencer pressed his back to the wall and got on his phone. He searched for Ariao's name, then sent her a message saying, "Hey send me a pic of your schedule so I can get mine matched to it ?". Once the message sent, he turned his attention to the door, barely able to contain a laugh at what he just witnessed. Jonas just got served by a girl he didn't even know.

Leo just watched the scene before him unfold, especially Spencer as he pulled his trick. He couldn't stop an amused smile from crossing his face. When he told Ochelissa to call him Spike, he furrowed his brow and tilted his head. *Spike...? Why Spike? That's such a random name...* he thought to himself, then turned his gaze to Ariao. He wondered what the deal with her and Jonas was... Maybe he could get her number after class.

Brandy stood wide eyed as Ariao, the girl she was apparently defending, walked up and talked Jonas down. She was all about ready to take her seat and pretend like it didn't happen when the teacher shrieked for them to go to the principle's office. A scowl pulled onto her freckled face as she began towards the door, ignoring the fact that Spencer, or Spike, or whatever he was called, said he would escort them. She was too far in her mind at that point, swearing at herself. Why had she done it? She didn't even know the people involved! Now she was going to be faced with possible suspension or even expulsion. She let out a frustrated sigh.
Maybe she could convince this Jonas kid to let it drop? He was clearly going to get in some sort of trouble, so maybe they could both agree to pretend that it wasn't what the teacher was saying. Pretend she was senile or something. Her mind continued to formulate different ideas on how to avoid the clear trouble she was in as she walked mindlessly towards the office.

Ariao let out a sigh when Spencer offered to escort Jonas and Brandy. I really hope he doesn't do anything stupid to get himself kicked out this early in the year. She thought, running a hand through her bangs and pushing them back slightly. This stupid thing with Jonas was all because he didn't know how to let things go, and now it seemed like it was about to involve yet another innocent in the form of Brandy. Though she had to admit that it had surprised her to see the girl make a stand against Jonas for seemingly no reason. It was then that she felt a particularly intense gaze on her and turned her head to the side, eyes widening slightly to see it was Leonardo who was looking at her, just as her phone buzzed in her pocket, indicating a text message had been sent to her.

Jonas sneered once more and grabbed his stuff roughly, clearly frustrated with the turn of events. Casting a final venomous glare at Ariao, he stomped out of the classroom.

(Just so you guys know, I'm packing up to move back to college and will be flying out Tuesday, so if I'm a little spotty I'm sorry!)

When Brandy walked out, Spencer was quick to join her side. "Hey, why did you stand up for my friend like that? I've never seen you do anything like that before," he asked her, glancing back over his shoulder as Jonas came out as well.

Ochelissa watched Jonas disapprovingly as he stormed out of the classroom. Once he and Brandy were gone, she sighed heavily. "My deepest apologies, class. Wonderful speech, Ariao. I will be sure to give you a full-credit participation grade. You may return to your seat." She eyed the clock. "Seeing as how we have only ten minutes of class left, I will go ahead and do a very brief presentation of class. Tomorrow I will hand out your syllabi..."
As Ochelissa returned to directing her class, Leo turned his gaze from her to Ariao.
"Are you alright?" he asked her, genuinely concerned. He really wanted to talk to her about why she was so hostile... But seeing how Jonas treats her, he could only imagine why now. He wanted to help her. He knew what it felt like to be frustrated and angry like that.

Ariao gave a slight bow when Ms Magia complimented her speech, glad for the chance to sit down before her adrenaline-fueled courage was gone. Letting out a sigh, she clenched her hands into fists in her lap when Leo spoke. Jumping slightly, she looked over at him, eyes widening slightly. "Yeah...yeah, I'm fine." She said haltingly, turning her gaze away. Too much had happened in the last little bit for her to really be fine, though, and the slight crack in her voice gave it away. She was fine...she had to be fine...because not being fine meant the world really would shatter around her with as cracked as it was already. She still hadn't pulled out her phone to see Spencer's message, not trusting her hands just yet to actually hold the thing without dropping it.

Leo gave her an uncertain look, but left her alone. If he found Jonas later, he would talk to him about his behavior just then himself. For now, he focused back on his notes.

Where would Travis and the pack be right now Ember? Until DD is able to reply we can do something with them and Melody))

(Travis could be in the area, sure. He kinda wanders back and forth between Wyland and Cywood. He's not in school, though. The only one who'd have a reason to be would be Genta. If you wanna start a scene with Melody, I'll follow along with it. :) )

Sure I can bring him in. I think he would be a Freshman at this time))

Meanwhile on the other side of the school, Senior Melody Parker was at lunch. She had the early lunch the first one of three for the day. She kind of liked it, since it didn't take her long to eat and she could practice her fencing on a tree. Her other fencing friends had one of the other lunches.
She had just finished her meal and was carrying her tray over to the trashcan just outside of the cafeteria when she heard a group of boys laughing just a few feet away.
They were all upper classmen, and they were pushing around a small, scrawny Freshman. He was scrunched together and passively took the bullying he was receiving.
"And would you look at that hair? I bet if I picked you up and dipped you in a bucket of water, I could mop the cafeteria floor with you!" one of the boys quipped, causing a roll of laughter to escape him and the other two.
Melody growled and flung her trash into the trashcan, then left her tray on a nearby table. Once the trash was taken care of, she marched over to the group.
"Hey! What the hell are you guys doing!? Don't you have anything better to do!?" she shouted.
One of the boys looked up at her. "Aw look, Mama's come to the rescue. Are you gonna warm up a bottle of milk for the little baby? Give him his pacie?" the boy cooed mockingly, then laughed and nudged the other boy next to him.
"You guys think you can just push the little guys around because you're upper classmen? How pathetic your lives must be if you can't find something better to do than push around a younger kid. That's just sad," she spat, practically punching her hips with her fists as she stanced. "Leave him alone or I'll file a bullying report on all of you."
The young, fluffy redhead the upper classmen were teasing looked up at Melody, a flicker of hope in his eyes. Fire the first time today, he was having an interaction with an upper classman who wasn't going to push him around. He watched her both curiously and with awe.
