Am I the only one here whoxs silently contemplating the broad brushstrokes, when I see a spot for a nimble stroke, I will take it, but I prefer to just hit the ground running and improvise 90% of my rp.


Also, SO MANY SPOILERS, GAH, I'm gonna love the rp, but I'm keeping my character in the dark cuz I love the big dramatic reveal. Don't get me wrong, love spoilers, just... wow everyone loves detailed characters, there great, but I love the improvisation of rp. Basic facts, then the rest is learned in the rp, thats how I like doing characters.


Anyway, all that aside, everyone has great characters.

Personally I think the "dramatic reveal" of character facts just makes it easier to improvise/make a mary/garu sue. If you're making up traits as you go, thinking of faults isn't exactly your priority, but thinking of a dramatic backstory probably is, so it'll be more on the backstory, which is what you will likely do. As an amnesiac, it's pretty easy to create a backstory.


As for posts, I imagine they'd be mostly short in the beginning, since you don't really know stuff, and then they'd slowly build. To make longer RP posts, I like to "load up" my posts with a bunch of random details since if I were in any situation the first thing I'd do is survey the area, so that would be a tip to making longer RP posts.

I've watched a bit of High School of the Dead and a bit of Fullmetal Alchemist (first series, second one is called fullmetal alchemist brotherhood) and I watched a little bit of the first episode of Ouran High School Host Club, personally I dislike it.


Thank you for indirectly motivating me to re-watch the series.

@TurtleGod Fullmetal is definitely worth it. If you go through with it, try watching Conqueror Of Shamballa before starting Brotherhood! It's a FMA movie that pretty much tells you what happens after the finale of the first series. It's interesting, but not needed if you don't want too.


High School Of The Dead is...well HSOTD. Boobs everywhere.


And Ouran is more of a comedy than anything else. Of course because it's a host club, there's snippets of romance everywhere, but there's probably at most four episodes that actually have any real type of romance between the main characters, and it's still not a ton.
