Ah, well I was just wondering, it's a pretty good game. Play it or watch it, or something. I am pretty sure you'd enjoy it. But hey, that's just personal opinion I suppose.

Can you recommend a good Let's Play of it, preferably one with lite to no commentary from the player? I find that unless it's Markiplier talking, I don't want to hear a lot of chit-chat.

Uhm well I could find one. Also if you like the Game Grumps or Jacksepticeye they both played it to the end.

[QUOTE="The One Eyed Bandit]Ian cometh.

[/QUOTE]I swear, I started to hear the "Stanley Parable" music while reading his bio.
No idea how he made it to Lyra, at least not without the shadow dude's ship turning into a Southwest Airlines DC-10 and all of space turning into a nonstop from New York to Paris.

I'm already imagining how fun it will be for people to come up with their "boring average" versions of their characters, and then trying to figure out what combat with Ian looks like. Like Akan suddenly becomes the CEO of a West Coast tech startup, and does battle with Ian via Facebook argument.

I'm already imagining the locations description for Earth:

>>E A R T H

Mostly harmless

This distant planet is one of nine eight other planets comprising The Solar System, a generic arrangement of space matter in orbit around its own single star. Of the nine... EIGHT planets, only one of them managed to support life, and it hasn't shut up about it since.

The Solar System lives in an "empty universe" pocket dimension, one which is currently being used to decorate the crib-room of a celestial being's infant child (in a manner similar to wallpaper). Beings native to The Solar System can pass from their reality to the City Of New Austrand simply by exiting their pocket dimension quietly, so as not to wake the baby.

Beings native to The Solar System obsess over doomsday prophecy, and nearly every major conflict on their surface can be linked to their cult-like fascination with the topic. Each opinion has its own large faction of supporters who are adamant that their interpretation is correct and all who disagree will have to die. This is presumably so they can't live long enough to see how wrong they were.

The reason for this has to do with an event Solar System historians would call "The Great Warning", if there were a such thing as "Solar System historians". The Great Warning refers to the day that the child-god's parents looked upon the walls of the nursery, and found them to be tacky. In a voice audible to the entire universe, the father muttered a promise to scrape and re-paint once their protege was off to college.

Anyways, since The Solar System (and particularly Earth) are painfully aware on a subconscious level, of both their true cosmic insignificance and inevitable annihilation, one of their most powerful coping mechanisms is humor. Denizens of Earth who somehow manage to make their way to New Austrand, will typically have to possess two qualities: powers unusual for a Solar System being to possess, and not taking themselves too seriously. The last element is very important; Solar System beings who take themselves too seriously will go mad at the very prospect of other dimensional realities (and how much more real and important they are than The Solar System). A good sense of humor buffers this, causing the newly-enlightened Sol-dweller to be all "Eh, that seems about right." It's also the one thing that has protected the multiverse from exposure to country music.

For this reason, beings arriving in Lyra from Earth are most likely crossing over via New Austrand. They are presumed to be highly dangerous and unpredictable individuals. Their powers will challenge the combat skills of even the most seasoned veterans of celestial war, and even victory is Pyrrhic when your every war story sounds like the babblings of cosmic teenage gamer-nerdies, endeavoring to get each other to spit beverages from nostrils.

uhh about that

earth kinda isn't gonna be in this rp the closest thing to it would be some parts of Sitia which u can feel free to make a city in @The One Eyed Bandit

Other than that I love ur character, might disallow the power from changing Valhalla's appearance though

Anyway sorry I'll make more lengthy replies to everyone when I return from swimming

Can we set a deadline for the other people so we can start the RP already?

Alright my sheet is done other than the sample. Once I do that, and then the ascend thing. I'll be done.

@SachiGrl yes I'll try and review everyone's character as quick as I can and get everything updated, but it still may take a while – once I get closer to completion I'll put up an official start date

Also, is your friend still interested in being a judge?

He said he'll think about it, but I'm beginning to doubt it.

; ;

Sorry

Ok, update:

I'm gonna stop focusing on trying to bbcode the planets as i barely have time to sit down and do all that so I'm gonna focus on creating a character and finding 3 judges. After that we can start (and if anyone knows somebody who might want to be a judge feel free to direct them my way :P )

@Swimswamswom I am still making a character, but I've been a bit busy with school stuff. I'm on vacation in a few days, I'll finish my character soon.

came up with the concept of my character so i should have it done by the end of this weekend probably maybe sorta?

also I'm having no luck finding any judges ;-;

update: i have been filled to my limits with homework and swimming stuff this weekend and i only need to think of a power for my character and then ill just whip the rest out ASAP
