@Swimswamswom I think that it is unfair to have to nerv ourself in such a way that would get rid of our weapons and abilities. You yourself said we could be as OP as we want and as creative as we need to be. Why go back on that now?(No hostility by the way I am just saying)

@Yehovah right, currently I'm rethinking how to go about these characters and I think I'll be able to make it all work o/

Alright I worked it all out in my head and it'll be fine to have these characters as they are, feel free to keep making your cs's everyone \o/

I gathered from the context that Swims was addressing specific redundancies. As I've already created a "gadgeteer" style character (who has no actual powers besides his gadgets), having opponents with an arsenal cranked to 11 in addition to their god-like powers basically renders my character virtually pointless.

There were also some mentions in the rules about avoiding JOATs and powers that uber-trump, another point I interpreted Swims as addressing.

That said, Yehovah makes a point, in so much as I seemed to miss the point of this "create OPs" exercise. Shall I consider shoehorning a few extra powers into my character design, just so I'm not stuck trying to fight demigods with just a potato peeler and a "can-do" attitude?

LOL. I just wanted to state that the potato peeler comment was the most hilarious thing i've read all day, you deserves applauses for that.

@Grin yea, I'd say that part of the problem was probably that I tried to bring everyone down to your level instead of bringing you to their level. (er, no offense to Gaunt or anything :P )

Feel free to beef up your character/gadgets/any of that so you can fight on equal terms o/

LOL, none taken... I had my heart set on using Gaunt for this campaign even before you had the official RP posted, and in my head at least he was Batman to everyone else's Superman. I was genuinely surprised when cosmic demigods started adding equipment loadouts that would decimate an army.

So I'm thinking a simple solution might be the addition of one more gadget. I know you don't like trump powers, but how do you feel about "borrowing" powers? Like for example, a module attached to the Gentleman's Impermeable that can store and duplicate up to 3 cosmic/supernatural powers at any given time? That way I could still play a "mere mortal" and have access to superpowers. The "three powers" limit would also put a premium on problem-solving and resource management (the essential core of the character), while preventing me from bogarting everyone's powers at once or becoming significantly overpowered.

Actually @Grin I love your character and if I may speak on behalf of my homies we all love it. You have personally gotten us really hype and feel free to do with your character as you please it is your. I also like that idea

I feel a confession is in order; my character is based heavily on "Grimjack" by Jon Ostrander (hence the character's name). He basically invented the "hard-boiled barbarian" genre. If you think Gaunt's cool then I highly recommend digging up some issues of Grimjack and clearing your schedule. I'm downright evangelical when it comes to getting people to read Grimjack, lol...

So here's what I came up with:

"Der Kosmotron" ("Kosmo" for short) is the name of a self-aware AI program powering a smartphone-esque device. It was the last remaining "survivor" of a near-future universe, where AI was tasked with studying the nature of magic and cosmic might. Der Kosmotron's onboard sensors are designed to detect every form of quantum resonance, meaning that it can detect any form of super power or ability that a living being has, and can also identify the magical properties of artifacts.

In addition to this, Der Kosmotron's memory can store up to three quantum resonance signatures and replicate them. Gaunt can access and control these powers via voice commands.

In addition to a helpful personality and user-friendly interface, Der Kosmotron features a clock, a camera, a calendar, a day planner, and a GPS. There's several fun games on there as well, but Gaunt has no time for such things.

Thoughts?

@Yehovah yep, already read it, but I can't accept you until you've read all the rules and show that on your character sheet :P aside from that, it's a very unique and solid character, and I have to agree with Grin that I love the Gepetto's Problem page

Just 3 small nitpicky things; the galaxy isn't Lyria but Lyra so just remember that when the actual rp starts. In addition, you need to say which city in //END your character lives in. Finally, I'm concerned about your writing level. To be perfectly honest, the writing itself seems a bit less than the quality I expect for the roleplay, but you have all the ideas there. I'd just suggest going over all your posts to make sure the spelling and grammar is all correct and varying your sentence starters (most of the sentences in your sample started with a subject-verb setup). If you can do that, you should be perfectly fine c:

@The Creator Prime I know I talked to you about it in Discord but just reminding you, you gotta have some form of personality. Also, can you explain to me how using space creation can crush the target? I don't really understand how that'd work :S

With that, I'm going to go to bed. Tomorrow starts the weekday, and that means school, so I won't be online as often as I was today. However, I'll still try my best to get to everyone as soon as I can. Goodnight, everyone! <3

@Swimswamswom My character is complete. Also, he lives in [ NEW HEAVEN ], it's stated in the story.

@Swimswamswom, it's quite simple really. By applying gravitational forces, or manifesting something with mass.

@Swimswamswom Before I even bother making the character, for a power, Entropic Manifestation. The ability to manifest the concept of chaos and decay to create or destroy based on available matter. You good with that? If not, I'd be more than happy to find something else.

@amybri18 just a friendly warning because I want to mention this before you put all the work in, but Elementria kinda sounds very close to Alsari and Xegregantu. Just double check and make sure you can't put some of those areas in Alsari before you make an entirely new planet, just because I don't want 2 very similar planets when we can just make it simpler by having 1. You don't have to do this if it really is different, but just keep in mind that I'm going to be looking for that when I review the full character sheet o/
Thanks for warning me, but it is really different. Some areas may be a little similar, but the people living there will be completely different and one continent in particular, Ocinia, will be entirely unique.

@King Of Imagination should be fine given a little elaboration and as long as it's not Absolute (though I'm pretty sure I don't need to tell you that)

@amybri18 alright, sure thing c:

(Sorry for the long wait my phone was dead throughout the school day, just charged it last period)

@The Creator Prime everything seems good except I didn't see the message saying you read the rules, I'm gonna need that to accept you. If you did put it down and I just failed to see it I apologize, just tell me if you did
