Dax growls as he is now frozen to the wall.


Twilight looks to see him frozen and gets angry. "You struck a deal and said you'd let him go! What is wrong with you all?!" She says as her hands begin to sizzle and let up smoke. Twilight couldn't take it anymore. She shot her fire beams at the ice until he was melted, then took his hand. "I'm going with him! My boyfriend, my problem!!" She announced angrily as she kept him close to her.


"Twilight?" He said, surprised. Twilight looked to him. "SHUT UP!!!" She screamed at him, then looked back at them.

 

[Assailant]

God, she is really fucking annoying.


Seriously. God I can't stand her whining





"First off, they made a deal, not me. Second, it was a loophole." Out of nowhere, Terence teleports and sucker punches Twilight.


"Terence!" Alex yells, aghast and angry.


"Sorry, I just REALLY couldn't stand her."





"GAH!" Three yells in anger. "I'm done with this bullshit! I just remembered I don't even care about civilians! Go fuck 'em all up, I don't care!" Three says. Nil stares wide eyed before looking at everyone else.


"That is the first time I've ever seen her rage out. You guys are really something."

Twilight gets knocked back and drops tears from the punch, but also gets up and makes tiny daggers out of fire. "YOU LITTLE SHITBAG!! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?!" She says as she fires the dagger and doesn't stop making them and firing them. Dax sees this and debated whether to help or not, then it let go of its hold on Dax for now. Twilight kept firing and kept the daggers around her body, making a barrier out of them that was to close for Terence to teleport too.

 

[Assailant]

Terence simply hides behind a corner and waits as the daggers keep firing. Alex sits back and watches, Three pouts where she stands, and Nil constantly creates and disassembles guns dismissively.


"Is this what you guys are like?"





"Pretty Much." A voice says. Sonic turns to see Felix sitting up, staring at him. "Who are you?"





"My name is Sonic! I'm a music conduit! I've been a big fan of you guys for awhile now, and-"





"NO!" Felix yells out to him. "Run while you still can! Get out of here! Our enemies don't know about you, you're still okay!"





"What's wrong? I signed up for this, and since Flow died I-"





"Flow's... dead?" A look of shock and hurt crosses Felix's face as he looks down to the ground, holding back tears.





"Is he okay?"





"Last time they had someone who was immature and worshipped the FFA," Nil finally speaks up, "Felix became very attached to him. Then bad things happened, and Felix holds himself accountable ever since."

Dax wakes up. "Twi? Twi!" He says and tries to stop her, but she accidentally knocks him out. Again. Since she did, it took control over Dax's body once more. "Wow, you all are more stupid than you look. By the way three, I wasn't gonna go hurt people. Now if you excuse me, I have places to be." It said and left as fast as he could this time. Twilight calms down finally and looks over at Alex. "Tell your brother this is why women don't like him." She said coldly, then went over to Felix. "We're sorry Felix. She was taken by jax apparently. Dax said he heard something about a new sire, I believe that's what's going to happen." She said.

 

[Assailant]

Hey Terence, Twiley wants me to tell you-


I heard.





Sonic looks at the solemn mood of the place. Felix is hurting himself over something that's not his fault (he assumes,) Everyone else is angry. Sonic frowns. I have to do something. Sonic thinks for a moment before smiling and beginning to channel a





. Using Void Music, a little upbeat riff begins to come out of nowhere.
Sonic waits as the music builds before a smile crosses his face.


Stand on up and take a bow,





there's something there and it's showing.





There's no need to look around,





you're the best we've got going!





Sonic jumps up onto a box, focusing primarily on Felix for the moment. Felix looks up at him, curious as to what he's doing.


Shout out to the dreams you'll chase,

Sonic smiles as a light begins to emanate from his chest. He clutches it tight against himself.

Sonic opens his eyes and thrusts out the ball of golden light, as it flies out in front of him and hovers in the air.

The ball of light explodes into a beautiful sphere encompassing everyone, as gold lights hover around within the sphere.

Sonic jumps off his little pedestal and walks over to Felix with a smile.

During the whole chorus, he even got his own voice overlay for the echo effects. He then turns to Alex and Terence.

Sonic then begins to levitate into the air, along with Alex and Terence.

He approaches them even closer.

He smiles as a golden aura begins to emanate from the twins, as they look on in shock, but nonetheless with huge smiles plastered on their faces.

He then turns to the ex-shadows and Twilight, and surprisingly even the shadows are both smiling. The same golden aura begins to radiate from them.

Sonic begins to levitate higher as a huge golden light shoots from all around him.

He finishes as golden lights fall from the ceiling. He falls to his feet and pants, looking around as everyone smiles.





"Did you just cheer everyone up from a mood? Did you just cheer FELIX up from a mood?" She asks, looking to see Felix standing and beaming with joy. "God damn kid, you're hired!"

Twilight was surprisingly changed, feeling happier than before! She still hated Terence for punching her, but she was happy for now. "Amazing! How does it work? How did you change a mood with a song like that?! It's astounding! Sonic, do you mind if I do some research on your power? I'm going to need a blood sample, then we can hook you up to the machines and read your brainwaves, and then and then-" she tried to keep going on, but sighed and just smiled. "My bad, I'm usually like this." She said, embarrassed.

Sonic smiles. "No *huff* problem!" He says, panting slightly. "I *huff* was running low *huff* on energy though *huff*" Sonic sits down. "You can *huff* work on *huff* that science *huff* stuff on me *huff* just *huff* let me *huff* take a breather." And then Sonic fell over and instantly fell asleep.


"How the hell did he make me happy? I shouldn't even be able to be happy." Three says, her tone betraying her attempt to sound stoic. She still had a giddy tone in her voice.


"Maybe you've changed since you had a moral switch Amethyst," Felix says. Three glares at him, which didn't match her slowly receding smile. Nonetheless, Felix still smiled on.





"You wouldn't call Nil Max, don't call me Amethyst." Felix sighs and nods. The mention of Max brought him down a bit, but he was STILL HAPPY!


"God, his music is like a drug... What I just said sounds like a bad pop song."


"Hey, at least his music is a good pop song." Alex adds in.

Twilight sat down next to Sonic. "I'll study him when he wakes. He needs to recharge at the moment." She said as she rested a bit herself. "I wonder how Dax is doing..." She said and looked to a window, wondering how he was.


Meanwhile, a district was being destroyed by...Dax? He saw somebody try to resist and say "You're wrong for doing this, not right y'know!!" Dax sighed and summoned a flamethrower from the card. "Rule 1, I am always right. Rule 2, if I'm wrong, refer to rule one." He said, then burned the man to death and continued to terrorize the district.

 

[Assailant]

Three laughed. "Probably out killing people. Let's see, shall we?" She then turns on the news, looks at it for a few moments, then turns it off. "Yep, he's killing people. A lot too, genuinely rivals Felix."

It laughed as it killed people. "WHAT?!" She said in shock. She turned on the tv to see Dax with green eyes standing in front of the news camera. "Ladie's and gentleman, there's a new law in town. You may call me...I.C.A.R.U.S. Hahahahaha..HAHAHAHAHA!!!" He screamed out. Twilight turned off the Tv in slight anger and fear. "T-that's not him..That's not the Dax I know." She said.

 

[Assailant]

"Tell that to the politicians and the families of those he's killed."





"We'll call this personality Icarus. He'll be taken down by his own arrogance."


"What makes you say that?" Alex asks, getting up from where he once was.


"Do you know the myth of Icarus?"


"No," Terence says, joining him.


"The myth states that Daedalus, the master craftsman, built wings of feather and wax to escape from Crete. He made two sets, one for himself and one for his son, Icarus. He warned Icarus not to fly too close to the ocean, as the dampness would ruin his wings. He also warned him not to fly too close to the sun, as it would melt the wax. Icarus ignored him, and flew too close to the sun in order to do tricks and impress his father. His wings melted, and he plummeted to his death. It was meant to teach the lesson of hubris. Judging by the fact that he killed so few people, and thinks he rules the city, that'll be his downfall."

 

[Mist Demon]

"I'll be fine. I was worried that the GCE might not of left or that they were going to come back and possibly find me then. Now I think I'll attempt to make my way back home to my husband and three kids."


The nurse said as she began to find blood bags that had been hidden away from sight and thus weren't found by the GCE when they took everything. It wasn't much but as she continued looking around the number of bags continued to grow and grow.


"Are the two of you sure you don't need my help with whatever you need all of this for?"


Nico who had been silently following along and taking in the dead silence of the hospital finally chimed in.


"We won't need your help, for you've already done more than enough."


The black haired youth said as the nurse finally stopped and began handing over all of the bags she could find. This would hopefully be enough to even have extra left over to drink afterwords. As the Demon's spawn thanked her one last time he then began to head towards the catacombs.

Whatever weapons the GCE soldiers were holding the one thing that was clear was that it didn't fire any sort of traditional bullet like any normal gun. Still, none of them fired as Akuma stepped in the path of the red headed division leader. Finally he spoke.


"Where does the path to redemption lie?"


"Only through miles of clouded Hell," the Demon then replied. It was clear that had been a code of sorts as the ginger soldier began talking into his wireless headset about setting up the meeting and he ordered the rest of the soldiers to stand down.


"It wasn't part of the arrangement for you to bring friends."


"Can you blame me for being cautious? I wouldn't put it past your employer to try and forcefully take what he wants so desperately from me." Zabuza said as a fang filled smile crept across his face.


The red headed soldier walked back over to the black limousine and opened the door.


"Right this way sirs."

 

[Assailant]

Jax nods to the woman. "Good luck." He says. He then follows after Nico and clenches his fists. "That was too far Zabuza," he murmurs under his breath. "That was too far."

Jax continues walking until he sees fire bursting everywhere and sees Dax roasting people alive. "Should we deal with that? I want to deal with that. Dealing with that seems fun... Heh, Jax vs Dax. But... we have to get to Flow, so..."




"We'll have to deal with that in the morning," Alex says before Felix can respond.


"We're pooped," Terence adds. They both lie down and attempt to go to sleep. Felix looks over at the still unconscious Sonic and sighs.


"I'm pretty tired too..." Felix decides, lying down. Nil goes back to sleep as Three continues her shift. Felix lies there for a moment before closing his eyes, and slowly drifting back to sleep.


The nightmares continued.




For awhile we lived in the swamp side mansion. It was nice, housed a lot of people, and was secluded. There was no reason to leave. Well, there were two. One was the swamp monsters, but they weren't really that troubling. As long as you didn't wander, you were fine. The second reason was much more intimidating. We tried to leave in time. We couldn't.


Screams cry out from all around as people are rushing everywhere. Felix looks around the horde of people, shouting orders. "Everyone get your stuff! The strongest conduits, get to battle stations!"


"Why?" Ryan asked. Felix showed him the balcony. A small group of shadows were marching in. It was relatively small, so it shouldn't be a problem. Then they would notice who was leading it. Three.


Three conduits rushed outside to confront Three before she quickly took some swamp water and grabbed them, dragging them into the watery abyss. Air bubbles rose to the surface, before stopping as blood surfaced. Three then jumped into the water as ice formed around her feet and she rose herself into the air. Water swirled around her as she bombarded the house. Conduits were impaled by ice and glass, drowned, fire and electricity conduits perished rapidly.


Felix broke out, along with many others, as the squad behind Three opened fire. Conduits began to fall, but the soldiers were easily dispatched. Then Three noticed the group trying to flee and created a huge wave that captured many. Felix had no choice. He fled.


When everyone was safe, the survivors were counted.


23 conduits were lost. So many lives down the literal and figurative drain. So many... dead.

 

[Mist Demon]

Nico casually whistled as he continued on walking towards the catacombs while people were being gruesomely killed left and right by a deranged Dax.


"I don't really care what you do. To me that looks like a problem for the FFA, DUP, or even GCE. My heroic deed for the day is going to be bringing back the person you killed. Besides, I need to hurry and do that so that Zabuza won't have to bother himself with it once he returns."


The Demon's spawn said as he was still curious on how his first revival and siring would go.

 

[Assailant]

Jax watches before deciding he's too tired to interfere. "I'll do it later if he's still up to it. GOOD JOB IDIOT!!" He calls out to I.C.A.R.U.S. He then continues walking as the entrance to the catacombs approaches. "I gotta be honest, I'm psyched. I have never been able to sneak into a Sire base... well, once or twice I have. But I've never actually seen a revival done. I HAVE seen a siring occur, but never a revival. Zabuza's always so cryptic about those things. Is that the right word? I don't care... there are a lot of abbreviations," Jax rambles.

 

[Mist Demon]

"There's a reason why you've never seen a revival. It leaves the user so incredibly weak afterwords that it's too much of a danger for others to be around. That's why Zabuza only ever did it when he was absolutely alone in a location only he knew of."


Nico said as he walked down towards where they had left Flow's corpse.


"Just like there'd be nothing stopping you from shooting a wire through my head once I finish doing this if I were to allow you to watch."

"Oh, come on Nico! I'd like to think we'd have bonded more than this. Can't you trust me? We're cool, man! Besides, I did kill Flow... I think it's only fair I get to see the revival." Jax grasps Nico's shoulder "We're practically best friends by now!" Jax walks faster so he's in front of Nico and walks backwards, looking at him. "Besides, even if I DID kill you, Zabuza would send everything he's got at me. In an inside location with a ton of guys after me, even I know I wouldn't last long. He could revive you anyway! PRETTY PLEASE?!"

Icarus looked back and smiled as he kept burning people. "Aww, thanks buddy! I'd share with you, but the majority are dead!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!" He said, laughging maniacally at the end as the chaos didn't stop.

"I hope you're not this annoying for the next couple of hours. It's going to be a long night."


Nico finally said as he walked past Jax and sat beside Flow's lifeless body. The Demon's spawn placed down all of the blood bags they had obtained from the hospital in front of him and took out a pocket knife he had brought along for this special occasion. As the raven haired boy prepared himself for what he was about to do Snow walked over and watched completely fascinated by what was about to happen.


Without any more hesitation the conduit placed his wrist over Flow's mouth and slit it so that blood could drip down into the body. Nico winced at the pain but noticed how quickly his flesh mended itself back together and sealed the wound. Thus he began to process of cutting again and again that made him question how Zabuza had ever bared through this pain. Each time as the Demon's spawn began to feel too weak he took a bag or two of blood and greedily sank his fangs into it to give him the energy he so desperately needed.

 

[Assailant]

Jax watches the whole thing, completely enraptured. It's amazing that they can heal that fast. Being a Sire sounds great, if not for being enslaved. Jax only talked once during the entire procedure, and only to ask Nico a question. "If I told Zabuza that I'd rather die than be a Sire, do you think he wouldn't just assume I want to be brought back as a Sire?"

 

[Mist Demon]

"You're asking if he would go against your wishes. I suspect he'd bring you back but I doubt he would sire you if you didn't want the power."


Nico spoke but he was already past physically exhausted. On the bright side they were now just playing the waiting game. Over the past several hours life had slowly crept back into Flow's lifeless corpse as her wounds had mended back together and color had returned to her body. If one paid attention they could notice she was breathing again, which is why they were all waiting for her to wake up.


Chances were Flow would be just as physically exhausted as Nico currently was after returning back from death itself.

 

[Assailant]

Flow gasps as her eyes open, startling Jax. Flow pops up and feels around in her teeth. "Oh, I've been sired? That friggin' sucks." She looks over at Jax. "Hey asshole."


"Hey bitch."


"Ooh, that's cold," She says to him. She then looks over to Nico. "Wait, you can sire people? I thought only Zabuza could do that." She moves her hands over her head like a rainbow as said rainbow appears. "The more you know," she sings.


"I thought she'd be... tired," Jax says.


"Well, fuck you," She says back, giving him the finger.
