For the birth ceremony


The Shaman helps with the delivery of the Birth along with the Den Mother, both guiding the mother through the birth and the Shaman giving her herbal supplements and offering prayers to Nasci. As soon as the child is born (even if it is a still born), the Shaman will use his/her claw to cut an Osci in the pups fore arm, licking the open cut before the father and mother do the same to create a connection between them.


After this event, assuming the pup is healthy enough (if not once the pup is) the pup ism placed on the sacred altar stone and ever members of the tribe passes the pup, saying the pups name and then their own.
